Professor Bret Weinstein black pills me with his eerie insight of nefarious behaviour behind the scenes of the 2024 Presidential Election. With only a few days to go he explains to me how something might happen that nobody expects. Will it be Trump will it be Kamala? And how will the “Goliath” Deep State make sure it goes that way.And that's just before the election. There are still a few months to go between election and transfer of power. How I Discovered I was Being Stalked and Managed to Stay a Few Steps Ahead | Tips on Digital Hygiene It has been two weeks since I posted my first video. In these videos, I've been speaking up about being stalked for the last four years by my professor at UofT and senior leader at McKinsey & Co Canada, Scott Rutherford. By progress, I mean: 1) No one from the University of Toronto has reached out to me to address these concerns 2) There has been no action or investigation launched against Scott Rutherford, the professor at Rotman's School of Management and senior leader at McKinsey & Co Canada who has dedicated the last four years to stalking, terrorizing and intimidation tactics involving the RCMP 3) There's been no formal address, whatsoever, to speak to the unspoken cost of entry, being violence - especially against women, at the leading business school of Canada Rotman's school of management Make no mistake, I am not the first woman to experience violence at Rotman's School of Management, University of Toronto. I am however, the first to speak up about it because at this point, being silent (as many have callously suggested), will cost me my life. I have already survived four programs for women escaping violence before relocating to Portugal. Silence enables the abusers - who are celebrated, commemorated, and enabled to perpetuate more violence towards women, and vulnerable persons. While I had no choice in being the target of such a vicious and prolonged attack, I have never been the type to go "silently into the night." Recognize that there are other women who are enduring violence, who are reading your commentary, who are either gaining courage or losing hope based on the advice you chose to share. I will keep posting these videos until there is transparency, accountability, and traction in creating policy and establishing standards that protect women who are integrated into these programs. The inclusion and diversity that the University of Toronto boasts of having, carries little weight when the unspoken cost of entry is violence. That is not a price I ever agreed to pay. And I will not further enable a culture of violence against women at the Rotman's School of Management, by being silent about how my experience with their educators has disrupted and stolen the last four years of my life. #universityoftoronto #violenceprevention #stalking #professor Any questions? You may remember the show in 2001 on ABC called “The Mole.” Or maybe you're watching its reprise on Netflix, hosted by NPR's own Ari Shapiro. If you're unfamiliar, it's a reality competition where contestants work as a group to add money to a pot that only one of them will eventually win. Among the contestants is one person who has secretly been designated “the mole,” tasked with sabotaging the group's money-making efforts. Season two is currently airing on Netflix, and it features a Minnesotan. Contestant Muna Abdulahi joined MPR News host Cathy Wurzer to talk about her experience on the show — with no spoilers!

In Stefan's philosophy, leadership is a 360° approach - so you lead in every direction. The most important person you lead is always yourself. However, the second most important person is your boss. The inspiration for this episode comes from two customers who come from a history of classic top-down management. The concept of leadership has never been explicitly taught, and the idea of leading from the bottom up often remains undiscovered. Yet this approach can be extremely effective if it is wanted and consciously practiced by both sides. So how do you lead the person at the top? Are you perhaps even two steps ahead of your boss? In this episode, Stefan shares three valuable tips on how you can successfully shape this leadership dynamic. ––– Do you like the LEITWOLF® Leadership podcast? Some ways to be prepared for unexpected events

Is something holding you back from fully shining your light? Is there hidden resistance in your messaging? This week, I asked one of my clients how aligned she felt with her brand positioning, to which she said a solid 8 or 9. Sounds great, right?! My question was, how do we make this a 10? It turned out that her sticking point was around her authority – she felt she wasn't advanced enough in one aspect of her life, which was preventing her from thinking she could support her clients with their similar goals. She was hiding her light! You might wonder, if you are suffering with some of the symptoms with the things you want to help your clients with, does it make you a good person to help them? The answer is yes! When we find solutions that work for us and works for our clients, we continue to deploy these solutions in our own lives in order to achieve the outcome we desire. And sharing that personal journey and vulnerability is incredibly powerful. Guidance doesn't have to come from some guru who tells you they've done everything perfectly, prescribing strict steps that seems unrealistic. People want authenticity and relatability as they seek their results. When I started sharing here on Goals With Soul how being an overthinker was affecting my ability to manifest, it was a turning point for me. This really resonated with my listeners and I was asked when I was going to hold a manifesting workshop – this seemed crazy, how could I teach this when I spoke of how much I was struggling with it?! But there is such value in being just a couple of steps ahead as your clients seek guidance. The online coaching space is about connection and relatability. You don't have to have all aspects of your life fully in shape in order to be a mentor. It's OK to be authentic and to be vulnerable in the content that you share. Let your vulnerability exemplify the core message that you teach. Enjoy the listen! __________________________ If you're an ambitious and intuitive coach or healer who would like to articulate the value of your unique brilliance, DM the word “MAGIC” to @iamjo.ingram on Instagram, or email jo@iamjoingram.com for more details.

