De civiele rechtszaak tegen Sywert van Lienden en zijn compagnons Bernd Damme en Camiel van Gestel rondom de 'mondkapjesdeal' met de overheid is van start gegaan. Uit communicatie van de drie blijkt dat ze er in een vroeg stadium al op uit waren om zelf te worden van de deal. De drie zouden 'nooit meer geldzorgen' hebben nadat de deal doorging en zeiden tijdens de onderhandelingen dat wat er besproken werd 'grenzend aan vooropgezette fraude' leek. "Het zijn oplichters. Of ze de overheid nou hebben opgelicht of niet, ze hebben de bevolking een rad voor ogen gedraaid", reageert Angela de Jong, recensent bij het AD. Sywert en zijn compagnons wilden 'gillend rijk' worden van de deal, waar Nederland waarschijnlijk oké mee was geweest als ze er eerlijk over waren, denkt De Jong. Hoe het heeft uitgespeeld, "deugt van geen kant." Journalist Hugo Logtenberg kijkt uit naar de uitspraak van de rechter. "Deze tv-persoonlijkheid en zijn compagnons hadden niet de beste bedoelingen", stelt Logtenberg. De Jong verwacht niet veel goeds voor de toekomst van Van Lienden. “Hij komt nooit meer aan de bak, zelfs als hij in z'n gelijk wordt gesteld. Niemand neemt hem meer serieus. Ik snak naar gerechtigheid en dat hebben we al wel een beetje gekregen." Peter Jansen, hoogleraar Migratie, vindt het vooral kwalijk dat de drie tijdens de 'meest kwetsbare periode' van de recente geschiedenis ervoor kozen om dat te misbruiken. En daar heeft de samenleving al een oordeel over. "Dat volksgericht heeft al plaatsgevonden." Verder hebben we het in het mediaforum over de laatste opname van De Slimste Mens met Philip Freriks en Maarten van Rossem, een tweet van VVD-Kamerlid Ulysse Ellian en een motie van VVD-Kamerlid Bente Becker. Klaus-Peter Jansen von der "it‘s OWL Clustermanagement GmbH" und der "OstWestfalenLippe GmbH" habe ich in meinen Jobsucher-Podcast eingeladen, weil er sich mit so vielen, spannenden Themen beschäftigt. Mit dem Unterschied zwischen Bären und Menschen in der Berufsberatung. Zum Beispiel. Da kann man schon mal neugierig werden. Ein weiterer, wichtiger Grund, war ein Zitat von Jean-Luc Picard, das im Xing-Profil des 45-jährigen gleich ganz oben steht. Dass es sich bei dem Star-Trek-Zitat um ein Auswahlkriterium allererster Güte handelt, stellte ich im im Laufe unseres Gesprächs fest. Ich sollte mit gutem Beispiel voran gehen und das öfter so machen. :-) Als nette Überraschung kam dann während der Aufnahme noch heraus, dass mein Interviewpartner auch ein Personalentscheider ist. Da konnten wir natürlich noch mal etwas tiefer in die Bewerbungsprozesse einsteigen. Wobei ich zugeben muss, dass ich ein bisschen Muffensausen hatte, am Schluss die Frage aller Fragen zu stellen: "Welche Rolle spielen persönliche Kontakte und Netzwerke im Rekrutierungsprozess?" Wie Du siehst, erwartet Dich hier eine ungewöhnliche Podcast-Episode mit einem - so viel kann ich vorab schon verraten - richtig schönen Happy End.

About 90 minutes drive east of Amsterdam towards the German border you'll come to the city of Apeldoorn. If you turn south-east and drive along the Apeldoornse Kanaal you'll soon come to the village of Eerbeek. In the summer it is still full of campers, people of walking or cycling holidays. The village has a railway station and parked in the siding in the summer of 1995 were two strange looking coaches. They used to ride around in the days of the German Democratic Republic. Now they're home to a new satellite station called Radio London. Peter Jansen is the director and sitting inside the carriage I asked him to explain the name. The music on the new Radio London though is very different. It is world music. Look at the countries that have a beach looking out onto the Atlantic ocean and you have some idea of the music now being broadcast..world music from Africa and Latin America, reggae, rhythm and blues, and album tracks from the years 1965 to 85. The station later changed its name to Q Radio and moved from the train to a ship in the Ijsselmeer polder before closing down due to lack of funds. But it was fun while lasted. This programme also has a review of a Grundig Yacht Boy receiver and there is DX news from the late Arthur Cushen MBE.
