This time we delve into life as a carp angler in Australia with Mike's old friend from school, Scott Rollo. Snakes, spiders, bow hunters, kangaroos and the potential to catch carp beyond your wildest dreams is a stark contrast from the UK scene but Oz isn't the easiest place to fish as you'll get to hear. Mike and Mark also chew the fat around moon phases, the expected Autumnal big feed up and Terry's epic, new film, dropped by Jack and ESP. Enjoy the usual banter and stories mixed in as Mark also explains his holiday from hell plane disaster....

We are back after another typical short hiatus. This episode focuses on our pursuit for the extremely elusive 50cm Bream. In the first instalment, we head to Tasmania. The land of 'monster bream' and rugged landscapes. The landscape was definitely that... the bream... well you are just going to have to listen in. We talk about our pre trip expectations and how the trip went down, favourite lures and what we learnt. This trip was 100%... interesting to say the least.
We are back again, and talking summer bream for both the Black and Yellow varieties with the ever helpful Byron Tea Hill. Is it to much in the way of Bream.... probably.... but we have to wait for Autumn or the end of our trip to Tassie for the next one. Anyway, sit back relax and get your ear holes around this masterpiece and learn how we approach summer bream, what we use and what we are excited to use for the coming seasons ahead, while we also talk sponos (not for us) and of course youtube.
In this episode we talk to up and coming YouTube fisherman and all-round good guy Drew Mintoss. Rob Paxevanos from Fishing Australia takes us fishing with Nick Kyrgios on Jervis Bay. They had a great time catching squid and experienced a real "Attenborough moment", off shore, with a massive school of krill turning the water red and attracting a feeding pod of whales. According to Rob the fishing was brilliant but for the first time in his life he didn't care. Rob was totally awestruck by the leviathans of the deep breaching, cavernous mouths agape, to feed on the tiny morsels.

When it comes to catching sailfish few are better at chasing them on bait balls than Bomber but there is so much more to the amazingly remote and unique gulf fishery he has on Groote Eylandyt. Then there is the amazing recapture rate rate which is out of this world
When it comes to fishing locations few places offer the scenery and fishing diversity as spectacular as Sydney Harbour. However we almost lost it when marine park lockouts were imposed in his no bars hold style Al talks it up but squarely pints the finger at the culprits too!
Al talks us through all the techniques for catching one of Australia’s favourite sportfish from the Abrolhos to Port PhillIp and right up the East Coast. And of course Al raised the question of conservation and throws in a bit of Aussie slang as well
Catching marlin is one of the greatest achievements any angler can score and few people know them as well as Al. In this podcast Al touches on not only the tricks of the trade but a few stories along the way
