Also, great to see Andres Munoz get back on the horse and the expanding maturity and DNA of Emerson Hancock. Puck and John differ on the situation. Also, financial numbers were revealed how much WSU athletics will be earning next year in a congressional hearing. However, it doesn't sound like they were accurate and John has the details. Brad Adam, Mariners TV joins from his Baltimore hotel room to talk Mariners, disgusting Baltimore crab, Emerson Hancock stern chat with Jhonny Pereda, Andres Munoz and they veer off and start talking golf courses on the road and Puck is trying to get Brad to play a course in Florida when he travels to Miami later this summer. “On This Day…” A milestone for Ken Griffey Jr. and history made in horse racing. Thor noticed that Ken Griffey Jr. was taking pictures at a Yankees game the other day. This really bothered him because they spoke of him as if he really grinded to get that job. Well that led to him finding more and more celebrities whose careers are basically over taking on other gigs and using their name to get the job rather than other people who actually worked hard to get the job and he lets us hear all about it in this week's Midweek Meltdown.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Ric Bucher breaks down a dizzying NBA playoff picture, from the Thunder and Spurs looking like rising Western powers to the Trail Blazers once again appearing trapped behind better-timed contenders. Ric also explains why building around international stars such as Giannis Antetokounmpo may be the safest path for NBA franchises in today's trade-demand era. Then Ric digs into why ring culture has warped how we judge stars like Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, James Harden and Joel Embiid before turning to the Magic-Pistons series, Jalen Duren's sudden passivity, Paolo Banchero's aggression and Cade Cunningham's massive playoff workload. Finally, Ric takes on the LeBron James-Bronny James playoff moment, arguing that while it may be meaningful to the James family, the public celebration ignores how power, access and nepotism shaped the opportunity.Time Stamps: 00:00 Intro + Ric's new book on coachability 02:00 NBA playoff picture feels upside down 02:23 Thunder, Spurs, Blazers and bad timing in the West 03:23 Giannis-to-Portland rumors and international-star loyalty 04:46 Why NBA teams should build around foreign stars 05:38 Ring culture and how we underrate Chris Paul, Westbrook, Harden and Embiid 07:20 Playoff vertigo: Hawks-Knicks, Sixers-Celtics, Magic-Pistons 08:02 Why Magic-Pistons is not a “historic upset” 09:31 Jalen Duren's playoff struggles vs. Orlando 11:28 How Paolo Banchero is changing the series 13:53 Is Duren a true No. 2 on a contender? 15:36 LeBron and Bronny's “historic” playoff moment 18:57 Why Bronny's Lakers role is not like Ken Griffey Jr. and Sr. 20:36 Nepotism, power and Kirk Lacob's Warriors path 23:24 Why Bronny hype went too far after Game 3 25:44 ClosingHashtags: #NBAPlayoffs #LeBronJames #BronnyJames #GiannisAntetokounmpo #JalenDuren #PaoloBanchero #CadeCunningham #OrlandoMagic #DetroitPistons #TrailBlazers #Thunder #Spurs #OnTheBall #RicBucher #UnitedWeCastSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/bucher-and-friends. Baseball's back for the summer of 2026 and what better way to get in the mood than to take a look at one of the most electrifying sports stories of all time...the 1998 Major League Baseball Home Run Record Chase. This epic chase to break the hollowed home run record started off with 2 known power houses , Ken Griffey Jr. and Mark McGwire chasing Roger Maris' hollowed record the previous 4 seasons .These previous outings injected excitement back in to the sport after the catastrophic MLB strike of 1994 that cut off Griffey's record pace by 50 games and saw the cancelation of the World Series. Fans tuned out in droves and baseball's favor was at an all time low. Then by June of 1998 a little known Sammy Sosa threw his cap in to the race to make it a 3 man race to 62 HR's by season end. Griffey would cool down ("only" hitting 56 homers ) but Big Mac and Sammy would go neck and neck and surpass the record at 70 and 66 HR's by seasons end in dramatic exciting fashion. Mike and Jesse are back as Mike shares the story of the biggest and most valuable sports card collection he's ever seen in person. The collection includes six-figure Shohei Ohtani cards, 1/1 autos, high-end Mike Trout, Bobby Witt Jr., Ken Griffey Jr., Albert Pujols and more, along with what Mike actually bought and how a deal like that comes together. From there, they get into the reality of moving big cards through eBay Live, why some cards make more sense for consignment, and what stood out after handling that much high-end inventory at once.Later in the episode, they react to the ongoing Topps website issues and ask a question a lot of collectors are asking right now: if regular buyers still cannot get product at launch, what does that mean for the long-term health