교회의 사역목표 (3): 동역자로 세워지며 Equipped for the Work of Ministry 에베소서 (Ephesians) 4:11-16 [새번역/ESV] 11 그분이 어떤 사람은 사도로, 어떤 사람은 예언자로, 어떤 사람은 복음 전도자로, 또 어떤 사람은 목사와 교사로 삼으셨습니다. And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, 12 그것은 성도들을 준비시켜서, 봉사의 일을 하게 하고, 그리스도의 몸을 세우게 하려고 하는 것입니다. to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 그리하여 우리 모두가 하나님의 아들을 믿는 일과 아는 일에 하나가 되고, 온전한 사람이 되어서, 그리스도의 충만하심의 경지에까지 다다르게 됩니다. until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, 14 우리는 이 이상 더 어린아이로 있어서는 안됩니다. 우리는 인간의 속임수나, 간교한 술수에 빠져서, 온갖 교훈의 풍조에 흔들리거나, 이리저리 밀려다니지 말아야 합니다. so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. 15 우리는 사랑으로 진리를 말하고 살면서, 모든 면에서 자라나서, 머리가 되시는 그리스도에게까지 다다라야 합니다. 교회의 사역목표 (2): 복음으로 수용되어 Embraced by the Welcoming Gospel 로마서 (Romans) 11:17-24 [새번역/ESV] 17 그런데 참올리브 나무 가지들 가운데서 얼마를 잘라 내시고서, 그 자리에다 돌올리브 나무인 그대를 접붙여 주셨기 때문에, 그대가 참올리브 나무의 뿌리에서 올라오는 양분을 함께 받게 된 것이면, But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, 18 그대는 본래의 가지들을 향하여 우쭐대지 말아야 합니다. 비록 그대가 우쭐댈지라도, 그대가 뿌리를 지탱하는 것이 아니라, 뿌리가 그대를 지탱한다는 것을 명심해야 합니다. do not be arrogant toward the branches. Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God's kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off. 23 그러나 믿지 않았던 탓으로 잘려나갔던 가지들이 믿게 되면, 그 가지들도 접붙임을 받게 될 것입니다. 하나님께서는 그들을 다시 접붙이실 수 있습니다. For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree.

After this Paul left Athens and went to Corinth. 2 거기서 그는 본도 태생인 아굴라라는 유대 사람을 만났다. 아굴라는 글라우디오 황제가 모든 유대 사람에게 로마를 떠나라는 칙령을 내렸기 때문에, 얼마 전에 그의 아내 브리스길라와 함께 이탈리아에서 온 사람이다. 바울은 그들을 찾아갔는데, And he found a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to leave Rome.
