Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life. 1 John 5:10-13 --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/karimi-apologist/support

Dead to sin( passions and appetites of the flesh) but alive in doing acts of faith I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Romans 12:1, 6-9, 11, 13-14, 16-18, 20 --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/karimi-apologist/support

Carnal Christians are babies who refuse to grow even though they have received the priviledges of a believer: the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the Grace of God and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 1:2-5, Romans 6:1. Carnal Christians are shallow and hollow in the word of God. They are poor in scriptures and only hang on simplistic understanding refusing anything that taxes their mind and understanding. 1 Corinthians 3:2 [2]I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. Hebrews 5:12-13 [12]For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. [13]For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. Carnal Christians only endevor to show their spirituality just as the pharisees, busy doing things for the eye, men pleasers who motivation is pride and envy. Matthew 6:1-2 [1]Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. [2]Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. . . Conclusion: examine your level of Carnality, or watch whether you are growing or are an invalid. [2]I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. [3]For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? Two broad categories of people in the world - saved and the unsaved. Two categories of Christians in the world, Spiritual Christians and carnal Christians. The unsaved have not come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, don't have the Holy Spirit and are without Hope in the world and without God. They dont obey and can't obey the word of God. The carnal mind Romans 8:7 [7]Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. Romans 8:8 [8]So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. Secondly the carnal grief the Holy Spirit by walking against his leading and so are disobedient and rebellious. The scripture warns against it; for by Him we are sealed to eternal life . Ephesians 4:30 [30]And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. The carnal want to remain as babies, they do not feed on the spiritual food for them to mature but are eager to experience what's for the mature . Hebrews 5:12-14 [12]For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. [13]For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. [14]But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Every Christian must keep on evaluating their live or else will become carnal. For the war of the flesh and Spirit will not cease in the body but Christ overcame the world and has given us power to overcome the world. Learn from the churches in Revelation 2&3 and how they thought that it was ok with them through their works only to be reprimanded for erecting to be complacent in faithfulness and in do trine. God calls them to order but warns them if they continues In their lukewarm nature God would reject them. The carnal will be destroyed with the wicked according to the scriptures. Matthew 7:22-23 [22]Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? [23]And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Let's take hers lest we find ourselves just like those who did not enter his rest. Hebrews 4:1-3 [1]Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. [2]For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. [3]For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/karimi-apologist/support

The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.  I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.'  But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!'  I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.” Luke 18 :11 We come to him in weakness we are jars of clay, brittle, freakish and  fragile that they can easily break. it always has a warning handle with care. God isn't ignorant to know this. He is aware and has risked to invest in us a great treasure, a heavenly deposit. But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us 2 CORINTHIANS 4:7 2 POINTS 1. CHRIST IDENTIFIES WITH US IN OUR WEAKNESS Jesus was in every way a man, he was made like his brothers in every respect Hebrews 2:17 Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.  For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. HEBREWS 4:15 Jesus feels you, when you cry, when the pain inside feels like a volcano waiting to burst, when you are all alone and abandoned, when you are betrayed by your best friend. pick any situation and he went through it yet didn't sin. 2. He is our High Priest in the order of Melchizedek. And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.   And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: -He supplies our food and makes our heart glad. Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. since he knows our weakness and our failures he intercedes for us. Job declares My advocate is on High. Hebrews :7:25 THEREFORE we must not go back to the old system of drawing near to God by the law that appointed men in weakness but required them to fulfil the whole law(all failed) rather come to him as we are in our weakness for he chose us in him For the law appoints men in their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made perfect forever.Hebrews 7:28 --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/karimi-apologist/support

Salvation is enlightment Isaiah 25: 1. O Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness. 4. For You have been a defense for the helpless, A defense for the needy in his distress, A refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat; It is Isaiah who spoke these words, he spoke them and they are personal speaking the delight of his heart after he realized and so acknowledged Gods great plan of redemption. If we apply ourselves to understand this verse; let's use contrast. • We see Isaiah is enlightened, his eyes were opened to see the light of the Gospel, and this brought great Joy to his heart. This knowledge makes the heart glad. This enlightment also brought assurance, the Lord knows those who are his 2Tim 2:20. He knew salvation was to come from God as a free gift and that the burden of sin was lifted up from him, he was to be set free from captivity, the release from the prison of the law was imminent. The joy of knowing that the tears, the sorrow and the pain were shortly going to come to an end was so much. The insight of spending eternity in the bliss and the presence of God was too much for him to comprehend, yet he believed the testimony of the Lord. What a joy to behold? • The blinding of the unbelievers This message is foolishness to those who are perishing, 2 Corinthians 4:3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. In fact the world looks at believers as foolish and stupid men. Because the god of this world has blinded them that they cannot see2 Corinthians 4:4 The veil of the law has blinded them too; 7. And he will swallow up on this mountain The covering that is cast over all peoples, The veil that is spread over all nations He will swallow up death forever; Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their hearts. But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. 2 Corinthians 3:15 Their minds have been darkened by their pride and their delusion with wisdom of this world. Romans 1:23 professing to be wise they became fools. Philippians 4:18Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds. They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart To close this matter apply it to yourself Has the law veiled you? Are you blinded by the god of this world? Has your pride of human intelligence, wealth and lust become a stumbling block to see the express Image of the invisible God, our savior Jesus Christ? No doubt to the faithful, if Isaiah saw it and was Glad so we are with even greater assurance since what Isaiah prophesied is already come, its what we testify. Christ in us. Doesn't make sense

