Chevy's Equinox entered its fourth generation for the 2025 model year and moved away from the car-like styling of the previous generations. Instead, Chevrolet pushed the latest Equinox in the same truck-and-SUV-inspired direction as the rest of its latest Traverse. This more upright styling gives the latest Equinox a more aggressive direction. The latest Equinox also joins the fleet of GM vehicles to add a massive screen to its cockpit, which also anchors the interior. Despite the overhauls inside and out, Chevrolet stuck with the 1.5-liter turbocharged I4 from the previous generation, which feeds either a continuously variable transmission in front-wheel-drive models or an eight-speed automatic transmission when equipped with an all-wheel-drive system. On this episode of Quick Spin, Autoweek's Patrick Carone hops behind the wheel of the 2025 Chevy Equinox and puts it through its paces. Carone takes you on a guided tour of the 2025 Equinox and highlights some of his favorite features. Later, Carone takes you on a live drive review of the latest Equinox. Adding to these segments, Carone chats with host Wesley Wren about the Equinox, the competition, and more. Closing the show, the pair break down what makes the '25 Chevy Equinox special.

Episode 161In today's guest episode I will be discussing Shakespeare's characterisations of the lower classes and looking at the role they play with Stephen Unwin, who's book ‘Poor Naked Wretches' explores the variety of working people in Shakespeare's plays as well as a vast range of cultural sources from which they were drawn and argues that the robust realism of these characters makes them so much more than mere Comic Relief. Stephen Unwin is an award-winning British theatre and opera director. He has directed almost 100 professional productions and worked with many well-established actors and singers, as well as developing the careers of many younger ones. He studied at the University of Cambridge. In the 1980s Stephen worked at the Almeida Theatre, London, the Traverse in Edinburgh, in repertoire theatre and at the National Theatre Studio. In 1993, he founded English Touring Theatre, for whom he directed more than 30 productions of classical and new plays, many of which transferred to London. In 2008, he became Artistic Director of the new Rose Theatre in Kingston, which he ran until January 2014. He has worked extensively at the Theatre Royal Bath and has directed more than 20 operas. Ten of his productions have been seen in the West End.Stephen has taught in conservatoires and universities in Britain and America and written 10 books on theatre and drama, including ‘Poor Naked Wretches'. He has also written five original plays: ‘All Our Children' was premiered at Jermyn Street Theatre in 2017 and staged in New York in 2019, and ‘Laughing Boy' opened at Jermyn Street in 2024 and also played at the Theatre Royal Bath. Stephen is a campaigner for the rights and dignities of learning-disabled people and ‘Beautiful Lives: How We Got Learning Disabilities So Wrong', is published by Wildfire Book in June 2025.This is only a shortened version of Stephen's achievements and I would encourage you to visit his website for much more information. This week in Mapping the Zone: Movement appears stalled. Not only do we remain with the Traverse household, but the only motion to be found is that of the mind. Born and raised in the heart of the Pyrenees, Kilian Jornet is the GOAT of mountain running and skimo, and he's an accomplished climber too. This past summer, Jornet used his extraordinary fitness and deep reservoir of mountain skills and savvy to tackle one of the greatest challenges of the Alps: a traverse of all 82 of the range's 4,000-meter peaks, solely by foot and bike. The fastest previous time for this link-up was 60 days. Jornet did it in 19. Cutting Edge host Jim Aikman interviewed Kilian Jornet about his “Alpine Connections” project—the preparation, the physiological and psychological challenges, and the real dangers of covering hundreds of kilometers of serious alpine terrain at speed, often alone. For context on the history of grand Alpine enchainments and commentary on Jornet's latest feat, Jim spoke with Colin Haley, elite climber and Chamonix resident; Buzz Burrell, one of the originators of the Fastest Known Time (FKT) movement; and Dougald MacDonald, editor of the American Alpine Journal. Is it mountaineering? Is it running? Whatever you think of a feat like this, it's undeniably at the cutting edge.

We recently purchased a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse LT AWD for testing. In this episode, we share our first impressions of the four-cylinder turbo engine, infotainment usability, and whether the Traverse works as a family hauler compared to the Kia Telluride, Toyota Highlander, Honda Pilot, and Hyundai Palisade. And, with recent hurricanes hitting the U.S., we discuss whether a flooded electric vehicle is more prone to becoming a fire hazard and if there are specific steps an owner should take to break in a hybrid car, truck, or SUV. It's baby watch month! It might be time to wash clothes and get baby's things together…but you won't catch Kelly packing her hospital bag until the day she needs to pack it. Lizz will be a little more prepared with Athleta jumpers in tow while Kelly will likely stick to her Lulu Align leggings. In the great eight of salads, Kelly and Lizz's favorites go for gold. Who will bring the medal home? Caesar, Greek, Cobb, Wedge, Caprice, Taco, Italian, or Goat cheese? Kelly was deterred from a shower cap too soon. She's sure it's going to be life changing and Lizz doubts she'll use it. Stay tuned for the 30-day report. Also in driveway dumps, Kelly has one more thing to say about Ballerina Farms—200 years ago, we all would have been trad wives and would have figured it out. Got pregnancy brain?
