We visited Protector Brewery the "1st Organic Beer in SoCal". We drank Organic Citra Juicy DIPA 8% and Organic SD West Coast Style IPA 6%. So many award-winning beers at Protector and we found out why. Angel brings up a why he doesn't take baths and why he refuses to go in pools and hot tubs during certain times of the day. He might have ruined it for Robert. Cheers. IG @beerbellysociety Tiktok @beerbellysociety Email beerbellysociety@gmail.com

For all the hype and hope over sustainability, the market share of organic beers remains small. Is it because consumers do not want to pay more for them? Or is it because other purchasing criteria like flavour, style and support for the community are still more important?

It's been 20 plus years since I remember first seeing pictures, reading articles, and watching videos from the 60's of a surfer named Joyce Hoffman. She may have been one of the first female surfers of her era implementing style in surfing. It's been more than 20 years and her name and the images of that iconic style are still engrained in my memory.Recently, I was interviewing Señor Dick Metz (episode 17), and he mentioned Joyce in the interview. Post interview, I asked if he knew of Joyce. His reaction was one of humorous confidence, sort of a level of disbelief that I would ask such a question. "She's my good friend, I call her Bubu". He proceeded to take out his phone and asked if I'd want to talk to her for a future interview. Mesmerized and with my eyes popped open like the surprised emoji, I said yes! A month later Joyce and I met at Surf Heritage and Cultural Center in San Clemente, CA. On this episode Joyce shares memories of her surfing story. She talks about her family, what it was like being a female surfer in the 60's, and her World Championships. Joyce tells us about being the first woman in California history to lifeguard its beaches and the first woman in the world to surf Pipeline. We also hear about how she dropped out of surfing and took on motocross and race car driving before coming back to surfing, thanks to her brother-in-law Herbie Fletcher.I want to thank Dick Metz, Barry Haun from SHACC and Joyce Hoffman for making herself available to talk about her surfing story and for providing context for a period of surfing history for those who were not there to experience it firsthand. Thank you to my listeners and sponsors! Together we've embarked on a surfing history journey with The Longboardarian Podcast. I hope that together we see it grow into a high quality, educational and entertaining podcast. One last thank you, to my lady. I call her The Executive Producer of Longboardarian. Good Day Everyone! On this special episode, Jeff Belzer and myself have a casual but in-depth discussion of what we saw in regards to the 2019 WSL Longboard Tour and their final main event in Taiwan.A lot of changes happened this year within the WSL LB Tour which was spearheaded by new tour director Devon Howard. In my eyes, the most exciting year for professional competitive longboarding. It was a question of time, on when these changes were finally going to be materialized. Changes were not of the liking of all competitors and viewers BUT I am confident that it was of the liking of most longboard heads around the world. We have seen a strong global movement towards a more classical approach of surfing longboards in the last 10 years give and take. Including more youngsters than ever taking on the art of longboard surfing to its roots. The WSL even got the "stamp of approval" of one of its most brash critics, longboard maestro and preservationist Joel Tudor. He showed this by participating in one of the WSL main events.I hope you enjoy our conversation. Please share with others and don't forget to give us a rating or feedback in which ever platform you are using to listen to our episodes.Nos vemos en el agua! Dr. Jekyll's is a truly unique and incredibly tasting organic craft beer brewed and infused with exotic spices and super foods to create a "truly odd, yet oddly delicious!" beer. Or as some would say, "beer with benefits" that tastes awesome! Born in Vermont, Brewed in California.Dr. Jekyll’s was conceived in the heart of an old constable station turned brewery in Brattleboro, Vermont by three longtime friends united by their love of great beer and active, healthy lifestyles: Tom Costa, an avid home brewer, former paratrooper and entrepreneur, his high school friend Jimmy Triantafillou, a scientist and natural bodybuilder, and Ray McNeill, an award-winning master brewer. After Ray suffered a serious health setback, these friends were inspired to craft beers that not only tasted great, but had something special about them, something with a greater purpose - to be shared with the world - and so was born Dr. Jekyll’s.

Emails This Week:Patrick: a couple of clips on youtube on this guy, Gorgeous George Galloway. He's a British MP and he has a terrible case of truth-tell-itis. This is a 4 min clip of him addressing a Senate subcommittee. Here is is the extended 45 min clip.I'm kind of hopping on the Ron Paul bandwagon, at least through the primaries.