You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace. Galatians 5:4 Anyone who endeavours to achieve or earn salvation and its whole package is cut off from Jesus Christ. Salvation is a free gift to be received. Anything apart from this is not good news but a familiar script in a merit based reward system. The best gets the best. You get as much as you give is the denominator. Salvation is by Grace through faith, not by works. Paul who is one ardent proponent of the doctrine of grace says [4]Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt? [5]But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Romans 4:4-5 In a generation where everything has to be earned (even love), everything has to be achieved for the glory of the person who achieves For something as grand as salvation to be free, something as great as forgiveness of sin to be free, for adoption of sinful men in to the holy family of God to be free, for eternal appointment as Joint heirs with Christ to be free, for the assurance of spending eternal life with a Holy God in eternal glory and joy to be free, just doesn't make sense. It's too good to be true. That is what Gospel is, the good news. But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord Romans 6:23b The gospel which means good news in the original languages is a mystery. God did the unexpected from a human point of view to offer for free what was impossible for man to achieve or earn by his works or endeavour. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/karimi-apologist/support

Ref:Psalms of Moses 90:12 . Teach me to number my days, that I may apply my heart to wisdom. Why number our days. 4 points. To examine and work to add value to our time. Do and engage in what's worth you, your family, church, community, country and God. Don't spend it on worthless endevors such as gossip, slander,politics... To achieve life goals and objectives in life. Be the best in what you do, and in your position. Are you a father?be the best Father to your children, are you a wife? Be the best wife in Town, are you a teacher ? Be the best teacher ... excel. Time is short. We have very little time on earth and so we need to walk aware of it. Let life be an emergency because we don't know how much time is left for us. A day maybe, a week, a month, an year, ten years. We must spend our day like the last day. John 9John 9:4 [4]I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. Time is God's gift and will require of you to account for it. Two things: God have given you gifts and resources and will ask you to account for everything. Have you spent them faithfully? Secondly he will render or pay every man according to his deeds Romans 2:6Romans 2:6 [6]Who will render to every man according to his deeds: Will be rewarded? Will you receive a crown of any kind. Consider this for posterity in this Life and life to come. It's work that shall be paid and rewarded. Make it personal, it's not your church responsibility, it not your congregation. There are many who want you to feel weak in Christ , but I want to tell you that the power of God resides in you and you are complete in Christ. Many have a karma kind of Gospel, they say you must meet these rules or laws for the power of God to work in you. Some have been told unless you fast for 40 days you can't be a pastor, unless you pray at 3:am in the morning you're going to be attacked. All this come not from the power of God or the wisdom of God but from the rudiments of the traditions of men. Paul says build not your faith on this wisdom but on the power of God. The power of God isn't a preserve of some men ,it's freely given to those who believe in Christ. Your Jesus is not smaller than the Jesus inside your pastor , the Holy Spirit inside of you ain't smaller or less powerful than His . Know that the power that is in you provides for every gift that you lack no gift 1: Corinthians 6-8. Finally you have what you need, grow in the knowledge of Christ and grace thereof and this power that is in jars of clay will do exceedingly abundantly above what you can imagine or think.Just as a fruit blender is dead or mega lift until you plug it in power or start the engine ,so is a believer ,there is this great power in you switch it on when plugged and it's awesome. The power of God

Play Episode Listen Later May 25, 2020 31:05

Power is delegated from God Romans 13:1 , Jesus received it from the Father and now has delegated it to believers. This power was evident and was manifested in the Old Testament with miraculous signs and wonders especially in the desert, with Joshua in conquest of Cannan,to Samson to David... This was continued in the new Testament starting with our Lord and the Apostles. Believers were given power overcome Satan and his agents ,Luke 9:1 Jesus give authority to the twelve to cast out demons and heal diseases, he gave authority to the 70 followers in Luke 10:19 . He then gives them the assurance that nothing shall by any means hurt them. We then ask ourselves how and why does it seem this power is no longer at work? The authority is only manifested by those who walk in obedience, in humility and in faith. If any of this is lacking then the power won't be manifested. This power is manifested in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9. This power resides in us. 2 Corinthians 4:7, Ephesians 3:20, this power is limitless for we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us Philippians 4:13. We have this power ,the same power that raised Christ from the dead and placed him at the right hand of God in the heavenly realms. We are also raised up with Christ by the same power and has seated us with Christ in the right hand of the Father. We ultimately overcome the enemy, infact it's not a contest but a walkover as we fight from a position of victory. You don't just realize how much power you have from God, exercise it in Him .Amen --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/karimi-apologist/support
