Jay plays the saddest scene in movie history. A father has to leave his son behind in "Riding In Cars With Boys" and it profoundly affects Big Jay. Bobby relates and almost cries as he tells tales of his troubled childhood in Boston. Jay watches a documentary about the Oklahoma City bombing and concludes that Jacob looks like a terrorist. He pulls up photos to prove it. If Jacob was granted a full head of hair, three inches of height, and fifteen years of youth, would he kill three thousand people to get it? Pete Davidson's dating history is reviewed in detail. Bobby has a crush on Jennifer Garner and Jay can't understand it. *To hear the full show to go www.siriusxm.com/bonfire to learn more FOLLOW THE CREW ON SOCIAL MEDIA: @thebonfiresxm @louisjohnson @christinemevans @bigjayoakerson @robertkellylive @louwitzkee @jjbwolfSubscribe to SiriusXM Podcasts+ to listen to new episodes of The Bonfire ad-free and a whole week early. Send us a Text Message. In part two of our Mother's Day Celebration, Nick & Bella discuss three more memorable mother characters. Claudine, starring the legendary Diahann Carroll, was a boundary-pushing film about a mother of six navigating the welfare system. The film also stars a sweaty, studly James Earl Jones. Actress Maggie Gyllenhaal knocked it out of the park with her directorial debut, The Lost Daughter. Join Bella as she explores the touchy but important themes in this Olivia Colman drama. Finally, another actress turned director: the great Penny Marshall's film Riding In Cars With Boys has a little bit of everything. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll dance - and you'll fall in love with Drew Barrymore all over again!Support the Show.Sign up for our Patreon for exclusive Bonus Content.Follow the podcast on Instagram @gimmethreepodcastYou can keep up with Bella on Instagram @portraitofacinephile or Letterboxd You can keep up with Nick: on Instagram @nicholasybarra, on Twitter (X) @nicholaspybarra, or on LetterboxdShout out to contributor and producer Sonja Mereu. Do you want to find success and personal growth? Follow a dream from Ontario, Canada to the country music scene of Nashville, and reach new heights in the process. Well, there are several ways to extend oneself and grow in knowledge and life-relevant ability, but this is how country music singer and songwriter Lisa McEwen did it. Join me as she tells her quite adventurous story of traveling from her hometown in Canada to Nashville with a dream, confidence and good support from her family. Please listen to the end, and find out what this journey did for her. Publishing deal? Success? Lessons learned? Much of what Lisa and I talk about can be relevant to not only musicians and songwriters, but also people outside of the music world. Lisa McEwen shares her story and her concept of "Music and Mindfulness", both of which parallell my thought process, my methods of training powerlifting, and meeting my goals in that sport. (Yet again I feel a sort of kinship with my guest!) There are many ways to realize inner peace and productivity, and Lisa and I compare our thoughts and ideas on that, as well as talk about the importance of and potential effects of meditation and/or prayer. The word POTENTIAL and its synonyms come up often during this podcast episode. Today, Lisa continues to write and perform her music, and her latest single RIDING IN CARS WITH BOYS can be found on Spotify HERE and at her music website HERE Lisa also offers a course which teaches you three steps to mindful songwriting. Check it out HERE. https://johnalanpod.com/ The Comin' Home Podcast With John Alan is available on all podcast platforms and on YouTube HERE #TheCominHomePodcastWithJohnAlan #MusicAndMindfulness #Potential

This week we dive into The Godfather. Was it too long? Was it amazing? Where did that horse head come from? Next week we will be reviewing Riding In Cars With Boys. We'd like to thank www.purple-planet.com for the music.
The extremely talented and versatile Heitor Pereira was kind enough to chat with me about his recent score for The Smurfs. The meat of the interview though is really focused on the collaborative process of telling story through music. Heitor has composed amazing music in scores like Running The Sahara, Haven and Illegal Tender. He's also been collaborating with Hans Zimmer for quite some time co-composing scores like Riding In Cars With Boys and It's Complicated with him. He's been the featured guitarist on many of Hans' scores such as Mission Impossible 2. This interview is definitely more of a conversation and it's one of the most interesting and informative ones I've had. Enjoy great inspired words from Heitor Pereira.
