Ted Nugent is never at a loss for words, and this episode of Talkin' Rock is no different. He's playing some shows in July, and you don't want to miss the 77-year-old flame-thrower. You can see him in Lexington, Michigan, on July 7th & 8th, then in Sterling Heights at Freedom Hills on the 10th, and in Paw Paw on the 11th. "How lucky am I?" Ted says to the fact that he's rocked people for seven decades. He brought up the Paw Paw, Michigan show last year. I was there, and the show was something special. "I am so excited...I get so outta control," he says while speaking to the fact that he's back in his home state of Michigan. "Has God blessed me with the greatest musicians in the world?" Yes, he's played with some of the best!"I'd like to think that my guitar tone has no identity, because I'm constantly playing with the amps," he said of his guitar. "It's fat, it's rich," he went on. Ted will turn 78 this year, and he's still full-tilt-boogie. "I'm having more fun, and more musical adventure....if the 15-year-old showed up, I'd kick his ass!""It's a jazz guitar, but I fixed it," Ted said of his famous Birdland guitar. He said that each Birdland has its own personality because of the way the spruce breathes. Ted expanded on that during our conversation. He's going to be inducted into the Michigan Outdoor Hall of Fame. That's on Hall he should've been in a long time ago. Yes, he should be in the other one too, but I guess we'll start here. He's also getting Conservationist of the Year in Springfield, Missouri, in August. We also talked about great places to visit in Michigan. Ted had a lot of say on that. He's like a one-man chamber of commerce. The U.P., Grayling to see the Fred Bear statue, Mackinaw Island (a place he said he's never been to), downtown Detroit to see Hitsville U.S.A., and other places. "Michigan is my beloved birth state," he said. He went on to talk about the quality of people in the Mitten. His dream from youth: "Spend as much time in the woods and the swamps and the rivers of Michigan and to rock my balls off. It's 78 years later, and that's exactly what I'm doing!" Nicely said. Go see Ted and watch how it's done!Up next it's the guy opening up most of these shows, Kurt Diemer. His new album A Grog Is Born dropped a month ago, featuring Josh Todd from Buckcherry and Geoff Tate, formerly of Queensryche. Yes, they covered the iconic "Silent Lucidity". That's a tall task. Kurt's also in the horror world. His latest movie, Scared To Death, is streaming now on Amazon. It's more of a horror comedy. He's dropping another one coming up in the fall called Hellbilly Hollow, which I really enjoyed. Kurt's got a lot going on and is a super good dude. Check him out after Ted on this episode, then before Ted at some upcoming shows. Seeing Them Live

In this episode of Seeing Them Live, Charles sits down with Ben Daughtry and Jonathan Palmer of Love Jones — the Louisville-born, LA-based band that has been crafting their unique blend of lounge, soul, pop, and sharp-witted storytelling for over three decades. The conversation kicks off with a shared love of live music, as both Ben and Jonathan trace their concert-going roots back to the same unlikely starting point: Van Halen. Ben recalls sneaking into a show at 14, way too young to be there, watching a then-unknown Van Halen open for Black Sabbath and feeling like "a bomb going off." Jonathan recounts his own Van Halen baptism at Freedom Hall in Louisville on the Women and Children First Invasion Tour — complete with $7.50 festival seating and his mother taking notes in the stands. From there, the episode becomes a wide-ranging tour through decades of live music obsession. The guys swap stories about Ted Nugent crowd surges, jumping on stage with GWAR in New Orleans, playing congas with Tool at an early Lollapalooza, and watching Rage Against the Machine move 60,000 people. Jonathan shares privileged industry moments — seeing The Rolling Stones at a 600-capacity room in New York alongside Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz, and Questlove, and catching Nine-Inch Nails at The Troubadour when they felt "too big for the building." The conversation is fueled by genuine enthusiasm, with each story triggering another in a kind of joyful avalanche of rock and roll memory. The second half of the episode turns to the band's own story — from their residency at Largo on Fairfax, where David Bowie once sat quietly in a booth and Tool's crew became regulars, to their unexpected appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut album Here's to the Losers. Charles and the guys dig into the Cocktail Nation moment of the '90s, the making of their new album The Greatest Show on Earth — written during COVID jam sessions in a Louisville warehouse with crickets chirping and trains passing — and the cinematic, Gil Evans-influenced sound that ties its six expansive tracks together. The episode closes with the band expressing hope to get back on the road, a shout-out to their partnership with Whiskey Thief Distillery, and a tease of possible activity around the 30th anniversary of the film Swingers, on whose soundtrack Love Jones famously appeared. BANDS: Adele, B-52s, Beastie Boys, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Black Sabbath, Chicago, Combustible Edison, Devo, Earth Wind & Fire, Fishbone, Foo Fighters, GWAR, James Brown, Led Zeppelin, Love Jones, Metallica, Metric, Molly Hatchet, Morphine, Nine Inch Nails, Oasis, Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rolling Stones, Sea and Cake, Steely Dan, Supertramp, Ted Nugent, The Cars, The Cocktails, Tool, Tortoise, Van Halen, ZZ Top. David Waldman has more crazy to tell us about. Greg Dworkin has discovered more polls to share. We shall reconvene forthwith. 