Dennis Santana had another terrible game for the Pirates as the Guardians walked it off against the former closer on Saturday. The Pirates have 18 blown saves. A report came out from Bob Nightengale that the Pirates don't want to add much payroll, but Jeff disputed it and the Pirates are willing to add salary. "What Nightengale said just isn't true." Jeff said adding salary isn't a worry.

Jeff believes the Pirates will absolutely trade for bullpen help before the deadline. He doesn't expect a ‘prominent' starting arm to come in, but maybe a project. What would the cost be for some of these LHPs that could be on the block? Mitch Keller told reporters he was going to take the extra time during the break to work on a few things. Donny Football Debrief – Jon Gruden reportedly wants to make a comeback to the NFL, this time as a play-by-play guy.

Hour 4 with Bob Pompeani, Joe Starkey, and Jeff Hathhorn: Jared Jones was efficient and in command against Atlanta. Jeff thinks the Pirates should have saved Carmen Mlodzinski for Jared Jones' outing after going up by a significant amount. Jeff Passan thinks Garrett Whitlock is the best match for the Pirates but Luke Weaver is the dream match. Jeff Hathhorn thinks the No. 1 story at training camp is Joey Porter Jr. We don't think the Pirates will pitch a complete game.
