This week Tom & Zeus continue their discussion from SIOL sidecast Dorm Damage, and talk about the 5 disc CD player and which 5 KISS albums they played in the dorms in the 1990's. The 5 disc CD player was a must in the 1990's. While at Stonehill College, Tom & Zeus would each put a lineup of 5 various KISS albums in the respective rooms. The KISS albums available to choose from were the KISS debut album up until KISS Revenge & KISS Alive III. The guys each name their five KISS albums and discuss reasoning and strategy as why those were picked. They also discuss whether their selections would vary if they had to pick today. A fun and interesting KISS music discussion. Another positive episode? Is this SIOL? This week Tom & Zeus  breakdown and discuss KISS' legendary performance at Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco, California on January 31, 1975.  KISS was touring on their Hotter Than Hell tour when they stopped by Winterland to perform.  This legendary concert was actually filmed and the concert music and video has become legendary.  The promoter Billy Graham Presents filmed the concert in black and white.  The band was still raw and the energy was off the charts.  Tom & Zeus first saw Winterland footage from KISS Xtreme Close-Up VHS when they were in college.  It  was KISS performing Watchin' You and the boys were blown away.  Later Kissology Volume 1 was released in 2006 and it featured the whole concert.  Come and listen to guys dissect every part of this legendary performance and see why this concert is one of the best moments in KISStory! For all things Shout It Out Loudcast check out our amazing website by clicking below: www.ShoutItOutLoudcast.com Interested in more Shout It Out Loudcast content?  Care to help us out?  Come join us on Patreon by clicking below: SIOL Patreon Shop At Our Amazon Store by clicking below: Shout It Out Loudcast Amazon Store Please go to Klick Tee Shop for all your Shout It Out Loudcast Merchandise by clicking below:SIOL Merchandise at Klick Tee Shop Please Email us comments or suggestions by clicking below:ShoutItOutLoudcast@Gmail.com Please subscribe to us and give us a 5 Star (Child) review on the following places below:iTunesPodchaserStitcheriHeart RadioSpotify  Please follow us and like our social media pages clicking below:TwitterFacebook PageFacebook Group Page Shout It Out LoudcastersInstagramYouTube Please check out our sponsor AB CPA, Inc. for all your accounting and tax needs by clicking below:AB CPA, Inc. Proud Member of the Pantheon Podcast click below to see the website:Pantheon Podcast Network

On the 34 Episode of the Album Review Crew of Shout It Out Loudcast, Tom, Zeus & Sonny review the highly acclaimed eighth studio album by R.E.M., "Automatic For The People." The album went to Number 2 on the Billboard charts, went 4 X platinum and sold over 18 Million copies worldwide. R.E.M. known for college music had just exploded with their last album "Out Of Time" with the help of the single, "Losing My Religion." They decided to make this new album to sound like nothing else contemporary and filled with non-R.E.M.-type songs. The result was this masterpiece filled with songs about, loss, death, mortality, transition and more. The album was a group effort with guitarist Peter Buck, bassist Mike Mills and drummer Bill Berry using all sorts of instruments and sounds to make the music while songwriter and vocalist extraordinaire, Michael Stipe provided the moving vocals and lyrics to this essential album of the 1990's. Considered by many as perhaps R.E.M.'s best album, the album contains many of R.E.M.'s best songs, like Everybody Hurts, Man On The Moon, Nightswimming and Find The River and more. The album featured six singles and videos, which were played on MTV on heavy rotation. As usual the boys breakdown and dissect the tracks and rank the songs. They then rank the album and the album cover against the previous 32 albums reviewed on the Album Review Crew. This was Zeus' pick and this album led to the rankings changing a lot by all three ARC members. We are talking 90's Alternative Music so if you believe...  For all things Shout It Out Loudcast check out our amazing website by clicking below: www.ShoutItOutLoudcast.com Interested in more Shout It Out Loudcast content?  Care to help us out?  Come join us on Patreon by clicking below: SIOL Patreon Shop At Our Amazon Store by clicking below: Shout It Out Loudcast Amazon Store Please go to Klick Tee Shop for all your Shout It Out Loudcast Merchandise by clicking below:SIOL Merchandise at Klick Tee Shop Please Email us comments or suggestions by clicking below:ShoutItOutLoudcast@Gmail.com Please subscribe to us and give us a 5 Star (Child) review on the following places below:iTunesPodchaserStitcheriHeart RadioSpotify  Please follow us and like our social media pages clicking below:TwitterFacebook PageFacebook Group Page Shout It Out LoudcastersInstagramYouTube Proud Member of the Pantheon Podcast click below to see the website:Pantheon Podcast Network

