On today's show I'm going deep into a planning rationale that was presented to an information session at Colorado Springs City Council earlier this week. Whenever you are presenting a concept to the city, you are asking for them to vote in favor of your project. In order to make an effective presentation you have to put yourself into the shoes of the person sitting in the council chamber who is tasked with listening to your proposal and then at some point in the process voting in favor or against your project. You can see the entire segment of the meeting in front of Council here --> https://youtu.be/3Lan3yvHcvQ ----------------- **Real Estate Espresso Podcast:** Spotify: [The Real Estate Espresso Podcast](https://open.spotify.com/show/3GvtwRmTq4r3es8cbw8jW0?si=c75ea506a6694ef1) iTunes: [The Real Estate Espresso Podcast](https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/the-real-estate-espresso-podcast/id1340482613) Website: [www.victorjm.com](http://www.victorjm.com) LinkedIn: [Victor Menasce](http://www.linkedin.com/in/vmenasce) YouTube: [The Real Estate Espresso Podcast](http://www.youtube.com/@victorjmenasce6734) Facebook: [www.facebook.com/realestateespresso](http://www.facebook.com/realestateespresso) Email: [podcast@victorjm.com](mailto:podcast@victorjm.com) **Y Street Capital:** Website: [www.ystreetcapital.com](http://www.ystreetcapital.com) Facebook: [www.facebook.com/YStreetCapital](https://www.facebook.com/YStreetCapital) Instagram: [@ystreetcapital](http://www.instagram.com/ystreetcapital)

How will Colorado Springs' updated zoning and subdivision ordinance make our community more sustainable and resilient? City of Colorado Springs Planning Supervisor Morgan Hester shares important details about RetoolCOS. The City of Colorado Springs City Council recently adopted the first comprehensive update of the City's zoning and subdivision ordinance in several decades. The 3-year process has been spearheaded by the Planning Department and is known as the RetoolCOS project, which will result in a Unified Development Code (UDC) to establish a new, modern, and more user-friendly approach to zoning and subdivision regulations as directed by PlanCOS, the 2019 Council-adopted comprehensive plan, to fit the needs of the City. The zoning and subdivision ordinance governs how property owners can use their land, including regulations such as building height, setbacks between properties and rights-of-ways, and what uses are permitted. The zoning and subdivision ordinance also describes the procedures for subdividing property or undertaking a development project. Why 70%? The post We’re all affected by decisions that Colorado Springs City Council makes. appeared first on Studio 809 Podcasts.
Update on Colorado Springs City Council vaccancy. Recent court decisions have saved the Healthcare systems in many places by not having to implement disciplinary action for unvaccinated workers. Mandates have backfired in a tangible way. Jeff discusses the true reason for Christmas.
Colorado Springs City Council plans on filling the vacancy of Richard Skorman with one of seven applicants. We should demand to know their positions on mask mandates, the Taxpayer Bill of Rights, the transportation "fee" scam, vaccine mandates and more. We don't know any of those things, yet council plans to quickly move forward. I talk with Laura Carno of Springs Taxpayers and ask you to apply grassroots pressure to get those answers before someone gets appointed.
