Joy isn't found in holding on—it's found in letting go. You weren't created to live with clenched fists. You were made to give, to trust, and to worship with your whole life. Do you feel stuck in worry, anxiety, or frustration? Do you want to experience more peace, more clarity, more joy? God's Word makes it clear: joy-filled living begins with joy-filled giving. It's time to take a step of faith. Let God change your heart, and watch how He changes your life.
Forgetting the Past | Unshakable Joy by Meadows Church
If we say we follow Christ, we should want to live as he lived Jesus came to serve, not to BE served, and give his life as a ransom for many. Jesus set an example of serving that is meant to be followed, just just admired. If we say we've been changed from the inside out by Jesus, then we should have a desire to give our lives in serving HIM. How can we do that? How can we set an example of having a heart for serving? The primary goal of the local church isn't just to get us here on a Sunday, but to take in what we learn and use it to give our lives for Jesus
In your suffering, in your struggle there is an opportunity for WORSHIP and WITNESS Even in your discouragement, God has not given up on you. Remember his promise that he will finish what he started. He is with you and he is for you. Your circumstances aren't nearly as important as what you do with them. Our response to suffering and struggling shows what we really believe! Happiness may be circumstantial, but Joy cannot be taken from you!
There are many famous “stones” throughout Scripture. The stone tablets with the 10 Commandments written on them, the stone that slayed Goliath, and of course: The stone that was rolled away when Jesus resurrected from the grave! The stone wasn't rolled away so Jesus could get out, but that we might look in and see that the tomb was empty and our king was alive! There is another story of a woman caught in the act of adultery who was supposed to be killed by way of stoning. And before he rose from the dead, Jesus saved this woman's life in a picture of grace and mercy that is FOR YOU today!
The one thing that hold you back from God will be the one thing that hold you back from God What's that one thing you're holding back from God? What is the area (or areas) you struggle to trust him? Many times we put our faith in our own plan or just about anything besides God. How can sheep in scripture teach us about trusting in God and his supernatural provision? This Easter season, we are looking at the story of Jesus through the lens of a donkey, a rooster, and today: A sheep. God paid a ransom to save every single one of us!
Failure does not define you. How you respond to that failure is what defines you. We all go through failure in different seasons of life. How will we respond? Are we allowing doubt over our past mistakes define our present or future? Guilt over past mistakes can be so crippling. But there is no way to “out-sin” the grace of God. The disciple Peter is a great example of this as the failure of his denial of Jesus could have easily ruined his calling. But we have a decision to make today!
God has a purpose for you just as you are. Our weakness makes room for God's power. God didn't just save you FROM something, he saved you FOR something! This Easter season, we are taking a look at the final days of Jesus's life on earth through the lenses of some different characters. Jesus rode into the city of Jerusalem on a donkey's colt, which had major significance. Not only was Jesus riding in on a donkey a symbol of his coming in peace, but it was also a great picture for us today. No matter how insignificant we may feel, we have a part to play in bringing Jesus to his people!
In your relationships, choose FAITH over FEAR. Sometimes it's easier said than done to live a righteous life, especially when we face persecution. But persecution is an opportunity to rejoice, to be glad, to know that we are setting the right example of a Godly life in Christ. Are we willing to count the cost of truly following Jesus? How do we stay on the narrow path with so much pressure to conform to the way of the world? How do we push through persecution?
Why does purity matter for Christians? What does Jesus say about it? “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” When it comes to purity, we don't just need BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION, we need HEART TRANSFORMATION. The world tells us to follow our heart and live our own truth, but that's dangerous because the heart is inherently wicked. How can we allow Jesus to truly transform us from the inside out? How can we protect our relationships not only physically but spiritually as well?
We all face conflict in our lives, but how do we handle it? How do we deal with it? Jesus said blessed are the peacemakers. We have a responsibility to make peace and seek forgiveness. To seek restoration. Followers of Jesus are the most forgiven people in the world, and therefore should be the most forgiving people in the world. Being a peacemaker is one of the best ways to share your faith and show the love of Jesus. Being a peacemaker glorifies God, and seeking it requires action. The three “Gs” of peacemaking show us how!
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness—God satisfies. How can we pursue righteousness in our homes? Whether we are parents or in a relationship or single, our lives can point others to Jesus. The reality is, the way we live our life is pointing somebody somewhere. This message will teach us three ways we can practically hunger and thirst for righteousness, seeking the blessings of God and learning to truly PRACTICE righteousness.
Willpower alone won't change your life. No matter how well-intentioned we may be, on our own, we cannot sustain good habits. We need the power of the Holy Spirit, which is available, accessible, and abundant! How do we access the power of the Spirit of God? We can learn a lot from Paul, who wrote much of the New Testament and lived out the example of relying on the power of the Holy Spirit. We all go through periods of time where we try to fight battles in our own strength, but in order to win a spiritual battle, we need supernatural strategies!
