Two movies for the price of one! This week we're lumping two flicks together for one high-quality episode, with returning guest Jed Shepherd (HOST)! We're talking about 1992's BODY SNATCHERS knockoff SEEDPEOPLE, one of our last films from Full Moon's golden era, and then we're transitioning to an oddball Kushner-Locke era film from David DeCoteau, 1997's SHRIEKER! THIS WEEK: A Magic Christmas (2014), A Christmas Eve Miracle (2015) and A Husband for Christmas (2016)Somewhere along the line, noted shirtless hunk afficionado David DeCoteau was co-opted into the bland holiday film industry. This merits our attention. Steven Paul doesn't merit anyone's attention, but we're still talking about him. The stars are all here: Vivica A. Fox! Eric Roberts! Burt Reynolds! Jon Voight! And half of them are voicing vestigial dog narrators!Donate to Palestinian Medical Aid Support Optimism Vaccine on Patreon
It's week three of DeCoteau DeCember on The Blind Rage Podcast! For this installment, we're kicking back to watch one of David DeCoteau's many, many Full Moon features, 1999's WITCHOUSE. This micro budget quickie follows a group of post-adolescents, who receive an exclusive invitation to attend a party thrown by Elizabeth, a former classmate with a reputation for pulling bizarre pranks and harboring an unnatural interest in the occult. She has chosen each guest carefully, as their ancestors assisted in the demise of Lilith, a witch killed in a fiery blaze centuries before. Tonight, Lilith's demonic spirit has been resurrected…and the taste of revenge is fresh on her lips.
DeCoteau DeCember continues on The Blind Rage Podcast! For week two, we're taking a look at David DeCoteau's 1989 MURDER WEAPON, starring and co-produced by the legendary Linnea Quigley. This thinly-plotted quickie is probably the goriest of David's many films and truly showcases his desire to exploit hard-bodied men, who spend most of the movie running around in no more than Speedos and short shorts. MURDER WEAPON also carries a bit of cult cache for featuring SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT 2's Eric Freeman (credited here as Damon Charles), in his first feature post “Garbage day!”
It's DeCoteau DeCember on The Blind Rage Podcast! All month long, we're celebrating cult filmmaker David DeCoteau! The festivities kick off with 1988's NIGHTMARE SISTERS, starring the legendary Linnea Quigley, Brinke Stevens, and Michelle Bauer. The trio of Scream Queens play nerdy sorority sisters who stumble upon a crystal ball, which inhabits the spirit of an evil psychic medium. After a few spells, incantations, and a little bibbity-bobbity-boo, the sisters go from geek to sheik, with a lust for…well, let's just say the male form.
This week, we're taking on DREAMANIAC the mainstream film debut of David DeCoteau, one of Charles Band's most important collaborators and maybe the most prolific filmmaker of all time. Alex Ayling from Evolution of Horror joins us for this weird, murky Wizard Video release about a demonic succubus that features maybe the strangest twist we've yet encountered. Hosted by Jarrod Hornbeck and Steve Guntli Theme song by Kyle Hornbeck Logo by Doug McCambridge Email: puppetmasterscastlefreaks@gmail.com Instagram/Threads: @puppetmasters_castlefreaks YouTube: @PuppetMastersCastleFreaks Next week's episode: Backlash: Oblivion 2

Jim and Patrick discuss two nudity-heavy films in the incredibly controversial Tinto Brass-Malcolm McDowell-Helen Mirren-Peter O'Toole-John Gielgud Italian-American Penthouse Films production Caligula, as well as one of two '80s sex comedies by director David DeCoteau to star the big three scream queens: Linnea Quigley, Brinke Stevens, and Michelle Bauer.
