사도행전 (Acts) 28:1-16 [새번역/ESV] 몰타를 거쳐 로마로 인도하신 섭리 The Best Gift You Can Give Yourself 사도행전 시리즈 71 2025-10-19 주일 예배 설교 (박기범 목사) 1 우리가 안전하게 목숨을 구한 뒤에야, 비로소 그 곳이 몰타 섬이라는 것을 알았다. After we were brought safely through, we then learned that the island was called Malta. 2 섬 사람들이 우리에게 특별한 친절을 베풀어 주었다. 비가 내린 뒤라서 날씨가 추웠으므로, 그들은 불을 피워서 우리를 맞아 주었다. The native people showed us unusual kindness, for they kindled a fire and welcomed us all, because it had begun to rain and was cold. 3 바울이 나뭇가지를 한 아름 모아다가 불에 넣으니, 뜨거운 기운 때문에 독사가 한 마리 튀어나와서, 바울의 손에 달라붙었다. When Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and put them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat and fastened on his hand. 4 섬 사람들이 그 뱀이 바울의 손에 매달려 있는 것을 보고 "이 사람은 틀림없이 살인자이다. 바다에서는 살아 나왔지만, 정의의 여신이 그를 그대로 살려 두지 않는다" 하고 서로 말하였다. When the native people saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “No doubt this man is a murderer. Though he has escaped from the sea, Justice has not allowed him to live.” 5 그런데 바울은 그 뱀을 불 속에 떨어버리고, 아무런 해도 입지 않았다. He, however, shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no harm. 6 섬 사람들은, 그가 살이 부어 오르거나 당장 쓰러져 죽으려니, 하고 생각하면서 기다렸다. 그런데 오랫동안 기다려도 그에게 아무런 이상이 생기지 않자, 그들은 생각을 바꾸어서, 그를 신이라고 하였다. They were waiting for him to swell up or suddenly fall down dead. But when they had waited a long time and saw no misfortune come to him, they changed their minds and said that he was a god. 7 그 근처에 그 섬의 추장인 보블리오가 농장을 가지고 있었다. 그가 우리를 그리로 초대해서, 사흘 동안 친절하게 대접해 주었다. Now in the neighborhood of that place were lands belonging to the chief man of the island, named Publius, who received us and entertained us hospitably for three days. 8 마침 보블리오의 아버지가 열병과 이질에 걸려서 병석에 누워 있었다. 그래서 바울은 들어가서 기도하고, 그에게 손을 얹어서 낫게 해주었다. It happened that the father of Publius lay sick with fever and dysentery. And Paul visited him and prayed, and putting his hands on him, healed him. 9 이런 일이 일어나니, 그 섬에서 병을 앓고 있는 다른 사람도 찾아와서 고침을 받았다. And when this had taken place, the rest of the people on the island who had diseases also came and were cured. 10 그들은 극진한 예로 우리를 대하여 주었고, 우리가 떠날 때에는, 우리에게 필요한 물건들을 배에다가 실어 주었다. They also honored us greatly, and when we were about to sail, they put on board whatever we needed. 11 석 달 뒤에 우리는 그 섬에서 겨울을 난 디오스구로라는 이름이 붙은 알렉산드리아 배를 타고 떠났다. After three months we set sail in a ship that had wintered in the island, a ship of Alexandria, with the twin gods as a figurehead. 12 우리는 수라구사에 입항하여 사흘 동안 머물고, Putting in at Syracuse, we stayed there for three days. 13 그 곳을 떠나, 빙 돌아서 레기온에 다다랐다. 그런데 하루가 지나자 남풍이 불어왔으므로, 우리는 이틀만에 보디올에 이르렀다. And from there we made a circuit and arrived at Rhegium. And after one day a south wind sprang up, and on the second day we came to Puteoli. 14 우리는 거기서 신도들을 만나서, 그들의 초청을 받고, 이레 동안 함께 지냈다. 그런 다음에, 드디어 우리는 로마로 갔다. And the brothers there, when they heard about us, came as far as the Forum of Appius and Three Taverns to meet us. And when we came into Rome, Paul was allowed to stay by himself, with the soldier who guarded him.

