This week on Getting Colour, Conor and Jeff dive deep into the squared circle's untold history with wrestling historian John Cosper, author of “The Great and Inimitable June Byers.” (Available to purchase here.)Was June Byers the rightful heir to the women's wrestling throne—or the product of backstage politicking and promotional betrayal? Cosper walks us through the rise of Byers from a Texas upstart to the woman who dared to challenge Mildred Burke, topple the Wolfe-Burke empire, and claim her place in wrestling lore. We break down the infamous 1954 title match, the murky alliances behind the curtain, and why Byers' legacy has too often been pinned to the mat of history. This one's got drama, dirt, and dropkicks—so lace up, because we're giving color to one of wrestling's fiercest (and most misunderstood) champions. We're back each and every month for another deep dive into the world of shorts and spandex. Check us out on Twitter/X @GettingColour or email us at gettingcolour@gmail.com Yours in Wrestling,Conor & Jeff

His brother Jonny, co-author of "No Gimmicks Needed" a biography released earlier this year with co-writer John Cosper discusses what he saw during that era as his brother attained WWF success and how the Candido family lived it and loved his time basically being on his home turf.

After a length delay due to a myriad of technical issues on the site, the Attitude Of Aggression returns to celebrate its 5th Anniversary. It is a celebration too big for one Episode so we have broken it up into two parts. Here on Part 1, we have some fantastic interviews. The first one was a sit down Big Dave had with the one and only Tracy Smothers and author John Cosper. Recorded shortly after COVID-19 changed the world, and a couple of weeks out from WrestleMania 36, Tracy and John talk to Dave about Tracy's great autobiography "If You Don't Buy This Book Everybody Dies." Tracy and John discuss how they put the book together and there are loads of great stories from Tracy about his experiences, his triumphs, his tribulations, and everything in-between. Fans of the Great American Bash in 1990 will definitely want to listen in as Dave got to ask Tracy his recollections from one of our favorite WCW PPVs of all-time. It is a fantastic interview that any wrestling fan will want to hear. The second interview is a special one as Dave welcomes Chris Silvio back to the show for the first time in a few years. Chris was gracious enough to come on the show and give his insight into the challenges his colleagues are facing performing in front of empty arenas. He also gives us an update as to his status and offered his thoughts on WrestleMania just a few days prior to one of the most unique events in the history of pro wrestling. Fans of Chris, and all fans in general, will want to give this a listen. From there, Dave does a Semi-Retro Review unlike any other in the history of the show. It begins with recaps of Super Showdown from February, AEW Revolution from February, and Elimination Chamber from early March. These three events really altered the landscape of pro wrestling in many ways. Then, Dave recaps the week that immediately followed Elimination Chamber as the world literally changed around all of us. He discusses Raw and AEW Dynamite, both of which took place in front of full arenas. But he also discusses NXT, that was moved to the WWE Performance Center and closes by talking about the March 13, 2020 SmackDown, the first of the empty arena shows, which have now become the new normal for all of us. It is a somber recap of events that seem like something straight out of a sci-fi horror movie.....but which are now all too real to all of us. Still, it is a celebration of the 5th Anniversary of the Podcast so please join us for Part 1 of this mega-event.

It is a triple celebration here at AoA! Not only is it WrestleMania Sunday but we are celebrating our 4th Anniversary and Episode 250, all at the same time! We kick off the festivities with a no holds barred interview Big Dave did with the one and only Superstar Bill Dundee. The Superstar has never been someone shy or at a loss for words and that is definitely the case here as he talks about his career and lets you in on some eye opening stories about Randy Savage, Undertaker, Ric Flair, Eric Bischoff, and much more. On the 4th Anniversary of the show, this may be our most eye opening interview to date and one you will not want to miss. From there Big Dave is joined by author, playwright, and pro wrestling historian John Cosper. John brings you behind the scenes on his latest book chronicling the life and career of the original Black Panker, Jim Mitchell. John is as knowledgeable as anyone when it comes to the history of pro wrestling and we know you will appreciate his takes on the past, present, and future of this great industry we all love. From there, it is the return of Big Rick to the show. Coming out of a 9 month hiatus, Big Rick and Big Dave are like the Wonder Twins reuniting here as they not only preview WrestleMania 35, but they also countdown the greatest WrestleMania matches of all-time. How will things go at MetLife Stadium in a few short hours? What were the greatest WrestleMania matches of all-time? Tune in to Episode 250 and find out. Last but certainly not least, we leave the realm of pro wrestling to do something fun here on Episode 250. Superheroes and comic book based movies are all the rage these days, and for good reason. With Captain Marvel and Shazam being released, and with End Game on the horizon, the time seemed right to try and rank the greatest Super-Hero movies of all-time. Big Dave is joined by his lovely wife, and a couple of other super hero nerds to discuss the Top 10 Super Hero movies of all time in a fun and entertaining way to close out Episode 250 with a bang. Its a celebration of 4 years of excellence, buffoonery, insight, comedy, and fun here on Episode 250 and we truly hope you enjoy it!
