Johnny "Bee" Badanjek got his professional start in music, at the ripe old age of 16 as the drummer for the Detroit rock and roll band Billy Lee and The Rivieras, later changing their name to Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels, where he was described as an "unknown genius" for his drum break on their single "Devil with a Blue Dress On". he co-founded The Rockets, in which he was the drummer and vocalist, as well as songwriter. He's toured Europe with Nils Lofgren as well as recording an album with him. Besides the already mentioned, He's worked in some compacity (Playing or writing) with The Romantics, Broken Toys, Dr. John, Ronnie Montrose, Edgar Wither, Bob Segar, Ted Nugent, the legendary Alice Cooper and others. He has also stayed extremely active in the local rock scene with bands such as The Stammering Flames, The Howling Diablos and The Murder Hornets to name a few. This brings us to want we're here to talk about tonight. Johnny is a self-taught artist whose work has graced album covers, art collection and gallery walls for years. Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce a true renaissance man, Mr. Johnny Bee Badanjek.

So many music fans want to be in the time capsule, jump back and be present when the music not only started, but to be a fly on the wall and absorb the scents, the colors, the sounds, the discussions, the drugs, the sex, debauchery, the arguments, heartbreaks and everything just to separate the myth from the history. Miss Barbara Bacon was the 17 year old on the scene, taking it all in and living to tell all about it. The Stooges, Ted Nugent, Mark Farner, Mc5, Bob Seger, The Who at the Holiday Inn Flint, Alice Cooper, Pete Andrews, Craig Frost, Twiggy, SRC, Michael Bruce...just a smear of the stories she has from backstage, homesteads, and hotels, to long trips, joint-sharing, bi-sexual reality, and the front row ticket to every event. Barbara has submitted Stooges and other artwork to the Michigan Rock Legends Hall of Fame and now has decided to do the ULTIMATE name drop and recall all her unreal stories. However, don't call her a groupie, she sat shotgun, witnessed and made wise decisions not to partake in the private world, while her older sister Carolyn and friends reaped fringe benefits. Barbara is a walking encyclopedia of Detroit, Pontiac, Ann Arbor and the world of rock and roll, via mid to late '60s and beyond. From Mitch Ryder to Mt. Holly--these are her stories. Part two of two here adds festival stories, Jackie Wilson, Jeep Holland and more. Barbara draws out stories from Dr. J and Sir Fred as well. Tune in for the big finale--now!

The far more censored version of the award-winning and unparalleled "A Mediocre Time with Tom and Dan." - "A Corporate Time" is a daily companion and terrestrial radio show heard nationally on iHeartRadio. It's silly.
We are happy to welcome our fellow Pantheon Podcast brother Jon Verno, host of Metal Mayhem ROC, to share his first EVER concert at the age of 13 - Ted Nugent live in Rochester, 1980. Hear Jon share what it was like as a brand new teenager to witness the sights, sounds and smells of his first ever live show and how it made an impression that has lasted to this day. Verno has seen hundreds, if not thousands, of shows over the years but you never forget your first. Nor do you forget the first time the lights come up and you see Ted Nugent in full force. You never forget the first time you inhaled the smell of pot wafting through the crowd. You always remember how cool the lights were, directing your attention to different parts of the stage. Dropped off by his older brother with a friend his age, he almost didn't make it to the show as a frisbee landed next to him which he immediately threw into the head of a biker. Also, Verno and his pal had no idea what an encore was so they were walking out when they heard the crowd cheering. Upon return they found Terrible Ted swinging like Tarzan around the stage, one of his signature 70s stage acts. As Verno was familiar with Ted's live album Great Gonzos, the setlist ripped into his favorites and left him desperate for more. These stories of innocence which turn to experience with the backdrop of a killer rock concert is exactly what we do on First Concert Memories, the monthly sidecast from your friends at The Ugly American Werewolf in London Rock Podcast. Welcome back partner, hope you're in for a real barn burner, 'cause this week John Clay welcomes our old friend, Rock legend Ted Nugent stops by in preparation for his sold-out show tonight in Walnut Springs! And, as usual, he and Johnny C. really hit it off, with a LOT to talk about, from their favorite Rock songs and artists to politics and world events, and the general state of Uncle Ted these days (he's as funny, furious, and phrenetic as ever)...we're also doing this week's show without the presence of our news hound JD Ryan--but luckily his little brother B.J. is with us to fill in on this week's slate of Sunshine State News; we also catch up with our old friends Johnny Cash, Keith Richards, and more--of course, the Colonel Mike Turley has plenty of the GOOD 'Hot Sports' takes for us, Bobbo has some controversial ideas about where Gigi's missing wig might turn up next (Lost Weaves of Baton Rouge perhaps?), and DJ PreKay is a young rapper still making some funky, phat grooves...so snap on your handy dandy headphones and join the Wolfe Pack for an ice-cold Natty Light and do your Saturday right! Glad you decided to stop on by. Cheers!