Keith Grasso, owner of Island Music Company in La Plata, MD, is back to talk about the return of Rocktoberfest LP! Back in 2013, Keith was frustrated by the local school boards repeated cuts to the county's music program, so he decided to raise money by holding a concert at a bar near his store. Overwhelmed by the response, the event grew year over year and now takes over main street La Plata for an all day event. The 2019 iteration of the show raised over $46,000 for the Charles County Music & Arts Program and this year is going to be the biggest one yet! This year's event, headlined by the 80s Glam Metal band Kix, will be held in downtown La Plata on Saturday, October 1st. Australian glam metal doesn't come bigger or better than Sydney outfit Crosson.By incorporating a more theatrical element to their performances, Crosson have managed to make their live show, and therefore their reputation, more than just a piece of music. They have created a visual display to accompany the music, in the process opening a plethora of possibilities and allowing them the musical scope to grow with each release.Today, the band unleash their sixth studio album, the appropriately titled Ready…Aim…Rock!! on the world, taking us back to a time when music was dirty and the fans even dirtier.Frontman Jason Crosson caught up with HEAVY recently to talk about the album, starting with how he is feeling on release day."Good," he smiled. "Relieved more than anything. It's been two years of my creative life thrown into it. When you're producing, and you're writing it all, and you're there every second of the way and ticking off artwork and making sure it's all how you want it so, yeah, time to work on the next one now."With glam metal fast-growing to incorporate even more genres of music, we ask Jason to explain what he was going for musically with the album."We didn't wanna repeat ourselves," he measured. "The last album Rock & Roll Love Affair was catchy; it was pumpy; but we still have to keep our … anthems I guess, but we wanted them to mature musically so I delved into my passion for Jim Steinman - as you guys know he wrote for Meatloaf and Bonnie Tyler - so it has matured in that way as a songwriter. You just have to grow. So this album is definitely our most mature and advanced album to date."In the full interview, Jason talks more about the songs on Ready…Aim…Rock!!, how it is more mature, the singles released and how they relate to the album, the addition of Marko Rado on guitar, Crosson's brand of theatrical glam rock, upcoming shows and more.

After starting his career under the more straight forward name of Jack G McDonald, the Albury based musician earlier this year changed it to Twisted Horizon, adding a sense of wonderment to the name and also mixing it up a little more musically.Keeping the guitar driven structure from previous work, McDonald also experiments with glam metal, punk, blues and classic rock over the course of Road To Revival, giving the body of work a uniquely historical element while still keeing things fresh and modern.Following the release of his debut album late last month, McDonald earlier this week sat down with HEAVY to discuss the release and new venture."Road To Revival is a bit of, I guess you could say it's a musical journal of my last few years. The way that I often describe it is the good, the bad, and the ugly because over the last few years obviously we've been living in a pretty crazy time with everything that has gone on the last few years. Whether it be the pandemic, whether it be what's going on over in the Ukraine and all the rest of it. Lyrically, it's my point of view of everything going on. Lyrically it's myself finding myself and just a few other things that I've encountered over the years. Musically... I don't like putting things in specific genres because I feel genre scares a lot of people off from listening to certain thingsIt's a mixed celebration of all kinds of rock music that we've experienced with some songs almost going into that metalcore realm and some songs even right back to the 70s when we had ZZ Top pumping away on the guitars. I basically just wanted it to be a rock album of my idea of rock music and everything that's influenced me."In the full interview, Jack talks more about the songs on Road To Revival, capturing the essence of a wide range of music, the guitar driven nature of the album, the single March Of The Dogs and why it was chosen, the name change from Jack G McDonald to Twisted Horizon, heading out on the road and more.

