EZ off till Monday, 6/30. Enjoy two encore shows from the "Who Are These Zanes?"Notes from ep 37: Puke Voice EZ interviews Ted NugentThe show starts with Ben reviewing EZ's 12/28/93 interview with Ted Nugent.  For the first time, ever, Ted is out-douched by someone.  EZ blurts and chirps numerous guttural giggles that sound horribly un-natural as Ted rambles on about nothing.  EZ's over-the-top, puke-yelling, random "go nowhere" questions, compound this insipid, testosterone fueled, pile-of-shit to a new level of radio horror.  How EZ continued to work at any radio station with this type of shit performance for all to hear, is proof he made a deal with Lucifer himself.Next, EZ jumped 4.5 years into the future for a Spring 1998 "Joe and the Poorboy" episode.  Here, EZ was quick to insult local people in the news who lost their lives tragically.  Ep 037 of WATZ? will surely go down as one of the most cringeworthy!Notes from ep 38: Joe and the Poorboy review the Hooter's Bikini contestBen and EZ go back to early December, 1997.  Joe and the Poorboy are rockin' the tunes and throwing in snippets of painful jibber-jabber.  First, Joe and the Poorboy harass some poor Pakistani dude during the old bit, "Embassy Football Picks."Later, the boys make sure to warn everyone about icy roads, and for fat people to be extra careful, for some reason. Then, the cringe factor during the attack on fat people is surpassed with Joe and EZ's gross talk about some bikini contest at Hooter's.Finally, EZ badly insults Joe's sweet wife, for an unknown reason. All in a days work for "The Joe and the Poorboy Show!"Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/the-eric-zane-show-podcast/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Pat explains how Nugent and Dear Leader Trump are very much alike, and not in flattering ways. Pat then talks about how nearly half of Detroit's apartment complexes are without air conditioning, and Michigan's high unemployment rate. He concludes by underlining the big time victory of Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani in the NYC mayoral race, and how it's yet another example of how progressive economic populism is not only popular, but it WINS elections! 20:29-42:23: Derrell Slaughter of NRDC-Michigan Interview Derrell Slaughter is the Michigan Policy Director for Climate & Energy at the Natural Resources Defense Council. Slaughter co-wrote a blog post on the NRDC site called, "Trump Administration's DOE Is Forcing Coal Plants To Remain Open. Michigan Is The First Target." Pat and Derrell discuss how Trump's Energy Dept. is forcing an old Consumer's Energy plant in Ottawa County to remain open even though the plant was scheduled to shut-down last month. Slaughter explains why this unprecedented move will cost Michiganders both economically and environmentally. 42:24-48:04: Last Call on Unhinged Democrats The "Last Call" this week spotlights those Democrats who view progressive Democrats, like Zohran Mamdani, as more of an enemy than they view MAGA Republicans as the real opposition to the working class, to liberty, and to democracy.  48:05-50:30: Ending Please, subscribe to the podcast, download each episode, and give it a good review if you can! leftoflansing@gmail.com Left of Lansing is now on YouTube as well! leftoflansing.com NOTES: "Trump Administration's DOE Is Forcing Coal Plants to Stay Open. He reveals that Red Rain is just the beginning, with four full-length albums currently in development — each offering something unique for longtime fans and new listeners alike.Mandy shares that the upcoming albums are the result of years of writing, personal experience, and artistic growth. Each record explores different themes and musical directions, allowing him to push creative boundaries while staying true to his heavy metal roots. The songs are personal, raw, and reflective of a world that continues to evolve.A key part of the conversation is Mandy's reflection on his time working with guitarist Jake E. Lee. Mandy also addresses how, despite the potential, things didn't pan out as hoped.Mandy opens up about Ted Nugent. He specifically calls out a video Nugent released that features trophy hunting wild hogs from a helicopter. Mandy doesn't mince words, expressing strong opposition to the act and how it inspired him to respond by creating a video that shows his false statements online.Wrapping up the conversation, Mandy looks back on his journey — the highs, the lows, the battles with the music industry, and his refusal to chase trends. So many music fans want to be in the time capsule, jump back and be present when the music not only started, but to be a fly on the wall and absorb the scents, the colors, the sounds, the discussions, the drugs, the sex, debauchery, the arguments, heartbreaks and everything just to separate the myth from the history. Miss Barbara Bacon was the 17 year old on the scene, taking it all in and living to tell all about it.    The Stooges, Ted Nugent, Mark Farner, Mc5, Bob Seger, The Who at the Holiday Inn Flint, Alice Cooper, Pete Andrews, Craig Frost, Twiggy, SRC, Michael Bruce...just a smear of the stories she has from backstage, homesteads, and hotels, to long trips, joint-sharing, bi-sexual reality, and the front row ticket to every event. Barbara has submitted Stooges and other artwork to the Michigan Rock Legends Hall of Fame and now has decided to do the ULTIMATE name drop and recall all her unreal stories. However, don't call her a groupie, she sat shotgun, witnessed and made wise decisions not to partake in the private world, while her older sister Carolyn and friends reaped fringe benefits. Barbara is a walking encyclopedia of Detroit, Pontiac, Ann Arbor and the world of rock and roll, via mid to late '60s and beyond. From Mitch Ryder to Mt. Holly--these are her stories. Part two of two here adds festival stories, Jackie Wilson, Jeep Holland and more. Barbara draws out stories from Dr. J and Sir Fred as well. Tune in for the big finale--now!

