What a fun call! If you weren't able to join me on zoom...here is the replay! We talked about the "All or Nothing" Cycle and how to break it to lose the weight we want. Here's how the cycle works: We have an "over-desire" to be thin. This creates urgency to be thin now. We restrict and try to lose weight from a place of extreme measures. This causes burnout and deprivation. We are miserable. We decide we would rather be overweight instead of living in this misery. We over-indulge. Indulgence doesn't feel good after a while. So then we have the urgent desire to be thin again and it all starts over. How do we break this cycle? The key is to ask yourself, "What do I think "thinness" will bring me? And for most of us, it's happiness, contentment, joy, or confidence. We think a thinner body will get us a feeling. The good and bad news is that changing our bodies won't create new feelings for us, but rather change our thoughts about ourself. Those new thoughts create the feelings we want. Listen in to see how we can create the feelings of confidence and happiness now...so when we want to lose the weight, we do it from a sustainable place! Hope Unwrapped is a 6 week Advent-Inspired Weight-Loss Journey class. 1. We will be studying 6 lessons of Advent and applying them to our weight-loss journey. Here are the topics of the 6 lessons: Prophecy of the Messiah - how can we apply the anticipation of God's promises to our weight loss journey. Preparing the way - how can we prepare our hearts for Christmas and repent to make our hearts pure. The announcement of Mary - what was Mary's response to the angel telling her she was going to be the mother of Jesus. How can we practice trust and obedience in our weight-loss journey. The joy of the Shepherds - how can we have joy in weight-loss...even when it's hard. The love of God - how does God's love affect our weight-loss journey. Christ coming back - How can we have a future focus on our weight-loss journey. 2. The 2 phases of nutrition. Here is what we will be learning about how food affects weight-loss. over-desire and urges. Our focus will be on whole foods with exceptions. The goal is to follow our plan and master urges. There will be a meal plan template and specific meal plan samples for guidance in planning. Calories and macros. The focus will be on how to nourish our bodies in a slight deficit so it isn't under stress. The goal will be to learn how much our body needs to survive and still lose body fat. There will be a specific meal plan sample with calories and measurements of food for a guideline. 3. Results - you create. I will teach you how to create any result you want. You get to choose what you want to focus on. Here are some ideas of what you will take away from our 6 weeks together and the tools I will teach you. clarity of your protocol confidence in listening to you and the Holy Spirit feeling less guilt and judgement feel more hope and love for yourself learn how to create a sustainable plan feel more in control with urges 4. Format and what's included: portal with videos of lessons, including hunger hormones, protocol, and emotional eating private podcast for replays digital workbook with tracking your progress, bible study lessons, meal plans, protocol tools and journal prompts We will be meeting on Monday's from 10:30am-12noon PST and Thursday's from 11:30-12:30 PST. Monday's will include teaching of bible study topic, weight-loss tools and coaching. Thursday's call is a check-in call for accountability and coaching. 5. Cost: This class is a $600 value. What?!?? There's no ONE way to plan? I had no idea! I always try to find that 1 “right way” to do things. I've found that when I believe there's only 1 right way, I feel defeated and overwhelmed. Once I realized (and really believed) that there's many ways to do things and all of them are right…I found MY way that gave me confidence to keep going. This is for all areas of our life. Most of my life, I've been over-weight. It wasn't until 2020 that I learned how to unwind my love for food and create my body to be a fat burning machine. I thought this was the way. Until I couldn't lose anymore. I wanted to lose the last 10-15 pounds, and I couldn't...I felt like I was stuck. Then I started counting calories & macros specific for my body. I started on August 5th and have broke through my plateau and am 10 pounds down counting macros. Now I know there is no right way to lose....in fact, we need both ways. That has prompted me to offer a 6 week weight-loss journey implementing both phases to master weight-loss. Join me for a 6 week Advent Inspired Journey to losing 10 pounds leading up to the holidays. Enjoy this hour-long masterclass on setting weight-loss goals & sticking to it!
