Bydd llawer iawn o bobl yn gyfarwydd â Dr Ioan Rees diolch i gyfres deledu boblogaidd Ffit Cymru ar S4C, ond efallai mai llawer llai fydd yn gwybod ei fod hefyd yn athletwr dycnwch llwyddiannus. Mae Ioan yn un o arbenigwyr Ffit Cymru, ac mae'r seicolegydd wedi bod yn ganolog i lwyddiant y gyfres, a'r rhai sy'n cymryd rhan ynddi yn eu hymdrechion i golli pwysau a byw yn fwy iach. Ac mae ganddo brofiad uniongyrchol o ymgymryd â phroses debyg ei hun wrth iddo golli 6 stôn dros gwta 9 mis er mwyn cymryd rhan yn ei Ironman cyntaf yn 2009. Ers hynny, mae wedi cwblhau 5 Ironman arall gan ddod a'i amser lawr i 12 awr. Mae'r sgwrs gyda Dr Ioan yn amserol iawn wrth i gyfyngiadau Covid lacio ac wrth i ni obeithio gweld rasio'n dychwelyd i Gymru, a'r heriau seicolegol sy'n ein wynebu i gyd gyda hynny. Ond ar un pryd, Angharad oedd rhedwraig marathon gorau Cymru hefyd. Mae ei hamser gorau o 2:38:47 dros y pellter ym 1996 yn dal i'w gosod yn y 10 Uchaf o ferched Cymreig erioed, ac fe gafodd y cyfle i redeg ym Mhencampwriaethau Athletau'r Byd yn Athen y flwyddyn ganlynol. Er iddi roi'r gorau i redeg am 15 mlynedd flwyddyn yn dilyn anaf ym 1998, fe ail-gydiodd ynddi fel rhedwr hŷn, a llwyddo i dorri record Ewrop yn y categori oedran V55! Mae hanes Angharad yn un hynod o ddifyr, gymaint felly nes bod digon o ddeunydd i rannu'r bennod yn ddau - bydd yr ail ran yn ymddangos wythnos nesaf. SRD Presents: Cerddoriaeth Celtica E13: Tan yn Llŷn Welcome to Cerddoriaeth Celtica, a companion piece for the Starlight Radio Dreams series “Celtica”. When we conceived of Celtica the desire was to create an adventure serial which used music as part of the action and story. From using music to power Celtica’s magic tools to musical numbers for the big moments, Celtica does exactly that. And Cerddoriaeth Celtica lets us further explore the beauty of Celtic music, both as part of the serial and just for its own sake. In this episode of Cerddoriaeth Celtica, Karolyn Blake, co writer for Celtica and the actor behind the title character, sings “Tan yn Llŷn" a Welsh folk song by Plethyn. This song is a tribute to the power that protest and property damage have to change hearts and minds, and it reminds us that the power structures we oppose now have their roots in the distant past. In the show Celtica, Gwynedd and Celtica sang this song when they were planning to blow up the Draugr’s foundry. We framed most of that episode as an homage to this moment in modern Welsh history. Starlight Radio Dreams continues to stand with protesters and to affirm that Black Lives Matter. Keep yourselves safe, and stay well. Host and Artist- Karolyn Blake. Co host: Grant Blake. Producer: Ansel Burch. Special thanks to Plethyn for writing such a stirring, inspiring, beautiful song. Dyw'r cerdd dantwraig Bethan Bryn ddim yn or-hoff o’r gair arbrofi. Yn hytrach, mae'n credu y dylid dangos bod mwy i gerdd dant na chystadlu, a bod angen gwthio'r grefft tu hwnt i'r llwyfan eisteddfodol. Ei chwaer Angharad a oedd i fod i gael gwersi telyn yn wreiddiol, ond buan iawn y dechreuodd Bethan ddysgu canu'r offeryn yn ei lle. Bu'n aelod o Gerddorfa Ieuenctid Cymru, ac yn yr ysgol daeth dan ddylanwad Aled Lloyd Davies, er iddi ei gythruddo gyda'i gosodiad cyntaf ar gyfer Rhianedd Môn. Cafodd le i astudio chwaraeon mewn coleg yn Lerpwl, a bu bron iddi ddilyn y trywydd hwnnw yn lle astudio cerddoriaeth. Cerddoriaeth aeth â hi yn y pen draw, gan arwain at flynyddoedd o berfformio, cyfeilio a hyfforddi; a nid pawb all ddweud i Delynores Maldwyn a Thelynores Eryri ddechrau cecru yng nghanol ei phriodas.