This week, we received our annual audit visit from corporate! That's right, The Chairman not only graced us with his presence, but he demanded we deliver to you this episode: “Grave Mistake: BÖC Shoulda Been Huge!!!”. One could argue that selling 24M albums would negate “Shoulda Been Huge” treatment. However, when most folks can only name 3 songs by this band, and one of them is due to an SNL skit, we think they fit the bill. This episode is rooted in our Should Have Been category; however, there is a strong case to be made that they've been largely forgotten as innovators and architects of what we know as heavy metal. We think they should be remembered as titans of hard rock and metal! Hope ya dig!Songs this week include:Blue Öyster Cult - “Transmaniacon MC” from Blue Öyster Cult(1972)Blue Öyster Cult - “The Red & The Black” from Tyranny And Mutation (1973)Blue Öyster Cult - “Flaming Telepaths” from Secret Treaties (1974)Blue Öyster Cult - “Tenderloin” from Agents Of Fortune (1976)Blue Öyster Cult - “R.U. Episode 2257 – From penguin tariffs to AI Hitler voiceovers, this episode is like a political acid trip narrated by your drunk uncle who still owns Styx on vinyl. The Kid and El Pres dive face-first into Trump's latest nonsense, Hitler comparisons courtesy of ChatGPT (yeah, we went there), and the kind of rants that would make SNL's Weekend Update blush. NPR's getting neutered, Apple's losing billions, and someone please get Kid Rock a musical comeback before he morphs into Ted Nugent. Oh, and don't worry—there's plenty of thickness talk, porn plotlines for Marjorie Taylor Greene, and a new financial philosophy called losing 50K in two days. Grab a Triple Bock and buckle up.

This week is the seventh volume of our deep dive into the trippy and groovy beginnings of the heavy stuff! Cut your lava lamp on, gaze at that blacklight poster through the haze of smoke, and join your favorite rock n' roll grave robbers as they dig deep into the core of 70s Acid Rock n' Proto Metal crypt to unearth some obscure bands that helped influence and mold what would become known as Heavy Metal. What is it that we do here at InObscuria? Well, we exhume obscure Rock n' Punk n' Metal in one of 3 categories: the Lost, the Forgotten, or the Should Have Beens. This particular episode is planted firmly in the: LOST category, as all of these recordings occurred between 1970 – 1976. As always, our hope is that we turn you on to something new in a genre and decade that you may have thought you already knew everything there was to know.Songs this week include:Agnes Strange - “Messin' Around” from Strange Flavour (1975)Socrates Drank The Conium - “Death Is Going To Die” from On The Wings (1973)Piraña - “Thinking Of You” from Pirana II (1972)Zior - “I Really Do” from Zior (1971)November - “Ganska Långt Från Sergel” from 2:a November (1971)The Power Of Zeus - “It Couldn't Be Me” from The Gospel According To Zeus (1970)Wicked Lester - “She” from Wicked Lester (1972)El Ritual documentary in Spanish on YouTube from 2022 https://youtu.be/K1xz6R9nH3k?si=Gd6I90SC19ZkOLWmPlease subscribe everywhere that you listen to podcasts!Visit us: https://inobscuria.com/https://www.facebook.com/InObscuriahttps://x.com/inobscuriahttps://www.instagram.com/inobscuria/Buy cool stuff with our logo on it!: https://www.redbubble.com/people/InObscuria?asc=uIf you'd like to check out Kevin's band THE SWEAR, take a listen on all streaming services or pick up a digital copy of their latest release here: https://theswear.bandcamp.com/If you want to hear Robert and Kevin's band from the late 90s – early 00s BIG JACK PNEUMATIC, check it out here: https://bigjackpnuematic.bandcamp.com/Check out Robert's amazing fire sculptures and metal workings here: http://flamewerx.com/

