Good Guys Talk Back is a Chicago White Sox podcast that is fan centric & blue-collar. Hosted by Nick Murawski and Jeff Julian.
Sox fans! Welcome back. Our Chicago White Sox were swept by the Rangers after losing two of three in Houston. Winnable games but the fact remains that the Sox are far from competitive. Andrew Vaughn has been traded to Milwaukee and now Luis Robert Jr. is the last man standing from the 2021 AL Central Championship team. The Sox honored the Pope with a Mass, Grant Taylor has been brought up and Tim Elko has been sent back down. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Welcome back. There's light at the end of the tunnel Jerry will be turning over the keys to team Ishbia. It could be as early as 2029 but no longer than after the 2034 season. What kind of money does Ishbia plan to use? What will it be used for? Welcome to the South Side Kyle Teel. Cannon and Sosa head to the IL. Sox split with Detroit and took two of three from Kansas City. Ray Durham got his bobblehead and Nancy Faust was back at it. Thanks for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. The Chicago White Sox were swept in Baltimore. Why is this year of misery better than last year's version? Luis Robert, Jr. was dropped down to 7th in the lineup. What players are bringing back value at the deadline? Rick Hahn speaks up about the Tatis Jr. trade. Tim Anderson is out of job, but for how long? Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox

Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox were embarrassed this past weekend by the Chicago Cubs. When will the pain stop? When will the Sox be competitive again? It's a sickening feeling to realize the good times might be very far away. We are hanging onto prospects, hope and the feeling that it can't be this way forever. There are silver linings... not many... but they are there. Jonathan Cannon has had a nice month of May and Miguel Vargas was tough to stop on the North Side. Little sizzle and no steak. Pete Rose and Shoeless Joe Jackson are reinstated? When, if ever, will they be inducted into the Hall of Fame? Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. What a crazy week. We have a new Pope and he is not only from Chicago but he also a White Sox fan. Unbelievable. The Sox finally promote Tim Elko and he wastes very little time showing off his power. The legendary organist, Nany Faust, makes her return to Sox park and she will be entertaining fans for several Sundays this season. After 41 games, the Sox are (12-29) which is exactly where they were last season after 41 games. Do you feel different about things this year? Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Welcome back to a very fan centric episode. The White Sox debuted their new city connect uniforms and took two of three from the Houston Astros. It was Dick Allen bobblehead day and the Sox did the right thing when it comes to the necessary accessory. Luis Robert Jr. is warming up. Someone we never heard of had some interesting things to say about Andrew Vaughn. Colson Montgomery tries to find himself in the desert. And, when did we lose our way going to the bathroom? Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Hey Sox fans! We are back and thank you for joining us for some fan centric White Sox chatter. The Sox are struggling offensively and the numbers speak for themselves. We're more than ready to move away from Andrew Vaughn but is Tim Elko ready? When will he force the White Sox hand? Who was the last prospect that really forced his way onto the team? We also talk Chris Getz, upcoming promotions, and believability if you've covered the team on the North Side. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Hey Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. The end results have not necessarily reflected it however something feels different with this 2025 White Sox team. After last year, different is good. Since last episode, the Sox lost a series to the Cleveland Guardians but managed to get their first series win of the season against the Boston Red Sox. Chase Meidroth entered the chat for the White Sox. He's had an exciting few games and even broke up Garrett Crochet's no hitter in the series finale. Luis Robert Jr. got his first home run of the season but we're still waiting for him to take off. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. Sox had a rough week... they were swept in Detroit and lost two of three to the Minnesota Twins. Sox have lost five in a row. After nine games, they are one of the three worst teams in all of baseball. Offense continues to be well below average. Luis Robert Jr. and Andrew Vaughn have gone missing. The Sox bullpen is a mess and promising prospect, Colson Montgomery, is off to a tough start. When will the White Sox be competitive again? When will they just be average? Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Hey Sox fans! The first series is in the books and the Chicago White Sox did not embarrass themselves... yet. Sox won big in the opener, then fell to the Angels in the next two games. Starting pitching has been a nice surprise but the offense will need to get creative. Tim Anderson and Yoan Moncada returned home to a mixed reception. Why are there so many Cubs jerseys at a Sox game and when did we forget how to use the bathroom? Next up: Sox host the Minnesota Twins then head to Detroit. Thanks for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Welcome back... we are just days away from the start of the 2025 season. Opening Day finds our White Sox welcoming the Los Angeles Angels and Sean Burke... yes, that Sean Burke... is your starter. Lots of question marks still with the lineup and Will Venable is waiting until the end of spring training before he makes any rash decisions. Injuries have piled up and TJ surgeries have been rampant as Drew Thorpe is the latest casualty. New food and drinks at the ballpark this year highlighted by another milkshake. White Sox baseball is almost here. Zero expectations. Just have fun. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Welcome back as we celebrate our 300th episode. This White Sox podcast started out during the winter meetings of 2018. As we enter our 7th season, what has changed and what stayed the same? Why continue to talk about something that generates so much anger and disappointment? Talking about the Sox has been extremely therapeutic and it's been amazing connecting with so many like minded fans. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox! #WhiteSox
Sox fans! We are back and so are the Chicago White Sox. Cactus League play is underway. Sox lost their first two games to the Cubs and Royals. However the biggest Sox storyline happened off the diamond concerning Justin Ishbia and his desire in grabbing controlling interest, which would put him as the top owner of the team over Jerry Reinsdorf. A White Sox world without Reinsdorf is a dream that could become reality in the near future. We also talk position player battles, our invest in the team, Will Venable's first camp and why would the Sox bring back Mike Clevinger. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. Less than two months until Opening Day and pitchers/catchers will be reporting to camp in about two weeks. Are you excited for White Sox baseball? Have you been missing it? The product on the field will be very rough this year but the promotional giveaways should bring a fair amount of fans back to the ballpark. Lots of nostalgia and love for the 2005 World Series champions. Mark Buehrle is getting a statue and Ray Durham is immortalized in bobblehead form. This truly will be the season of the promo. Thanks for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Hey Sox fans! Welcome back. Former Sox manager, Jeff Torborg, passed away. The new promo schedule should be available soon. How about that Dick Allen bobblehead? Will Mark Buehrle ever get into the Hall of Fame? Are you excited for Sox Fest? The White Sox have done nothing remarkable during this winter but Chris Getz is sounding human. So there's that. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Welcome back to a very fan centric conversation. Who is responsible for a busted player? Does the main blame fall on the organizational brass or is it all the player's fault? It's probably a little bit of both but why does it seem like players flourish when they leave the Sox and fail when they enter the organization? Sell the team chants rang out at the last home Bears game of 2024. Sox fans know what that is like. Former Angels manager, Phil Nevin, joins the Will Venable coaching staff. Hopefully he can bring some positive vibes into 2025. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Hey Sox fans... Welcome to Season 7 of the podcast. Here we go again... the White Sox saw an opportunity to advance the most latest rebuild and traded Garrett Crochet to the Boston Red Sox for a bag of prospects. Sound familiar? It was almost eight years ago to the date that the White Sox pulled the same stunt with Chris Sale. Being a Sox fan is like being on a haunted carousel from hell. Since the last time we talked, Sox great Bill Melton passed away and legend Dick Allen was elected into the Hall of Fame. Also, Sox flesh out their coaching staff as they add an offensive coordinator position. Thanks for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. The Chicago White Sox officially announced the details to the watered down version of SoxFest 2025. The fan festival is back but is it better than ever? The Sox hired a new bench coach and are bringing back some familiar faces. Austin Slater has joined the White Sox and will he actually be wearing number 13? Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Hey Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. The Chicago Sports Network has a new app and it's only $19.99 a month to watch the Sox lose 97 games in 2025. White Sox Charities has another garage sale in the works and to take a picture with Southpaw dressed as Santa will cost you far more than $19.99. The GM meetings wrapped up and the Winter Meetings are in a few weeks. All signs point to the new AL Comeback Player of the Year, Garrett Crochet, to be moved. What's the role of a director of hitting and will the Sox get some players that can actually hit? Thanks for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. The search is over. The Chicago White Sox named their 44th manager in franchise history recently. Will Venable is the man in charge and he has his hands full. Venable has been around the game for quite some time, most recently as the bench coach for the Texas Rangers. This is Venable's first managerial gig. There will be some familiar faces back in 2025 but Yoan Moncada will not be one of them. Moncada's time with the Sox has come to an end and where he ranks on the all time bust list will be debated for years. We also talk about the future of Andrew Vaughn as the Sox look to move forward. Thanks for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. Jerry is at it again... teasing a sell of the team that might result in a potential move just to get public funds for a new stadium. Jerry does not have his friends in high places this time around so does he give up eventually and really sell? We celebrate the 19th anniversary of the 2005 World Series. Reminiscing about what actually happened instead of being angry about what never came to fruition. The latest list of Sox managers is uninspiring but it's the White Sox way. Thanks for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. More names surface as potential White Sox managers. Who would want this job? The pay will be unattractive, the team has endless shortcomings, the front office is sparse and fan morale is low after a historically bad season. Have you been following former Sox players during the MLB postseason? Michael Kopech looks like a different human. New rendering surface of what the skyline would look like from behind homeplate at The 78 pipedream stadium. Build a team first. Thanks for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox finished the year with 121 losses and made history. They showed some fight down the stretch but thankfully the 2024 season is finally over. Jerry Reinsdorf made a statement. Chris Getz was transparent. Another article shining light on the organizational dysfunction. Can Grady Sizemore really be the next manager? Are there enough fans out there that really care? We thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Hey Sox fans! Our beloved Chicago White Sox are set to make history this week. They hit the 120 loss mark and with six games left... well, it's just a matter of time until they enter the record books. The Athletic came out with a scathing article that helped shed light on how the Sox have managed to become such a laughingstock. Former Sox pitcher, Jake Peavy, weighed in on his time with the club and how he saw things unravel. Were state legislators convinced to spend public money for a new stadium after the Sox had former players onboard for a river cruise? Enjoy the history and thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Hey Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox are on the the brink of history... they are looking at a three game winning streak. That's right, the (35-115) White Sox are on a heater. If you are embarrassed about being a Sox fan and feel things have hit rock bottom... next year should provide zero rescue. Jerry Reinsdorf spoke with little clarity. Chris Getz spoke in circles and the rumor around the league is that the Sox will cut payroll in 2025. Yoan Moncada has rejoined the club. Do you care... at all? The Sox are five losses away from tying the record with 12 games left. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Hey Sox fans, welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. After a two week absence, we reflect on the embarrassing brand of baseball that's been played and the two whole wins that the Sox have achieved since we last recorded. Last in almost every offensive category, how are the Sox going to make improvements in the offseason? The latest on SoxFest and can the 20th anniversary of the 2005 team mask the stink of this 2024 season. We discuss Grady Sizemore's talking points and what Chris Getz's first priority should be at season end. What a team. What a time to be alive. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox did it. They lost their 100th game of the season on Sunday August 25th. The Sox now have back-to-back 100 loss seasons for the first time in franchise history. It's the quickest any MLB team has made it to 100 losses in 108 years. Is Chris Getz capable of being the GM to identify the problem areas, hire the right people and orchestrate the necessary trades to get this team on the correct path? Is Grady Sizemore's relationship with players an important factor in having the interim label removed? Has it really been one year since Hahn and Williams were fired? Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox (30-95) lost a series to the New York Yankees and also the Houston Astros. Aside from an odd blow out win against New York, offense was tough to come by this past week. With 37 games left, the Sox need to go (13-24) to avoid losing 120 games. Will interim manager Grady Sizemore be a serious candidate to be the skipper in 2025? Former fan favorite, Jake Burger, has been on a tear in Miami while Yoan Moncada has been nowhere to be seen and his time with Sox will most likely end with a depressing whimper. What a time to be alive. Thanks for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Welcome back... our Chicago White Sox (28-91) finally fired their inept manager, Pedro Grifol, along with a bunch of other coaches. Grady Sizemore has been given the interim managerial title but the losing has continued... for now. Chris Getz is saying all the right things when it comes to a serious managerial search but will the Sox really follow through? If nothing will ever change while Jerry owns the team then does the manager matter much? Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Hey Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox have lost twenty games in a row and are sixty games under .500. Sixty. Games. The Sox were swept this past weekend by the Twins in Minnesota. Pedro Grifol is somehow still the manager however a meeting was held recently to discuss his future. Were you happy with what the Sox got back at the trade deadline? Are you glad Crochet remained on the team? The Sox now head to Oakland before coming home to face the Chicago Cubs. Thank you for the continued support, Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox (27-74) were swept by the Kansas City Royals this past weekend. The Sox scored just three runs and turned in a pathetic effort after the break. Can the Sox turn things around in 2025 like the Royals have done? Speaking of 2025, next year's schedule is out... will Crochet and Robert Jr. be around to participate? Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox (27-71) made it to the All- Star break in historic fashion. No team in history has ever lost as many games (71) as the Sox have at the break. This past week was dominated by the MLB Draft and the trade deadline. Lots of speculation on whether the Sox will trade star pitcher Garrett Crochet but if he does go, they now have a new lefty in the system. With the fifth pick in the draft, the Sox chose left-handed pitcher Hagen Smith. Despite the fact that the Sox need some offense, they went with what they know. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox (26-66) lost a pair of road series and Michael Kopech's inconsistencies were on full display in the finale in Miami. Kopech gave up a three run, walk-off homerun to Jake Burger. Living and dying by the fastball is not a sustainable recipe for a closer. During the Cleveland series, Luis Robert Jr. decided not to make a throw from centerfield at the end of Game 1 because there did not seem to be a realistic chance that he'd get the ball to Homeplate in time to stop the speedster Andres Gimenez from scoring the winning run. That apathetic attitude really seems to encapsulate this 2024 White Sox team. With the trade deadline less than a month away, how many Sox players will depart? Also, what qualities do you want in the next Sox manager? Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Hey Sox fans! Our beloved Chicago White Sox (24-62) were swept by Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Dodgers then took two out of three from the Colorado Rockies. Garrett Crochet pitched very well against both LA and COL. Rumors continue to swirl about the Sox looking to deal him at the deadline. Play-by-play man, John Schriffen, celebrated a monster homerun by Luis Robert Jr. with a panther growl. As expected, fans had opinions. The White Sox had their first weekday, non-Cubs/Opening Day sellout in twelve years last week. Will this ever become a normal occurrence? Thanks for the continued support. Hey Sox fans! Our 2024 Chicago White Sox (21-58) are on pace to be the worst team in franchise history. What a time to be alive. The Sox have a rough time in Detroit. Jonathan Cannon could not string together back-to-back quality starts, Paul DeJong forgot how many outs there were and Oscar Colas was optioned yet again. Is Tony LaRussa influencing the search for the next White Sox manager? Eloy Jimenez returned from the injured list and got injured again on Sunday. We also examine comments from Chris Getz and explore our apathetic ways. Thanks for the continued support. Go Sox. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/good-guys-talk-back/message
Hey Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox (19-54) are still waiting on that elusive 20th win but a few pitching performances from this past week might have made you forget about the horribleness. The Sox strung together four solid outings in Seattle and Erick Fedde shined in Arizona over the weekend. Drew Thorpe and Jonathan Cannon impressed and Garrett Crochet is must watch TV. Besides what we're seeing at the big league level, there are pitchers in the farm system that are worthy of excitement. Also, some love for Abreu, Duke Ellis was designated for assignment and the Pedro Grifol quote of the week. Thanks for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/good-guys-talk-back/message