It was great to catch up with world renowned drummer/musician and educator, Clarence Penn to talk about pursuing his dream of a career in music, his life's journey, and operating and living his purpose. Of course we talked about music, and so much more. Clarence's bio: Clarence Penn is one of the busiest jazz drummers in the world, a leader of multiple bands, a composer, a prolific producer, and an educator.Since 1991, when he arrived in New York City, Penn has placed his unique blend of mega-chops, keen intellect, and heady musicianship at the service of a staggering array of A-list artists—a chronological short-list includes Ellis and Wynton Marsalis, Betty Carter, Stanley Clarke, Steps Ahead, Makoto Ozone, Michael Brecker, Dave Douglas, Maria Schneider, Luciana Souza, Richard Galliano, and Fourplay. Penn's impressive discography includes several hundred studio albums (including the Grammy-winning recordings 34th and Lex by Randy Brecker and Concert in the Garden and Sky Blue by Maria Schneider) representing a 360-spectrum of jazz expression, and he's toured extensively throughout the United States, the Americas, Europe, Japan, and Southeast Asia. He's composed music for films and commercials, and produced tracks for numerous singers in the pop and alternative arenas. He earned a “Ten Best of 1997” accolade from the New York Times for his first leader recording, Penn's Landing.A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, where he was a protégé of Ellis Marsalis, Penn is active as an educator and drum clinician. From 2004 to 2012, he taught on the faculty of the Banff International Workshop in Jazz and Creative Music. He's also served on faculty at the Stanford Jazz Workshop, the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome, Italy, and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Intensive Jazz Institute.Penn currently leads several ensembles. His most recent “rhythmically intoxicating” recording is 2014's “Monk The Lost Files”arrangements of the music of Thelonious Monk. Released on the Origin record lable, an amazing quartet comprising saxophonist Chad Leftkowitz-Brown, Pianist Gerald Clayton/Donald Vega, and bassist Yasushi Nakamura performing the music of Thelonius Monk with today's modern jazz sensibility. Near completion is a “world music” studio project of songs and instrumentals that melds background voices—including his own—with a world class band.Whether Penn is leading his own band or performing as a sideman, he brings to the table unfailing versatility and professionalism, an ability to find creative ways to interpret a global array of styles and idioms, and a stated intention “to play music that's warm and organic for the people and for myself.”His motto: “When people hear my name, I want them to think, ‘I don't know what band he's playing with tonight or what he'll be doing, but it's going to be good, it's going to be musical.'”

See the list for our entire lineup for SEASON 13 on our Letterboxd page!“The IMF is like Halloween, a bunch of grown men in rubber masks playing trick-or-treat.”Hunt Is Back, and He's Better Than Ever... ReallyIt's crazy that we're at the sixth film in the franchise and it's the best of the bunch. How does that happen? Likely, it's because Cruise has been driving this franchise not just as star but also producer from the start, but it's hard to dismiss the fact that writer/director Christopher McQuarrie returned. His sense of this story, these characters, and this world seems to fit hand to glove as much as Cruise does. Join us – Pete Wright and Andy Nelson – as we continue our Mission: Impossible series with McQuarrie's 2018 film Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Here's a hint at what we talk about. It's like they take all the greatest moments from the previous five films and find ways to integrate reworked versions of them into this film. It's fantastic. We walk through the various action beats in this film, starting with the over two-and-a-half minute single shot of Hunt and Walker doing a HALO jump into Paris. And it only gets better from there.Hunt is dealing with Solomon Lane again, but we're also adding John Lark into the mix. It's a bit of a mystery as to who he is, but... not really. It's hard to buy Lark, aka August Walker, as anything but villainous. Is it the way Henry Cavill plays him? Or is he just written that way? Regardless, he makes for a great villain and works exceptionally well in this franchise. There's also the return to Julia as a key part in Hunt's life. It plays well, and clearly is an important point to Hunt learning to navigate his life when it comes to saving the world vs. saving those he loves. That plays not only into Julia's story but also Ilsa, as clearly something is developing here with her in her return. All in all, it's a great film that shows insane stunt work by Cruise, a broken ankle, great characters, a thrilling and engaging story, and a mystery as to where it could go from here. We love it. We have a great time talking about it, so check it out then tune in. It never gets old interviewing your heroes. The bigger they are, the kinder and more focused on what's important they seem to have been. Steve all of that and more, and is one of the 9 people that inspired me to move to the US over 25 years ago. Between the two bands of the Brecker Brothers in 1992 and Steps Ahead back in 1986, there were nine musicians that changed my life forever and sent me on the mission I continue to be on today. I'm lucky enough to have now played with (except the bass players of course) all of those cats, and find myself in Steve's band Vital Information as it celebrates 40 years of existence. Here are our upcoming tour dates https://janekgwizdala.com/tour and I hope to get to meet some of you out on the road.Enjoy, Janek Get full access to Janek's Newsletter at janekgwizdala.substack.com/subscribe
Ashok Bhalla and Paul Murnane have the morning's top local stories from the WCBS newsroom.
From who Peter considers to be his favorite drummer in Weather Report, to how we can all improve our experience as musicians from the simplest adjustments of intent, Peter goes deep into some of the most important stops along the way of his decades-long musical journey. Steps Ahead, Weather Report, Stan Kenton, and Steely Dan all come up in our conversation as well as details on the importance of his relationship with bassist Marc Johnson and how he reveres studio legends like Jeff Porcaro and Jim Keltner. We also close the interview with a fantastic Will Lee story that showcases Pete's humility and sense of humor. I'm proud to call Peter a friend, honored to have called him a colleague and collaborator for many years, and I'm excited to be able to share this Sunday morning chat with you. Janek.
