Na bijna 2 jaar van corona zijn bijna alle maatregelen van tafel.  Tijdens de coronacrisis heeft de overheid een soepeler beleid gevoerd als het gaat om belastingschulden. Na enkele keren te zijn verlengd, lijkt het er nu op dat 1 april 2022 de coulance afgelopen is. Dat betekent voor veel ondernemers met uitgesteld belastingschulden dat hun nu de taak wacht de opgebouwde schulden terug te betalen.  Die kwestie ga ik  uitpluizen met Samad en Touria van L&I advocaten. Heidi Gündel in gesprek met Dennis Spaanstra over de laatste ontwikkelingen rond Police for Freedom en de demonstratie ‘Step in to the light' in Amsterdam. Spaanstra werkte vanaf zijn dienstplicht in 1989 voor de Koninklijke Luchtmacht en stapte in 1996 over naar de politie. Hij werkte daar onder andere bij recherche verhoor, de mobiele eenheid en bij noodhulp. Daarnaast verrichte hij in 2017 en 2018 werkzaamheden voor de vakbond Nederlandse Politiebond (NPB) als voorzitter van de regio Midden Nederland. Vanaf 2012 zag Spaanstra de politieorganisatie steeds meer afglijden, onder andere door de afbouw van capaciteit en het verdwijnen van "het scheiden der machten". Het werd een organisatie met een waterhoofdconstructie. Ook ontdekte hij dat de vakbonden niet meer onafhankelijk waren. Daarom richtte hij 2018 de alternatieve vakbond MV2 op. Begin 2020 bij de aanvang van de Coronacrisis maakte Spaanstra zich hard voor de grondrechten, de vrijheid van meningsuiting en gaf vorm aan de Nederlandse tak van de internationale vrijheidsbeweging Police for Freedom (PFF). Zijn insteek was om van de buitenkant te werken aan verbinding tussen zijn collega's en het volk door een brug te slaan tussen politie en vrijheidsdemonstranten. Op dit moment is Spaanstra bezig met het opzetten van een onafhankelijk onderzoeksbureau, een internationale opzet van PFF, het monitoren en steunen van demonstraties en het bewaken van onze constitutionele grondrechten. Want na twee jaar coronacrisis zijn de onzekerheden over de toekomst groot en zijn onze grondrechten met voeten getreden. De Nederlandse politiek is afhankelijk geworden van wat er bij de EU, het World Economic Forum en de Wereldgezondheidsorganisatie wordt besloten. Onze economie wordt steeds meer bepaald door multinationals en internationale financiële instellingen. En ondertussen is onze eigen publieke sector zwaar onder druk komen te staan. Op zondag 20 maart in Amsterdam wordt door PFF, de Witte Verbinding en de World Wide Rally, stilgestaan bij de demonstratie die dan precies een jaar eerder plaatsvond. De demonstratie waar vreedzame demonstranten uren ingesloten werden op de Leidsekade door politie en mobiele eenheid. Ook dit keer staat de demonstratie in het teken van verbinding en verdraagzaamheid. Vanaf het Museumplein wordt dezelfde route gelopen als vorig jaar maar er wordt deze keer niet gestopt op de Leidsekade.
