Besis.

Borusiade aka Miruna Boruzescu serves up an hour of mighty fine weird gloomy soundscapes, gurning jawbreakers and dreamy electronics. Here at the label we've been a fan of Borusiade's releases since the first EP on Comeme in 2016 and later on labels such as Correspondant, Minimal Wave and Pinkman. Enjoy this amazing RUBBER TIJD and stay flexible! X R @borusiade @comeme @correspondant @minimalwave
It's not all that often that someone comes along and catches attention with immediate effect. Katerina has found a home amidst the Comeme collective, the label and imprint run by Matias Aguayo. Having appeared previously with the odd track dotted here and there on compilations and split releases she is now ready to unveil a powerful 12" EP all of her own which punches with a sense of promise and intrigue. Living in Berlin but originating from Finland and Bulgaria she has amassed a sprawling collection of influences and this much is clear in both her production and dj sets. As a regular at Helsinki clubs Kaiku and Ääniwalli she is known for extended, lengthy sets and has the knowledge and experience to work an audience for hours at a time. We are delighted to welcome her to the Ransom Note mix series and we expect very big things are in store for Katerina.
Now here's a turn up for the books. We don't tend to do this terribly often but in certain circumstances we ask some of our favourite disc jockeys to return to the fold, to deliver the undeliverable and see if they can surpass themselves. Sano has appeared as part of our longstanding mix series previously but it felt apt and humble to invite him back once more. With releases on the likes of Comeme, Public Possession and having just appeared on the Bawrut remix EP for Ransom Note Records he is in more demand than ever before. Now based in Barcelona but originiating from Colombia we are delighted to have him here once more as he delivers an eclectic mix which blends elements of house, funk, soul, disco and percussion in a flamboyant show of force.

Originating from Colombia Sano was born with rhythm in his soul. Now based in Barcelona he has become a prevalent artist in his own right having found his way into the heart of the Comeme family and now most recently Public Possession. His sound sees him integrate elements of latin music within modern day electronics in an exciting fashion. As a result his presence has continued to grow, travelling regularly this year has seen him play widely across South America and Europe. The theme of his mix for us sees him explore his own heritage in great depth as he pays tribute to Latino producers across the globe. He explains in his interview below: "Genetics. Blood. Proud. Heritage. We, the Latinos, are one big family . The main intention of this mix is to showcase the work of this latin american producers: Nehuen, Sixtoagusto, The Chica, ViVi, Diegors, Rumanians, Vandel."
Residing in Lisbon, Violet is the moniker of Inês Coutinho. In recent years the city has undergone a cultural evolution if you will as musicians and new talent rise from the undergrowth of Portugal's capital. Radio Quantica is one such aspect of this evolution, a local music station which was founded by Inês Coutinho and Marco Rodrigues in November of last year. In a short space of time the radio station has formed itself as a hub for a blossoming electronic community full of promise and aspiration. Inês Coutinho has been absolutely essential in the formation of such a platform, however, this has not prevented her from pursuing her own musical ventures. In recent years she has released music for the likes of Comeme and Snuff Trax. Her interests also see her play an important role in the push for gender equality within music, a keenly political character she also featured on a remake of Underground Resistance's widely loved "Transition" in honour of International Women's Day. Violet is an artist we can get on board with,

The aim of this Dekmantel podcast series is to shine a light on exceptional DJs talents, and that is just what we are doing with this new one from Christian S. The German has been making people dance at parties in Cologne since the 90s and is a wild selector who tightly knits together house and techno with all sorts of carefully unearthed treats from South Africa, the world of psychedelic disco and plenty of modern grooves in between. As a producer he is at home on the trendsetting Comeme and has been championed on Boiler Room and Beats in Space before now. He is also the man various Comeme radio shows, so is no stranger to digging deep. The hour long mix Christian has put together is a blissed out and summery affair with loose analogue grooves, earthy drums and jangling melodies. It subtly shifts through the gears as it goes on, but never feels hurried and always retains a soulful and relaxing sense of wide open space. Littered with an organic African feel, it’s a perfect mix for sunset sessions as summer gets ever closer.