Hey Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox (17-49) made team history this past week as their losing streak hit fourteen games. What a time to be alive. The Sox were swept by the Cubs in the two game crosstown series while splitting a four game series with Boston on the South Side. Martin Maldonado continues to get playing time. Pedro Grifol defends not pinch hitting for his inept catcher in the finale and what a defense it is. Will your fandom be broken if the Sox trade Crochet or Robert Jr.? John Schriffen honors Hawk? And finding the joy during a horrible season. Thanks for the continued support. Go Sox. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/good-guys-talk-back/message
Hey Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox (15-45) were swept by the Milwaukee Brewers and are on a historically bad pace as their losing streak hits eleven games. Andrew Vaughn and Andrew Benitendi are hurt, Crochet continued to impress, Tommy Pham was ready to fight and Pedro Grifol butters up to his boss. It's been a brutal season and an embarrassment on so many levels so we try to reason with our fandom during some White Sox therapy. Thank you for joining the conversation. Go Sox. #WhiteSox --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/good-guys-talk-back/message
Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox (14-33) were swept by the New York Yankees over the weekend. It was the seventh time this season that the Sox have been swept. Brad Keller was designated for assignment, Bryan Ramos landed on the IL but is on the mend and Eloy Jimenez played some right field. John Schriffen took a jab at The Score 670 and Tommy Pham is playing for his ticket out of Chicago. The Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles are on deck for the last place Chicago White Sox. Thank you for the continued support. #WhiteSox --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/good-guys-talk-back/message
Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox (12-29) took three of four from the first place Cleveland Guardians and have now won nine of their last sixteen. Bryan Ramos continues to play, Garrett Crochet continues to impress and Jordan Leasure continues to provide hope. With the Sox playing some better baseball, have you found reasons to get excited? Luis Robert Jr. hits a speed bump in his recovery and Martin Maldonado keeps getting playing time. Robbie Grossman was traded away to Texas... so who's next? Up this week: White Sox host Washington then go on the road to face the New York Yankees. Thanks for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/good-guys-talk-back/message
Sox fans! The Chicago White Sox (8-26) took two of three from the St. Louis Cardinals after being swept by the Minnesota Twins. Tommy Pham has added a spark and prospect Bryan Ramos got the call. Will he be used sparingly or will the Sox give him a serious look while Danny Mendick battles a back issue? Garrett Crochet was solid in the finale against the Cardinals but Perdro Grifol talks about a possible move to the bullpen as his innings ramp up. New play-by-play man, John Schriffen, was called out for a mispronunciation and it was lazy as well as misguided. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/good-guys-talk-back/message
Sox fans! The Chicago White Sox got their sixth win of the season after sweeping the Tampa Bay Rays out of the South Side. Sox are now (6-22) and battle the Minnesota Twins and St. Louis Cardinals in the coming week. Lots of roster moves have been made and Tommy Pham has officially joined the big league club. Andrew Benintendi unleashed the power with a pair of home runs and six RBI to help the cause against the Rays on Saturday. Chris Getz finally starts saying the things he should have said last fall and is Erick Fedde good as gone when the deadline comes. Thanks for the continued support. Go Sox. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/good-guys-talk-back/message
Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox have found new ways to embarrass themselves and this past week was beyond disappointing. The offense continues its ineptitude and the defense has reached new lows. Debuts by Nick Nastrini and Jonathan Cannon provided some rest from the bleak outlook. Lenyn Sosa has been demoted and Danny Mendick is set to join the big league club. Why is Pedro Grifol still managing the White Sox? Do you have faith that a serious managerial search will ever take place under Jerry? The Sox are historically bad and we're here to talk about it. Thanks for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/good-guys-talk-back/message
