Sox fans! Welcome back to a brand new episode. Our Chicago White Sox had a rough week on the road. They went (2-4) against Minnesota and Philadelphia. Sox offense continues to produce even without Murakami. Antonacci and Peters are a joy to watch and even Benintendi has stepped it up. The rest of the month is very tough and without reliable pitching, it will be a disaster. The Sox need to get more consistent outings from their starters and far better performances from their relievers. Should Getz buy at the deadline? What are you willing to mortgage? Live like there's no tomorrow or be patient and build for the future? Thanks for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox

Chuck Garfien sits down with White Sox rookie Sam Antonacci for a discussion that dives into both his personality and the style of baseball that has quickly connected him with fans on the South Side. Sam talks about life inside a clubhouse full of gamers, why he embraces an old-school mentality in today's analytical era, and how he tries to impact games in ways beyond hitting for power. He also reflects on his first career home run that turned into an unforgettable inside-the-park moment and explains why winning means far more to him than any individual stat line. Chuck and Sam also get into the relationships that have helped shape his rookie season, from sharing a locker area with Mike Vasil to reuniting in the organization with former teammate Rikuu Nishida. Sam shares stories about the personalities inside the clubhouse, discusses growing more comfortable in left field, and talks about hitting in front of Japanese slugger Munetaka Murakami in the lineup. He also opens up about the pride he feels every time he puts on a White Sox uniform and why he believes fans have embraced the edge and mentality he brings to the field.
Matt Spiegel and Laurence Holmes discussed a few mistakes that White Sox infielder/outfielder Sam Antonacci made in the club's loss to the Mariners on Monday.
Munetaka Murakami got to double digits in the HR column on the road in Arizona and leads the league in Home Runs. Sox Optimist joined the crew to discuss Antonacci in LF, Bob Nightengale news on Roch Cholowsky, and a potential Vargas trade. Tune into OJ breaking down the Ozzie Sr & Alex Cora news!

Marshall Harris and Mark Grote reacted to the breaking news that the White Sox have promoted infielder Sam Antonacci from Triple-A Charlotte.
Chuck Garfien sits down with White Sox Triple-A manager Chad Pinder to break down one of the organization's biggest storylines: the rise of Noah Schultz who is about to make his MLB debut. Pinder shares his first impressions of Schultz, whether he was surprised by how quickly the left-hander reached the big leagues or if any key adjustments helped spark his early-season jump. He also takes us inside the moment Schultz got the call to the majors and the reaction from teammates. The conversation also dives into the hot start of Sam Antonacci, highlighting his baseball IQ, defensive transition to the outfield, and areas still needing development—while Pinder reflects on making a similar jump himself with the Oakland Athletics. Plus, updates on top arms Hagen Smith and Tanner McDougal; insight on managing Shane Smith after his return to Triple-A; and a look back at Pinder's own major league debut...that included a pair of coincidences.
After a rough 1-5 start, the White Sox are an even 5-5 over their last 10 games with some more excitement along the way. Noah Schultz will be making his MLB debut on Tuesday, and Jordan Lazowski, Nik Gaur, and Brett Haffner are here to talk about it and much more! They start by talking about the confirmed call-up of Schultz and rumored call-up of Sam Antonacci. What does "success" look like for Schultz this year? And how can Antonacci bring a missing element to a struggling White Sox offense? At the same time, Schultz's promotion comes to fill in Shane Smith's spot in the rotation after he was sent to Triple-A after just three starts. Was this too quick of a change by the team for someone who was their Opening Day starter? How quickly could we see Smith return? And what does this all say about some of the changes made to the pitching department in previous years? Finally, the crew talks about the offense - Will Venable and the White Sox don't seem to be concerned, but should they be? Make sure to tune in to a packed episode!

