#10MinuteswithJesus ** Put yourself in the presence of God. Try talking to Him. ** 10 minutes are 10 minutes. Even if you can get distracted, reach the end. ** Be constant. The Holy Spirit acts "on low heat" and requires perseverance. 10-Minute audio to help you pray. Daily sparks to ignite prayer: a passage from the gospel, an idea, an anecdote and a priest who speaks with you and the Lord, inviting you to share your intimacy with God. Find your moment, consider you are in His presence and click play.
The invitation to follow Jesus ultimately leads to inviting others to follow him as well. But how do we make a good invitation? What makes an invitation good? This message looks at one thing that should precede our invitations to others.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Concerned community members around the Stilfontein area in the North West where around 400 illegal miners remain trapped undergroung say if food and water is not allowed into the mines, they will rescue dead bodies. This as community volunteers continue to risk their own lives and rescue trapped miners. At least five miners have been rescued and brought to the surface as they were too weak to get to the surface on their own because they have been without water and food for week. This after the police and the SANDF blocked off those who deliver their supplies underground through operation 'Vala Umgodi'. One volunteer who was preparing to go underground a short while ago says government is to blame for the root cause of this situation. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to SABC reporter, Zebilon Maine and chairperson of the South African Human Rights Commission, Chris Nissen
In this episode Sascha and I talk about how it feels to extend and be offered open invitations. We agree that, from both directions, it is simply the best. We try to figure out what makes it possible to do this glorious, simple thing; consider examples from our lives, discuss our siblings, our recent trip to see my family in Mexico, my remarkable Aunt Pipis, and the difficult politics of our country. As always, we feel lucky to have each other to practice open, endless, unconditional welcoming.
It's amazing what a simple invitation can do. It can lead to extraordinary things. This week we'll look at an invitation that changed someone's life in the first century and has the power to change someone's life today as well.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The Bible begins in a garden and ends in a city, the city of God. And with that ending comes an altar call for the spiritually thirsty, for all who would believe in Jesus for salvation. Until he comes again, that invitation is still open!
Speaker: Sr. Pastor Richard Parks Scripture: Matthew 11:27-30 Objective: The speaker emphasizes that true peace and resolution in life come from accepting Jesus's invitation, rather than relying on modern psychological advice. By contrasting the steadfast faith of John the Baptist with the disbelief of others, the speaker encourages a personal relationship with Jesus as the path to lasting fulfillment.

In this episode, we talk about the intro of offense and how to approach offense. A lot of us are walking around bitter, angry, holding on to trauma, resentment, jealousy, hatred, and other imperatives in our hearts due to someone or something that has hurt/offended us, and we haven't taken the time to allow God to heal our hearts. Just like Gold, when it is filled with imperative, it becomes hard and has to be put in the furnace so that the imperatives can be removed in the fire so that the gold can become soft, allowing the gold to be now "pure gold." God knows our hearts are deceitful, and He knows we will experience hurt and offense, but He wants us to glen on knowing how to properly handle offense so that we're not bait to Satan to fall into darkness. Life is about appreciating the journey and not getting caught up on the destination. Recently, I've been reflecting on how I've grown complacent with aspects of my life, my goals, and my professional career. In this episode I get into: Trusting the timing and calling over your life Getting comfortable with disappointing others Lessons from Victoria Monet's Grammy wins Understanding God's best versus what other people want for you We have to have enough belief and faith in ourselves to trust that things are working out in our favor and for our highest good. Even if it takes a minute to see the vision, it's okay. Your life is your own and you are the only one who can live it for you. I wanted to take time to talk about my experience with grief and some of the revelations I've had since then. This was something that wasn't completely unexpected, but it was still sudden. I was able to spend time with loved ones and be reminded of the things that truly matter in my life. In this episode I also talk about what it means to truly surrender, dealing with uncertainty, and getting comfortable with facing some uncomfortable truths. I feel like 2024 is going to a transformational year and there are things I need to release in order to truly take hold of the things that are meant for me. ------------------------------ The Words with Me Podcast is a space for thought and curiosity.
