Why do cheaters sometimes accuse you of cheating before you ever find out what they were doing? In this episode, I'm talking about the confusing and painful dynamic where the person who betrayed you puts you on trial first. Sometimes it's projection. Sometimes it's justification. Sometimes it's manipulation. But either way, their accusation does not mean you caused the betrayal or that you deserved to be treated that way. The Fathers speak about judgment with a severity that can seem almost excessive to us. They speak of grace withdrawing, of years of tears and repentance, of visions of Christ refusing worship to one who condemned his brother. We recoil at this language because we do not see condemnation as they saw it. We think of it as a minor fault of speech, a passing irritation, a reasonable assessment of another's behavior. The Fathers saw it as an assault upon love itself. A brother is eating early on a Friday. One sentence escapes the lips: “You are eating at such an hour, and on a Friday?” Nothing more. No insult. No anger. Merely an observation with an edge of disapproval. And the grace of God departs. Why? Because in that instant the monk ceased to stand beside his brother and placed himself above him. The movement happened with the speed of lightning. One moment he was in humility; the next he had assumed the place of judge. This is the terrifying thing. Pride does not always arrive with fanfare. It can appear in a sigh. An eye-roll. A sarcastic remark. A sentence that begins, “I just don't understand how someone could…” A comment on social media. A conversation after church. A single word: “Ugh.” The Elder says, “Ugh,” upon hearing of another's bad reputation. A single exclamation. Then Golgotha appears before him. Christ does not rebuke him for fornication, theft, or apostasy. He says something infinitely more frightening: “Before I could pass judgment, he himself has condemned his brother.” In other words: You rushed ahead of Me. You seized what belongs to Me alone. How quickly we do this. We hear of someone's failure, and before our hearts have even softened, we have formed an opinion. We hear of a priest's collapse, a marriage's breakdown, a young person's confusion, a friend's inconsistency, and instantly the mind produces a verdict. We scarcely pause to remember our own darkness. The holy man says, with tears, “He sinned today, but I will surely sin tomorrow.” This is not pessimism. It is truth. The one who knows himself knows that every sin lies hidden within his own heart like sparks in dry grass. Circumstances differ. Opportunities differ. Temptations differ. But the same human nature exists in all. The same weakness. The same instability. If God withdrew His hand for an instant, who among us could stand? The Fathers do not tell us to deny evil. They do not call sin virtue. They simply insist that whenever we see another fall, our first thought should be: There, but for the mercy of God, am I. And then something remarkable happens. The sinner ceases to be an object of analysis and becomes a brother who is wounded. The question is no longer, “How could he do that?” It becomes, “Lord, have mercy upon him—and upon me.” This is why the Elder says that if you see someone sinning with your own eyes, you should first cry out, “Anathema to you, Satan!” The enemy is not your brother. The enemy is the one who delights in dividing us from one another, who tempts one man into sin and another into condemnation. He wins both ways. One falls into the pit. The other stands above the pit congratulating himself. Both are wounded. The Fathers say that nothing harms Christians and monastics more than mutual condemnation. Nothing. Not persecution. Not poverty. Not weakness. But condemnation. Because condemnation makes love impossible. One cannot bear another's burdens while sitting upon the tribunal. One cannot weep for a brother while despising him. One cannot pray from the depths of the heart for someone whom one secretly regards as inferior. The judging heart is incapable of communion. And perhaps this is why the Fathers tremble so greatly before this passion. To condemn another is not merely to commit a fault of speech. It is to act contrary to the entire ethos of the Gospel. We ourselves live only by mercy. Every breath, every confession, every Eucharist, every hope of salvation rests entirely upon mercy. How strange, then, that beggars of mercy become so quickly its gatekeepers. How terrifying that those who stand daily in need of forgiveness can pronounce sentences against others with such speed. The Fathers ask something harder. When another sins, descend. Accuse yourself. Weep. Pray. Remember your own fragility. And if a harsh judgment escapes your lips—as it so often does—repent immediately. Do not excuse it as honesty, discernment, or concern for standards. Call it what it is: a moment in which pride outran love and sought to sit where only Christ may sit. Then return to your place. Not upon the judgment seat. But at the foot of Golgotha. En novembre 2025 à l'issue de 5 jours de procès, il est acquitté au bénéfice du doute. Le parquet a fait appel et Margaux attend le prochain procès. Comment vit-elle toute cette procédure ? L’addio di Pina Picierno dal Pd - Stragi del '93, archiviate le accuse nei confronti di Dell'Utri e Berlusconi