He mentioned his prolific YouTube channel, "The Contrarians," and his audio-only podcast, "History and Five Songs with Martin Popoff," which has 308 episodes. Popoff also highlighted his involvement in other podcasts, including an AC/DC podcast with John Gaffney and appearances on Brian Slogale's "100 Most Important Songs" series. So many music fans want to be in the time capsule, jump back and be present when the music not only started, but to be a fly on the wall and absorb the scents, the colors, the sounds, the discussions, the drugs, the sex, debochery, the arguments, heartbreaks and everything just to separate the myth from the history. However, don't call her a groupie, she sat shotgun, witnessed and made wise decisions not to partake in the private world, while her older sister and friends reaped fringe benefits. Barbara is a walking encyclopedia of Detroit, Pontiac, Ann Arbor and the world of rock and roll, via mid to late '60s and beyond. From Mitch Ryder to Mt. Holly--these are her stories. Part one of two, coming in HOT.....now!

We are happy to welcome our fellow Pantheon Podcast brother Jon Verno, host of Metal Mayhem ROC, to share his first EVER concert at the age of 13 - Ted Nugent live in Rochester, 1980. Hear Jon share what it was like as a brand new teenager to witness the sights, sounds and smells of his first ever live show and how it made an impression that has lasted to this day. Verno has seen hundreds, if not thousands, of shows over the years but you never forget your first. Nor do you forget the first time the lights come up and you see Ted Nugent in full force. You never forget the first time you inhaled the smell of pot wafting through the crowd. You always remember how cool the lights were, directing your attention to different parts of the stage. Dropped off by his older brother with a friend his age, he almost didn't make it to the show as a frisbee landed next to him which he immediately threw into the head of a biker. Also, Verno and his pal had no idea what an encore was so they were walking out when they heard the crowd cheering. Upon return they found Terrible Ted swinging like Tarzan around the stage, one of his signature 70s stage acts. As Verno was familiar with Ted's live album Great Gonzos, the setlist ripped into his favorites and left him desperate for more. Welcome back partner, hope you're in for a real barn burner, 'cause this week John Clay welcomes our old friend, Rock legend Ted Nugent stops by in preparation for his sold-out show tonight in Walnut Springs! And, as usual, he and Johnny C. really hit it off, with a LOT to talk about, from their favorite Rock songs and artists to politics and world events, and the general state of Uncle Ted these days (he's as funny, furious, and phrenetic as ever)...we're also doing this week's show without the presence of our news hound JD Ryan--but luckily his little brother B.J. is with us to fill in on this week's slate of Sunshine State News; we also catch up with our old friends Johnny Cash, Keith Richards, and more--of course, the Colonel Mike Turley has plenty of the GOOD 'Hot Sports' takes for us, Bobbo has some controversial ideas about where Gigi's missing wig might turn up next (Lost Weaves of Baton Rouge perhaps?), and DJ PreKay is a young rapper still making some funky, phat grooves...so snap on your handy dandy headphones and join the Wolfe Pack for an ice-cold Natty Light and do your Saturday right! Glad you decided to stop on by. Cheers!

This week, we received our annual audit visit from corporate! That's right, The Chairman not only graced us with his presence, but he demanded we deliver to you this episode: “Grave Mistake: BÖC Shoulda Been Huge!!!”. One could argue that selling 24M albums would negate “Shoulda Been Huge” treatment. However, when most folks can only name 3 songs by this band, and one of them is due to an SNL skit, we think they fit the bill. This episode is rooted in our Should Have Been category; however, there is a strong case to be made that they've been largely forgotten as innovators and architects of what we know as heavy metal. We think they should be remembered as titans of hard rock and metal! This week on Faith & Freedom, Shemane is joined by her husband, Ted Nugent, as co host for one of the most heartfelt episodes yet—featuring cultural firestarter Russell Brand and MasterChef winner Whitney Miller. From Russell's raw, redemptive testimony to Whitney's faith-fueled cookie mission, this episode is packed with truth, courage, and a little bit of sweetness. Whether you're curious about faith, fired up about freedom, or just craving a really good cookie—this one's for you. [00:50] Russell Brand on Addiction, Faith, and the Fight for FreedomActor, comedian, and author Russell Brand sits down with Shemane and Ted for an unfiltered, deeply personal conversation about his journey from fame and addiction to finding Christ. He shares how a health scare with his son completely changed his worldview—and led him straight to the Gospel. Russell opens up about how he went from mocking faith to building his life around it, and from questioning the Second Amendment to fiercely defending it. Zach Myers and Ted Nugent join me for two completely different conversations this week on Talkin' Rock. Zach is up first, as he was in studio with me earlier this week promoting Shinedown's upcoming Dance, Kid, Dance tour this summer. With a couple of new songs out to wet the whistle of SD fans, he says the album is not close to being done. "We're working on it. We've done this differently than we've ever done a record, so there's really no… It will be out this year, I think. [Brent] says July/August. I don't know when it's gonna be out. I think it's gonna be out this year. We've never done it this way. We've never released songs before a record was done. Usually a record's done, artwork's done, everything's done, here's the singles. And we wanted to do it different this time. We are in a different world." We talked about picking songs for the set list and some questions from friends of his. That was fun! Ted Nugent rounds out the episode only the way Ted can! His new "Vault" is out now. Drummer Jason Hartless unearthed all sorts of Nugent gems, some of which Ted had forgotten about. We talk about the song "Stranglehold", the first song he released as a single of his solo career 50 years ago. He explained, in his own Ted way, why he dropped an 8-minute song as his first single. He said he'd been playing it for years, and the fans "got it". Of course, he expanded on it much more than that. I also asked him about being a "bandmate" in Damn Yankees, as opposed to being THE guy. He said, first and foremost he's a bandmate in any project he's played in. including the Yankees. Ted is always entertaining, and this is no different. Enjoy!
