Have you ever faced a battle that seemed bigger than you? Deuteronomy chapter 20 reminds us that for God's people, battles were never a matter of if but when. The Israelites would face enemies with more horses, more chariots, and more soldiers — yet they had something far greater: the presence of the Lord their God and the memory of His past victories. In this chapter, Moses teaches the people how to go to war God's way: with courage, with order, with compassion, and with faith. From the priest's encouragement before battle, to the exemptions for those not ready to fight, to the command to speak peace before raising the sword, and even to the stewardship of fruit trees, we see that God's instructions were never about destruction for destruction's sake — they were about preserving life, guarding holiness, and trusting Him. Join us for this episode of the Woman at the Well Ministries podcast as Erika Klose walks through Deuteronomy 20 and reminds us that in our daily battles we are never alone. The Lord goes with us, His desire for us is peace, and His love sustains us through every challenge. Did you enjoy this podcast? Post a review and share it! The root word of Christianity is Christ. Jesus Christ is the Basis for Christianity. What separates our beliefs from those of the other religions? It is how we settle the question of what we are going to do with this man we call Christ. When you peel away all of the doctrines and theology what you have left of Christianity is the works of Christ. His sinless life and finished work on Calvary paid the price for our salvation. All we have to do is believe in Him and receive His forgiveness for our sins. What makes Him different from gods of all of the other religions? Christ's victory over sin, death and the grave. The object of all other religions lies lifeless and dead, but our God, Jesus, is alive and well. Have you ever thought about how God's justice is always balanced by His mercy? Deuteronomy chapter 19 gives us a striking glimpse into both. As the Israelites prepared to enter the Promised Land, Moses delivered specific instructions—not just about how to live in obedience, but how to live in community. From establishing Cities of Refuge to protecting land boundaries and upholding truth in the courtroom, this chapter is filled with reminders that God's law is not only righteous—it's also compassionate. We begin with the Cities of Refuge: places of safety for those who had accidentally caused harm. These cities were more than just legal protections—they were symbols of God's heart for mercy. If someone unintentionally took a life, they could flee to one of these cities and be spared the vengeance of others. But that mercy had its limits. Those who committed murder with intent could not hide behind a city wall—their actions had consequences. This chapter also touches on the command not to steal, reminding the Israelites that justice includes respecting your neighbor's property. And it closes with a powerful warning about bearing false witness. In God's system, truth matters. False testimony wasn't just frowned upon—it came with real consequences. Join us for this episode of the Woman at the Well Ministries podcast as Erika Klose teaches from Deuteronomy chapter 19. Together, we'll see how God's justice makes space for grace, how His mercy is never far away, and how His Word—every part of it—applies to our lives today. Did you enjoy this podcast? So often we find ourselves requesting things of God, whether it is for ourselves or for others. We even find ourselves disgruntled or hurt when we think God isn't listening or delivering on time. But do we ever really take the time to be present with Him to know what we should be asking for and listening for what He really has to say. If we listened sometimes we would be surprised at what we hear. Deuteronomy chapter 18 paints a powerful picture of what holiness looks like among God's people. It begins with the Levites—men chosen and sustained by God to serve Him alone. While every other tribe received land, the Levites' inheritance was far greater: the presence of the Lord Himself. But this chapter also comes with strong warnings. God's people were not to imitate the nations around them with sorcery, witchcraft, or consulting the dead. Instead, they were to be blameless before Him, fully devoted and set apart. And then comes one of the most remarkable promises of the Old Testament: God would raise up a Prophet from among His people—One who would speak His words with authority. This prophecy points directly to Jesus, the Savior who would come to fulfill God's Word and call us to obedience. Join us for this episode of the Woman at the Well Ministries podcast as Erika Klose teaches from Deuteronomy chapter 18. Together, we'll see what it means to support God's work, to guard our hearts from the enemy's lies, and to look to Jesus—the Prophet, the Savior, and the One who speaks God's Word into our lives today. Can people tell you are a Christian? If you were arrested for being a Christian is there enough evidence in your life to convict you? Paul said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek (Romans 1:16).” Paul's identity with Christ was clear and his identity was completely lost in Christ. Have you ever thought about what it really means to give God your best? Deuteronomy chapter 17 is full of instructions for the Israelites—on sacrifices, avoiding idolatry, resolving disputes, and even how