Fantasy Baseball Live – June 7, 2026 – 3 pm ETSegments 1 and 2 – Review of the weekend gamesAdditional Notes:1.Tanner Bibee with a great game on Saturday. They announced on the game that he was the least supported starter in baseball this season.2.Imai with another good start on Saturday – 5 IP, 5 hits, 2 ER, 8K/3BB. That's three in a row, including the no-hitter.a.Is he turning the corner?3.Sure it was the Angels, but Roki Sasaki looked great on Friday. 7 IP, 2 hits, 0 ER, 10K/2BB. He's been particularly good over his past four starts.a.Has he turned things around?b.Who would you rather have the rest of the Season – Imai or Sasaki?4.Royce Lewis is back in the Majors. I wrote last week that he was red hot and would likely see a return. Here's what I wrote.a.What are you thoughts on his return?Royce Lewis is making a loud statement for a return to Minnesota. In 13 games, he's hit 10 home runs and posted a .358 average. More importantly, his average exit velocity sits at 94.1 mph — a massive improvement over the woeful 87.9 mph he produced earlier with the Twins. He's still expanding the strike zone a ton, so the approach hasn't really changed. So why is he performing better? Some of it is BABIP correction, but only to a point. His .250 mark in Triple-A is better than the .215 he ran in Minnesota, yet still well below league norms. The real driver is simple: he's hitting the ball much harder. The caveat, of course, is that it's a tiny sample, and when you hit 10 home runs in 13 games, your EV is going to look inflated.Looking deeper, he's become a dead-pull hitter, and his long injury history has likely contributed to a gradual decline in exit velocity over the years. Will the EV fully return? Maybe. But can he stay healthy long enough for that to matter? My best guess is that he normalizes around 89–90 mph. With his leveraged swing, that still makes him a 20-homer bat. Given the aggressive approach, a modest batting average — something around .250 — feels realistic.I do think he'll return as a viable MLB player, but the superstar trajectory he once flashed doesn't look attainable anymore. At the same time, he wasn't as bad as he looked in April and May with Minnesota. The encouraging news is that he's hot, he's motivated, and he's forcing the issue. If the Twins wanted to see a spark before bringing him back, they're getting it. They'll surely say he “made an adjustment,” and maybe he did, but with samples this small, it's nearly impossible to prove through the data.5.Bryce Miller has been money since returning from the IL – 1.33 ERA, 29K/5BB in 29 innings.6.Zebby wins again on Friday. Is he an every time starter now or are you holding your breath every time out?a.Order these pitchers the rest of the season – Gage Jump, Zebby, David Sandlin, Christian Scott7.We crushed Matt Chapman on Friday and that night he went 2 for 3 with 8 RBIs – a grand slam and a three-run home run.a.Fantasy managers – You're welcome!Segment 3 – Waiver WireSegment 4 – Closer ReportClose

Gio wonders if Juan Soto cares that his team stinks since he's still hitting well, then questions if former Mets coach Jeremy Hefner is the real reason the Braves staff is number one or if they just always have guys. Jerry returns for an update, but the show spends a lot of time on weiner pills. In baseball, the Yankees shutout the Royals behind Ben Rice's production, the Mets beat the Reds thanks to Carson Benge's RBIs, and Rays pitcher Jonathan Heasley vomits on the mound. Finally, Mike Vrabel is asked if he needs more time off, and SGA sends a cease and desist letter to Underdog Sports over videos of him flopping.
Andy talks to DV after a four-hit night with three RBI in the Dodgers 15-6 win over the Rockies. Andy now leads the MLB with 49 RBIs.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Lots of games last night and lots of blowouts. Michael Harris II (Braves) and Mookie Betts (Dodgers) both had huge nights. The Dodgers and the Yankees both put up 15 runs. Vaughn Grissom has six RBIs and a grand slam for the Halos. And Chase Burns picked up his 7th win of the season - all of that and more tarps come off, this time in Charm City.