4.5% of the Texas voting population has spoken, electing deplorable Ken Paxton over deplorable wannabee John Cornyn. That' sa lot of deplorables, enough for a Trump win, maybe enough fora Republican loss. At least that's the dream. Today, the good news is that James Talarico has shaken up the race and gave life to the Democratic cause across the state. Texas Gop money will pour into convincing their voters that they are capable of holding their noses tight enough to vote for Paxton. More importantly, with John Cornyn gone, so is the money and clout that he brought to the state as a ranking Senator. Seniority used to be the path to money and clout in government. Those days seem long gone. To commemorate their departure, Donald K. Trump hopes to pass some illegal tender to the geeks and carnies out in the back yard building a stage for the Milli, or Vanilli concert. Nicki Minaj, Kid Rock and Ted Nugent are too big for this gig… oops, Milli Vanilli ends up locating a threshold of embarrassment. Trump has no threshold. Trump threatens to attack Oman, intervened to score another $640 million for Junior, and $13.1 million for his pool boy. He wants to jail his rape victim, E. Jean Carroll.

Seriously… nobody could spell “diarrhea” without looking like they were fighting demons. If you've ever confidently spelled a word wrong in a work email and immediately wanted to move to another country, this episode of your favorite daily comedy show is for you.The crew dives into the insanity of the Scripps National Spelling Bee, where kids are out here spelling words nobody's ever heard while grown adults on this show can barely survive “separate” and “bougie.” Lern absolutely battles for her life trying to spell basic words while Rizzuto and the gang provide the emotional support of raccoons fighting over French fries. Honestly, if spelling counted as cardio, this episode would qualify as CrossFit.Then things shift into celebrity chaos with Crap on Celebrities featuring emotional David Lee Roth stories, Ted Nugent tour updates, Nicolas Cage lying in Elvis Presley's bed, and the heartbreaking realization that Heath Ledger is still gone and we're all still upset about it. Plus: Russell Crowe yelling at autograph hunters, Jerry Seinfeld allegedly crushing a child's spirit, and James Corden once again proving that every rude celebrity rumor about him somehow feels believable. Also in today's mess:Beartooth singer Caleb Shomo publicly comes out and opens up emotionally about his journeyReba McEntire continues being America's favorite redheaded auntRob Base gets remembered properly because “It Takes Two” still slaps at weddingsThe gang debates celebrity jerks and who's secretly awful in real lifeRizz delivers a Dracula impression so powerful it may legally count as theaterThis daily comedy show is packed with celebrity news, hilarious fails, pop culture commentary, weird news, music stories, and the kind of sarcastic group therapy only The Rizzuto Show can provide. Live from across the ocean and right in the heart of Washington D.C., this episode bridges small-town farm traditions with high-stakes national anxieties. The morning kicks off with U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer calling in from the nation's capital to chat about the economic and military chess match at the U.S.–China summit, the true scale of the AI arms race, and local battles over debt and taxes in Fargo. Then, Hayden and Titus from the NDSU Turning Point USA chapter take the mic to tackle the terrifying realities of an emergent AI surveillance state, drawing eerie parallels to Orwell's 1984. We keep "Feel Good Friday" alive with Jett Yoder from Father's Farm, sharing powerful redemption stories of turning lives around through faith and farm work. To wrap it all up, the crew swaps legendary rock stories from North Dakota's past, talks about the future of consumption taxes, and breaks down the upcoming state primary. Standout Moments & Timestamps [12:56] Top-Tier Gravitas in Beijing: Senator Kevin Cramer breaks down the geopolitical weight of Donald Trump bringing "half the GDP of the United States" to China, highlighting the massive GE jet engine sales and trade strategies designed to put Iran on notice. [13:50] Threading the Needle on Taiwan: A deep look into the military realities facing Congress. Cramer addresses the delicate, nuanced defensive policy required to back the freedom-loving people of Taiwan while navigating concessions asked for by Xi Jinping. [14:75] Big Brother's New AI Brain: The NDSU TPUSA crew hits Senator Cramer with the tough questions, expressing deep concerns over mass data tracking and asking what national protections stop a future rogue administration from turning public AI traffic cameras into weapons against political dissidents. [15:41] Gathers, Nets, and FBI Abuses: Senator Cramer details the ongoing congressional battles over renewing Section 