to choose a king. While some of these commands may feel distant from our everyday lives, the principles behind them are timeless. This chapter reminds us that God deserves our very best—our purest worship, our highest devotion, and our first priority. It warns us about anything that would take His rightful place in our lives. It calls us to respect authority, live justly, and make decisions that honor Him. And it challenges leaders—whether kings or everyday influencers—to lead with humility, keep God's Word close, and never let pride take root. Join us for this episode of the Woman at the Well Ministries podcast as Erika Klose teaches from Deuteronomy chapter 17. Together, we'll discover how to live with integrity, honor God's authority, and lead—whether in our homes, workplaces, or communities—in a way that reflects His heart. Did you enjoy this podcast? Have you ever noticed how much God values both remembrance and rejoicing? Deuteronomy chapter 16 takes us on a journey through three important feasts—Passover, Weeks, and Tabernacles—reminding the Israelites to remember God's deliverance, rejoice in His blessings, and gather in the place He has chosen. These celebrations were not optional—they were acts of obedience, opportunities for gratitude, and moments to come together as God's people. But this chapter isn't only about feasts. It's about how we live every day. God calls His people to give generously, to show up faithfully, to choose leaders who value justice, and to guard the sacred places of worship from anything that would come between us and Him. Join us for this episode of the Woman at the Well Ministries podcast as Erika Klose teaches from Deuteronomy chapter 16. Together, we'll discover how to live lives marked by remembrance, rejoicing, generosity, and purity of heart—so that nothing comes between us and the Lord we love. Did you enjoy this podcast? Have you ever been amazed by how practical God's grace really is? Deuteronomy chapter 15 gives us a powerful picture of what it looks like to live out grace in everyday life. From debt release to generosity, from caring for the poor to giving God our best, this chapter calls us to let grace be visible—not just in our hearts, but in our homes and communities. It opens with the Lord's release—a reminder that every seventh year, debts were to be forgiven, fields were to rest, and the people were to trust fully in God's provision. In this rhythm of rest and release, God taught His people that grace was not just a concept—it was a command. A way of life. This chapter shows us that when we give freely and forgive fully, we reflect the heart of God. We're reminded that generosity isn't a loss—it's a blessing. And when we care for those around us, especially the least among us, we become a living testimony of God's mercy. Join us for this episode of the Woman at the Well Ministries podcast as Erika Klose teaches from Deuteronomy chapter 15 and focuses on verse 10: “Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.” Let's discover what it means to be people who live generously, give sacrificially, and love others as Christ has loved us. Have you ever wondered why God gave the Israelites specific rules about what they could and couldn't eat? Deuteronomy chapter 14 might seem like just a list of do's and don'ts, but at its heart, it carries a powerful message: God calls His people to be distinct and set apart for Himself. This chapter begins with a bold reminder: “Ye are the children of the Lord your God.” (Deuteronomy 14:1). It's a profound truth—we are chosen, created, and deeply loved by God. With this identity comes a call to live differently than those around us, from the way we grieve to the food we consume, and even in how we manage our resources. While we no longer follow the dietary laws of the Old Testament, the underlying message remains unchanged: God's desire is that our lives clearly reflect our relationship with Him. We are called to holiness, not merely by following rules, but by letting our actions demonstrate our love and commitment to God. Join us in this episode of the Woman at the Well Ministries podcast as Erika Klose explores Deuteronomy chapter 14, centering on verse 2: “For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.” Let's discover together how God's call to holiness and distinct living is just as relevant today as it was thousands of years ago. Have you ever considered just how far the enemy will go to pull you away from God? Deuteronomy chapter 13 is a powerful warning—and a loving call to vigilance. It reminds us that our relationship with God is not only precious, it's worth protecting. From false prophets to familiar voices, anything that draws us away from God is a tool of the enemy. This chapter opens with a warning: deception can come from anywhere, even from those closest to us. But God's message is clear—don't listen. Don't follow. Cling to Him. Walk after Him. Fear Him. Obey His voice. Serve Him. Love Him with all your heart and soul. God's instructions to the Israelites may seem extreme, but they point to a truth we still need today: the devil is working hard to distract and destroy, but God is calling us to walk faithfully and fully with Him. Sometimes, that means removing things from our lives—even things that seem harmless or valuable—if they're pulling our hearts away from Christ. Join us for this episode of the Woman at the Well Ministries podcast as Erika Klose teaches from Deuteronomy