Today's guest, Vince Antonucci, describes himself this way: "Personally, I have that typical story, told too many times: Guy grows up in home with Jewish mother and gambling addict father ... becomes a Christian in college by trying to prove the Bible isn't true ... leaves career in law to become a pastor ... Starts a church in Virginia Beach that grows from four people to hundreds ... leaves church in Virginia Beach to move to Las Vegas to start a church for people who work on and live around the Vegas Strip ... leaves church to write other people's stories.Yeah, it's kinda clichéd, but it's my story so…what can I do?"///Discover a fresh new podcast for ministry leaders full of raw encouragement plus insanely-practical tips and interviews.Subscribe now to LeaderShift and grab more free leadership resources at JonathanHerron.com and on all social media platforms @HighFiveJon!

Pastor Vince from Verve Church in Las Vegas joins us this Sunday to speak about what it looks like for us to live our life on mission! Luke 15:4-6, 4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn't he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.' “Oh, my anguish, my anguish! I writhe in pain. Oh, the agony of my heart! My heart pounds within me. I cannot keep silent.” (Jeremiah 4:19). They are senseless children; they have no understanding.” (Jeremiah 4:22). And God says, “If u will return, O Israel, return to me…” (Jeremiah 4:1) John 20:21, “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” He was sent to pursue God's senseless children who had wandered off. We are sent to pursue God's senseless children who have wandered off. As we enter into week 3 of the Corona Crisis, Vince Antonucci interviews Vegas Golden Knights Nick Holden and continues to offer a message of hope in the midst of life's challenges.
If we believe in Jesus, our mission should be to help other people believe in Jesus. But what does that look like when the people you're trying to reach, hate Jesus and everything He stands for? On Sunday, Vince Antonucci will help us learn why this can work. Vince is familiar with Champaign-Urbana because he attended law school at the University of Illinois. While there, Vince decided to try to prove that the Bible wasn't true. He ultimately failed that pursuit, and now his life is dedicated to teaching people about Jesus. Vince, his wife, Jen, and their two children now live in Las Vegas. They started Verve, a church for people who work on and live around the Vegas Strip—a church for those who don't like church. What was their primary way of reaching those lost?
Fly-swatter. Cinder block. Tattoo. These are just a few of the items that speaker, author, attorney, church pioneer, consultant and pastor Vince Antonucci employs when he speaks. You need not be a person of faith to appreciate, acquire and uncover the ‘cool tools’ that Vince, the Illustration Master, uses every week to deliver new, UNFORGETTABLE PRESENTATIONS!
In this episode of The Church Planting Podcast, planters Jeff Snodgrass, Clint Dupin, and Vince Antonucci discuss the value of and practical how-tos for raising the resources your church needs to get off on the right foot.

The worst four-letter word in the Kingdom is "they" or "them". In the Kingdom of God there is only us. Today we will dig into Paul's journey into 1st century Athens (Acts 17) and look at the shocking similarities to our own modern-day culture. Join us as we dig into what it means to be "church for the rest of us" as we celebrate Restore's 4th birthday and kick off our new series "Us & Us". "Two thousand years ago people thought God was for thePharisees. The Pharisees were the religious people who claimed moral superiority. Then Jesus showed up. And EVERYTHING changed.Jesus claimed to be God, in the flesh, but He hung out with irreligious people who everyone thought to be morally inferior. Jesus was called a ìfriend of sinnersî because He spent time prostitutes and tax collectors and Roman soldiers. And people began to realize that God wasnít just for the Pharisees, that God was for the rest of us.Today, somehow people still believe that God is for the religious people who claim moral superiority. But theyíre wrong.God is STILL FOR THE REST OF US." - Vince Antonucci

Many people have come to a point where they believe that IF there is a God, IF he’s offering a relationship, IF he brings some people to Heaven when they die, he wouldn’t for me. His attitude towards me would be, in the words of Alanis Morissette, “But you, you’re not allowed, you’re uninvited.” Perhaps you feel that way because you’ve walked away from God or because of things you’ve done. But here’s Jesus, who claims to be God, and he’s saying, “Come to me.”
This week I’m in the room with Vince Antonucci. Vince planted and pastors a church called Verve for in Las Vegas, Nevada for people living and working on the Las Vegas strip. He’s recently written a new book called “God For The Rest Of Us: Experience unbelievable love, unlimited hope, and uncommon grace”.In my conversation with Vince we discuss growing up with a dad on the run from the law, the challenges of pastoring on the strip, how stand-up comedy compares to preaching and why so many feel beyond the love of God. There's a certain order to things... Sometimes, when something gets out of oredr there are no drastic consequences, but other times the consequences are huge. Today we're going to look at Matthew 9 and Luke 15, two circumstances where the religious leaders are shocked that Jesus is hanging out with shady people, and find that when we make God's primary desire secondary, the consequences are destructive. This message is inspired by a podcast from National New Church Conference with John Burke, and Vince Antonucci. It is also inspired by John Burke's book, "No Perfect People Allowed."
I read my Bible, mediate on His word, pray, go to church, and do my best to live a holy life, but I have a problem...I want more of Jesus. I'm not satisfied. Maybe, to experience Jesus more fully, i need to join Him in His work. Maybe...to understand where Jesus is working in this world, i need to understand His heart. Where will this all lead me? Where will i end up? Maybe...just maybe...it'll lead me into a bar. This message was inspired by a pastor named Vince Antonucci (go to his blog and read it all-www.vinceantonucci.com)
I not only think Jesus would leave Denny's, but I know He did. He left a wonderful table full of great food and conversation to wander the streets with Ted. Sure its incredibly sacrificial, but when you love like Jesus does, you're compelled. As we begin our advent season, we look at the implications of the world becoming flesh, we realize that Jesus entered our world. Not just our physical world, but he enters our world of struggles, temptations, and pain. But he just doesn't enter our world, but he comes into our world....our own personal darkness and chaos to bring us light. This message was inspired by a pastor named Vince Antonucci (go to his blog and read it all-www.vinceantonucci.com)
