The Unfinished Story: Week 1 of 4 Hillcrest's mission statement says: We strive to see ALL PEOPLE reconciled to God and mature in Christ, and “Engage in Mission” is part of our Discipleship Pathway. The Unfinished Story series provides an exciting overview of the mission of God from Genesis, through the gospels and more than two thousand years of the world Christian movement to where we are today. We hope to inspire, educate and challenge people to engage with God in what is arguably the generation that offers the potential for the greatest harvest ever! The Unfinished story will help form a Biblical worldview that sees our participation with God in mission as both an exciting adventure and central to following Jesus. MIRACLES FOR YOU Sondra Ray & Markus Ray on A Course in Miracles
You are the Light. You are the Light by virture of giving forgiveness. You bring the peace to all minds by giving YOUR forgiveness. You receive the forgiveness and give the forgiveness simultaneously. To give and to receive are one in truth. Will we take up this holy function? We are the means for the "salvation of the world." Can we receive this holy function? We have to give in order to receive. Bring to mind the people with whom we have judged and have “attack thoughts" toward. Can we apply the Lesson to these Minds as well? There cannot be exclusions in our application in order for it to be in full force. We let forgiveness rest on ALL THINGS, ALL PEOPLE, ALL ASPECTS OF OUR LIFE.
After around 2,000 years, after the Fall in the Garden of Eden, there is a turn of grace by God by His calling of Abram. God's grace is not only given TO Abram it is given THROUGH Abram. Through Abram and his offspring, ALL nations/people will be blessed. And they were and we are. But we tend to get caught up in celebrating OUR being blessed without sharing God's grace. There is plenty of grace to go around. It is our nature to turn in on ourselves, celebrate what we have, and not want to or forget to share it. God's grace is NOT JUST FOR YOU. It's for ALL PEOPLE. He repeatedly returns to us in grace, and He repeatedly turns us in grace toward others. How's that going for you? Turning in grace toward others? How is God turning you in grace toward others in YOUR life? How might God work through you to be a blessing to others in little or even big ways? Possibly there are things in your life you would like to turn AWAY from? How's that going for you? What are things you would like to turn towards in your life? Turning towards God's grace and sharing it with others is God's desire for you. Genesis 12:1–9 Romans 4:1–8, 13–17 John 3:1–17

HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH GOOD PEOPLE, ALL PEOPLE, BUT ESPECIALLY MY PEOPLE. Black history month is a month for us to remember and honor who we ARE and have always been. This is how we take back what was stolen, remember what was forgeten, and find what was NEVER lost. This year with everything going on I want to highlight and remind us of our Black Warriors. One of the first things stripped from our ancestors was their Spirituality, because their spirituality was the source of their resilience, their resistance, and most importantly their REBELLION.So today I bring you of all the African Warrior Deities that I know of and where they are from. Please feel free to comment any that you know! Or a word or two about the deities, or sources to find more information on them! (FEEL FREE TO SHARE, BUT DO NOT COPY MY WORK!)

Send us a textJoin Fr. Aaron & Marissa Burt for this week's episode, in which they consider the readings for Proper 13, the Sunday between 7/31-8/6: Ecclesiastes 1:12-2:11; Psalm 49:1-12 (13-21); Colossians 3:5-17; Luke 12:13-21.They discuss the ephemeral nature of wealth, the wisdom of Ecclesiastes, the transforming work of Christ, and Jesus' invitation to generosity.Notes:Aaron notes: "I have enjoyed this book so far, but it focuses on only one aspect of Ecclesiastes—keeping death in mind. I want everyone to hear that Ecclesiastes has so much more to offer than simply that." In this episode, Joel shares his compelling journey from serving as a political consultant and novelist to making aliyah with his family and residing in Israel. He discusses the October 7th terror attacks, analyzing them not solely as acts of warfare but also as profoundly spiritual, demonic-inspired events. Joel examines the biblical significance of Gaza, contemplating both its history of judgment and God’s persistent love for all inhabitants of the region, including Israelis and Palestinians. Listeners will also be encouraged to join in fervent prayer for all those suffering in the region, along with insights from Scripture regarding Gaza's future. This episode functions as a pertinent reminder of the vital importance of hope, compassion, and prayer during times of crisis. Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, you who do what he commands. Seek righteousness, seek humility. Perhaps you will be sheltered on the day of the Lord's anger. Pray that every other demonically inspired assault that's being planned against Israel will not succeed. Pray that more Christians will stand in prayer for Israel and show compassion to all those suffering in the region.