Dimanche 7 juin, les Arméniens sont appelés aux urnes pour des élections législatives. Un scrutin que Moscou tente de déstabiliser à travers de vastes campagnes de désinformation. Alors que l'Arménie a entamé un processus de rapprochement avec l'UE, et que Paris s'est sensiblement rapproché du régime du premier ministre arménien Nikol Pachinian, une énième fausse information cible particulièrement la France. Une vidéo censée révéler l'envoi de 800 soldats dans le pays pour sécuriser le scrutin. La vidéo d'une durée d'une minute trente reprend tous les codes d'un reportage de la BBC. Une voix off, avec accent britannique, commente un prétendu déploiement de soldats français. À l'écran, on retrouve l'habillage visuel des reportages de la chaîne d'information britannique. Bandeau rouge dans la partie basse ainsi que le fameux logo de la British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). Cette infox a été vue près d'un million de fois depuis sa création le 28 mai. Le reportage a été fabriqué de toutes pièces. La BBC n'a jamais produit, ni diffusé ce reportage. Il suffit d'aller sur le site officiel de la chaîne pour le vérifier. On ne retrouve aucune trace de ce prétendu déploiement dans la presse internationale. Images d'archives trompeuses Une analyse des séquences du reportage trahit l'utilisation d'images d'archives. Les soldats que l'on voit descendre d'un avion siglé République française participaient en fait à une mission de la force de réaction de l'OTAN en Roumanie en 2022. Un expert fait d'ailleurs remarquer que les tenues de camouflage que l'on voit à l'écran ne sont plus en vigueur dans l'armée de terre française et que les militaires qui empruntent la passerelle de l'avion ne sont pas des légionnaires (reconnaissables à leurs bérêts verts).  Même chose pour les deux Rafale que l'on voit dans le faux reportage de la BBC. Une observation attentive des marquages de l'avion : cocardes, drapeaux, et numéros de série, montre qu'il s'agit d'avions indiens, et non français. Rien à voir avec l'armée de l'air française qui n'arbore pas de drapeau rectangulaire sur la queue de ses avions Rafale. Ces images ont été sorties de leur contexte. Concernant enfin les images des manifestations en Arménie. Il s'agit d'images prétextes destinées à dramatiser l'infox. Une recherche documentaire permet d'établir que les dernières manifestations politiques d'ampleur en Arménie remontent principalement au printemps et à l'été 2024, après la restitution à l'Azerbaïdjan de quatre villages frontaliers dans le cadre du processus de délimitation de la frontière.  La coopération entre la France et l'Arménie ciblée À Paris, une source proche du dossier donne quelques précisions sur la coopération militaire entre la France et l'Armée tout en réfutant l'envoi de 800 militaires français : « Nous réalisons des missions de partenariat militaire opérationnel [...] Cela représente autour d'une vingtaine de militaires non permanents. En ce moment, il est surtout question d'artillerie. Les missions durent quelques semaines. Une petite dizaine de militaires déployés en permanence sont liés à l'ambassade pour la coordination des missions de partenariat opérationnel. » Infox d'origine russe Joint par RFI, un service de l'État en charge du suivi des ingérences informationnelles étrangères assure que le faux reportage de la BBC a suivi « le mode opératoire Storm-1516 déjà documenté par le passé. Cette opération est la 205e imputée à l'écosystème Storm-1516 depuis fin août 2023. » Dans son rapport sorti en 2025, l'agence Viginum souligne que « si l'objectif principal de Storm-1516 est de décrédibiliser l'Ukraine auprès des audiences occidentales, le mode opératoire a également été employé pour dénigrer des membres de l'opposition russe, ainsi que des personnalités et gouvernements occidentaux, notamment durant des périodes électorales ». Par ailleurs, selon le Service européen de l'action extérieure, cela fait plus d'un an que la Russie a lancé des attaques informationnelles en vue des élections en Arménie, en jouant sur les peurs de la population, et dénigrant l'action du Premier ministre pro-européen, Nikol Pachinian, afin de présenter la Russie comme le seul garant de la sécurité dans la région.   « Pour crédibiliser leurs narratifs, les opérateurs de Storm-1516 emploient des techniques de montage vidéo et photo visant à contrefaire des logos de médias », précise encore le rapport de Viginum. Dans le cas présent, la charte graphique de la BBC a été parfaitement reproduite. Enfin, Storm-1516 s'appuie sur des contenus impliquant très probablement des acteurs amateurs. Viginum estime que, « pour plus de la moitié des opérations imputées à ce mode opératoire, des individus ont été recrutés pour enregistrer la voix off [...] avec un soin particulier au choix de ces acteurs, en adaptant leur langue ou leur apparence aux narratifs ». Effectivement, l'accent anglais du faux journaliste de la BBC est particulièrement convaincant.