All three of our teams got their teeth kicked in last night, so we're naming and shaming. The A's waste Gage Jump's debut while Emerson Hancock shoves, the Tigers let Vaughn Grissom hang six RBIs on them (grand slam included), and the Rockies give up 15 runs and five bombs to the Dodgers in front of 52,000 people. We rip through the whole Tuesday slate — Yankees hanging 15 on the Royals, Braves–Red Sox turning into a sweat, the Cubs' skid getting uglier in Pittsburgh, Brewers bullying the Central again, Rangers–Astros turning into a home run contest, Phillies stealing one in San Diego, D‑backs punching the Giants in the mouth, and more. Then it's standings and pain: AL West clown car, NL Central power, how far the Tigers and Rockies are from “respectable,” plus the injury/transaction hits that actually matter — Aaron Civale to the IL and Gage Jump up, Logan Henderson's back barking in Milwaukee, Luis Robert Jr. and Tyrone Taylor both shelved, Craig Kimbrel patching Tampa's pen, Alejandro Kirk to the 60‑day, Noah Schultz down on the South Side. If you're an A's/Tigers/Rockies sicko or just like watching MLB chaos from a safe distance, this one's for you. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Shohei displayed a masterclass in double duty last night. He led off the game with a homer and then pitched five scoreless innings. The Braves' Dominic Smith has to be tired this morning. He hit a major league home run in the sixth and then had a little league home run in the eighth. The Nats CJ Abrams is now in a three-way tie for MLB's RBI lead. He had three RBIs last night. And Nasim Nuñez stole his league-leading 21st base. The Rays and the Brewers broke out the brooms in a big divisional series. FYB.
Al Rosen wasn't just the American League MVP in 1953, he was one of the most dominant, driven, and intellectually fascinating figures the baseball has ever seen. In this episode of Sports' Forgotten Heroes, we take a deeper look at the life and career of the “Flip,” a man whose peak was as powerful as almost any player of his era. From his rise with the Cleveland Indians to his extraordinary 1953 season, when he hit .336 with 43 home runs and 145 RBIs and came within a fraction of the Triple Crown, we examine what made Rosen not just great, but historically significant. But Rosen's story goes far beyond numbers. The adversity he faced as a Jewish player in a time when antisemitism was far more overt, and the fierce, often intimidating intensity that shaped both his success and his reputation inside the clubhouse. Rosen was never a typical star. He was outspoken, highly intelligent, and unafraid to challenge authority, which made him both respected and, at times, misunderstood. After his playing career was cut short by injuries, Rosen brought that same sharp mind to the front office, where he helped build winning organizations with the Yankees, Astros, and Giants. His impact on the game extended well beyond his playing days, influencing how teams evaluated talent and constructed rosters. This episode goes beyond the highlight reel to tell the full story of a player who burned bright, battled through obstacles, and left a lasting imprint on baseball history. Al Rosen may not always be the first name mentioned among the greats, but by the end of this conversation, it's clear he should be far from forgotten. Joseph Wancho, author of the book, "Hebrew Hammer, A Biography of Al Rosen, All-Star Third Baseman," joins the podcast for a wonderful conversation about one of baseball's greats.
The Mets got a huge 6-3 victory over the Yankees to even up the subway series and one of the key contributors was Mark Vientos who notched 3 RBIs and after the game he met with Pat McCarthy on the field to discuss the game and getting a win over their crosstown rivals.
Happy Friday (5.15.2026): The Reds destroyed the Nats 15-1. Chase Burns was outstanding: 6 IP, 0 ER, 7 Ks. Dane Myers had a home run and a web gem catch in center field. Ke'Bryan Hayes had two hits and two RBIs. The Cards had a dramatic come-from-behind victory to beat the A's. Jordan Walker saved a home run in the first inning and hit a home run in the 6th. Walker's double to right at the top of the 9th secured the Cards' comeback. The Mets broke out the brooms against the Tigers. Soto, Vientos, Baty, and Semien all had homers - all of that and more on today's Finish Your Breakfast.
Was Graig Nettles one of the greatest third basemen to ever play… or just another name lost in the numbers? This episode of Kenny The Sports Guy Podcast dives deep into one of baseball's most debated Hall of Fame snubs. A 22-year MLB veteran, Nettles crushed 390 home runs, drove in over 1,300 RBIs, and anchored championship teams with the New York Yankees. He was a six-time All-Star, a two-time World Series champion, and one of the best defensive third basemen of his era. So why isn't he in Cooperstown? We break down the real reasons: A .248 career batting average that never wowed voters Limited accolades compared to peers at a stacked position Playing in the shadow of legends like Mike Schmidt and Brooks Robinson And a Hall of Fame voting system that dropped him off the ballot in just four years But here's the twist—advanced stats tell a different story. Nettles posted around 68 WAR, one of the highest totals for any player NOT in the Hall of Fame . So did voters get it wrong? This episode asks the tough question: Was Graig Nettles truly snubbed… or just not quite elite enough?

