Join psychologist Dr. Mariel Buqué, as she dives into conversations that focus on how you shift from intergenerational trauma to intergenerational abundance. On Break the Cycle, we talk about all things trauma, through the generations. What happened to you, what happened before you, and the power you hold within you to transform yourself and the generations to come.
The Break the Cycle with Dr. Mariel podcast is a game-changer in the world of mental health and healing. As a loyal follower of Dr. Mariel since discovering her on TikTok in 2021, I am overjoyed that she has expanded her content to include this incredible podcast. The tidbit videos she shares on social media have been immensely helpful to me, and now having a full-length podcast where she dives deeper into important topics is an absolute gift.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is how accessible it is to everyone. As a psychologist myself, I can attest that many of these topics are often overlooked or not thoroughly covered in traditional training programs. Dr. Mariel fills that gap beautifully by providing deep and incisive wisdom with compassion and authenticity. Her vulnerability and ability to bring her whole self to each episode create a safe and welcoming space for listeners.
Furthermore, I love that each episode not only provides valuable insights and perspectives but also includes healing practices such as breathwork and sound baths at the beginning and end. This holistic approach acknowledges the importance of addressing trauma in our bodies as well as our minds. Dr. Mariel's intentional inclusion of these healing practices sets this podcast apart from others in its genre.
While it's difficult to find any negatives about this podcast, one aspect that could be improved upon is the frequency of episodes. As someone who eagerly awaits each new release, I would love for there to be more frequent updates. However, quality takes time, so while I understand the need for patience, my excitement often gets the better of me!
In conclusion, The Break the Cycle with Dr. Mariel podcast is a powerful resource for anyone seeking healing from trauma or wanting to deepen their understanding of mental health issues. Driven by Dr. Mariel's expertise and authenticity, this podcast brings vital topics to light in an accessible and transformative way. With its insightful conversations, practical tools, and healing practices, this podcast is a must-listen for anyone on a journey of personal growth and healing.

*Trigger warning* - childhood trauma and abuse content.Childhood trauma is at the center of continued cycles of intergenerational pain. In this episode, author, childhood trauma survivor, and healing facilitator, Nate Postlethwait shares how we can start to look into our past to heal what's still hurting in the present and ways in which healers can increase their accountability in helping survivors of trauma.ABOUT NATE POSTLETHWAIT A few years ago Nate Postlethwait walked away from a highly successful career in real estate to give himself a reset and find more understanding in his life. He sold his home and everything with it and traveled throughout the world for several months. During his travels, he began publicly sharing his journey of healing from childhood trauma and the battles with his mental health. Quickly, a community began to form. Other survivors began sharing their stories in the comments section. That community has grown to over 175k and continues to have thousands of new friends join weekly. Nate has lead sold out webinars on inner child work and most recently, written a four week course on this work and offers multiple weekly q & a's that help share stories from within this survivor community. He identifies as a loud introvert, but also incredibly tender hearted to those who are hurting and need help. His life mission is to help those who need trauma informed therapy, find it in a way that is accessible and affordable. He's an avid traveler, but proudly calls Denver, CO home.