"여러분은 오늘까지 열나흘 동안이나 마음을 졸이며 아무것도 먹지 못하고 굶고 지냈습니다. As day was about to dawn, Paul urged them all to take some food, saying, “Today is the fourteenth day that you have continued in suspense and without food, having taken nothing. 34 그래서 나는 여러분들에게 음식을 먹으라고 권합니다. 그래야 여러분은 목숨을 유지할 힘을 얻을 것입니다. 여러분 가운데서 아무도 머리카락 하나라도 잃지 않을 것입니다." Therefore I urge you to take some food. For it will give you strength, for not a hair is to perish from the head of any of you.” 35 바울은 이렇게 말하고 나서, 빵을 들어, 모든 사람 앞에서 하나님께 감사를 드리고, 떼어서 먹기 시작하였다. And when he had said these things, he took bread, and giving thanks to God in the presence of all he broke it and began to eat. 36 그러자 사람들은 모두 용기를 얻어서 음식을 먹었다. Then they all were encouraged and ate some food themselves. 37 배에 탄 우리의 수는 모두 이백일흔여섯 명이었다. (We were in all 276 persons in the ship.) 38 사람들이 음식을 배부르게 먹은 뒤에, 남은 식량을 바다에 버려서 배를 가볍게 하였다. And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, throwing out the wheat into the sea. 39 날이 새니, 어느 땅인지는 알 수 없지만, 모래밭이 있는 항만이 보였다. 그래서 그들은 어떻게 해서든지, 배를 거기로 몰아 해변에 대기로 작정하였다. Now when it was day, they did not recognize the land, but they noticed a bay with a beach, on which they planned if possible to run the ship ashore. 40 닻을 모두 끊어서 바다에 버리고, 동시에 키를 묶은 밧줄을 늦추었다. 그리고 앞 돛을 올려서, 바람을 타고 해안 쪽으로 들어갔다. So they cast off the anchors and left them in the sea, at the same time loosening the ropes that tied the rudders. Then hoisting the foresail to the wind they made for the beach. 41 그런데 두 물살이 합치는 곳에 끼여들어서, 배가 모래톱에 걸렸다. 이물은 박혀서 움직이지 않고, 고물은 심한 물결에 깨졌다. But striking a reef, they ran the vessel aground. The bow stuck and remained immovable, and the stern was being broken up by the surf. 42 병사들은 죄수들이 혹시 헤엄 쳐 도망할까봐, 그들을 죽여 버리려고 계획하였다. The soldiers' plan was to kill the prisoners, lest any should swim away and escape. 43 그러나 백부장은 바울을 구하려고 병사들의 의도를 막고, 헤엄 칠 수 있는 사람들은 먼저 뛰어내려서, 뭍으로 올라가라고 명령하였다. But the centurion, wishing to save Paul, kept them from carrying out their plan. He ordered those who could swim to jump overboard first and make for the land, 44 그리고 그 밖의 사람들은 널빤지나, 부서진 배 조각을 타고 뭍으로 나가라고 명령하였다. 이렇게 해서, 모두 뭍으로 올라와 구원을 받게 되었다. and the rest on planks or on pieces of the ship. And so it was that all were brought safely to land.

사도행전 (Acts) 27:13-26 [새번역/ESV] 폭풍을 통해 배운 것 (1): 말씀하신 그대로 되리라 Storm's Lesson (1): It Will Be Exactly As Told 사도행전 시리즈 69 2025-10-05 주일 예배 설교 (박기범 목사) 13 때마침 남풍이 순하게 불어오므로, 그들은 뜻을 이룬 것이나 다름없다고 생각하고, 닻을 올리고서, 크레타 해안에 바싹 붙어서 항해하였다. Now when the south wind blew gently, supposing that they had obtained their purpose, they weighed anchor and sailed along Crete, close to the shore. 14 그런데 얼마 안 되어서, 유라굴로라는 폭풍이 섬쪽에서 몰아쳤다. But soon a tempestuous wind, called the northeaster, struck down from the land. 15 배가 폭풍에 휘말려서, 바람을 맞서서 나아갈 수 없으므로, 우리는 체념하고, 떠밀려 가기 시작하였다. After hoisting it up, they used supports to undergird the ship. Then, fearing that they would run aground on the Syrtis, they lowered the gear, and thus they were driven along. 18 우리는 폭풍에 몹시 시달리고 있었는데, 다음날 선원들은 짐을 바다에 내던졌고, Since we were violently storm-tossed, they began the next day to jettison the cargo. 19 사흘째 날에는 자기네들 손으로 배의 장비마저 내버렸다. And on the third day they threw the ship's tackle overboard with their own hands. 20 여러 날 동안 해도 별도 보이지 않고, 거센 바람만이 심하게 불었으므로, 우리는 살아 남으리라는 희망을 점점 잃었다. When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope of our being saved was at last abandoned. 