From Mount Hor they set out by the way to the Red Sea, to go around the land of Edom. And the people became impatient on the way. 5 그래서 백성들은 하나님과 모세를 원망하였다. "어찌하여 우리를 이집트에서 데리고 나왔습니까? 이 광야에서 우리를 죽이려고 합니까? 먹을 것도 없습니다. 마실 것도 없습니다. 이 보잘것없는 음식은 이제 진저리가 납니다." After we were brought safely through, we then learned that the island was called Malta. 2 섬 사람들이 우리에게 특별한 친절을 베풀어 주었다. 비가 내린 뒤라서 날씨가 추웠으므로, 그들은 불을 피워서 우리를 맞아 주었다. The native people showed us unusual kindness, for they kindled a fire and welcomed us all, because it had begun to rain and was cold. 3 바울이 나뭇가지를 한 아름 모아다가 불에 넣으니, 뜨거운 기운 때문에 독사가 한 마리 튀어나와서, 바울의 손에 달라붙었다.
