Former South African Airways board chairperson Dudu Myeni and her co-accused are facing charges relating to the defunct Bosasa. Former SAA board chair, Dudu Myeni has been sentenced to five years by the Johannesburg Magistrate's court for defeating the administration of justice or pay a 120-thousand rand fine. Half of the fine has been suspended, provided she does not repeat the same offense within the next five years. Myeni pleaded guilty to defying an order by the Chairperson of the State Capture Commission, Raymond Zondo to not disclose the identity of a protected witness. Myeni mentioned the name of the witness, who was identified by Zondo as Mr. X, twice during her testimony in front of live television cameras last year. Trade union Solidarity is expected to lay charges of corruption, theft, fraud, and mismanagement of State funds against 19 alleged State capturers, including former president Jacob Zuma this morning. The union says it will lay the charges on Dudu Myeni and Brian Molefe, among others at the Brooklyn Police Station at 10am. The union says the charges come on the back of the reports and recommendations by the State capture commission, led by Justice Raymond Zondo, which revealed how State funds were misused for personal gains. Former Independent Consultant at Eskom, Nicholas Linnell revealed that he was appointed by former SAA board chairperson Dudu Myeni to head an inquiry into challenges facing Eskom which also included loadshedding. Linnell says on the 8th of March 2015 Myeni invited him to former President Jacob Zuma's official residence in Durban to discuss the details of the investigation into Eskom's affairs. The high court in Pretoria has heard that former board chairperson of the South African Airways , Dudu Myeni is dishonest, flouted governance procedures and should therefore be declared a delinquent director. That's the argument brought forward by the the Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (OUTA) which took Myeni to court. OUTA and SAA Pilots Association (SAAPA) approached the high court in a bid to declare her a delinquent director for life. SAA chairperson Dudu Myeni is still studying legal papers , this after The South African Airways Pilots' Association (SAAPA) announced that it will start legal proceedings to have SAA chairperson Dudu Myeni declared unfit to hold office. The Association says it will be collaborating with lobby group the Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (OUTA) in the legal action. An investigation unit raided the home following allegations of fraud. O'Sullivan has been accused of circulating a fraudulent bank statement he alleged belonged to Airports Company SA chief executive Dudu Myeni.