This week on Faith & Freedom, Shemane is joined by her husband, Ted Nugent, as co host for one of the most heartfelt episodes yet—featuring cultural firestarter Russell Brand and MasterChef winner Whitney Miller. From Russell's raw, redemptive testimony to Whitney's faith-fueled cookie mission, this episode is packed with truth, courage, and a little bit of sweetness. Whether you're curious about faith, fired up about freedom, or just craving a really good cookie—this one's for you. [00:50] Russell Brand on Addiction, Faith, and the Fight for FreedomActor, comedian, and author Russell Brand sits down with Shemane and Ted for an unfiltered, deeply personal conversation about his journey from fame and addiction to finding Christ. He shares how a health scare with his son completely changed his worldview—and led him straight to the Gospel. Russell opens up about how he went from mocking faith to building his life around it, and from questioning the Second Amendment to fiercely defending it. They talk cancel culture, hunting as a spiritual experience, and why building a strong Christian community matters now more than ever. It's thoughtful, honest, and full of wisdom. [37:08] Whitney Miller on Making Cookies Great AgainWhitney Miller, who won the very first season of MasterChef at just 22 years old, joins Shemane to talk about her journey from home baker to founder of Whitney's Cookies. She shares how her faith and love of baking led her to ditch artificial ingredients and dyes in favor of real, wholesome goodness. Whitney talks about what it was like facing Gordon Ramsay in the kitchen, starting a business during a global shutdown, and why she believes in baking with purpose. Her cookies are as intentional as they are delicious. Zach Myers and Ted Nugent join me for two completely different conversations this week on Talkin' Rock. Zach is up first, as he was in studio with me earlier this week promoting Shinedown's upcoming Dance, Kid, Dance tour this summer. With a couple of new songs out to wet the whistle of SD fans, he says the album is not close to being done. "We're working on it. We've done this differently than we've ever done a record, so there's really no… It will be out this year, I think. [Brent] says July/August. I don't know when it's gonna be out. I think it's gonna be out this year. We've never done it this way. We've never released songs before a record was done. Usually a record's done, artwork's done, everything's done, here's the singles. And we wanted to do it different this time. We are in a different world." We talked about picking songs for the set list and some questions from friends of his. That was fun! Ted Nugent rounds out the episode only the way Ted can! His new "Vault" is out now. Drummer Jason Hartless unearthed all sorts of Nugent gems, some of which Ted had forgotten about. We talk about the song "Stranglehold", the first song he released as a single of his solo career 50 years ago. He explained, in his own Ted way, why he dropped an 8-minute song as his first single. He said he'd been playing it for years, and the fans "got it". Of course, he expanded on it much more than that. I also asked him about being a "bandmate" in Damn Yankees, as opposed to being THE guy. He said, first and foremost he's a bandmate in any project he's played in. including the Yankees. Ted is always entertaining, and this is no different. Enjoy!

This week on Faith & Freedom, we're exposing the TRUTH they don't want you to know. From government overreach to financial manipulation and border chaos, it's all connected—and we're breaking it down. Ted Nugent joins Shemane to call out the lies about Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) and how food control is being weaponized against Americans. Economist James Patrick exposes a shocking financial loophole that lets banks gamble with your money. Terry Newsome reveals how sanctuary states are protecting violent Venezuelan gangs while leaving American citizens vulnerable. Plus, Tresha Rodriguez returns to share how switching to clean, patriot-owned beef is one of the most powerful moves you can make for your health and freedom. [00:47] CWD & The War on Self-Sufficiency Ted and Shemane sound the alarm on the government's push to destroy healthy deer under the excuse of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD). Ted exposes the real agenda behind it—eliminating self-sufficient hunters and making Americans dependent on government-controlled food. Together they share how Texas Parks & Wildlife and federal agencies are using faulty science to justify their actions. They also discuss hunting restrictions, bizarre bureaucratic policies, and why standing up for conservation is more critical than ever. [14:04] Banks Gambling With Your Money Economist and investigator James Patrick reveals a little-known financial loophole that allows banks to use stocks and bonds as collateral—meaning your hard-earned money is at risk. He explains how this practice was legalized in the 1990s, why it's fueling instability in the financial system, and how to protect yourself before the next crisis hits. From securing physical share certificates to investing in gold and land, James shares essential steps to safeguard your assets. [25:00] Border Chaos & Criminal Cover-Ups Terry Newsome exposes how sanctuary states are actively protecting violent Venezuelan gang members while turning their backs on law-abiding Americans. He explains the devastating impact of the gang Tren Largo, which is flooding communities with counterfeit money and illegal weapons. Terry also discusses the Alien Enemies Act and what law enforcement can do to override sanctuary policies and restore law and order. [36:00] Patriot-Owned Beef & Food Freedom Big grocery stores don't want you to know what's really in your meat. Tresha Rodriguez returns to talk about clean, grass-fed, never-ever labeled beef—meaning no hormones, antibiotics, pesticides, or mRNA vaccines. She shares why switching to patriot-owned beef is one of the most powerful steps you can take for your health and freedom. Plus, Shemane and Tresha explain why SwitchToAmericaWithShemane.com is the best way to take back control of what's on your plate. He engages in conversations with callers like Pete from Chicago, who shares his thoughts on rock legends like Ted Nugent and Led Zeppelin, leading to a deeper discussion on faith and music. Patrick offers insightful advice to Ethan from Maine, who is working through the complexities of a mixed marriage while wanting to return to his Catholic roots. Plus, enjoy the humorous take on explaining the Blessed Trinity. Pete - What about Ted Nugent as a replacement for Led Zeppelin? He has underlying religious messages. (01:15) Rebecca - God can read our minds, but Satan can't. Do we need to pray out loud to the saints? (13:30) Patrick recommends the new movie, “The Count of Monte Cristo” (20:58) Ethan - I am in mixed marriage with Protestant wife. Can I have a dispensation and have my marriage blessed? She doesn’t want to be Catholic. (25:29) Albert - How do I not be judgmental about others?
