Und wenn wir davor nicht die Ohren verschließen, dann erschrecken wir.Haben wir aber diesen schrecklichen Zustand richtig begriffen, dann ist es wieder die göttliche Gnade, die uns den Glauben an die Vergebung durch das Opfer Jesu Christi schenkt. Dadurch weicht dann alle Angst einer anhaltenden Freude und der Gewissheit, auf ewig errettet zu sein.Leider wird oft nicht über Gottes gerechten Zorn über die Sünde der Menschen gepredigt. Aber wo nur vom »lieben Gott« die Rede ist, da geht es nicht um den großen und heiligen Gott der Bibel, sondern um eine menschliche Erfindung. Die Weihnacht kommt im klaren Winterwind ins Tal. Die Mutter beugt sich über ihr Kind, der Vater steht weit entfernt im Feld auf Wache, und viele Sterne leuchten durch die graue Nacht. Zwei Sterne spiegeln sich in den Augen unseres Kindes und zeigen: Wir gehören zusammen. Der Liedtext aus der Sammlung Deutsche Kriegsweihnacht (München 1942) fasst typische Elemente der nationalsozialistischen Weihnachtskultur zusammen. Zum einen wird das Fest mit einer eher vagen Naturmystik verbunden – Winter, Nacht, Sterne. Zum anderen spielt der stark idealisierte Mutterkult eine wichtige Rolle. In dem Lied von Hans Baumann (1914–1988) kommt außerdem die Figur des Vaters hinzu, der als Soldat im Feld steht und Wache hält. Wie Weihnachten in Stalingrad gefeiert wurde – sowohl von den eingeschlossenen deutschen Soldaten als auch von den sowjetischen Truppen –, wollen wir in dieser Folge genauer untersuchen. Dafür müssen wir zunächst etwas ausholen und klären: Welche Bedeutung hatte Weihnachten im Nationalsozialismus?

Ein Thema, das viele Menschen bewegt, weil sie es hautnah zu spüren bekommen, ist der Klima- und Umweltschutz. Die Frage, die sich gerade die Stadtbewohner stellt, ist: Wie kriegen wir die Luft wieder sauber? Die Menschen in Stuttgart können ein Lied davon singen. Die Kessel-Lage der Stadt sorgt gerade im Zentrum immer wieder für sprichwörtlich dicke Luft. Hinzu kommt, dass die baden-württembergische Landeshauptstadt eben auch eine Autostadt ist. Hunderttausende Autos stoßen Tag für Tag jede Menge Stickstoffdioxide und Feinstaub aus. Sinnbild für die Luftverschmutzung in Stuttgart war das Neckartor. Es galt lange Zeit als die dreckigste Kreuzung Deutschlands. Das hat sich geändert. Die Luft ist sauberer geworden. Die Messwerte liegen stabil unterhalb der Grenzwerte. Deshalb wurden im September die 23 Luftfiltersäulen abgebaut. Abgeschaltet wurden die Anlagen schon vor einem Jahr. Über diesen Erfolg spricht SWR Aktuell-Moderator Andreas Böhnisch mit Martin Körner. Als Leiter des Grundsatzreferats Klimaschutz, Mobilität und Wohnen ist er im Stuttgarter Rathaus für den Klimaschutz zuständig. Er sagt, mittlerweile könne man am Neckartor sogar unbedenklich einen Kaffee im Freien trinken. Seit Jahren liege man unter den Grenzwerten – sowohl was Feinstaub als auch was Stickstoffdioxid angeht. Das führt Körner auf mehrere Ursachen zurück. Man habe zum Beispiel gelernt, dass ein flüssiger Verkehr besser sei als ständiges Stop-and-go. Warum er findet, dass die Entwicklung des Neckartors ein gutes Beispiel gegen Politikverdrossenheit ist, erklärt er im Gespräch mit SWR Aktuell-Moderator Andreas Böhnisch.

Es gab nur einen – den Münchner Konstatin Wecker. „Willy“ war eine der Hymnen von uns 68igern – wer nicht genießt, wird ungenießbar mein Lied gegen alle Spießer – auch die linksliberalen unter ihnen. „Ich weiß, ihr hättet mich sehr gerne redlich, reif und situiert, lasst euren Käse reifen ich bleib lieber weiter unkastriert.“ Ja, das war was für den Günter der Friedensbewegung, der Studentenrevolte, gegen alle Angepasstheit.Das Bild des Heiligen hat Risse bekommen. Wecker stürzte ab, konsumierte sage und schreibe 1 Kilo Kokain in einem Jahr, häufte im selben Zeitraum 3 Millionen Schulden auf, gab in dieser Zeit 60 Konzerte und drehte zwei Filme. Einige Theaterauftritte kamen auch dazu. Unglaublich und unvorstellbar.„Sage nein“ wurde 2024 die Hymne der deutschen MeToo Bewegung. Urheber des Songs: Konstantin Wecker. In seiner Absturzzeit war der 63jährige Wecker, rechtskräftig verurteilt zu 2 Jahren und 8 Monaten Knast, mit einer 15jährigen zusammen. Eindeutig: das ist Kindesmissbrauch. Ausgerechnet vom Gewissen der Nation.Die Kulturszene ist ratlos. Soll man Wecker jetzt die verliehenen Preise für seinen Kampf gegen Missbrauch, für Gerechtigkeit und Menschenwürde aberkennen? Ja, Wecker ist tief gefallen. Er weiß das und er bereut über 265 Seiten in seinem Buch „Der Liebe zuliebe“. Er ist geläutert – und er wird bezahlen. Das Sakrament wirkt unabhängig vom Amtsträger. Die Sünden der Heiligen trösten uns mehr als ihre Tugenden. Und: Die Texte von Wecker bleiben wahr – auch wenn er seine hohen Ideale nicht leben konnte. Ich bewundere Dich nach wie vor Konstantin. Ja, dieses alte geistliche Liederbuch und die meisten seiner 348 Lieder sind heute in Vergessenheit geraten. Doch jener Choral mit der Nummer 41 ist der meistgesungene und beliebteste Choral der Welt. Kein anderes Lied kommt ihm auch nur annähernd gleich, denn er wird noch heute mindestens zehn Millionen Mal im Jahr öffentlich gesungen.Die erste Strophe des weltweit bekannten Liedes spricht für sich: »Erstaunliche Gnade! (welch lieblicher Klang) / Die ein Schuft wie mich errettet hat! / Einst war ich verloren, doch nun bin ich gefunden; / War blind, doch nun sehe ich.« Wie kommt jemand dazu, solche Aussagen zu machen?Der ehemalige Sklavenhändler John Newton, der auf einer seiner Seereisen zum lebendigen Glauben an Jesu Christus gefunden hatte, diente schon seit einigen Jahren als Pastor in Olney. Als Newton sich mit seinem Bibeltext (1. Chronik 17,16-17) für seine Neujahrespredigt im Jahre 1773 auseinandersetzte, war er davon tief bewegt. Die gleiche Gnade Gottes, über die der König David schreibt und dankbar staunt, hatte Newton nun selbst erlebt. Beide hatten sie schlimme Sünden in ihrem Leben begangen, doch beide empfingen sie ohne eigenes Verdienst Gottes Barmherzigkeit und Gnade. Die Worte Davids hätten Newtons eigene sein können, als dieser schrieb: »Wer bin ich, HERR, Gott, und was ist mein Haus, dass du mich bis hierher gebracht hast?« (1.