The Phils are 7-1 under new manager Donnie Baseball, and are now tied with the Nats and Marlins for second in the NL East. Follow for more—DM BBM for merch information.
The Knicks dominated Game 1 against the Sixers by 39 points, marking the best four-game run in Knicks history. Jerry shares the sounds of the crushing win and players being asked if they are peaking too early before we hear Michael Kay's John Sterling homage on the Judge home run and Aaron Boone's thoughts. With the Yankees winning 14 of 16 and the Mets beating the Rockies as Mark Vientos had two RBIs, we hit the NHL playoffs and the Met Gala, where Ben Stiller went to the gala instead of the game while Timothee Chalamet went to the Knicks game instead of the gala.
Jerry starts with the sounds of the Knicks crushing the Sixers. Reporters asked Knicks players after the game if they are peaking too early. We heard Michael Kay with an homage to John Sterling on the Judge HR call. Aaron Boone was on the Carton Show and talked about Sterling. Yanks have won 14-of-16. The Mets beat the Rockies as Mark Vientos had 2 RBIs. Jerry went around the NHL playoffs.
The young star shortstop is 7-18 in his last five games with 2 HRs and 5 RBIs. Matt is excited about Oneil Cruz and how he is hitting against lefties. Matt explains how routine ground balls are so routine for hitters that sometimes, they don't run it out and it's why we like Jake Mangum's effort because you never know if there will be a bobble. Is Shohei Ohtani the greatest baseball player of all time?
Hour 3 with Bob Pompeani, Joe Starkey, and Matt Clement: Dennis Santana has a strikeout pitch and has as many blown saves as saves. Do you have confidence in Santana as their closer? Matt doesn't think the Pirates view Santana as their David Bednar closer. The Pirates need another dominant relief pitcher. Matt would put Carmen Mlodzinski in the back end of the 'pen. Konnor Griffin is 7-18 in his last five games with 2 HRs and 5 RBIs. Matt is excited about Oneil Cruz and how he is hitting against lefties.

Pirates survive in Milwaukee and take another road series from an NL Central opponent. Tyler and Neil break down the 6-3 extra-inning win over the Brewers, including Mitch Keller's steady start, Don Kelly's quick hook to Isaac Mattson, another strong night from the bullpen, and how the offense found a way against Jacob Misiorowski's ridiculous velocity. Plus, Konnor Griffin keeps showing signs, Nick Gonzales keeps finding RBIs, and the Pirates move to 16-11 with another win that feels a little more real than lucky. Jerry has the sounds of a Mets win! Mark Vientos ran through the stop sign and got nailed at the plate, but redeemed himself with a bloop single RBI. Carlos Mendoza was asked about Lindor's calf injury. Yanks beat Boston and Rosario had all 4 RBIs last night. Also, Knicks preview and an exciting win for Dallas in the NHL playoffs.

And speaking of home runs, Black players, American-born Black players contributed 5 home runs and 8 RBIs in a BBM instant classic in DC last night. All of that and more on Finish Your Breakfast.

Finish Your Breakfast (4.17.2026): Trout and Judge finished their epic series in the Bronx. I believe the final count was 22 home runs between the Yankees and Angels in four games. Trout had 5 HR and 9 RBIs. Judge had 4 HRs and 5 RBIs. Jo Adell hit the big one yesterday, a grand slam in the eight inning. Angels won the game and tied the series. And, Jo Adell's three-home run-robbing glove is going to Cooperstown. All of that and more on FYB.
We open with calls on Francisco Lindor's struggles and MetLife price gouging, including a debate on Lindor's lack of RBIs at leadoff. Jerry updates on a Lindor defensive misstep, a Devin Williams grand slam, and post-game reactions from Carlos Mendoza. After the Yankees' comeback victory and NBA play-in news, Mike Florio shuts down Chris Simms on the Dianna Russini situation. We wrap with Boomer's lunch in Carteret, plus new of a man claiming the world's smallest micro-penis.
Brandon Lowe has 11 RBIs in his last three games and homered off a lefty last night, but Don Kelly pinch-hit Nick Yorke. We all disagreed with the decision and thought that Lowe would potentially bat again in the game. Drew Allar is visiting the Steelers today. Is Drew Allar a realistic proposition? Poni took a major shot at Bob about the Penguins.