702 of FISA, admitting that the FBI has illegally abused its authority in the past to spy on capital reporters, the administration, and members of Congress. [16:18] Fargo's $1.3 Billion Debt Bomb: The hosts unpack the staggering financial reality of a local city deeply in debt, taking aim at progressive institutions that go "looking for problems to fix" just to continuously re-up property and sales taxes. [17:23] Dave Ramsey in the Classroom: The crew advocates for mandatory personal finance classes in high school, declaring that every government institution needs a Dave Ramsey advisor because "every dollar has a name." Pepper and Woody from C.O.C. came on to discuss their latest albums, Good God/Baad Man. It's an all-out guitar assault, and I recommend it! I had to ask them about the Live Volume album, which was recorded on April 20th, 2001, at the local concert theater, Harpos. We discuss the recording of the album. The initial process for the record began about 3 years ago. The boys were jamming guitars, drinking beers, and were off and running. Peper said they wanted to "cause a stink". LOL The guys said it was a fun record to make. Woody referred to it as easier than other albums. "We didn't have to answer to anyone", Pepper said. We also talked about the tour they did with Metallica in 1997. When they played here at the Palace of Auburn Hills. At one of those shows, James Hetfield joined them on stage. Ted Nugent also joined Metallica on stage, as the guys recalled that too. As I record this podcast, the band is playing The Machine Shop on Tuesday, May 12th. They have a lot of shows coming up in support of the new album, including tons of U.K. gigs throughout the month of June. With that you're listening to Right On Radio Live — Jeff opens this Good Friday episode reflecting on why he watches purposeful TV (including Prime's House of David), shares a personal devotional mood, and previews changes to the live show schedule. He introduces the packed episode and offers a candid, faith-centered frame for the conversation. Jeff plays everybody's favorite segment, Word on Word, comparing two scripture passages (Isaiah 53:5 and Hebrews 12:2), and explains why the segment is ending with the end of the live shows. He also shares an intimate Good Friday reflection on communion, the Last Supper, and how he practices daily remembrance of the new covenant. The show switches to news and analysis: Jeff reads and responds to Truth Social posts by Donald Trump about strikes in Iran and the recent destruction of a major bridge, links the coverage to Tucker Carlson's commentary, and explores the idea that the current conflict may be a banking/financial war. He offers context, expresses concern for civilian suffering, and questions mainstream and alternative media narratives while speculating on strategic motives. Featured clips and guests include a short recounting of a private 2023 conversation between Donald Trump, Shemaine, and Ted Nugent, a powerful minute from Charlie Kirk on the gospel and grace, and comments about Keir Starmer and Britain's exposure to the economic fallout. Jeff threads these clips into broader themes of awakening, sovereignty, and political confusion. The episode also includes practical, human-interest segments: a testimony from an Iranian store owner about family in the streets of Iran, a simple health tip about nasal breathing and how it affects brain and wellbeing, and a concise primer on how modern banking and promissory notes work — explaining why money, credit, and loans are central to the geopolitical tensions Jeff discusses. Jeff closes with spiritual and psychological takeaways — five brutal truths about human psychology, reminders to know your identity as a child of God, and a short clip titled "Jesus Never Said" that contrasts world messages with biblical teaching. He invites listeners to a Saturday prayer on Telegram (8 PM), announces Sunday's continuation of 2 Corinthians chapter 8, and encourages listeners to love God, family, and neighbor while staying alert and engaged. Are we losing our sense of purpose, or being pushed to rediscover it? From identity and legacy to cultural questions and spiritual resilience, this episode of Faith & Freedom brings together conversations about purpose, clarity, and what it takes to stay grounded when things feel uncertain. Host Shemane Nugent sits down with Ted Nugent and Rocco Nugent to talk about the meaning behind the "Gonzo Life" and what it looks like to live with discipline, conviction, and purpose. Through stories and reflection, they explore what it means to build something that lasts. Later, Barbara Aleks joins the conversation to discuss confidence, identity, and personal style, and why understanding yourself matters more than following trends. The conversation continues as Rocco returns to explore questions around UFOs and growing curiosity about the unknown, while staying grounded in faith and discernment. The episode closes with a message from Pastor Anthony Thomas on exchanging weakness for God's strength, reminding us that true strength is found in Christ, not circumstances. Because in a world that feels uncertain, purpose is not gone. It is something you choose to walk in. Leave your thoughts in the comments: Are people searching more for purpose right now, or drifting further away from it?