chapter 13, focusing on verse 4: “ Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.” Let's talk about guarding our hearts, cleaning our spiritual house, and holding tightly to the One who loves us most. Because obedience isn't just about saying no to sin—it's about saying yes to a relationship with the living God. Did you enjoy this podcast? Post a review and share it! What does it look like when a family answers God's call—together? In this inspiring weekend episode of the Raising Godly Girls Podcast, host Patti Garibay, American Heritage Girls Founder & Executive Director Emeritus, sits down with Kim and Katie Miller of Sight & Sound Theatres, a mother-daughter duo living out a vibrant legacy of multigenerational ministry. From backstage beginnings to center stage moments, their story is a testimony to the power of faithful families saying “yes” to God—again and again. With roots in rural Pennsylvania and a passion for Bible-centered storytelling, the Miller family's journey began with one man's vision and has grown into one of the most impactful theatrical ministries in the world. Kim, daughter of Sight & Sound's founders and now Ministry Coordinator, shares how that vision took shape in the early years and what it's meant to pass the torch to the next generation. Katie, her daughter and Director of Brand Development, offers her own reflections on growing up surrounded by purpose and how she personally embraced her role in the ministry legacy. Together, they unpack the beauty and complexity of serving as a family—what it means to disciple intentionally, live faithfully in both public and private moments, and nurture a daughter's identity in Christ while inviting her into the bigger story God is writing. Whether you're raising girls in the pews, behind the scenes, or at the kitchen table, you'll walk away encouraged by their honesty, wisdom, and generational faithfulness. Have you ever thought about how obedience shapes a life? Deuteronomy chapter 12 shows us that loving God isn't just about emotion - it's about action. It's about choosing God's way, even when everything around us pulls in a different direction. As the Israelites stood on the edge of the Promised Land, God didn't just give them land—He gave them instructions. Tear down the false gods. Clear out the distractions. Worship only where God says to worship. Why? Because obedience leads to blessing, not just for them, but for their children and their children's children. This chapter reminds us that obedience isn't about rules—it's about relationship. It's about living in a way that shows we trust God, we honor God, and we love God enough to follow Him fully. Join us for this episode of the Woman at the Well Ministries podcast as Erika Klose teaches from Deuteronomy chapter 12, focusing on verse 28: “Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the Lord thy God..” Let's explore what it looks like to build a culture of obedience—where our lives, our homes, and our hearts are set apart for Him. Have you ever noticed how one word can change everything? Deuteronomy chapter 11 opens with the word “therefore,” reminding us to look back—to remember what God has already done. Chapter 10 showed us that God is the God of second chances. And now, chapter 11 invites us to respond to that mercy with obedience. In this chapter, we hear God's call to love Him, to teach His Word to the next generation, and to walk in His ways—not out of obligation, but out of a heart that remembers His faithfulness. We're reminded that obedience brings blessing, not because we earn it, but because we walk closely with the One who is good. This is a chapter about choices—daily decisions to follow or to resist, to submit to God or to go our own way. And it's a chapter about legacy: what happens when we build our lives, our homes, and our families around God's Word. Join us for this episode of the Woman at the Well Ministries podcast as Erika Klose teaches from Deuteronomy chapter 11, and focuses on verse 26: “Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse.” Let's explore what it means to live in a place God can bless—and how today, just like the Israelites, we are given a choice. Have you ever needed a second chance? Of course you have—we all have. And isn't it incredible to know that we serve a God who offers them freely? Deuteronomy chapter 10 overflows with mercy, reminding us that even in our failure, God doesn't give up on us. He calls us back to Himself—not for punishment, but for restoration. In this chapter, we see the heart of God: a God who generously gives His commandments again, who provides for His people, who calls us to love, obey, and serve Him with all we are. And when we walk in that obedience, we find blessing—not because we earned it, but because He is good. Join us for this episode of the Woman at the Well Ministries podcast as Erika Klose teaches from Deuteronomy chapter 10, focusing on verse 1: “At that time the LORD said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.” Let's explore together the mercy of a God who writes new beginnings and calls us back into fellowship with Him. Sometimes in life, you just have to get back to the basics. We become so accustomed to routine and our lives that we sometimes forget the important details. We are so used to His presence, so accustomed to His grace, and so dependent upon His mercy that we forget who He is and what He has done. When we read in the Bible about Daniel, we