Hour 1 with Bob Pompeani and Joe Starkey: Brandon Lowe has 11 RBIs in his last three games and homered off a lefty last night, but Don Kelly pinch-hit Nick Yorke. We all disagreed with the decision and thought that Lowe would potentially bat again in the game. Drew Allar is visiting the Steelers today. Is Drew Allar a realistic proposition? Poni took a major shot at Bob! Should the Steelers draft Drew Allar?
There is no other way to say it, Mixtape family showed out on Monday. Judge and Grisham hit two home runs for the Yankees. They beat the Angels 11-10. Jeremiah Jackson hit two home runs in the O's come-from-behind victory against the DBacks. Josh Naylor hit two home runs (5 RBIs) in the Mariners' win over the Astros. Lawrence Butler saved a home run, then hit one against the Rangers. CJ Abrams took Paul Skense over the wall. And Byron Buxton became the all-time home run leader at Target Field. All of that and more on this episode of FYB.

Two weeks into the 2026 MLB season and it is already completely unhinged. Both New York teams are simultaneously on five-game losing streaks — a first in MLB history — and somehow that's not even the wildest part of the week. The Yankees started 8-2 and looked like the class of the AL East. Then the bats went completely silent — a .199 team average, 29th in baseball — and five straight losses followed. The rotation has been elite, but the offense can't cash in. And then Jazz Chisholm Jr., in a contract year where he's demanding $35 million annually, blamed the cold weather for his slow start and then cost his team an extra-innings game by admitting he didn't know the force out rule. His manager's defense? “That's just what he says to reporters.” Which is somehow worse. The Mets aren't in much better shape. Juan Soto is on the IL with a calf strain and not close to being cleared to run. Francisco Lindor — two-time Gold Glover, $341 million man — has been making mental errors his own manager says he's “never seen.” Forgotten outs. Getting picked off adjusting his batting gloves. Leaving second base completely uncovered. Four straight losses and an offense that can't hit with runners in scoring position.Meanwhile in Pittsburgh, Konnor Griffin debuted at 19 years old, played six games, and signed a $140M extension — the richest rookie deal in MLB history, locking him in alongside Cy Young winner Paul Skenes through 2034. José Ramírez hit a home run against his 29th different team AND broke a franchise games-played record that had stood since 1918 — in the same week. Mason Miller still hasn't allowed a run since last season. And Drake Baldwin is leading the league in RBIs through two weeks. Two weeks in. We're already losing our minds.Tap into Episode 721 of the Productive Conversations Podcast—available now on all podcast platforms and YouTubeYankees (4:40)Jazz Chisholm (13:52)Mets (25:19)Konnor Griffin (32:37)Stats of the Week (40:15)Early Standing Surprises (50:30)ABS System thoughts (58:23)---------------#trending #podcast #podcast #podcasts #baseball #mlbBest way to contact our host is by emailing him at productiveconversationspodcast@gmail.com or mbrown3212@gmail.com Apple Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/productive-conversations-with-matt-brown/id1535871441 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/7qCsxuzYYoeqALrWu4x4Kb YouTube: @Productive_Conversations Linktree:https://linktr.ee/productiveconversations
Craig Carton and Chris McMonigle dive into one of the most ridiculous (and hilarious) debates in sports: is it RBI or RBIs? It starts with a simple text to Aaron Boone and quickly spirals into a full-blown argument involving grammar, baseball tradition, and even “woke” terminology. Then things escalate when Carton texts Michael Kay LIVE on air and confirms what Yankees fans will love.
Craig and Big Mac analyze the Mets' defensive strategy following a frustrating loss and the lack of offensive production from both New York baseball teams. They dive into a wild conspiracy theory regarding Bill Belichick's potential involvement in the Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini scandal. Additionally, they discuss the Knicks' victory over the Celtics and debate the proper terminology for RBIs. 01:20 - Mets Defensive Strategy Farce 06:45 - New York Baseball Power Outage 12:10 - The Great Analytics Debate 16:04 - Knicks Lock Up Three Seed 23:20 - Mark Jones Leaves ESPN 26:50 - Belichick and the Vrabel Scandal 37:03 - Miguel Rojas and Playoff Expectations 47:30 - The RBIs vs RBI Argument
Finish Your Breakfast (4.6.2026): A full slate of games in MLB on Easter Sunday. Every team played, and the Cubs and Guardians played two (S/O to Ernie Banks). James Wood (Nats) hit his second homer of the season, but the Nats could not avoid the sweep by the Dodgers. Mookie Betts was placed on the IL with a strained oblique. The Braves' Drake Baldwin had a day: 3-5, 4 RBIs, 1 HR, but the Braves lost to the Diamondbacks 6-5, and split the four-game series. Marcus Semien and Devin Williams helped lead the Mets over the Giants 5-2. Jo Adell did what he does best (not home run robberies): he knocked in a run to tie the game against the Mariners. Angels won 8-7. All of those highlights, and more, on your daily dose of Black baseball news and highlights.