21 사람들은 오랫동안 아무것도 먹지 못하고 있었다. 그 때에 바울이 이렇게 말하였다. Since they had been without food for a long time, Paul stood up among them and said, “Men, you should have listened to me and not have set sail from Crete and incurred this injury and loss. 22 그러나 이제 나는 여러분에게 권합니다. 기운을 내십시오. 이 배만 잃을 뿐, 여러분 가운데 한 사람도 목숨을 잃지는 않을 것입니다. Yet now I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship. 23 바로 지난밤에, 나의 주님이시요 내가 섬기는 분이신 하나님의 천사가, 내 곁에 서서 For this very night there stood before me an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I worship, 24 '바울아, 두려워하지 말아라. 너는 반드시 황제 앞에 서야 한다. 보아라, 하나님께서는 너와 함께 타고 가는 모든 사람의 안전을 너에게 맡겨 주셨다' 하고 말씀하셨습니다. and he said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before Caesar. And behold, God has granted you all those who sail with you.' 25 그러므로 여러분, 힘을 내십시오. 나는 하나님께서 나에게 말씀하신 그대로 되리라고 믿습니다. So take heart, men, for I have faith in God that it will be exactly as I have been told. 26 우리는 반드시 어떤 섬으로 밀려가 닿게 될 것입니다." But we must run aground on some island.”

At midday, O king, I saw on the way a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, that shone around me and those who journeyed with me. 14 우리는 모두 땅에 엎어졌습니다. 그 때에 히브리 말로 나에게 '사울아, 사울아, 너는 어찌하여 나를 핍박하느냐? 가시 돋친 채찍을 발길로 차면, 너만 아플 뿐이다' 하고 말하는 음성을 들었습니다. And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.' 15 그래서 내가 '주님, 누구십니까?' 하고 물었더니, 주님께서 '나는 네가 핍박하는 예수이다. And I said, ‘Who are you, Lord?' And the Lord said, ‘I am Jesus whom you are persecuting. 16 자, 일어나서, 발을 딛고 서라. 내가 네게 나타난 목적은, 너를 일꾼으로 삼아서, 네가 나를 본 것과 내가 장차 네게 보여 줄 일의 증인이 되게 하려는 것이다. So Agrippa said to Paul, “You have permission to speak for yourself.” Then Paul stretched out his hand and made his defense: 2 "아그립바 임금님, 오늘 내가 전하 앞에서 유대 사람이 나를 걸어서 고발하는 모든 일에 대하여 변호하게 된 것을 다행으로 생각합니다. “I consider myself fortunate that it is before you, King Agrippa, I am going to make my defense today against all the accusations of the Jews, 3 그것은 특히 임금님께서 유대 사람의 풍속과 쟁점들을 모두 잘 알고 계시기 때문입니다. 아무쪼록 내 말을 끝까지 참으시고 들어 주시기 바랍니다. especially because you are familiar with all the customs and controversies of the Jews. And I did so in Jerusalem. And after five days the high priest Ananias came down with some elders and a spokesman, one Tertullus. They laid before the governor their case against Paul. 5 우리가 본 바로는, 이 자는 염병 같은 자요, 온 세계에 있는 모든 유대 사람에게 소란을 일으키는 자요, 나사렛 도당의 우두머리입니다. For we have found this man a plague, one who stirs up riots among all the Jews throughout the world and is a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes. 6 그가 성전까지도 더럽히려고 하므로, 우리는 그를 붙잡았습니다. After some days Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was Jewish, and he sent for Paul and heard him speak about faith in Christ Jesus. 25 바울이 정의와 절제와 장차 올 심판에 관해서 말할 때에, 벨릭스는 두려워서 "이제 그만하면 되었으니, 가시오. 기회가 있으면, 다시 당신을 부르겠소" 하고 말하였다. And as he reasoned about righteousness and self-control and the coming judgment, Felix was alarmed and said, “Go away for the present. When I get an opportunity I will summon you.” 26 동시에 그는 바울에게서 돈을 받을까 하고 은근히 바랐다. 그래서 그는 바울을 자주 불러내어 이야기를 나누었다. At the same time he hoped that money would be given him by Paul. When it was day, the Jews made a plot and bound themselves by an oath neither to eat nor drink till they had killed Paul. 13 이 모의에 가담한 사람은 마흔 명이 넘었다.
