La banda alcanzó el estrellato en 1990 con su primer álbum Stick It to Ya , que generó varios sencillos de éxito como " Up All Night ", "Spend My Life", "Mad About You" y "Fly to the Angels". ". # 19), y los éxitos moderados "Up All Night" (EE.UU. # 27) y "Spend My Life "(Estados Unidos # 39). UU. Blando estuvo anteriormente en Left For Dead y Saigon Kick . El álbum de VH-1 "Power Ballads" incluyó "Fly To The Angels"; "Up All Night" se incluyó en Rhino Records"Golpeadores duros".
Sound Matters episode 099 features Tom's conversation with Michael Grant formerly of L.A. Guns and Endeverafter. Michael split from L.A. Guns in 2018 and never looked back. His first solo album (under Michael Grant & The Assassins) titled "Always the Villian" is simply incredible. This 11 song collection contains killer songs, melodies, arrangements, production, and playing top to bottom. Read that again... it's rare. On top of it all, Michael is a super cool cat and a ton of fun to talk to. In this livestream episode we discuss Michael's lifelong love of drumming (he drums on over half the tracks on this album, as well as handling all the bass, guitars, vocals, AND engineering duties), his perspective on leaving L.A. Guns, the impetus behind the title track, his writing and recording process, and his affinity for his influences, plus much more... one of my favorite conversations in the history of the show!**Livestream VIDEO of this conversation here and on my YouTube channel (www.tomleu.tv) >> www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYboerBlE9w&t=1459sSOUND MATTERS Facebook Group: www.facebook.com/groups/soundmattersConnect with Michael Grant:Website: www.mgassassins.comFacebook: www.facebook.com/michaelgrantassassinsTwitter: www.twitter.com/themichaelgrant (@themichaelgrant)Instagram: www.instagram.com/michaelgrant (@michaelgrant)Connect with TOM LEU:Websites: www.SoundMatters.tv | www.TomLeu.com | www.16Imaging.com Official Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/tomleu2Twitter: www.twitter.com/tomleu (@tomleu)Instagram: www.instagram.com/tomleu (@tomleu)YouTube: www.tomleu.tv "Sound Matters Radio" Episode 099 at www.SoundMatters.tv/sound-matters-radio-099/

Michael Grant hit us with his band Endeverafter back in 2007, he followed it up with a run in the band LA Guns, he got his feet back under him with his 2015 release "Anthemia I" and now he's back with what may be his best work yet, "Always The Villain!" The first track "Red Light Run" is blowing up the internet and rock radio and we caught up with him to celebrate! Check out our chat!
Rock Talk With Mitch Lafon presents Michael Grant from Michael Grant & The Assassins (recorded May 12th 2020). In this episode co-hosted by Alan Niven, Michael discusses his new album 'Always The Villain', his time with Endeverafter, deciding to go it alone rather than join an established band, the impact of Covid-19, his fan-loved tribute to Prince during his L.A. Guns days, the career advice he got from Poison's C.C. DeVille, the unreleased second Endeverafter album, his recent invitation to join RATT and much more. On recently being asked to join RATT: "They asked me to take the lead guitar spot... They're kind of courting me a bit for weeks and I kept telling them that I was in the middle of recording Michael Grant & The Assassins. I just had to turn it down because at some point you gotta bet on yourself. I gave a huge chunk of my time to L.A. Guns and in the end got nothing. That was a huge learning experience for me. Stop making other people sound good and just f***ing go for it." Subscribe to Rock Talk With Mitch Lafon for exclusive content and interviews. Just in time for the holiday's, I invite my lovely wife to come on the show and make this a family affair. We discuss her relationship with music and what she has seen and learned when it comes to Rock n Roll since meeting me. We play some great music while you drive over the hills and far away to Grandmas house. When my wife first met me she was the farthest thing from a music geek. She could take or leave music. Where it created the soundtrack to my life, it was but background music to hers. After she met me she began to attend concerts and listen to many of the bands that I would begin to educate her on. At the end of the day she just does not listen to and appreciate music like me, but maybe that's why opposites attract.