of the hobby? And does Topps have any reason to change a system that keeps frustrating collectors? They also talk Fanatics Fest and the new Game Plan crossover bringing business and celebrity names into the space, then close with a fun mailbag covering modern parallels, favorite card colors and refractors, and whether 1990s inserts still have room to grow. Welcome to Tablesetters, where early-season baseball storylines are evaluated through context, projection, and structural impact rather than isolated spring highlights. As camps begin to stabilize, several early narratives are beginning to shape the broader landscape of the 2026 season — from international competition to emerging prospects and roster uncertainty around the league. We begin with the return of the World Baseball Classic, which arrives just as MLB spring training reaches its most competitive stretch. The tournament brings together 20 national teams competing across Tokyo, San Juan, Houston, and Miami, running through March 17. Japan enters as the defending champion after defeating Team USA in the 2023 final, while the United States returns with a roster built to pursue redemption. The Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Puerto Rico also enter the tournament with lineups capable of making deep runs. Exhibition games leading into the tournament have already produced early signals. Team USA delivered one of the loudest statements, routing the San Francisco Giants 15–1. Paul Skenes dominated in his outing, striking out four hitters across three innings without issuing a walk, immediately reminding everyone why he has quickly become one of the most overpowering pitchers in the sport. Offensively, Alex Bregman launched a home run while Roman Anthony — a late addition to the roster after Corbin Carroll suffered a broken hand — delivered a two-run homer. The lineup surrounding them featured star power throughout with Aaron Judge, Bryce Harper, Bobby Witt Jr., and Byron Buxton. Japan's preparation was less smooth. Samurai Japan dropped an exhibition game despite a solo homer from Masataka Yoshida, a reminder that even the defending champions are still working through early-March rhythm. The tournament officially begins when Chinese Taipei faces Australia in Tokyo, opening the round-robin stage where five-team pools compete for two quarterfinal spots. Team USA opens its tournament Friday against Brazil before quickly facing Great Britain, Mexico, and Italy as Pool B begins to take shape. From international baseball we move to a structural shift arriving in Major League Baseball this season: the Automated Ball-Strike challenge system. Rather than replacing home plate umpires entirely, the league is introducing a hybrid model. Each team begins a game with two challenges, and only the pitcher, catcher, or hitter can initiate a challenge immediately after a call. If the challenge is successful, the team keeps it. Spring training has quickly become the testing ground for how teams will actually use the system. The Minnesota Twins have been among the most aggressive teams in challenging calls, leading the league in overturned decisions early in camp as they experiment with the margins of the strike zone. Meanwhile, the Athletics have stood out for efficiency, posting the highest challenge success rate in baseball so far by winning roughly seventy percent of their appeals. Leaguewide data suggests about half of all challenges are overturned, reinforcing the idea that the biggest edge may belong to players with elite strike-zone awareness rather than teams that simply challenge the most. Spring training has also produced several intriguing individual and organizational storylines. In Detroit's system, Kevin McGonigle is beginning to look like one of the most advanced young hitters in professional baseball. The 21-year-old shortstop recently opened an exhibition game by launching the first pitch he saw from former All-Star Luis Severino for a home run. McGonigle's combination of strike-zone discipline, elite contact ability, and emerging power recently earned him an 80-grade hit tool evaluation, the highest grade scouts can assign to a hitter. In limited spring action he has posted a .400/.471/.667 line, further reinforcing the belief that he could eventually become one of the defining hitters of the Tigers' next competitive window. In Colorado, the organization's long search for stability at first base continues more than a decade after Todd Helton's retirement. This spring that conversation centers around Charlie Condon and TJ Rumfield. Condon, the third overall pick in the 2024 draft out of Georgia, arrived in professional baseball with one of the most dominant offensive seasons in recent NCAA history, hitting 37 home runs while batting .433. His raw power could eventually play extremely well at Coors Field. Rumfield represents a different profile — a more experienced hitter who spent all of last season in Triple-A hitting .285 with an .825 OPS. Colorado now faces