How I Discovered I was Being Stalked and Managed to Stay a Few Steps Ahead | Tips on Digital Hygiene It has been two weeks since I posted my first video. In these videos, I've been speaking up about being stalked for the last four years by my professor at UofT and senior leader at McKinsey & Co Canada, Scott Rutherford. By progress, I mean: 1) No one from the University of Toronto has reached out to me to address these concerns 2) There has been no action or investigation launched against Scott Rutherford, the professor at Rotman's School of Management and senior leader at McKinsey & Co Canada who has dedicated the last four years to stalking, terrorizing and intimidation tactics involving the RCMP 3) There's been no formal address, whatsoever, to speak to the unspoken cost of entry, being violence - especially against women, at the leading business school of Canada Rotman's school of management Make no mistake, I am not the first woman to experience violence at Rotman's School of Management, University of Toronto. I am however, the first to speak up about it because at this point, being silent (as many have callously suggested), will cost me my life. I have already survived four programs for women escaping violence before relocating to Portugal. Silence enables the abusers - who are celebrated, commemorated, and enabled to perpetuate more violence towards women, and vulnerable persons. While I had no choice in being the target of such a vicious and prolonged attack, I have never been the type to go "silently into the night." Recognize that there are other women who are enduring violence, who are reading your commentary, who are either gaining courage or losing hope based on the advice you chose to share. I will keep posting these videos until there is transparency, accountability, and traction in creating policy and establishing standards that protect women who are integrated into these programs. The inclusion and diversity that the University of Toronto boasts of having, carries little weight when the unspoken cost of entry is violence. That is not a price I ever agreed to pay. And I will not further enable a culture of violence against women at the Rotman's School of Management, by being silent about how my experience with their educators has disrupted and stolen the last four years of my life. #universityoftoronto #violenceprevention #stalking #professor Any questions? Speaking Up & Speaking Out About My 4-Year Strong Stalking Nightmare: UofT Professor & RCMP Officer I spoke out about how I've spent the last four years to-date getting stalked by my professor University of Toronto's Rotman's School of Management, Scott Rutherford. I was also vocal about meeting an RCMP officer who contributed to the silencing campaign, Alex Lamb. I spoke candidly about how the behaviours and actions of both of these influential and powerful men, were the reason why I cycled through four programs for women escaping violence, and moved abroad - where the stalking has continued. This video highlights some of the effects of that video being released. It has since been removed, and while I'm waiting on the appeal, do plan on reposting the video as soon as I can. I really appreciate all of your support. #uoft #rotmanschool #rotman #escapingviolence #stalking #abuse #rcmp #abuseofpower #mckinsey Any questions? Scott Rutherford is an Associate Professor and the Executive Director of the Weider Foundation Leadership Development Lab at the Rotman School of Management. Prior to this, Scott was the Practice Expert on Leadership Mindsets and Capabilities at McKinsey & Company. Today’s discussion dives into the differences between happiness and joy, and why it’s important to focus and pursue joy instead of happiness. With so many leaders in very rewarding and prestigious positions, why is it that they’re so unhappy? Scott weighs in! Key Takeaways: Scott shares the difference between chasing happiness and chasing joy. Happiness is temporary, but joy is a much deeper feeling. It is a mood. We want independence, autonomy, and freedom. We are granted those things by working fulfilling jobs, but as we climb up the ladder to continue to strive for these core desires, we end up moving further and further away from it as all of our free time gets consumed in the work. How can you keep a pulse on your joy? It comes to deliberate thinking on what brings you meaning in life and being present with where you are. Millennials want to do meaningful work and companies are noticing this. They see that in order to make their staff happy, they have to bring more to the table than just a paycheck. Leaders can encourage their staff to experience joy by asking them meaningful questions about why they like the work that they do. Joy is a very personal thing, so each person is going to answer uniquely. Take that in and encourage them to keep pursuing their joy. Feeling blue was a sensation Scott Rutherford knew all too well. Looking blue too. For a boy with a bad heart, this was just part and parcel of his condition. To Scott, a change of heart was a matter of life and death.
Guest preacher Scott Rutherford preaches on World Mission Sunday about how even Abraham in the Old Testament was preaching the Good News.
And now for something completely different. Abe and Aaron are normally happy reviewing movies or providing commentaries, but here is a new kind of bonus episode: a legitimate film interview with filmmakers. Ben Peyser and Scott Rutherford are the directing duo behind the new film Ghost Team One, which will be released on October 11th theatrically and On Demand (find out how to see it HERE), and they were kind of enough to join Aaron and Abe for an exclusive interview about the making of the film from its inception up to its release. It helps that Ben and Scott were game to have fun with Aaron and Abe, while also providing some actual insight into the filmmaking process. Basically, everyone tried to have a good time, while providing some neat facts about a new movie.