see that he knew that God could be reached in time of trouble. He also knew that he had to be faithful and bold in his beliefs. God doesn't bless us because we're perfect—He blesses us because He's merciful. That truth might be hard to accept, but it's also deeply comforting. We stumble. We fall. We forget. Yet, God still loves us. Still blesses us. Still has plans for us. Just like the Israelites, we don't always get it right. They were called “a stiffnecked people”—stubborn, rebellious, and prone to forget God's goodness. But even in the face of their disobedience, God chose to bless them. Why? Because of His promise, His mercy, and His great love. Join us for this episode of the Woman at the Well Ministries podcast as Erika Klose teaches from Deuteronomy chapter 9, focusing on verse 6: “Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.” Let's reflect together on the amazing truth that God blesses us not because of who we are—but because of who He is. It's easy to believe that everything we have is ours—our job, our home, our money. After all, we worked hard for it, right? But what if I told you… it's not really yours at all? Everything you have—every blessing, every possession, every opportunity—is from God. He gave you the ability to work, the mind to learn, and the open doors to walk through. And just like the Israelites, we need constant reminders that the source of all we have… is Him. In this episode of the Woman at the Well Ministries podcast, Erika Klose takes us into Deuteronomy chapter 8, focusing on verse 18: “But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.” Let's dive into what it really means to live with open hands, a grateful heart, and a deep awareness that it all belongs to God. Sometimes it's hard to wait on God. Sometimes it's hard to obey God. That innate desire for instant gratification, along with a desire to go our own way, runs through us fiercely sometimes. But God, in His infinite wisdom, knows what we can take (and take care of) at a given time. He gives us His wisdom to protect us from pain and sorrow in this world. He promises that He'll never put more upon us than we can bear, that He'll provide for all of our needs, and that His timing is perfect. Hold strong, my friends, to the path that God has set for you. Are you ready? God says things are ready and bids you come. He is telling you that all has been prepared for you to do His work. All you must do is come. He has invited you to share in His work. He is enabling you to do the work He has called you to do. If you continue to read these scriptures, you will see that the people who were given the invitation to come and sit at His table had many excuses. The end result was that they missed the opportunity to meet with Him and thereby were not allowed to share in the supper with their Lord. We all know people who attend church regularly, but the teachings of Jesus and the ways of God's people simply don't exude from them. They play church, if you will, but they don't really allow God to penetrate their hearts or be Lord of their lives. No doubt these people know a lot about God, but they don't have a relationship with Him. Join us in this podcast of Woman at the Well Ministries as Kim takes us on a journey through the scriptures revealing how we can truly know God by having a personal relationship with Him through His Son Jesus. Come join us as we receive the blessings of having a personal relationship with Jesus and being part of the family of God. Find out why all parents of multiples need a nai nai (grandmother) like Sufan in their lives.Identical twins Niko and Marko Martinovic grew up pulling off pranks together, switching spots on unsuspecting friends and family. Today they've turned those pranks into a full-time job, as the creators and stars of the "Even Out Twins" on YouTube. But ten years in, Niko and Marko are starting to question how constantly assuming the same identity has affected their individuality. Rory and Camilla Turnbull were born identical twin sisters, but now that Rory has come out as trans they're navigating life as brother and sister for the first time. Mercedes Sheen vividly remembers the time she fainted dramatically in the dining hall at primary school. But her twin sister, Michaela Sheen, insists it was she who fainted dramatically that day. These sorts of disagreements are what Mercedes calls “disputed memories,” and it's a phenomenon that happens mostly with twins. God always has a plan for our lives—and His plan is so much better than anything we could imagine. We may think we have it all figured out, but He is the one who truly knows the way. Many strive to have lots of material things—homes, boats, toys, and the like. Others work tirelessly to make a name for themselves, have the most prestigious job, and be revered by society. But the truth remains that only the things we do for Christ will last. All that we have done or ever will do won't bring the lasting happiness that a relationship with Jesus brings. My friend, Scripture brings our life into perspective in Mark 8:36, which says, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Join us in this podcast of Woman at the Well Ministries as Kim takes us on a journey through the Scriptures, revealing the importance of focusing on a personal relationship with Jesus. God, the Creator of the universe—the Maker and Owner of all things—chooses to live inside of you. He is not confined to a church building.
