Feeling worn out and ready to give up? In this encouraging message from Neighborhood Church, Elder Eric unpacks Philippians 3:12-21 with a simple but powerful call: keep pressing forward! Learn how Paul—writing from a jail cell, chained to a Roman soldier—teaches us to leave yesterday's failures and victories behind, follow examples that point us to Christ, and live with eternity in view. Whether you're facing pressure in your marriage, finances, health, or faith, this message reminds you that God isn't asking for perfection, just direction. Discover why your identity isn't found in politics, success, or the past, but in belonging to Jesus. If you're discouraged or tempted to quit, this word will stir up fresh hope and faith-filled determination. Don't give up—your due season is coming!

Have you ever thought, I can get to this later? I don’t need to do this now. It is really not that important. Maintenance. I was with my brother Frank, this week in the farm country of western Flagler County, Florida, when we were looking at a very large and beautiful field that had been mowed. It was framed with cattle and tall summer crops in the background, green and vibrant. The land was adjacent to a beautiful house that has been in a family for over a hundred years. But, in the middle of the field was an old abandoned truck. It was ancient, rusted and derelict and the mowers of the field, well, they just mowed around it. I mean the same big tractor that mowed this big field surely had a small chain and hook that could have been attached to the small truck and moved it out of the field. But, it was obviously just easier to mow around it. To know it is there but not deal with it and mow around It. I have stuff like that in my life. It is just easier to mow around it than to deal with it……attitudes, thoughts, actions,…It is amazing how much a real-life example can speak. Do you have stuff you are mowing around? This is an examination of what the Bible says about this topic and how we can address this complacency in our lives. It also differentiates between Satan pounding us with guilt and the Holy Spirit nudging us to correct things. It is about our covering.

All of us have things in our lives that we feel guilty about as we seek to follow Christ. Whether it's parenting, marriage, work, our daily devotions, or anything else in between, we often come up short in what God has called us to. How do we move forward? Maybe instead of guilt, you've been feeling pretty good about how you've been living and maybe there's a little bit of pride there. How should we check our hearts in that? In this episode, we will dive into Paul's words to those of us in either of those places.
In a teaching titled, “Forgetting the Past,” out of Philippians 3:12-16, Pastor J.D. explains two practical ways to stop dwelling in the past. -- Those wishing to give to Calvary Chapel Kaneohe, please visit https://calvarychapelkaneohe.com/donate/
