This week on All the Feelings, Pete and Tommy explore the emotional aftershocks of being needed… and then suddenly not. Pete reflects on launching two adult kids into the world and discovering that successful parenting feels a bit like getting laid off from a beloved job—complete with pride, grief, and way too much free time. One minute you're managing snacks and carpool, the next you're wondering if your adult child has remembered to eat or just sent you a meme so you'll stop asking.Meanwhile, Tommy confronts his own dependence issues—namely, a rescue dog named Foster who once had its way on a stranger's sandals at the beach. It's an emotional support animal that mostly needs support for being an emotional menace. And it raises the question: how much of our identity is tied to how our dependents behave in public? Also: a theft that leads to a 911 call, a rogue Capri Sun on a soccer field, and the quiet horror of realizing your purpose has been reassigned. If you've ever cared too much, let go too slowly, or blamed yourself for your dog's personality, this one's for you.Become a Feeling Friend!Help us keep the precinct weird: allthefeelings.funGet early access, bonus content, stickers, and the satisfaction of supporting emotional democracy for only $35 a year. When a schoolteacher's borrowed BBC computer began displaying mysterious messages from a 16th-century scholar and beings from the year 2109, it sparked one of England's most bewildering paranormal cases.Join the DARKNESS SYNDICATE: https://weirddarkness.com/syndicateIN THIS EPISODE: In Victorian London, a grisly murder case involving Maria and Frederick Manning shocked society and caught the attention of Charles Dickens himself. What began as a love triangle turned into a chilling tale of greed, betrayal, and murder, culminating in a public execution that would challenge the very nature of capital punishment in Great Britain. (The Murderous Mannings) *** In 1720, amidst a perilous pirate attack on the Atlantic, a newborn's cry changed the course of destiny. Ocean-Born Mary, christened by buccaneers and gifted with a bolt of green silk, would grow from a maritime legend into a symbol of courage and resilience in colonial New England, her extraordinary birth weaving a tapestry of fact and fiction that continues to captivate imaginations centuries later. (A Pirate's Godchild, Ocean-Born Mary) *** On the morning of June 20, 2001, Andrea Yates shocked the nation by drowning her five children, one by one, in the family bathtub. Years of untreated mental illness, compounded by religious fanaticism and postpartum psychosis, culminated in this unimaginable tragedy. Was it the work of a tortured mind, or something darker at play? (Did The Devil Make Her Do It?) *** Deep in the ancient folds of the Appalachian Mountains, where time seems to slow and shadows linger, legends have taken root for millennia. These peaks have become a breeding ground for supernatural tales that blend seamlessly with the landscape. The sheer age and untamed nature of Appalachia have given birth to a rich tapestry of myths, from the Mothman, to ghosts, to the Devil himself. (Modern Mythology and Ancient Appalachia) *** In the heart of Preston, Ladywell Street is infamous for a chilling spectral presence capable of shifting forms—from eerie footsteps to a blood-soaked apparition known as the Bannister Doll. Once a beautiful young woman, Dolly Bannister met a tragic death at the hands of her father, a punishment for a crime she didn't commit. Now, her restless spirit seeks retribution, haunting the streets and striking fear into anyone who dares to cross her path. (The Haunting of Ladywell Street) *** In 1984, a sleepy English village became the unlikely stage for a mind-bending mystery when a schoolteacher's computer began receiving messages from a man claiming to be from 1546. As past and present collided through a BBC Micro, Ken Webster and his friends found themselves entangled in a web of Tudor English, future prophecies, and inexplicable phenomena that would challenge everything they thought they knew about time and technology. Hey friend, Im so glad youre here! In case youre new to my little corner of the world, my name is Arlina and Ill be your host. If youre not new here, then you already know I love exploring tools and practices that support sobriety, spiritual growth, and mental health - all in an effort to help me change my behavior and ultimately feel better. The tool were talking about today is called Two Way Prayer and Father Bill W will be teaching us what it is, how it can benefit you and how to do it. You may have heard about this before through Elizabeth Gilbert who has a substack called Letters from Love but if you havent, I have come to understand this practice as a way of talking to, and getting answers from universal intelligence. Some people call that intelligence love, or god or source energy or higher self. What its called is not as important as what the practice delivers in terms of guidance and inspiration. So ever since my conversation with todays guest, Father Bill, I have been practicing 2 way prayer and the guidance Ive received has been quite profound. To be transparent, Ive been feeling pretty lost and super burned out. Ive been pushing myself way too hard for way too long. Thats a whole other story, but my request in the 2 way prayer journaling was along the lines of What would you have me do with my work? To my surprise, I got an answer! The answer was to allow myself to have a Self-Care Summer. To allow myself to rest, reset, and recharge. So thats what Ive been doing! Im doing a lot of yoga, weights, journaling, meditating, exchanging gratitude lists, consuming content around self-worth, money, business development, and generally allowing myself to be present for my life. All this to say, the tool of 2 way prayer is something I will continue to incorporate into weekly self-care practices and I have Father Bill to thank for it. I think youll get a lot out of this conversation and if you try the practice, I would love to hear about your experiences! So without further delay, please enjoy this episode with Father Bill. =J

The Milwaukee Bucks finally got another win over a top team, taking down the Denver Nuggets at home on Thursday night. Giannis Antetokounmpo unsurprisingly led the way, but Damian Lillard helped slam the door with a clutch 3 and all five Bucks starters plus Gary Trent Jr scored in double figures. Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti discussed the nice win and what it means for the Bucks, plus Milwaukee's gameplan against Denver and Doc Rivers' decision to stick with Taurean Prince as a starter despite the fact that he is apparently hurt. They also talked more Kyle Kuzma, who continues to impress with his defensive acumen and rim pressure.GSPN's Bucks podcasts are presented by PrizePicks – Go to PrizePicks.com/Gyrostep and use code Gyrostep for a $50 bonus when you play $5!
