Should the next Archbishop of Canterbury be a woman? Justin Welby resigned as leader of the Church of England earlier this year over his handling of historical abuse allegations. 2024 is coming to an end and I want to reflect and ask the questions if you are taking time to intentionally cultivate the self behind your business? I was inspired by the conversation by the book Finding Yourself by Sally Hope and I want to answer the question in this episode of who is yourself in your business? How are you cultivating your business and experience? I want to answer this by using the metaphors in the book of how a bonsai tree and snowflake are created and for you to tune into how you've created and lived through your business this year. What is Your Paradigm? Hello everyone on the last day of 2020! What a year. Did you ever think it would end? I didn't... lol On today's episode, I ask y'all if you've ever heard of setting a feeling for the year instead of a goal? I wasn't always familiar with this concept. It was introduced to me in 2017 by Sally Hope, my kundalini yoga teacher. The premise is instead of/or alongside with a goal or manifestation we are trying to call in or work towards in the New Year to also consider setting a feeling. A tone. Using a word to guide your year instead of/or with a goal. That year my word was "Surrender." That word taught me a lot. It taught me how to let go when I did all I could do. It helped me recognize the control I had in some areas and where some things were just out of my control. You don't have to pick a word this year, but if this concept is new to you and you'd like to try it, I'd say do it. I've actually had more success and better years picking words/feelings than goals and manifestations. Best of luck with your New Year! I'll talk to y'all again in 2021!

Today, I sat down with Sally Hope, a Life Coach, spiritual guide, and overall rock-n-roll superstar. Sally is no stranger to pain nor does she shy away from the hard subjects (which is why I love her so damn much). Sally’s story is multilayered and complex, and from the layers, she has built for herself a business and a passion for helping others through pain.  Through her coaching, writing, and online teaching, Sally gives us a glimpse into our darker sides, while also equipping us to make it through to the light. From her difficult childhood, the too-soon death of her father, and all the challenges of running your own business, Sally shares the parts of her story that are as real as they are inspiring.  Are you willing to check your preconceived notions at the door, and embrace life in all its realness? Do you want to hear stories of wild Montana living, epic rock-n-roll memories, and all the little pieces that make Sally’s story unique? Yeah? Come jump in. It’s a wild ride.   Listen in to hear Sally and I talk about: One of Sally's darkest moments, where she knew she could use her blogging platform to write about real life. Learning to accept extreme emotions and sometimes wanting to shine and other times needing to hide away and trying to balance the two when shades of grey don't come naturally. Vulnerability with the hard parts of childhood, and the grief over losing her dad including the abandonment she felt and still carries into relationships. The meaning behind the band name Poets and Pornstars (Sally was the bassist) and how it helped her further understand the human condition.   A close look at Sally's LOVE technique and other ways she equips others to heal and grow...including herself. http://yourkickasslife.com/125 This is a re-broadcast with Sally Hope, one of my favorite podcast guests. As many of you know my father passed away last month and I’m taking a break for a few weeks and re-airing archived episodes. I thank you for your patience during this time. Next week is a brand new episode! Another amazing edition of the YKAL podcast is upon us! I’m here with Sally Hope, founder of The Wildheart Revolution. I love Sally’s take on life and I’m sure you will too. In this episode we talk about several different important topics... In a recent blog post Sally talks about trying to please everyone and how to stop doing this. We discuss the gist of her post, how we’ve both learned to do our best of NOT caring so much if other people like us. Next we talk about LIFE PURPOSE and how to actually take the pressure off ourselves in our quest to finding it. (Because in actuality that pressure is keeping you from finding it!) Sally’s message screams to not apologize for who you are.We discuss that being your biggest self might mean having to leave some people behind and how to go about dealing with that.  One of Sally’s big things is going on adventures! I ask her where would someone start that doesn’t have a ton of time or money? This conversation segues into talking about friends (aka your tribe) and how to create that in your life. Sally has NEW ideas for you!  I’m just certain you’ll love Sally Hope as much as I do! She’s such a great inspiration full of love and authenticity. And get ready for next week for an all new episode!
