Below is the main portion of Scripture that we talked about. These verses are in the very middle of a chapter about the gifts of the spirit and how they should operate in the church. Paul was very clear that we all have a part to play in the work of God. I hope you are encouraged to find a place to get involved as you listen to this episode. God is calling for laborers in this endtime harvest. Matthew 9:37-39 -- But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? 18 But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. 19 If all were a single member, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts, yet one body. 21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22 On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, 24 which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, 25 that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.26 If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.

Today's episode is personal to me & what God has been doing in my life the last few months. We never get to a place where God is not still working on us. I hope I never forget it. May you and I never stop pursuing to be ALL that God wants us to be. I share a driving moment from my day on Wednesday and the God moment that followed. We will read through Deuteronomy 6 together and apply it to our lives today. so simple, but I hope you get something out of it.

This episode is about compassion. First I share with you a story about compassion through the actions (and prayers) of my 6 year old. Then we will go to the word together to find out how Jesus responds to this feeling. Compassion is more than a feeling though. Compassion should always compel us to act. I knew that someone that will listen desperately needs to be reminded too. Today marks 12 years since I was baptized in Jesus name. This episode is simply the testimony of my conversion and my thoughts from today.

I once read that once you know what you want your legacy to be, you can start building it.  Not long ago, I read the story of a woman whose actions caused Jesus to say that what she did would make her remembered. That her actions would be spoken of throughout time as a memorial of her. I quickly decided that I wanted to mindfully take on some of her characteristics. I want to be remembered well. I want to pass something meaningful to my children. You can find her story in Matthew 26:6-13 and Mark 14:3-9. 

Today is just my thoughts on a simple principle. We move when God says to move; we stay when God says to stay. (sometimes, God doesn't say "stay". in these moments, we continue following the last word that God spoke to us.) As people of God, we follow the cloud. Numbers 9:17-18 17 And whenever the cloud lifted from over the tent, after that the people of Israel set out, and in the place where the cloud settled down, there the people of Israel camped. 18 At the command of the Lord the people of Israel set out, and at the command of the Lord they camped. As long as the cloud rested over the tabernacle, they remained in camp.

This episode is basically a life update. I share what we are currently going through and what God is teaching me right now. Some lessons are harder to learn than others! lol. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 16 Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Recently we were in Oklahoma City for a MONTH of revival. I had the chance to sit down with this wonderful pastor's wife and talk with her about a story from her teenage years. I cannot say enough good things about her. She is passionate about the things of God and it comes through in everything she does. I hope you enjoy this glimpse into this powerful moment of her childhood.

A woman has great influence over her family and friends. The choice is ours as to whether we use the influence to bless or to curse those that will follow in our footsteps. Today we dig into the infamous story of Jacob and Esau who started a family feud that would carry to the next generation. When we dissect the story we realize that Jacob's mother, Rebekah, was actually the influence behind the deceptive act of Jacob.  Her whispered plan, done in secret, would affect generations.  As women we must be careful what we promote. we must be careful what we encourage. We have the opportunity to influence others for good, but the same opportunity is available to influence in a negative way. I share a personal story of a woman in my life that impacted me for the better. I hope you are encouraged by her story and the life that she lived. This week I get back into our "To Know Him" series. I hope you enjoy the story behind this name, Ishi. Ishi means "my husband". This is taken from chapter 2 in the book of Hosea. God details out to Israel what all is included in their restoration. The very same restoration is available to you and to me when we need it.  I hope you enjoy this beautiful outline of God's unconditional love for us.

As we step into 2021, my heart's desire is to know God more this year. I don't have a new year's resolution. I couldn't come up with a cool "word" for the year like many others, but what keeps ringing in my ears is "to know Him". Join my friend, Morgan Hill, and I as we talk about journaling today. Morgan’s story is so relatable as she shares the benefits and the blessings in writing her thoughts and needs down daily. At age 17, she had a lot of decisions to make and found this method to be such an effective way to communicate with God. Today we'll talk about loneliness.. what to do with it. reasons why it comes. and what blessings are beyond your season on separation if you go through it correctly. through all of the Bible , I'd say that Joseph knew well the feeling of loneliness. He also in time saw the growth that happened in him from being separated.

Listen to a time where God used a parenting moment with my Ezra to reveal to me something about myself. God took me back to a season in my life where I just felt STUCK. Hindsight has shown me what I did right during my STUCK season and what I totally got wrong. I'll share with you today the number one thing to do when you feel like life is at a standstill. When you can't grow out, you must DIG DEEP.

My awesome husband, Taylor, is back again this week as promised! We go back and forth telling stories of miracles that we have seen the last several years evangelizing. Then give some instruction on how to believe and pray for a miracle. You've heard me say many many times throughout the podcast that I believe that God can do anything. I don't just say that as empty words, but I mean it. After seeing some of these miracles with MY own eyes, I have no doubts. This episode is about control. My past desperate need for control. The way that I justified taking control even after my new birth experience. The God moment where I realized I was never actually in complete control. And the process of learning to stop taking from God what was already His. If He is the author and finisher of our faith. He HAS to hold the pen.