Finish Your (Easter) Brunch (4.5.2026): Yes, I took the morning off and attended Sunday service with the family, but I'm still here with your daily dose of Black baseball highlights. The story of Saturday had to be Jo Adell's hat trick of home run robberies. The last one on JP Crawford was unreal. Adell is known more his power, but he is proving he can flash the leather in right field. Congratulations are in order for CJ Abrams. His twelve RBIs in the Nats' first seven games is a modern-day franchise record. Kudos to Justin Crawford for the first stolen base of his MLB career. Jordan Walker (STL) and Cam Smith (HOU) both hit homers on Saturday. Jack Flaherty (DET) and Kumar Rocker (TEX) both had solid outings on the bump. All of that and more on Easter Sunday. Finish Your Easter Brunch.
Finish Your Breakfast 4.4.2026 (Nats Home Opener): I was on hand to cover the Nats home opener. The weather was great, the energy was high, and the back-to-back World Champion Dodgers were in town. I chopped it up with several of my favorite players and got a few great Mixtape polaroids. Much more content and coverage coming soon. To recap the day in Black baseball, several players showed out: Lawrence Butler was player of the game for the Athletics (3-5, 4, RBIs, HR), Josh Bell had two RBIs in the Twins' win. Aaron Judge led the Bombers over the Marlins. There were homers from Xavier Edwards and Marcus Semien. And Jordan Walker made one of the best throws of his career.
Phillies rookie Justin Crawford got his first RBI (run batted in) of the season. It was a big one. His walk-off single in the 10th capped a Phillies comeback. They were down 5-1 going into the bottom of the 7th. Crawford, 22, has a .412 batting average, a .444 on-base percentage, and a .471 slugging percentage so far. He's looking more comfortable in center field. The Phillies are now 3-3 on the season.Meanwhile, in St. Louis, Masyn Winn's single in the bottom of the 11th gave the Cardinals a 2-1 walk-off victory over the Mets. After the game, it was reported that Winn was in a car accident, but he appears to have avoided major injury. His condition will be monitored in the coming days and weeks.Over in Baltimore, the O's Sam Basallo made history yesterday. His bottom of the 9th ABS challenge is the first to result in a game-ending decision. Basallo went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. The O's beat the Rangers 8-3. Elsewhere, the Braves' Drake Baldwin has been raking. Last year's NL Rookie of the Year went 2-for-5 with four RBIs last night. Baldwin would have had even more, but A's center fielder Denzel Clarke robbed him at the fence. The Braves are now 4-2 on the season, the A's 1-5.Turning to Miami, Sandy Alcantara threw a 93-pitch complete game shutout against the White Sox. Despite the strong performance, only 6,505 paid to attend. Alcantara, 30, acknowledged the sparse crowd, saying the fans don't come—but the team loves them anyway. The Marlins are now 5-1.Josh Bell hit his first home run of the season for the Twins, while Jo Adell notched his second RBI of the year for the Angels. Despite their efforts, both the Twins and Angels fell. Meanwhile, the Yankees secured another win, bringing both the Yankees and Brewers to 5-1 records.
Finish Your Breakfast: 3.31.2026. There are no more undefeated teams in Major League Baseball. The Dodgers, Blue Jays, Yankees, Brewers, and Marlins all took Ls last night. The White Sox, Giants, Diamonbacks, and Rockies picked up their first wins. The Reds' Chase Burns looked dominant in a win over the Pirates. The Phillies' Taijuan Walker struggled against the Nats. Wood, Abrams, and Lile all had RBIs for the Nats. There was a Hill Boys reunion in ATL. Aluvie hit two out, and Correa looks like Brooks Robinson. All of that and more: FYB.
