The crew are all here with Super Marcey, Bede Jermyn, Prof Batch and Kollin for our first Patreon Voted Pick of the year! That's right, once again we gave the Patreons the power to vote on the film to watch on the show, many thanks Patreons for voting. Kollin had the honour of choosing four films for the poll, the winner (and this comes as no surprise) of the poll by a landslide is Babe Watch: Forbidden Parody (1996)! 2024 is certainly shaping up to the year of Boobie Fair!Babe Watch: Forbidden Parody was written and directed by Rick Sloane, it stars Raelyn Saalman, Tane McClure, Ashlie Rhey, Steven Todd Lange, Geoffrey Hughes, Christopher Tichy, Kelli Hoffman and Steven Johnson. If you have never listened to a commentary before and want to watch the film along with the podcast, here is how it works. You simply need to grab a copy of the film or load it up on Tubi (you may need alcohol), and sync up the podcast audio with the film. We will tell you when to press and you follow along, it is that easy! Because we have watched the films on Tubi, it is a free service and there are ads, however we will give a warning when it comes up, so you can pause the film and provide time stamps to keep in sync.Highlights include:* Thanks for voting Patreons!* Oh my gosh, there's valley girls in Babe Watch!* Are those Lex Luger's track suit pants?!* Oh my gosh, where's my bikini's?* Who took all the mushrooms?* Oh my gosh, look at that Brock beefcake!* Bede fails with so many jokes but some do land, he's getting better!* Oh my gosh, look at my sexy bikinis!* Plus much, much more!Check out The Super Network on Patreon to gain early access to The Tubi Tuesdays Podcast!DISCLAIMER: This audio commentary isn't meant to be taken seriously, it is just a humourous look at a film. After Julie (Elizabeth Caitan)is assaulted by some college classmates, she is persuaded to visit the neighborhood Necromancer, with the exotic name of Lisa, to exact bloody and extraordinarily odd vengeance on her wrongdoers. With cheesy dialogue, bad acting, and special effects done by a team who were probably learning as they went, NECROMANCER is basically an I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE-type story, if it were done by Rick Sloane or David DeCoteau. I'd only just learned of this one a few years back, as it was out of print and hard to find before Vinegar Syndrome gave it the star treatment by putting it out on Blu-ray. As a little Australian tyke, it was a multiple renter for The Thunder from Down Under, who was elated to share his thoughts on the cinematic cheese wheel. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/blindragepod/message

With the help of Becky Darke and Mike Muncer (listen out for their cameos) we've managed to get this episode together and hope to be back up to speed and full health for next weeks banger. Enjoy! Rick Sloane made a movie about mind controlling puppets. MST3K made fun of it. It entered into the horror consciousness. 2021 saw us watch it and talk about it. Honestly - It wasn't the worst movie we've watched. It certainly didn't get boring. Stay a while and LISTEN! wegiveyoubrainworms.com

We may wander off topic a bit, but we think you'll be entertained!Unfortunately we couldn't find photos of all the childhood costumes we discussed, but we will share a few other pictures. For our Sensor Sweep, we throw it open to Mr. Lobo, and he is a busy man! This month he'll be hosting three pop up drive in shows at the Vintage Cafe, on the 8th,15th, and 22nd in Paradise, Pennsylvania. FANS: Rick Sloane--writer, producer and director of 80s and 90s cult classics--joins CF3 this week to discuss the films that influenced him, casting Mary Woronov in Blood Theater, meeting Roger Corman, and so much more. FILMS: The double feature returns! With Rick Sloane still in the house, we uncover the truth about Hobgoblins (1988). How did it wind up on MST3K? What's the deal with that rake scene? Did Rick almost die while making it? And what would each of us fantasize about if we were blindsided by a pack of vicious hobgoblins? Then comes our arresting review of Vice Academy. Charlie Sheen set visits, Linnea Quigley's agent, the sordid history of USA Up All Night, and the Vinegar Syndrome Blu-ray release are all covered. It's better than a knee to the nuts! FINDS: You're on your own this week. Next time, you won't be so lucky!
Exploring the 1988 cult classic "Hobgoblins" with help from creature creator Kenneth J. Hall. Kenneth made the actual hobgoblin puppets used in this film and he has worked on several of the classic creature films from the past 3 decades. Join us as we take a deep dive into Rick Sloane's odd little film. Find Kenneth online at https://www.totalfab.com
Rick Sloane is the filmmaker behind such movies as Hobgoblins (and likewise the MST3K episode featuring it), Blood Theatre , and the Vice Academy series. In this discussion, we get into the challenges of filmmaking with few resources, as well as the differences between film school and the real world. See show notes at www.AaronBossig.com
The boys take on all the girls in the 80's Police Academy skin comedy Vice Academy (1989) directed by Rick Sloane and starring Linnea Quigley, Ginger Lynn, Karen Russell, and Karen Russell. Is there a police academy that allows cadets to arrest people before graduation? How could a sex comedy be so unfunny and so not sexy? How did this movie wrap itself up and then keep going for another 45 minutes? All these questions and more are answered this week! Hosts Ryan and Blake sit down with guerilla director and master of the Hollywood low-budget movie, Rick Sloane, best known in “Mystery Science Theater 3000” circles for his 1988 horror flick, “Hobgoblins.” The Podcast Gang reads viewer mail in “The Feedback Loop,” and tries to decide how to best rank the strange and wonderful (and occasionally terrible) sodas they taste each week. The Gang debuts a new segment, “Cheesy Movies We’d Like to See Riffed.” This episode’s discussion – “Turkish Star Wars,” or “Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam (The Man Who Saved the World).” In the “Mini Soda Review,” Host Greg introduces the others to a staple of Japanese summer, Ramune Lychee Soda, as well as the eccentricities of the drink’s Codd-neck bottle. Mostly, Ryan wants to smash the bottle for the glass marble. In “Reviewers in the MSTie,” James braves, “Fire Maidens of Outer Space.” A movie so bad, James shoots his Old Timey Pianer Player Rummy – who plays in the background music – to spare Rummy the misery. (This podcast does not represent Alternaversal, Shout Factory or the Kickstarter campaign in any official capacity). EDITOR’S NOTE: In June 2019, this podcast merged with the Damn Dirty Geeks Podcast and became The Damn Dirty Drive-in. These are our classic back catalog episodes, dating back to March 2016. Please enjoy! The new Drive-In podcast opens for business with original sketches, movie discussions, interviews, weird food tastings and more at Episode 168.