a familiar decision between accelerating a high-upside prospect or relying on the steadier upper-minors bat. Atlanta is dealing with a far more complicated roster situation. Jurickson Profar is facing a potential 162-game suspension after testing positive for a performance-enhancing drug for the second time within the past year. Under MLB's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program, a second violation results in a full-season suspension and forfeiture of salary. Profar is expected to appeal the decision through the MLB Players Association, which leaves the Braves in a difficult holding pattern as they attempt to plan their Opening Day roster. If the suspension stands, Atlanta will suddenly need to replace a projected middle-of-the-lineup bat. Finally, one of the most closely watched prospects in baseball continues to generate attention in Pittsburgh. Konnor Griffin, the 19-year-old shortstop and the No. 1 prospect in the sport, has already launched three home runs in limited Grapefruit League action. Griffin's power-speed combination has drawn comparisons to some of the most dynamic young players in the game. Last season he hit .333 with 21 home runs and 65 stolen bases across three minor league levels, eventually finishing the year at Double-A. The bigger question now is timing. If Griffin were to make the Opening Day roster, he would become the first teenage hitter to debut in the majors since Ken Griffey Jr. in 1989. The Pirates may still choose to delay that debut for development or service-time reasons, but early spring performances are beginning to make that decision far more complicated. Spring training often produces noise, but the themes beginning to emerge this year feel more substantial: the return of baseball's biggest international tournament, a technological change that could reshape the strike zone conversation, and a wave of young talent preparing to define the next era of the sport. The season is approaching quickly. And the real signals are starting to appear.
Former MLB pitcher Matt Clement joined the show. Matt talked about the challenge players may have going from Spring Training to the World Baseball Classic, back to spring games then the regular season. He said the schedule can be wonky for someone like Paul Skenes, who is pitching for Team USA. The guys pointed out some pitch limits for guys in the WBC. Matt doesn't think Skenes will go close to a 95-pitch limit in a game with the US. Matt thinks a deal happening could be the difference between Konnor Griffin being on the Opening Day roster and not – no deal likely means he will start in Triple A. The guys asked Matt about meeting Tony Gwynn and a loaded Padres team that was fresh off a World Series appearance. Matt said he was in awe of pretty much everything during his first spring. Matt talked about Gwynn's masterful work at the plate and how he could have hit more home runs if he really wanted to. Matt was surprised to find out he never gave up a HR to Ken Griffey Jr. Matt had some funny stories about facing Barry Bonds early in his MLB career. We looked through some other funny Matt stats from his playing days.
How much longer are we going to wait around for Aaron Rodgers? Do the Steelers have a deadline on it? Poni's moles indicated that the Steelers would know yesterday about Rodgers, but if they do, the secret has survived 24+ hours. With legal tampering starting on Monday, how much longer can the team afford to wait? Last year, the Steelers bowed down and waited around for Rodgers to make his decision, but how much of that had to do with Mike Tomlin? The guys wondered if the Kenneth Gainwell situation is a tell as to where the Steelers are with Rodgers. Is anyone out there pounding the table for Rodgers? It feels like it's more of an acceptance than actually wanting Rodgers back. Daniel Jones just got tagged for $37M by the Colts. Does that make people feel better about Aaron Rodgers? People just love a bargain. Former MLB pitcher Matt Clement joined the show. Season 7, Episode 24 of Sports Fellowship with Fox and Frank is officially The Willie Mays Episode — because in Frank's book, Willie Mays is the greatest all-around baseball player to ever step on a diamond. Kobe Bryant? Ken Griffey Jr.? Great choices. But this week, the Say Hey Kid gets the nod.Dan and Frank open in the post-football lull of the sports calendar — though as they quickly prove, there's never really a slow week. The Cowboys dominate early discussion, starting with Dallas franchise-tagging wide receiver George Pickens. Frank applauds the move, arguing that the Cowboys wisely avoided backing up the Brinks truck for a long-term deal given Pickens' “knucklehead” reputation — even if he's essential to keeping the offense competitive. Then comes the real cap-space debate: Brandon Aubrey. One of the best kickers in the NFL wants elite money — reportedly around $10 million per year. Is that justified? Or is paying a kicker that kind of money a luxury a defensively-struggling