For many of us, we received an identity that was forced onto us by the world before we could even discover who we really were. For me, it was the “churchboy”. Throughout life I’ve learned that we are not who the world says we are, but are all individuals whose identities were given to us by God. It…
The Churchboy Confessions podcast is a true blessing for anyone seeking to deepen their relationship with God and navigate the challenges of being a Christian in today's world. As someone who was raised as a Christian all my life, I can relate to the struggles and confusion that can arise from trying to maintain a strong connection with God. The episode "I forgot about grace again" particularly resonated with me, as it addressed a struggle I have been facing for years. Emmanuel, through his powerful words inspired by God, provides clear guidance on how to keep a tight relationship with God.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is Emmanuel's authenticity and sincerity. As a first-time listener, I was immediately drawn to his genuine approach in delivering God's message. He doesn't sugarcoat or try to please our feelings; instead, he uses God's wisdom to provide truthful and impactful insights. This rawness allows listeners to truly connect with the messages and apply them to their everyday lives. Additionally, it is refreshing to see more male figures like Emmanuel using platforms like this to edify God's word. His presence fills an important void in the realm of Christian podcasts.
While there are countless positive aspects of The Churchboy Confessions podcast, it is essential to address any potential shortcomings. One area for improvement could be diversifying the topics covered. While each episode provides valuable insights and teachings, there may be room for exploring different aspects of faith or addressing specific issues faced by Christians today. By expanding the range of topics discussed, the podcast could reach an even wider audience and provide guidance on various areas of life.
In conclusion, The Churchboy Confessions podcast is undeniably a powerful source of spiritual growth and inspiration. Through Emmanuel's powerful delivery of God's word, listeners are able to gain newfound clarity on their faith journey and find solace in navigating life's challenges as Christians. This podcast has already changed lives, including mine, and I am excited to see how Emmanuel and his platform, The Unassociated, continue to grow and impact more individuals. As a first-time listener, I am eagerly looking forward to what the future holds for this truly exceptional podcast. May God continue to bless this work.
"Man plans and God laughs." It's a popular saying to explain those moments in life when God completely shakes things up, or allows them to fall apart. In this episode of the pod, my 10-month hiatus comes to an end with a story of how I got laid off last April, my call to full-time ministry, and the journey of humility I've had to walk with God ever since. What do you do when God allows a shake up in your life? How do you respond when His call challenges your reputation in the eyes of others? Thank you for watching the episode! Let' connect!! Let's face it, we've all fell down the rabbit hole of an end time conspiracy at some point in our lives by now. Or maybe instead of a conspiracy, we sat through the a false teacher or prophet preaching a whole lotta of anti-biblical nonsense. Realistically, we will never be able to escape with the frenzy of conspiracies, false prophecies and heresies that drop every week on the internet. Nevertheless, it's important that we not be deceived, and the Word of God is here to guide us through all the lies and deception. Most conversations surrounding the gospel talk about the physical pain, suffering and death that Christ experienced on our behalf. Today I want to talk about something else Jesus endured for our sakes, and that's humiliation. Some people think God is egotistical, but when we really take time to consider what it meant for the Creator to humble Himself and suffer at the hands of His own creation, the "egotistical" label simply doesn't stick. Let's unpack. The conversation around our individual purposes can be an exciting one or anxious one depending on who you ask. I've noticed a large amount of anxiety our generation has when it comes to this. We are in a point in our lives where we want to know our purpose, but it seems like God doesn't want to give us a clear answer to what that is. How do we continue to navigate our day-to-day, uneventful, unfulfilling lives until He answers us? What are the 7 ways you can know you're depending on the Lord? Here are 4–7. (4) you work with and trust others in a team rather than trying to do everything yourself (5) You can take a day off working (6) You rely on God when you're tank is empty (7) You chase God instead of worldly things. Dependency on the Lord is an essential part of our relationship with Him. Despite this, many of us are still hell-bent on doing everything ourselves. We typically refer to this act as "trusting in the flesh". God is not a fan of this. In fact, He's cursed the Israelites for doing this in Jeremiah 17. Not only is trusting in the flesh offensive to God, it can also lead to a life of anxiety, stress, fatigue and rocky relationships. In this episode, we do some self evaluation in order to gauge where we can improve in our dependency. God's love is much easier to recognize when we get past our sense of entitlement. Entitlement writes off the ways God shows us His love as the bare minimum. We might not say it, but deep in our hearts, many of us think God owes us food, shelter, water, health, money, and life. In reality, He owes us nothing...but gives us everything because of His love. I decided to make this episode to speak about the recent tragedies in Gaza and Israel. There's been a lot of rallying and split-support for both sides, which has made it hard to really discern truth from lies. I'm someone still being careful to fully understand the present and history of this issue. Nevertheless, among many of the takes I've seen online, a very important principle has been consistently absent - God's command to love our neighbor. The Bible says all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. That means we've all done things we are not proud of, and sometimes that makes a gag at the thought of who we once were. Never let "conquering your insecurities" lead you away from God. I'll probably expand on this topic in the near future. Hope this can help set someone free. Read: Matthew 4:1-11
