This is a conversation with David Wood. A former pioneer of the smartphone industry David is now a full-time futurist speaker, analyst, commentator, and writer. His focus is on potential radical transformations in society and humanity - transformations enabled by accelerating technological disruption and mediated by social and political reaction. David is the author of RAFT 2035. The Roadmap to Abundance, Flourishing and Transcendence. In this episode, David and I discussed how to overcome the hurdles on our human journey to sustainable super-abundance; evolutionary fatalism, individualism, capitalism, cognitive biases, greed and power. We talked about how existential threats could be a catalyst for a positive shift in human mindset. David concluded with his vision of what true meaning and opportunity looks like in our longer future.
In this episode Ilyas and Shy discuss Freedom; if we can get it, if we need it, and what it really is. This leads them to ponder boundaries, solitude , meditation and the general physics of things (obviously with no real grasp of physics)

Welcome to another episode of Come To Your Senses with Carlos Jaime. Mr. Joe Donatelli returns yet again to represent the lowest of the lows in sports: The Cleveland Browns. We both watch the trailers for "Draft Day" starring Kevin Costner and "Transcedence" starring the mysterious Johnny Depp. Joe shares his thoughts on conspiracy theories, politics and finds humor in everything especially for his Browns. There is also a "News of the World" segment about a cheating, scumbag politician. The Browns, Mars, Mickey Rooney! Oh my! Please "COME TO YOUR SENSES!"
Who would've guessed that I would make the same mistake two episodes in a row? Like last week I forgot to score a trailer when I was reviewing it. Or at least I think I forgot to score it. Anyways if I did score it I'm pretty sure they'll match up but Transcendence gets a 4 out of 5. So moving backwards a little bit I review both Anchorman films along with the anime hit Akira! Afterwards I do the Box Office Report and the news. The Trailer Spot this week highlights How to Train Your Dragon 2, Transcedence, and Welcome to Yesterday in no particular order. Enjoy the show!
