Some cabin crew have a reputation, some are good reputations but some are not... There are a few of the "players" out there, straight male flight attendants who are spoiled for choice when it comes to layover lays! But if you're going to experience the life of the philandering flight attendant then you need to be honest, you need to be open and you need to be sexually healthy... Because a broken heart isn't the only health risk here...Music Credits for Mile High Clap Trap2 Hearts - Patrick PatrikiosMas Cafe - Casa RosaSound Effects by freesound_community from PixabaySound Effect by Björn Eichenauer from PixabaySound Effect by Jurij from Send us a text! One of the perks of flying is the free (well, you pay the tax) flights you get. And when you are a flight attendant or pilot, you can take someone with you on one of your layovers. So what if you've just started dating a guy, he's hot but he's a bit of a grump... would you risk taking him on a trip? What if he causes a scene and you lose your concessionary travel tickets as punishment?!On this weeks episode, we hear the true story of a grumpy companion, and the girl who finally has enough and pays it back!Music Credits for The Critical CompanionMr. Sunny Face - Wayne JonesDub Gun – TrackTribeShe No Dull Beat - Nana KwabenaSound Effects by freesound_community from PixabaySound Effect by Hasin Amanda from PixabaySound Effect by Send us a text! We love a good "passenger doing strange things" story at The Red Eye, it's amazing how many of them we get! But this one was a first for us...On a flight, when a passenger mixes medication with alcohol, the cabin crew often end up dealing with a person not in their right mind. During the flight, most flight attendants love to visit the flight deck. They get to see the world from a different perspective and chat to pilots. They get to see the pilots at work, reading maps, twiddling knobs and chatting to the ground. It's fascinating! Even if most of us don't understand what they are doing. But it's rare for the pilots to see the cabin crew in action when things go wrong, as they are usually in the flight deck dealing with the important task of landing the aircraft safely. When this pilot donated this story, we found it so interesting to see it from his perspective. A medical emergency is not something any of us want to experience.Music Credits for A Pilot's PerspectiveVenkatesananda - Jesse GallagherGray Day - Music by Clavier Clavier from PixabayFinal Soliloquy - Asher FuleroSound Effects by freesound_community from PixabaySound Design by Ally MurphySend us a text! A few uninterrupted days of sun, sea and rum punch by the pool! Some flight attendants would use the opportunity to relax, sunbathe, explore the island. In this episode, Clare is joined by Charme to discuss being settled when you move countries or move to a different region in your new home. Charme has recently moved from Brussels to Bruges, she explains why that meant she needed to learn a 3rd language and learn about a new culture. Charme likes to throw herself into new situations and has travelled to 60 countries. She explains what not being afraid to try something new has taught her and the skills she has developed as a result of this approach. KEY TAKEAWAYS Stay curious and excited with life and count your blessings. You need to be true to yourself but also be open to taking inspiration from your surroundings. Throwing yourself into new situations, builds your confidence and teaches you to trust your instincts. When you get frustrated take a step back and narrow down what you can do about the situation and look for the positive. Putting yourself in new situations teaches you to adapt and cope better when things don´t go your way in life. Everything starts within, if you are not in the right mindset, it does not matter where you are, you will not be happy. Give your time to the ones you love and help your community. BEST MOMENTS ‘I really like to knock on doors and see which ones open for me. ´ ‘We should also try to learn to travel within us.' ‘Time is the most expensive gift I can give to somebody and also the most expensive gift I can receive.' ABOUT THE HOST – CLARE KAY Clare has moved countries many times throughout her life, from China to Taiwan, Nigeria, Zambia, and the USA. She has also travelled the world for various businesses and now wishes to impart her advice to others to save them time, money, and energy. Clare follows three principles central to her endeavours. First, she looks outward internationally, working with people overseas or of different nationalities. Second, she is obsessed with communication, having learned French, German and Mandarin Chinese. She also teaches English and works as an editor for others' work. Clare is passionate about making a difference through her coaching in the world of personal development. CONTACT METHOD www.kayproofreading.com www.linkedin.com/in/clarekay https://www.facebook.com/KayProofreading Podcast Description When you move for a new job, to live with someone after a long-distance relationship or to explore the benefits of a new lifestyle, moving countries occurs as an opportunity, but it still might be a bumpy ride. Moving Countries 101 presents a paradox of moving to a new destination, but it being all about the journey: the ongoing experience of having moved countries. Clare and her guests share the human stories of an ancient undertaking in modern times. Moving countries prompts change, and change provokes being unsettled emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually. On all these fronts, moving countries promotes observation, opportunity, and discovery.
