Join Me for the 12-Day Homeschool Mom Self-Care Challenge A homeschool mom self-care challenge that honours you. Homeschool mama, I see you. December is here, and it feels like an avalanche of ALL the things.Every month as a homeschool mom is full, but December? It's a whole new level. You're trying to finish things up, or you’re moving into a unit study on Christmas, you’re purchasing, prepping, planning, and playing—and you just added a part time-job to your full-time job. But as a homeschool mama, when December rolls around, mama ain’t looking after herself, she’s looking, after ALL the things. And though ALL the things are a whole lot of things EVERY other month, December’s ALL the things is an exponential set of things. Though you’re trying to do all the things, fulfill the expectations, and make it magical for your kids, you can’t do a little bit more if you didn’t already incorporate an approach to maintain margins and pursue purposeful living. That's why I'm inviting you to join me for the 12-Day Self-Care Challenge for Homeschool Moms. This isn't another TO DO list. It's a TO GIVE list—a way to give back to yourself. Join the 12 Day Self-Care Challenge Why Self-Care Matters As homeschool moms, we have a unique calling. We're deeply present with our kids, invested in their well-being, and working hard to create meaningful memories and learning experiences. We savor moments of: Watching our kids harmoniously play together (sometimes). Cheering them on as they tackle new challenges. Seeing their excitement as they pursue new interests. Building lifelong memories as a family. But there's another side to this season: The constant stream of emotions (theirs and ours). Sibling squabbles. Complaints and meltdowns. And, of course, the never-ending mundane tasks—laundry, dishes, meals, and errands. Even when we handle these challenges with grace, the emotional and mental investment is enormous. Add the holidays to the mix, and it's no wonder we feel stretched thin. The Secret Ingredient to a (more) Peaceful Holiday Season Here's the thing: you matter too. Your well-being is not just an afterthought—it's the foundation of a happy family life and a peaceful holiday season. Self-care: Refills your energy so you can approach the holidays with calm and joy. Models healthy balance and boundaries for your children. Helps you manage stress and let go of perfection. Strengthens your emotional resilience to handle challenges with patience and grace. Creates space for joy and presence, helping you savor the small, magical moments. When you care for yourself, you're giving your family the best gift of all—a peaceful, grounded, and joyful mama. What You'll Get in the 12-Day Challenge In just fifteen minutes a day—maybe even five—you'll explore simple, practical self-care strategies that fit into your busy December. These strategies aren't just for the holidays; they're tools to carry into the new year, helping you nurture yourself and your family with greater ease and satisfaction. By the end of these 12 days, you'll feel: More energized. More connected to yourself. And more at peace as you move through this beautiful, busy season. And so we must take care of ourselves. Join the 12 Days of Homeschool Mom Self-Care Challenge Join Me—You Deserve This So, homeschool mama, this is your invitation to take a breath, step back, and remember that you are worth nurturing. Let's do this together. This December, give yourself the gift of care, calm, and connection. Join the 12-Day Self-Care Challenge for Homeschool Moms and rediscover the joy of the season—not just for your family, but for you too. Just fifteen minutes a day. You've got this.

The result is The Party's Interests Comes First - a biography of Xi's father, Xi Zhongxun. Healing from childhood traumas is possible! Avonley Lightstone is the author of Strength of Scars, Letting Go, It's Just Temporary, and Going From Old to Gold. Her mission is to bring healing in to a world that often feels broken. She believes trauma and trials, when faced with courage, can become powerful challenges that strengthen us and create a ripple of hope and resilience. Through her own story, she inspires others to say, "I got this — we're doing this together." Avonley holds a deep personal hope of reconnecting with her family in India, where her journey began, and offering her father forgiveness and peace. She currently resides in Utah with her husband, Christian, and their three daughters. Together they enjoy the outdoors, baking, and cheering on their girls in sports. In episode 619 of the Fraternity Foodie Podcast, we find out how Avonley was able to save her mom from a house fire at just three years old, how an abusive environment in a foster home affected her sense of identity and belonging, how she help others recognize when they're masking pain instead of healing it, how to heal from childhood traumas before it starts to impact your growth, what are some physical or emotional signs that someone's body might be holding onto unresolved trauma, why she dreams of reconnecting with her family in India to offer forgiveness and peace, how her scars — physical and emotional — became a source of strength for others, how we can create a culture that prioritizes mental health and emotional safety, and what she hopes readers of "Strength of Scars" will take with them into their own lives. Enjoy!