Sox fans! The Chicago White Sox (2-13) are off to their worst start in franchise history. Over one hundred twenty years of baseball. It was ugly this past week as the Sox lost a series in Cleveland and were swept by the Cincinnati Reds on the South Side. Bad baseball has been played and the results have put the White Sox at the bottom of the entire league. Is this what Jerry Reinsdorf wanted? Can Pedro Grifol keep his job? The Sox lost Yoan Moncada to an adductor injury but are bringing Tommy Pham on board. Only 147 games left. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/good-guys-talk-back/message
Sox fans! The Chicago White Sox (1-8) split a rain shortened series with the Atlanta Braves and then were swept by the Kansas City Royals. The Sox are bottom of the barrel in most offensive categories including runs scored. It's not just bad, it's historically bad. The lone bright spot continues to be Garrett Crochet. Both Eloy Jimenez and Luis Robert Jr. are on the injured list and we wonder where the finger should be pointed? Are the players to be blamed? The coaching staff? Both? Mike Clevinger is back with the White Sox and Lenyn Sosa gets another shot. Is there a chance Pedro Grifol gets fired this season or will Getz protect him? Thanks for the continued support. Go Sox. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/good-guys-talk-back/message
Hey Sox fans! The Chicago White Sox (0-3) were swept by the Detroit Tigers to start off the 2024 campaign. Each loss was by one run but there were some troubling occurrences in the series. Sox struggled to get on base and were 1-for-14 with runners in scoring position. The White Sox failed to hold on to a three run lead in the 2nd game of the series then lost in extra innings. Luis Robert Jr. hit two home runs but Eloy Jimenez came up short in two critical moments then injured himself in the series finale. Garrett Crochet was dominant on Opening Day and new play-by-play man, John Schriffen, took in the experience from the parking lots. Thanks for the continued support, Go Sox. #WhiteSox --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/good-guys-talk-back/message
Sox fans! Spring training is wrapping up and decisions are looming as the Chicago White Sox still need to trim down their roster. We know that Mike Moustakas and Jesse Chavez will not be in the picture but what about Braden Shewmake or Gavin Sheets? Opening Day is fast approaching and are you finally getting excited for White Sox baseball? Will you be there for Garrett Crochet's historic start? Michael Kopech has impressed out of the bullpen but can it last? Could we see Colson Montgomery on the South Side this season? What prospects didn't get a fair shake? Steve Hasman from Future Sox joins the conversation. Thanks for the continued support. Go Sox. #ChicagoWhiteSox #WhiteSox --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/good-guys-talk-back/message
Hey Sox fans! It finally happened: Dylan Cease was traded. Some favorable prospects come back from San Diego and the latest rebuild is in full swing. Sox received a few arms that might be ready to help out this season. Michael Kopech's journey towards the starting rotation took a turn this past week as the announcement was made that Kopech will be starting the season in the bullpen. Grifol said he knows who the starter will be on Opening Day but will keep it a secret. Crochet and Leasure continue to impress while Shewmake is sidelined with an ankle injury. Reports from Spring Training and the surprising Pedro Grifol Quote of the Week. Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox are (4-11) in Cactus League play and have the worst run differential (-36) in all of Spring Training. It's the just the spring though, right? Oscar Colas was one of the dozen cuts made by the White Sox. What percentage of miles per hour does Pedro Grifol want from him moving forward? Ex Royals pitcher, Brad Keller, was signed by the White Sox to a minor league deal. Can the Sox adopt an old KC logo for the 2024 season? Michael Kopech continues to struggle in the first inning and Grifol is noncommittal on the five man rotation. The navigation of the desert life is a struggle. Thanks for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox #ChicagoWhiteSox --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/good-guys-talk-back/message
The Chicago White Sox are (3-8) during Cactus League play. So far, the offense has been inept however Eloy Jimenez and Yoan Moncada have been bright spots. Moncada has mentioned to Pedro Grifol that he would like to bat 2nd this season. Grifol said that Moncada is one of the best bunters on the team. Dylan Cease, Michael Kopech and Garrett Crochet saw action this past week. Crochet has impressed, striking our Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout. Grifol continues to talk about indefinable qualities and a certain type of baseball he wants to play but the specifics are lacking. Battles continue for utility spots and Oscar Colas plays first base. Thanks for the continued support.