You Reap What You Sow | Staying Disciplined by Meadows Church
You are ONE HABIT AWAY from changing your life forever. TRYING, however, isn't the answer — if that's not the answer, what is? There's a big difference between trying and training. We have all chosen and developed habits throughout our lives. How do we start living the life God purposed and plans for us? It requires us to do something — no matter what — TODAY.
Discipline is long obedience in the right direction. True transformation happens when we move from hope to habit, allowing God to renew our minds and shape our daily choices. Stay connected to Him, take small, consistent steps, and trust that steady plodding brings prosperity. What's one habit you can commit to today?
More than anything, God longs for us to be in His presence. And He longs for our presence over our productivity in many cases, as we learn from Moses in Exodus 24. Like planting a garden, spiritual growth requires patience. This message dives into why you shouldn't 'dig up the seed' of faith prematurely and the importance of trusting God's timing. Running to God in a waiting season is never wasted, because when we spend time in God's presence, we become more like Him!
Genuine worship requires sacrifice. How can we live a life of true sacrificial worship that is pleasing to God? Sacrificial worship moves the heart of God and impacts the people of God. Our life is meant to be one filled with faith and oftentimes we hold back for fear or discomfort. But today is a new day! This message will teach you how to run to God and respond to his goodness and faithfulness in your life.
God always gives back more than you could ever give up! Fasting is more than a sacrifice—it's a powerful way to align your heart with God's will, set the stage for breakthrough, and gain clarity for your next steps. It's not about what you're giving up—it's about what you stand to gain. Join us in our 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting: https://meadows.church/21-days-of-prayer-fasting/
As we close out this year and look forward to the next, join us for a powerful message. Let's end the year together with faith and expectation!
We may not always understand the PROCESS, but God always has a PURPOSE. The Christmas Story is loaded with great examples of how often our plans change, many times unexpectedly. As unexpected as the journey may have been, the journey led to the greatest gift ever given: Our eternal salvation through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It's a gift that's available to you today, no matter how many unexpected twists and turns your life has taken!
The King of Kings has made himself available, accessible, and approachable to you. How do we respond to this available, accessible, approachable King? There is ONE WAY to God — Jesus. Thousands of ways to Jesus. Your path may not be the same as anyone else's, but the good news is available to everyone! No matter where you've been or what you've done, salvation is available to you today!
The mark of a faith that follows is found in our obedience to Christ. Many people believe in Jesus. Few people actually follow him. If we actively follow Jesus, it's impossible to stay the same. We are called to walk in the footsteps of Jesus. It's not about perfection, but direction. Do we claim to know God but deny Him with our actions?
You're invited not just to BELIEVE in the Kingdom of God, but to TAKE PART in the Kingdom of God. How do we participate in God's Kingdom? It starts with obedience. Who sits on the throne in your life, truly? Who is in charge? Oftentimes, we put ourselves and our own way above God, pretending that he can share the throne with anyone or anything. But we can't serve two masters. We get to make the decision — is Jesus going to be the King of our lives or will we refuse to give up the throne?
As we close out this series, hear inspiring testimonies from others on how trusting God with their giving transformed their lives. Generosity isn't about finances—it's about faith!
We earn all we can and save all we can so we can give all we can. Generosity isn't based on how much you have, but who has you. Giving is tangible evidence of your love for God, but your heart matters! Your willingness to give is more important than the amount you give. And when you give cheerfully, God provides generously!!
Saving allows us to be ready for the Holy Spirit's prompting. Living an abundant life requires discipline on our part. How close are we paying attention to all that we're spending? How can we honor God through saving finances and being good stewards of all we've been given? What we feed thrives, and what we starve dies. How do we feed the desires of the Holy Spirit and not constantly feed the desires of our flesh?
We don't chase money for money's sake. We earn all we can for the sake of Kingdom impact. We should not shy away from wanting more. The question is — what will we do with it and how will we honor God with it? No one wants you living a FULL, ABUNDANT life more than the one who created you Step 1 to living that full, abundant life is earning more. How do we do it?
As followers of Jesus, we need to use the voice that we've been given to love God and love others. God's priorities are not the priorities of the world. His priorities are saving the lost, unity, love, justice, freedom for those in bondage, and accomplishing his purposes in our lives. Are we fighting for an earthly agenda or for God's will to be done? His kingdom comes to earth through YOU.
We can choose to chase the ways of this world, or we can choose to chase Jesus. The question is — will we be committed to God's way or the world's way? Maybe for some of us, it's not just the world's way but OUR way. Following Jesus definitely has a cost, but there's a price to be paid for living the world's way. How do we chase after Jesus above all else?
Before we can be one NATION under God, we have to be INDIVIDUALS under God. Far too often, there are people and things that take the place of God in our lives. That is called “idolatry” – placing someone or something before God. As we approach election season, it's important to remember that we are citizens of heaven, first and foremost. Our responsibilities to be carriers of the gospel is not changed based on who is in office. Are we choosing every day to be INDIVIDUALS under God? Are we living lives of daily surrender?