In this Huberman Lab Essentials episode, I explore the neuroscience of fear and trauma and how to effectively process and eliminate traumatic responses. I explain why successful fear treatment requires both extinction of the old fearful response and replacement with a new positive association—not just cognitive reframing. I also explain how the threat reflex activates specific circuits connecting the amygdala, prefrontal cortex, and dopamine systems, and why detailed recounting of traumatic events progressively reduces their physiological impact. Finally, I review evidence-based approaches, including prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy, discuss how five minutes per day of deliberate stress through cyclic hyperventilation can rewire fear responses, explain the critical role of social connection in activating neural pathways that reduce trauma, and share supplementation options for managing anxiety. (EN) What does money awaken in you: fear, control, or freedom? Today's episode features Diana Chambers, an English financial mentor who has been investigating the invisible entanglement of money with our emotions, traumas, attachments, and family histories for decades. Diana invites us to look at money as energy and transform it into living consciousness — inspiration that comes, in part, from her work with Thomas Hübl, with whom I also share a deep connection. In this journey of relating to money, I put myself in first person — sharing what my own relationship with money was like, and how, over time, I integrated spirituality, generosity, and abundance as part of the same flow. Finally, we talked about the incredible possibilities of philanthropy, something that excites me a lot, and which Diana sees as a gesture of energy in motion, a way of putting money at the service of life and people! This conversation is a space for learning, enjoy!

Hello ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to today's podcast episode. In this discussion, the focus is on how the enemy uses traumatic experiences to distract and derail from the path that God has designed. Life's painful moments can often feel like barriers, but they are also opportunities for growth, healing, and deeper faith. Many people have faced moments that shook their confidence, clouded their purpose, or made them question their worth. These experiences are not random-they are strategic attempts to pull hearts and minds away from divine calling. But even in the midst of pain, God's plan remains unshaken. This episode explores how to recognize those spiritual distractions, how to reclaim peace after trauma, and how to realign with God's vision. For anyone who has ever felt lost, broken, or uncertain after a difficult season, there's a gem of truth and encouragement waiting in this message. Stay tuned, and let's walk together toward restoration and purpose.

In this mini episode, Lisa answers one powerful question: How does betrayal trauma differ from other traumas? Betrayal trauma isn't like any other kind of pain — it strikes at the very foundation of safety, trust, and identity within your most intimate relationship. When the one who vowed to love and protect you becomes the one who causes the deepest wound, it shatters more than your heart — it shakes your entire sense of reality. Lisa explains why betrayal trauma feels so different, how it impacts your mind, body, and spirit, and why healing requires a specialized approach that goes far beyond behavior change. You'll discover how to begin rebuilding safety, regulating emotions, restoring identity, and allowing God to take the ashes of your story and create something brand new. If you're walking through the aftermath of infidelity or sexual betrayal, this short but powerful episode will help you understand what's really happening inside you — and where true healing begins. ✨ Learn more about healing from betrayal trauma through Lisa's Roadmap to Recovery program for women or Marriage Redesigned for couples at lisalimehouse.com. :: NEXT STEPS: MARRIAGE REDESIGNED PROGRAM  Schedule your MARRIAGE REDESIGNED FREE CONSULT  Join our Beauty Beyond Betrayal Sisterhood:   Healing from an affair: Heartbreak Recovery for Christian Women Grab your Free Ebook:   Broken Vows: Begin healing from the devastation of betrayal Email:   info@lisalimehouse.com WEBSITE:  www.lisalimehouse.com Got a question you want answered?  ASK HERE

During my recent trip to South Africa, I was honored to be invited to a rehearsal of Cape Town's own Thanda Choir. Afterwards, I sat down with two choir members, Iva Sogiba and Siyasanga Mhlekwa, and two managers, Asavela Mpayipeli and Zikhona Mapisa. We discussed the choir's founding and the importance of recognizing and bringing awareness to Khayelitsha Township. Our conversation encompassed the church music that has inspired them and the passion and hopes for healing that Mhlekwa and Sogiba, along with their fellow choir members, bring to their songs. Traumas experienced by choir members and the larger community both are attended to with care, through the mentorship of Mpayipeli and the strong mothering of Mapisa, a well-known gospel artist in her own right. https://thandachoir.co.za
