His film = Wake Up! = has much of the paranormal that I relate to [and still relate to]. In the spring of 2009, I had another huge shift in consciousness and saw some people with horns and tails. I realized that image had a specific message about those individuals. The paranormal and metaphysical resources in the film are helpful as he works to assimilate his experience and showcase an understanding that these types of experiences trigger the expansion of consciousness and awareness.  The types of experiences one undergoes during a psychic or kundalini awakening can be mind-bending. When no one in your immediate circle has had a similar experience or is knowledgeable about the process, it can be isolating, and with certain entities, a bit scary to say the least. Jonas started seeing angelic beings and others we don't normally identify. He talks about how odd he felt and worried that he might be going crazy. I was thrilled when I saw his film. Already comfortable with my interactive nightlight relationship and the paranormal anomalies that triggered, some of the extraordinary events he documented are similar to the additional mind-blowing encounters I experienced during the spring of 2009. His documentary, Wake Up, chronicled his search for understanding and deeper meaning after undergoing a crazy spiritual awakening. The film opened at South By Southwest Film Festival and would became the premiere episode for Oprah Winfrey's award winning Super Soul Sunday. Jonas Elrod is a southern writer and director, grew up in GA with a deep appreciation for story as a means for change. His first documentary feature is Wake Up, which premiered at South by Southwest Film Festival. Wake Up found a wide audience in theaters across the country and was the premier episode on the Emmy award winning Super Soul Sunday on the Oprah Winfrey Network.