team simply can't afford? Dan makes the hard cap argument, while Frank wrestles with how often kickers truly swing outcomes. It's roster construction vs. clutch performance — and the Cowboys' front office has tough decisions ahead. From there, the conversation shifts to the NFL Combine — or as some call it, the “Underwear Olympics.” Do 40-yard dash times for offensive linemen really matter? Does bench press strength translate to Sunday performance? Dan questions whether the Combine is more made-for-TV spectacle than football evaluation — and floats a bigger idea: why doesn't the NFL formally partner with the UFL to give third-string quarterbacks and developmental players real game reps? The discussion becomes a broader critique of how the league handles player development. The Olympics segment brings passion back to the forefront. The guys celebrate Team USA's dramatic gold medal victories in men's and women's hockey — both 2–1 overtime thrillers over Canada — and reflect on how rare it feels to simply enjoy a patriotic sports moment without controversy. They tackle the media backlash surrounding political narratives, White House invitations, and postgame reactions, ultimately arguing that the Olympics should be about representing your country — period. Then comes a fascinating debate sparked by a CNN article: Norway tied the U.S. in gold medals and surpassed America in total medals at the Winter Olympics. Why? Norway claims it's because youth sports in their country emphasize fun, participation, and no scorekeeping until age 16. Dan isn't buying it. He argues the explanation is cultural and geographic — winter sports are embedded in Norway's identity in ways they simply aren't in most of America. It becomes a deeper look at how culture shapes athletic pipelines, why the U.S. dominates in basketball and football, and why hockey participation remains limited compared to Canada and Scandinavia. The episode closes with updates from MLS correspondent Daniel Hooks (including Champions League and upcoming U.S. national team matches), a shout-out to Ignite and Tony Dungy, and reflections on faith, community, and church life at First Baptist Church of Phillipsburg. As always, the show wraps the only way it knows how: loving sports, loving Jesus more, and inviting listeners to be part of both conversations.Special Thanks to:Fox Brothers Alarms - https://foxbrothersalarms.comFirst Baptist church of Phillipsburg NJ http://www.fbcpburg.org/

Welcome to another episode of The Rizzuto Show, the daily comedy show that proves nostalgia is just disappointment with better branding.Today's episode kicks off with the downfall of childhood “investments,” as Magic: The Gathering collectors accuse Hasbro of flooding the market and tanking card values — which immediately sends the crew spiraling into baseball card trauma. Remember when a Ken Griffey Jr. rookie card was supposed to pay for college, a house, and early retirement? Yeah… about that. From there, things take a turn toward the supernatural when we ask the important question: can a rock band curse an NBA team? After an arena employee blames a satanic-looking concert for the Orlando Magic's losing streak, we dive headfirst into modern Satanic Panic, Ghost's spooky theatrics, and whether teams should sage their arenas instead of practicing defense. Then it's off to Westeros, where the new Game of Thrones spinoff raises serious questions — like where everyone goes to the bathroom, why HBO is obsessed with realism in the weirdest ways, and whether giant fake dongs are now part of the network's brand strategy. Things escalate quickly as the crew debates gratuitous nudity, legacy characters, and which original GoT character would theoretically win a very unnecessary competition. The back half of this daily comedy show delivers a full round of Crap on Celebrities, including music collabs, Super Bowl ads released way too early, outrageous ticket prices, Dirty Dancing sequels, James Bond movies that aged like milk, and a Ken doll promo video that is genuinely unsettling. Add birthdays, pop culture hot takes, and classic Rizz Show derailments, and you've got another beautifully unhinged episode. If you like your pop culture commentary sarcastic, your nostalgia roasted, and your comedy slightly concerned for humanity — welcome home.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshowConnect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MOSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
In this episode of Sports the NEMO Way we bring the best Reds starting 9 to the table for discussion. The Reds a lot of great players on this team. A lot of Hall of Famers and one player who should of been a Hall of Famer decades ago but it took him dying for them to usher him in, but without me being a Debbie downer lets just appreciate the Reds in all their glory instead of harping on the MLB big mistakes in the past. With that said have a great day everyone and see you all next week ... Peace.