It's time to BLESS someONE today! How do we love our neighbor? We BLESS them. Our primary purpose as followers of Jesus is to REACH people for Jesus. One of the best ways we can do that is by sharing our story. Jesus invites you to share your story. Your story isn't about how BAD you are but how GOOD God is! What has he done for you? What was your life before Jesus? How has he changed you? Today is the day to let God show up in your story!
To love your neighbor, Jesus invites you to EAT with them! There's something about sharing a meal with each other that passes things beyond acquaintance to friendship. Not only does Jesus invite us to relationship with him and to join him at the table, but he asks us us to do the same for others. People don't care about what you know until they know you care about them. Who can you invite to a meal? Have you accepted Jesus' invitation?
To love our neighbors, we've got to KNOW our neighbors. And knowing begins with LISTENING! Truly listening may be the kindest, most loving gift you can give to someone. Far too often, Christians are known more for talking rather than listening, but Jesus set us a perfect example. Jesus listened intently. He listened to people no matter their background to prove that he cared! How can we apply this example in our own lives to truly love and value our neighbor?
To love your neighbor means to serve your neighbor. If Jesus washes feet, He calls you to do the same. Who did Jesus serve? Anyone around him. HOW did he serve? Pray for people. Mentor and disciple. Heal the sick. Feed the hungry. Cast out demons. Jesus calls us to do what he did!
Love begins here! We often hear that we're supposed to love our neighbors, but what does that really mean and how do we practically do that? One of the best ways to start loving the people around you is to actually pray for them! To love your neighbor means praying for your neighbor. Who will you pray for specifically today?
God answers prayer. It may not always be OUR timing, but HIS timing is always perfect. He knows exactly what we need. He is God our provider. He is faithful no matter what. We're sharing stories in this service of God's faithfulness, His provision, His goodness, and how He works through every detail of our lives!
How do we hear from God? God speaks to us all differently as individuals, but there are three specific ways He speaks to everyone. Are you in the Word? Are you listening to the Holy Spirit? Do you have Godly people in your life? Today is the day to press in!
It's IMPOSSIBLE to be completely devoted to Jesus if you're not in a small group We can't love one another and build each other up if we're not in community with one another. It's in these small groups that we truly live out what God has called us to do. We desperately need people who love the Lord in our lives. To build up, to encourage, to pray for, to listen to, to LOVE!
There is a big difference between a GOOD friend and a GODLY friend. God wants to connect you to other people — Not just anybody, but people that will SHARPEN you in your faith and CHALLENGE you in what you believe. Sacrifice is the basis for relationship. Connecting with others will cost you something, but anything good in life does! We need Godly friends who will help sharpen us and lead us closer to Christ.
Somebody, somewhere is RELYING on YOU to take a step of obedience! If you're saved, God wants to use you for others. Your presence in the lives of others is powerful! We need to encourage one another, pray about each other, and build each other up. It's essential that we don't try to live in isolation but that we DELIBERATELY seek out others.
Something supernatural happens when we GATHER The early church showed us exactly why we're better together. We do life together, we pray for each other, and we watch God move through each other. The early church didn't just make converts to Christ, they made DISCIPLES!
Everything we do, we do WELL! God deserves nothing but our best every day, in every situation, in every circumstance. How do we give God our best? Obedience. Because obedience equals EXCELLENCE! If we want to be part of God's plan, obedience is mandatory!
Are you willing to do whatever it takes to lead someone to Jesus? Are you willing to do whatever it takes to LOVE someone like Jesus? We have been put on this earth for a specific purpose. As followers of Christ, we are called to do whatever it takes to walk in obedience and love like Christ. Sometimes the things God will ask you to do will be inconvenient, uncomfortable, and unheard of. But our perception has to change! Are you seeing PROBLEMS or are you seeing PEOPLE?
No matter where you've been, no matter what you've done, you're never too far gone for God! ALL are welcome! The Good News of Jesus is for everyone.
Who are you doing life with? Are you growing closer to God because of those people? Who we surround ourselves with matters. We were created to be relational! There are three specific types of people we all need in our lives. How can we know the people in our lives are bringing us closer to God? We need people in our lives we can seek for wisdom, we need people who will hold us accountable, and we need people who love God wholeheartedly!
Who is your authority? JESUS is our authority. He is the living Word of God. He set an example to be followed. How different could our lives and the lives of those we love look if we would live and love like Jesus? If we would truly make Him our authority? Jesus has all authority to forgive everything you and I have ever done or ever will do. He has the final word! And He has eternal LIFE for you today!
Your growth isn't just about YOU it's about someone else. As we GROW, we MULTIPLY! Growth was never meant to “end” with just you. Your growth and walk with Christ is meant to impact others. Yes, Jesus wants to grow and change YOU, but he also wants that to multiply to others!