Welcome to Episode 148 of Tablesetters, where we cover everything happening across the world of baseball. Tonight's WBC special focuses on one of the biggest surprises of the 2026 World Baseball Classic so far — Italy's 8–6 upset of Team USA in Houston, a result that completely reshapes the race in Pool B. For most of the night, Italy controlled the game from the start. The breakthrough came in the second inning when Kyle Teel launched a 347-foot solo home run off Nolan McLean to give Italy a 1–0 lead. Moments later Sam Antonacci crushed a 403-foot two-run homer, scoring Jac Caglianone and suddenly putting the Americans in a 3–0 hole. Italy struck again in the fourth inning, when Caglianone blasted a 403-foot two-run home run off Ryan Yarbrough, stretching the lead to 5–0. Meanwhile, Michael Lorenzen delivered exactly the start Italy needed, throwing 4.2 scoreless innings and holding a lineup featuring Aaron Judge, Bobby Witt Jr., and Kyle Schwarber almost completely silent. The game nearly slipped completely away from Team USA in the sixth inning, when Italy pushed the lead to 8–0. The rally included a fielder's choice that scored J.J. D'Orazio after a Brad Keller throwing error, a Dante Nori sacrifice fly, and Antonacci scoring on a Keller wild pitch. But the Americans finally responded late. Gunnar Henderson put Team USA on the board with a 414-foot solo homer in the sixth, and the comeback accelerated in the seventh when Pete Crow-Armstrong crushed a three-run homer, cutting the deficit to 8–4. The pressure continued in the eighth, when Roman Anthony drove in Kyle Schwarber with an RBI single, bringing the Americans within 8–5. Then in the ninth, Crow-Armstrong struck again, launching a 402-foot solo home run to make it 8–6 and bring the tying run to the plate. But Italy closer Greg Weissert ended the comeback by striking out Aaron Judge, sealing the upset. The final numbers were unusual: Italy scored eight runs on just six hits, while Team USA outhit them 11–6 but committed two costly errors. The loss leaves the United States 3–1 in Pool B, meaning their fate now depends on the final pool game between Italy and Mexico. If Italy wins, Team USA advances as the runner-up. If Mexico wins, all three teams would finish 3–1, forcing a complicated tiebreaker based on runs allowed per defensive out recorded — a scenario made dangerous for the Americans after allowing eight runs in this game. In a tournament where momentum can change instantly, Italy didn't just pull an upset — it turned the entire pool upside down.

Money keeps moving while the world sleeps, and the rails behind it are evolving fast. We sit down with Pat Antonacci, Chief Product Officer at The Clearing House, to break down how CHIPS, ACH (EPN), and RTP each power a different promise - liquidity, scale, and always‑on finality and why that mix is reshaping how businesses and consumers move funds.Pat explains why CHIPS dominates high‑value cross‑border flows and how its netting algorithm delivers 30:1 liquidity savings that matter on volatile days. We trace ACH's steady rise, including same‑day and intraday growth, and dig into record holiday peaks that reveal the hidden rhythms of settlement. Then we go deep on RTP: eight years in, 98% of U.S. real‑time traffic, rising daily volumes, a $10 million limit, and use cases spanning account‑to‑account moves, brokerage funding, wallet top‑ups, gig payouts, loan disbursements, and tuition deadlines that can't wait until Monday. The conversation tackles big questions: Are rails competing or complementing? Where are checks being displaced? How do Request for Payment and ISO 20022 unlock cleaner data and fewer exceptions? We explore the 2026 landscape - APIs, cloud, AI‑driven fraud controls, open banking momentum and why the smart strategy is matching the rail to the job: ACH for routine batches, RTP for precise timing and finality, and CHIPS for high‑value, cross‑border certainty. Pat also previews The Clearing House roadmap, from broader RTP ubiquity and fraud tools to extended CHIPS hours that bring wires closer to continuous availability. If you care about how money actually moves and how that movement shapes cash flow, customer trust, and the broader economy, this conversation is your field guide.

Abstract: Odorant processing presents multiple parallels across animal species, and insects became relevant models for the study of olfactory coding because of the tractability of the underlying neural circuits. Within the insect brain, odorants are received by olfactory sensory neurons and processed by the antennal lobe network. Such a network comprises multiple nodes, named glomeruli, that receive sensory information and are interconnected by local interneurons participating in shaping the neural representation of an odorant. The study of functional connectivity between the nodes of a sensory network in vivo is a challenging task that requires simultaneous recording from multiple nodes at high temporal resolutions. Here, we used fast two-photon microscopy to follow the calcium dynamics of antennal lobe glomeruli and applied Granger causality analysis to assess the functional directed connectivity among network nodes during and after olfactory stimulation. Our findings show that there is a significant causal coupling between network nodes also in the absence of olfactory stimulation. However, connectivity patterns change upon odorant arrival, showing an increase in connection density and conveying odorant-specific information. Furthermore, we show that causal functional connectivity is unique in individual subjects, and cannot be detected upon artificial glomerular scrambling across individuals. This demonstrates that network states do not consist solely of correlations of mean glomerular responses, which are known to be conserved across bees. Copy rights belong to original authors. Kathryn interviews Shroud of Turin expert and attorney Mark Antonacci JD, author of “Test the Shroud: At the Atomic and Molecular Levels”. This book supports the theory that 21st century atomic and molecular level testing will prove once and for all that the Shroud of Turin is the burial cloth of Jesus. Antonacci has the backing of several well-known scientists around the world and is petitioning the Vatican for these tests to be conducted. Antonacci has spent over 30 years studying all aspects of this evidence. Kathryn also interviews Ellen Kahn LCSW, Director of the HRC Foundation Children, Youth & Families Program. HRC represents a force of more than 1.5 million members and supporters nationwide. As the largest national lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer civil rights organization, HRC envisions a world where LGBTQ people are ensured of their basic equal rights, and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work and in the community.