What does the producer of Wedding Crashers, Serendipity, and Van Wilder know about building brands? Turns out—a lot. This week on On Brand, Andrew Panay shares how Hollywood storytelling principles shape not just hit movies but also unforgettable brand stories for companies like T-Mobile, Microsoft, and Anheuser-Busch. What You'll Learn Why originality—not imitation—is still the most powerful creative strategy How Hollywood storytelling principles can strengthen brand storytelling The fine line between risk and reward in brand work Why celebrating success starts with knowing your “why” How T-Mobile's storytelling edge became a creative advantage Episode Chapters (00:00) Intro (00:30) From Hollywood to branding (02:00) The disconnect between filmmakers and brands (03:30) What Wedding Crashers teaches us about 30-second storytelling (05:00) Capturing attention in seconds, not minutes (08:00) Creativity, evolution, and staying uncomfortable (10:40) Originality vs imitation in marketing (20:30) Balancing elegant risk with commercial success (25:00) The brand that made Andrew smile (27:30) Where to learn more about Panay Films Andrew Panay is the founder and CEO of Panay Films and a veteran Hollywood producer whose movies—including Wedding Crashers, Serendipity, and Van Wilder—have grossed more than $800 million worldwide. Beyond film and television, Panay brings his storytelling craft to branded content and advertising for companies such as T-Mobile, Microsoft, and Anheuser-Busch. His signature approach blends cinematic storytelling with strategic brand thinking, creating work that moves audiences—and the business forward. What Brand Has Made Andrew Smile Recently? Andrew pointed to Nike for a recent campaign during the World Series. The spot used a clever mashup of sound, attitude, and nostalgia—culminating with Ken Griffey Jr.'s signature backward cap and mischievous grin. For Andrew, it was the perfect example of creative “juj”—that mix of confidence, playfulness, and truth that makes great storytelling irresistible. Ken Griffey Jr. is one of the greatest baseball players of his generation.A first-ballot Hall of Famer, Griffey Jr. defied his generation's appetite for performance-enhancing drugs. He didn't need it. All he needed was.. PURE.. GRIFF.Also, Griffey, Jr. happens to be Jay's favorite baseball player of all-time, so I am going to save the sardonic comments for once (Mariners suck).
Mike and Jesse analyze the recent trends in the sports card market, focusing on the rising values of iconic players from legends like Kobe Bryant, and Ken Griffey Jr., to Willie Mays. But they're not the only ones whose market is up. The guys also delve into the factors driving these changes. Today's discussion also covers the impact of modern players such as Patrick Mahomes and the role of investment groups in shaping card values. It's Mighty Monday, and Ryan is here to dive into one of his favorite movies ever: Little Big League.ABOUT LITTLE BIG LEAGUEWhen his grandfather dies, 12-year-old Billy Heywood inherits the Minnesota Twins baseball team — and decides to manage them himself. Navigating locker room politics, skeptical players, and the pressures of big league life, Billy tries to prove that heart (and kid logic) might just beat experience.AIR DATE & PLATFORM FOR LITTLE BIG LEAGUEJune 29, 1994 | Theatrical ReleaseCAST & CREW OF LITTLE BIG LEAGUELuke Edwards as Billy HeywoodTimothy Busfield as Lou CollinsJohn Ashton as Mac MacnallyAshley Crow as Jenny HeywoodKevin Dunn as Arthur GoslinJason Robards as Thomas HeywoodDirected by Andrew ScheinmanBRAN'S LITTLE BIG LEAGUE SYNOPSISIt's little league baseball time, folks, and little Billy Haywood is a bit of a baseball genius. He knows all the rules and even helps the ump with a call. Unfortunately, he's not very good at actually playing baseball himself. Billy's grandpa, Thomas, comes to watch him play, and he just seems like a normal grandpa—until we find out he's filthy rich and owns the Minnesota Twins.Billy goes to a Twins game with Grandpa, and it's clear all the players know and love him. Grandpa convinces Billy's mom to let him come back on Tuesday night to see Roger Clemens pitch. But when Billy gets home to get ready, he finds out Grandpa has passed away—and left the team to him.Billy takes this responsibility seriously. When he decides he doesn't like how the manager is running things, he fires him. After a brief search, Billy appoints himself as manager. The players are skeptical, but Billy promises that if he doesn't get the last-place Twins moving up the standings in a few weeks, he'll resign.Things start rocky, but after