THIS WEEK: Dreamaniac (1986), Batas Impian Ranjang Setan AKA Satan's Bed (1986), Night Killer (1990), and Mahakaal AKA The Monster (1994)Knockoff month has been a dream, but sometimes you eat a supreme pizza just before bed -- and the dream curdles into nightmare. A nightmare not unlike what transpires when Wes Craven's masterpiece is entrusted to schlock-peddlers around the globe -- and David DeCoteau.Donate to Palestinian Medical Aid Support Optimism Vaccine on Patreon
He's Back x3! We've got the return of Seth, Robert, and director David DeCoteau all in one episode. In a film that Brandon thought was space related, we instead end up in a post-apocalyptic, secret alien-run arctic cadet training base, with tons and tons of shirtless dudes and boobs to go around. What are Seth's true thoughts on our season-long sponsorship? Does this movie invoke famous directors like Ridley Scott, Stanley Kubrick, the Wachowski sisters, etc.? And how does a time-share guessing game point system work? Tune in this week to find out all this and more, but only on "The Good, The Bad, & The Movies"! P.S. THIS WEEK: Creature (1985), Creepozoids (1987), Shocking Dark AKA Terminator II (1987)Knockoff Month has jumped from fake Terminators to a scene-for-scene ripoff of Aliens (1986) inexplicably marketed as a Terminator sequel in Italy. Speaking of beloved knockoff auteurs, David DeCoteau once again makes his mark on the pod with the only Alien ripoff where Linnea Quigley takes a lengthy shower during an apocalyptic drought. Finally, we cover William Malone's Creature (1985) because we figured at least one of these Alien knockoffs should be set in space and feature Klaus Kinski eating a sandwich. On this episode we dive deep into the classic Troma title SURF NAZIS MUST DIE. One of the most legendary exploitation films of all time we go left foot first (Because goofy footing cannot do!) into a movie often looked over because of its title, the company that released it, and that fact that it is PURE exploitation. This film is a gem and we hope you enjoy this UNCUT and UNCENSORED Summer School episode. The following episode is totally uncut and, oh I would say, 97% as close to as what it sounded like the moment we recorded. A little bit of editing was done on this episode and I am sure you can tell where, but it mostly is the entire uncut conversation. THIS WEEK: Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama (1988), Nightmare Sisters (1988), Leeches! (2003)Shawn Glinis has never seen a single David DeCoteau movie about shirtless hunks taking showers. Just don't use green)1 big jalapeño, chopped. (Use a serrano if you need more heat and want people to think you're interesting)2 and 1/2 cups beef stock (maybe 3. "You will cry me mercy, and I will have none." This week, continuing with a look at some David DeCoteau films, Alexis and Kevin talk about the delightful PUPPET MASTER III: TOULON'S REVENGE
This week, we're looking at the seamy underbelly of the Full Moon Empire, the short-lived softcore porn label Torchlight! One of the first efforts (certainly one of the most provocatively named) was TEST TUBE TEENS FROM THE YEAR 2000, aka VIRGIN HUNTERS. Directed by David DeCoteau and starring Morgan Fairchild, this campy skin flick tries to add some sexiness to a goofy TERMINATOR parody. Hosted by Jarrod Hornbeck and Steve Guntli Theme song by Kyle Hornbeck Logo by Douglas McCambridge Email: puppetmasterscastlefreaks@gmail.com Next week's episode: Piranha Women
Comedians Zahid Dewji and Karla Watkins join Zac Amico as they both grin and endure yet another disastrous deviation from the infamous David DeCoteau. Brandishing a sprawling cast of four whole actors, including TV's Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin), this film chronicles the perilous fate of four teenagers who happened upon the wrong Canadian park. With nothing but still water from a radioactive lake, and an enraged mama bear in pursuit of vengeance, they must fight to make it out alive. Written by Arne Olsen, and buried in the depths of Amazon Prime, it's none other than “Grizzly Rage” from 2007.Air Date: 04/14/22Support Our Sponsors!Fans over the age of 21, visit YoKratom.com for all your Kratom needs. After Julie (Elizabeth Caitan)is assaulted by some college classmates, she is persuaded to visit the neighborhood Necromancer, with the exotic name of Lisa, to exact bloody and extraordinarily odd vengeance on her wrongdoers. With cheesy dialogue, bad acting, and special effects done by a team who were probably learning as they went, NECROMANCER is basically an I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE-type story, if it were done by Rick Sloane or David DeCoteau. I'd only just learned of this one a few years back, as it was out of print and hard to find before Vinegar Syndrome gave it the star treatment by putting it out on Blu-ray. As a little Australian tyke, it was a multiple renter for The Thunder from Down Under, who was elated to share his thoughts on the cinematic cheese wheel. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/blindragepod/message
FINALLY - the return of Mathius the iLL. MCH is back with a fun "tribute" to Alien. This episode we review Full Moon Pictures very own "Creepozoids" from 1987, directed by David DeCoteau. This one was fun to watch. Really low budget and you can see just how low with all of the horrible b-roll, and repeat sets.Linnea Quigley's first crack at producing, and with her as a main character, we get to see LOTS of Linnea Quigley - as per usual.Great practical effects, lots of blood and guts. Come check it out with us!
On today's episode, we're heading over to the bowling alley to go steal a trophy and go see our not so favorite Uncle Impie, while we revisit the sleazy late 80s cult classic, Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama (1988). This movie was directed by David DeCoteau and written by Sergei Hasenecz. This movie stars Linnea Quigley (Graduation Day, Silent Night, Deadly Night), Robin Rochelle (The Slumber Party Massacre, American Ninja 4: The Annihilation), Brinke Stevens (Slave Girls from Beyond Infinity, Nightmare Sisters), and Michelle Bauer (Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers, Evil Toons). For this episode, I'm joined by my absolute favorite hot mess twink, Pickens Barringer. We talk about him meeting the absolute goddess that is Felissa Rose, a brief history on the direct to video movie market of the 80s, and just talking about this stupid, stupid movie! This film is a perfect example of a "so bad it's good" movie, although I don't know how much I'd agree with that. If you're into bad movies and maybe slightly offensive jive-talking puppets, this might be just up your alley.NOTE: Pickens decided that he needed to show us all how to properly breathe in and out to maintain homeostasis, so you'll hear him breathing throughout the episode. If that's a problem for you, I have plenty of other episodes for you to listen to.Intro/Outro Music: "Phantom Fun" by Jonathan BoyleShow E-Mail: cultcinemacircle@gmail.com Follow Pickens on InstagramFollow Cult Cinema Circle on Instagram, Twitter, and Letterboxd Hosted on Acast. Deliver The Profile goes gay with "A Good Husband", an episode about a man who leaves torsos in the local gay community in order to...something. Look, it's a really bad episode, with some of the worst acting this side of a David DeCoteau joint, so just listen to the show and find out for yourself.