C dans l'air du 16 mai 2026 - Affaire Patrick BruelElle sort de l'ombre. Flavie Flament a dévoilé hier avoir déposé plainte contre Patrick Bruel. Elle l'accuse d'avoir commis un viol en 1991, alors qu'elle avait 16 ans. La célèbre animatrice faisait partie des femmes ayant témoigné dans Mediapart sous pseudonyme. Sur ce même média, elle s'exprime désormais à visage découvert : “Je parle pour la jeune fille que j'étais, je parle pour les autres femmes qui sont sorties du silence”.Le chanteur, déjà visé par des dizaines de témoignages de violences sexuelles, réfute toutes ces accusations. Alors qu'il doit prochainement débuter une tournée, 120 collectifs féministes français, suisses, belges, ou encore canadiens appellent dans une tribune ses programmateurs et les élus locaux à annuler ses concerts.L'actrice Adèle Haenel est une autre de ces femmes à être sortie du silence. C'était il y a six ans. Elle accusait le réalisateur de cinéma Christophe Ruggia de l'avoir agressée sexuellement lorsqu'elle était âgée de 12 à 14 ans. Le 17 avril, la cour d'appel de Paris a condamné ce dernier à 5 ans de prison, dont 2 ans ferme. Une peine qu'il devra purger sous bracelet électronique. À l'issue de cette condamnation, Adèle Haenel en appelait sur le plateau de C dans l'air à un profond changement de société pour que toutes les enfances soient “viables”.Un an et demi après le verdict du retentissant procès Pélicot, les professionnels de santé se disent davantage sensibilisés à la détection de la soumission chimique. The Justice Department has withheld and removed Epstein files containing allegations that Donald Trump sexually abused a 13-year-old girl, according to a bombshell NPR investigation confirmed by Congressman Robert Garcia. The missing documents include what appear to be more than 50 pages of FBI interview records, specifically three of four FBI 302 forms from a woman who was interviewed by federal agents four times in 2019. The one 302 form that has been released publicly references Jeffrey Epstein and mentions Donald Trump. The remaining three, believed to contain specific accusations of sexual abuse, have been hidden from public view despite the Epstein File Transparency Act mandating their release. NPR's investigation used unique serial numbers stamped on documents in the Epstein files database to confirm the missing pages. Congressman Robert Garcia, ranking Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, independently verified the bait stamp numbering and confirmed the 50-page gap. He stated the only explanation is that Pam Bondi and the DOJ are intentionally withholding the documents. The woman who made the allegations told the FBI she possessed a photo of Trump and Epstein together but feared retaliation. An internal FBI email sent in 2025 listed Trump's name at the top and noted she had stopped cooperating with investigators. The White House responded by claiming Trump has done more for Epstein victims than anyone, while deflecting to Democratic figures. The State of the Union is scheduled for tonight, and multiple Democratic members of Congress have invited Epstein survivors to sit in the House chamber during Trump's address.