Hell Bent For Metal digs into why 'Death To All But Metal' by hair metal parody troupe Steel Panther really isn't a helpful set of lyrics to the LGBTQ+ community within metal, whatever the intention behind it is.This week's Camp Classic comes from Asira, a criminally under appreciated British black metal band with no respect for genre boundaries. 'This Hollow Affliction' somehow contrives to lead both hosts to the same conclusion through totally different routes.Plus there are three albums for the Hate Crew Gaybar jukebox this week, with Metempiric by Knoll, Vol I: A Frith Befouled by Aeir, and Gnosis by Russian Circles.

The REELZ station has series called, Story Of Their Songs, which explores songs of a band that help define them. For KISS, they examine three songs that helped KISS establish themselves as one of the greatest rock bands ever. For KISS, the series selects 3 KISS songs and then they have special guests breakdown the tracks in between videos, interviews with the band and a narrator who gives a general information about the band's history. This episode has many familiar faces such as Eddie Trunk, Dee Snider, Martin Popoff and more. However, it also includes Steve Vai, Joe Bonamassa, Ken Sharp, Marty Friedman, Anton Fig, Producer Michael James Jackson, Riki Rachtman, Engineer Jay Messina, Art Director Dennis Woloch and more. The boys discuss the one hour episode and debate the three songs chosen by REELZ as quintessential songs in KISS' career. This week Tom & Zeus bring back SIOL's favorite bootlegger, Roy Damm to break down, discuss and yes, identify who he believes is the person behind all the unseen KISS video footage that has taken the KISS Army by storm, the mysterious, Sam Loomis. The guys ask Roy to share his thoughts on the whole KISS drama created by these, mostly never before seen footage. Roy also talks about his long term relationship with Curt Gooch, the so-called KISS buyers group and the man that he identifies as Sam Loomis. As expected, Roy does not pull any punches and speaks HIS truth. This week Tom & Zeus welcome back AEW Wrestling Superstar, lead singer of Fozzy & host of the Talk is Jericho Podcast, Le Champion himself, Chris Jericho and his Non Makeup KISS inspired band, Kuarantine to Shout It Out Loudcast! Kuarantine consists of 5 awesome musicians with their own careers who joined together to celebrate their love of Non-Makeup KISS music. Jericho is joined by the killer duo guitar attack of Joe McGuinness (Klassik 78) & Charlie Parra del Riego (Kobra And The Lotus), bassist extraordinaire and funny man, PJ Farley (Trixter) and the kick ass drummer, Kent Slucher (Luke Bryan). Kuarantine was formed during the pandemic and has released 4 singles of KISS songs to date, No, No, No, Heart of Chrome, Love's A Deadly Weapon and Silver Spoon. The songs have climbed the rock charts and surpassed KISS' own charts during that era. The guys discuss all things Non-Makeup KISS, the songs, the era and the bond that connects the band because of this specific era. They breakdown their break out performance at Creatures Fest and what's in store for Kuarantine. As usual this SIOL conversation is filled with insults, laughs and more. The guys get honest about about this era of KISS and their KISStory. So don't miss this unique episode or you will skidmark your knickers! For all things Shout It Out Loudcast check out our amazing website by clicking below: www.ShoutItOutLoudcast.com Interested in more Shout It Out Loudcast content?  Care to help us out?  Come join us on Patreon by clicking below: SIOL Patreon Shop At Our Amazon Store by clicking below: Shout It Out Loudcast Amazon Store Please go to Klick Tee Shop for all your Shout It Out Loudcast Merchandise by clicking below:SIOL Merchandise at Klick Tee Shop Please Email us comments or suggestions by clicking below:ShoutItOutLoudcast@Gmail.com Please subscribe to us and give us a 5 Star (Child) review on the following places below:iTunesPodchaserStitcheriHeart RadioSpotify  Please follow us and like our social media pages clicking below:TwitterFacebook PageFacebook Group Page Shout It Out LoudcastersInstagramYouTube Please check out our sponsor FusionTech Data & Electric for all your data and electrical needs by clicking below:FusionTech Data And Electric Proud Member of the Pantheon Podcast click below to see the website:Pantheon Podcast Network