Month two of Halloween Hustlin' begins here and we inch ever so closely to reviewing porn. Nightmare Sisters is a straight to video film from David DeCoteau and starring Linnea Quigley, Brinke Stevens and Michelle Bauer. A staple of late night shows like Up All Night on the USA Network, will it hit for the Hustlers in 2022? Let's find out together! Also in the episode we talk about the Spice Girls, Barney, Cameron drops knowledge on fraternities, we laugh at the greatest scene from Teen Witch and we learn that Cameron is DEFINITELY not into bondage. Six strapping young male virgins enroll in a mysterious, exclusive Bible college led by the intimidating Rev. Carmichael. His sect, the “Neurocystic Christianity Church”, preaches that advanced technology will bring the human race closer to God consciousness. His pièce de résistance is an electromagnetic confessional that doesn't just forgive sins — it harvests soul energy for an insidious purpose. It's a very ambitious exposition considering most of the film is just long shots of the boys writhing around in matching white designer underwear. This cinematic vision could only come from the mind of one man — director David DeCoteau, who has 177 directing credits to his name in genres such as gay softcore porn, straight softcore porn, kids' movies, and Lifetime movies. The range! Here to help us try to make sense of the theological backbone of Neurocystic Christianity is none other than Trans Regret Snoopy, a regularly appearing guest of ours who really knows her scripture and usually does not go out of her way to watch smut. On this edition of Parallax Views, July 4th is just around the corner. What better way to celebrate than hitting the beach! Of course, if you're not careful in that water you could get munched up by a shark like in JAWS. Or worse... PIRANHA WOMEN! Piranha Women is the latest effort of Charles Band's long-running horror/fantasy/sci-fi factory Full Moon Features. It's also a return to said genre for it's director, the legendary independent filmmaker Fred Olen Ray. For a number of years now Fred has been working on TV, including making Hallmark Christmas movies with Chevy Chase and Lifetime thrillers. For him filmmaking is not merely some hobby, but a profession. Simply put, he's a working class filmmaker. Prior too much of his television work, Fred directed a great number of horror, sci-fi, action, and fantasy pictures during the VHS boom in the 1980s and a number of erotic thrillers during that genre's popularity in the 1990s. Among some of the cult classics Fred has directed are Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers, The Tomb, Biohazard, Cyclone, Evil Toons, Inner Sanctum (one of the most successful video rentals of the 99s), Beverly Hills Vamp, Witch Academy, Alienator, Deep Space, Star Slammer, Bad Girls from Mars, Mind Twister, Attack of the 60 Foot Centerfolds, Inferno, Possessed by the Night, and countless others. Through it all he's worked with such well-known actors as Ice-T, Don "The Dragon" Wilson, David Carradine, Sybil Danning, Martin Landau, Nightmare on Elm Street's Heather Langenkamp, Eric Roberts, Gunna Hansen (Leatherface in the original 1974 Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Morgan Fairchild, comedy movie legend Eddie Deezen, Bond girl Britt Ekland, Twin Peaks' Russ Tamblyn, Sid Haig, and many, many others. A monster kid that grew up on drive-in horror movies, Piranha Women marks Fred Olen Ray's returns to the type of fun genre fare that's made him a cult figure amongst cinema buffs. And it stars such beauties as Carrie Overgaard and Keep Chambers as the deadly titular fish women. In this conversation Fred and I discuss a number of topics including: - The secrets of indie filmmaking from matching shots to filming big name actors on a schedule - Working with classic actors like John Carradine, Aldo Ray, and Cameron Mitchell - The tricks he used to film the animated monster in the ambitious low-budget live-action horror Evil Toons - Working with Full Moon and thoughts on the promotional wizardy of Charles Band - Filming nude scenes with actresses - How to make films on low-budgets and tight-schedules - The craft of filmmaking - Orson Welles' cinematographer Gary Graves and his sabotaged film Moon in Scorpio - How he began working on Hallmark and Lifetime movies; what TV networks expect out of him as a director and why he gets the job - Filmmaking as a job rather than a hobby - The killer ta-tas gag in Piranha Women - The rise and fall of the "Scream Queen" cycle of films in the 1980s directed by Fred, Jim Wyrnoski, and David DeCoteau starring actresses like Linne Quigley, Michelle Bauer, Brinke Stevens, and Kelli Maroney - Advice to young filmmakers and what Fred looks for in young filmmakers (including discussion of Fred's producer credits for Steve Latshaw's Jack-O, which was recently re-released on Blu-Ray by Fred's Retromedia company, and Henrique Couto's Bigfoot web-series Boggy Creek) - And much, much more!
