Hey Sox fans! Lots of emotions this past week. Horrible execution in Houston, although it was nice to see Davis Martin have a solid start. What was Peters doing? Despite some disappointing production with runners in scoring position, the Sox won a series against the Twins with an exclamation mark in the finale. Colson Montgomery, Munetaka Murakami and Miguel Vargas each have 30 home runs and Kyle Teel has rejoined the team. New renderings have surfaced of what the future Sox ballpark could like look three miles North of their current location. Where are the pinwheels? Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. Our Chicago White Sox won a pair of series and are eight games over .500 and have a Magic Number of 23 to win the AL Central. What a difference a year makes. Sox are making history right now as we slide in September but some of our usual suspects are rather quite. Mune, Antonacci and Meidroth remain silent while Peters, Benitendi and the bullpen have created the spark. Wins are wins and the Sox need to just keep at it. Up and down will continue to happen but, hey, it's better than another 100 loss season. With 32 games left on the schedule, the Sox have a magic number 29. Guys like Peters, Kay, Grichuk and Mune have made Getz look pretty good yet acquisitions of Castillo, Bart, Doyle and Brazoban have not had nearly that same effect. Keep wining the series. Sox utilized a bullpen day and over came a tough Burke start to create more distance in the AL Central. Miguel Vargas and Munetaka Murakami bash home run 28 and Colson Montgomery is not far behind with 26. Now is a great time to believe if you have not already. Sox head North to face a very tough Cubs team. Can Luis Castillo follow up on his gem against Cincy? One thing is for sure, this team does not quit. Thanks for the continued support. Hey Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. Our first place Chicago White Sox continue to have their ups and downs but they turned it on when it mattered. Sox took two of three from Cleveland and now have Detroit nipping at their heels. It was a long time coming but The Sox finally retired Ozzie Guillen's number thirteen. Such a powerful ceremony, followed by an outstanding Sox win. Lots of baseball left and hopefully the bullpen can find some rhythm and guys can stay relatively healthy. Sox fans! The Chicago White Sox are in first place and it's August. Feels good to feel good. Goodbye Seranthony Dominguez, hello Luis Castillo. Fedde moves to the bullpen. Are there more moves on the way? Catcher? Another starter? Chris Getz seems ready to wheel and deal if the chemistry and fit is right. The Sox split with New York and took two of three in Tampa. The Sox outscored the Rays 15-3. Right now the South Siders are in control and if you have not started believing in this team to at least win the division, it's time to start. Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. It was Munetaka Murakami bobblehead day on the South Side and he absolutely delivered. Two home runs and six RBIs to help the Sox beat up on Houston. Murakami has been relatively quiet since returning from his hamstring injury. Hopefully this is the start of another run. The Sox are enjoying a 2.5 game lead in the Central and should be planning to be buyers. With Teel being out, is a catcher the focus or should the Sox land a starter or bullpen arm? After many months of speculation the Sox did indeed select Roch Cholowsky with the number one pick. They also drafted Jim Thome's son. The Sox have a well earned break then get back at it in Toronto. Series wins against Cleveland and Kansas City furthered their dominance at home. An absolute beating of the Royals in the series opener has helped catapult the Sox to a +18 run differential. It's been great having Teel back and hopefully Murakami is on his way in a few weeks. The Sox need to prove that they can win on the road and a series against Baltimore then a big one in Cleveland is the test before the All Star break. Thank you for the continued support. Can we trust Domiguez as a closer? The Sox need to have a short memory and soak up the energy of the South Side because Cleveland will be a tough foe. Kyle Teel is looking more and more like he's ready for his 2026 Sox debut. Maybe Schultz in the not too distance future? Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox just had one amazing week. The Sox took two of two from the Atlanta Braves then took two of three from the LA Dodgers. Outstanding performances from Davis Martin, Chase Meidroth and the new kid on the block: Braden Montgomery. The Sox are tied with Cleveland at the top of the Central and have a big week on the road in New York and Detroit. This team is special and with Teel on his way, it's a great time to be buyers. Sox offense continues to produce even without Murakami. Antonacci and Peters are a joy to watch and even Benintendi has stepped it up. The rest of the month is very tough and without reliable pitching, it will be a disaster. The Sox need to get more consistent outings from their starters and far better performances from their relievers. Should Getz buy at the deadline? What are you willing to mortgage? Our South Siders are 11-3 against the AL Central and are trailing the Guardians by one game. The injury to Murakami is a big deal and the Sox will miss him greatly but guys will step up to fill the void. This White Sox club is not a one trick pony. The Sox were in a much different spot last year so should we just be happy they are (26-26) or is it okay to want a little more. After a rough trip out west, the Sox head back home and host a pair of AL Central rivals: The Twins and the Tigers. The Sox attacked with the long ball and then demonstrated their versatility with some small ball while getting great pitching from Schultz and Burke. The Sox have not hit the 11 win mark after 28 games since 2022. That year they finished the season 81-81. Murakami had a big week and Montgomery joined in on the long ball fun. The inability to win in extra innings or even just win at home is maddening. The beatable Angels come to town for three then the Sox are off to San Diego. Thank you for the continued support. Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox took two of three from the A's after being swept away by the Rays. Murakami put on an absolute show in Sacramento. He kicked off the series with a moonshot and hit three home runs in three games. Noah Schultz pitched twice since our last episode. His debut was forgettable but his outing in the series finale against the A's was a nice rebound. Sox continued to infuriate with runners in scoring position and nobody out while also giving us heartaches with bullpen meltdowns. After an up and down week, the Sox have not made it to the 8 win mark this quickly in four years. Feel the momentum. #WhiteSox

Hey Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox struggled to find wins this past week. They were swept by Baltimore and then split with Kansas City. Starting pitching was solid but the offense was nearly non existent. Murakami has been in a lull and the big hits just were not there. The Sox are not getting blown out but the losses are still frustrating. There is always hope and it is arriving this week. Noah Schultz will make his White Sox debut and hopefully there will be more to come. It's 2017 all over again as the youth movement takes another step forward. Thank you for the continued support. Hey Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox gave us a pretty nice weekend. The Sox swept the defending AL Champs by flipping last week's script. They pitched well, got guys on base and were aggressive while also taking advantage of their opponent's mistakes. Hopefully the momentum will carry into this coming week. Hey Sox fans! Baseball has been back for less than a week and we already need a reset. Our Chicago White Sox were embarrassed in Milwaukee by the brew crew. The finale looked promising until the Sox bullpen gave up six runs and blew it. Sox pitching, offensive production and Benitendi need to make a change. One of the only bright spots was Munetaka Murakami hitting three home runs in three games. Sox are off to Miami then come home to face the Toronto Blue Jays on the South Side. Reese McGuire has been brought back and Korey Lee is not expected to make the Opening Day roster. What's next for Lee? Kyle Teel sounds very optimistic regarding his injured hamstring. The Sox honored Ken Griffey Jr.'s short lived South Sox career with a bobblehead and the young kids continue to play well. But, the big news in White Sox world was the unfortunate passing of 2005 World Series champion, Bobby Jenks. Bobby, 44, passed away after a battle with stomach cancer.