Billy implores the team to just have fun and fall in love with baseball again, they begin to win. Meanwhile, Billy's life outside baseball starts to shift. His buddies notice he's always busy, he has to bench one of his favorite players, and things get complicated when his mom starts dating one of his players—Lou. To make matters worse, Billy curses out an ump in front of his mom. When his mom decides to go out with Lou for her birthday, Billy spite-benches him, which leads to a losing skid. Eventually, Billy admits he's not having fun anymore and tells his mom he's tired of being a grown-up. He apologizes to the team and reinstates Lou.The Twins bounce back, and after winning their last games, they face Seattle in a one-game playoff. Down to their final out, Lou steps up to the plate. Before batting, he tells Billy he asked his mom to marry him, and she said, “Ask Billy.” Billy tells him he can marry her whether he hits a homer or not.Lou faces Randy Johnson and smacks a long fly ball to center—it looks like a home run, but Ken Griffey Jr. robs it. Season over.Billy tells the players he's officially stepping down as manager. They push back, but he insists he'll still be around as owner. The movie ends with Billy being told no one has left the stadium—they're all cheering for him. He goes out for the curtain call. Hour 1 We started with a great night of baseball for the locals, with the Yankees clinching a playoff spot and the Mets coming back to beat the Cubs. It felt like a special night for the Mets. And where is Keith Hernandez? Is he sick? Jaxson Dart is starting for the Giants this weekend at home against the Chargers. Even though Russell Wilson had a great game against Dallas, he threw terrible interceptions last week. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Yankees beating the White Sox and clinching a playoff spot. We heard the sounds of Howie Rose as the Mets came back to beat the Cubs as Brandon Nimmo had a 3-run game tying HR. Francisco Alvarez homered in the eighth which ended up being the game winner. Al actually had a new song about Jaxson Dart. Mike ‘I'm a man, I'm 40' Gundy was fired by Oklahoma State. In the final segment of the hour, WFAN producer Brian Rascona told Gio that Ken Griffey Jr was walking around the Ryder Cup and nobody seemed to notice him. Hour 2 Jaxson Dart is getting the start for the Giants this week. Nobody really talks about the pressure a quarterback faces in their first real NFL game. Boomer brings it up, but you don't hear many other people talk about it. It's different from the pre-season. Boomer likes Dart's attitude compared to some of the other rookie QBs that came to the Jets and Giants. Jerry returns for an update, but first Gio wonders if the teams being bused back and forth for the Ryder Cup are listening to the show. Jerry starts with Ian Poulter criticizing American golf fans. Brandon Nimmo hit a game tying 3-run homer as the Mets beat the Cubs. Francisco Alvarez ended up hitting what ended up being the game winning HR. The Yankees beat the White Sox and clinched a playoff spot. The Guardians have overtaken the Tigers and former WFAN Adam ‘The Bull' was so excited he made a weird noise. In the final segment of the hour, a caller wonders if Daniel Jones will get a big contract in Indianapolis (he will hang up and listen). Hour 3 We started the hour with the Jets as they play in Miami on Monday night. One of these teams is going to be 0-4. There is pressure on Mike McDaniel and Tua. In 2 of the 3 games, the Jets were very competitive. A caller wonders why the Giants even brought Russell Wilson in if they had already signed Jameis Winston. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Howie Rose and the sounds of the Mets beating the Cubs to get back in charge of their own destiny. Brandon Nimmo hit a game tying HR and Francisco Alvarez hit the eventual game winning HR. Jerry compares ‘douche bag says what' from the 1990s to ‘Boomer will cream pie me' from this morning. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Gary Cohen's comments last night about a Cubs player missing a game to attend Charlie Kirk's memorial service. We continued arguing about the phrase, ‘control your own destiny'. Hour 4 Nicole Rae from Skratch Golf is in the studio to talk about the Ryder Cup. They hosted us for our trip to Pebble Beach as well. Jerry returns for his final update of the day, but first Gio gives us alcohol prices for drinks at the Ryder Cup. Jerry starts with the sounds of the Yankees beating the White Sox as Caballero had a walk off single. We heard Howie Rose on the call as Francisco Alvarez homered making it 9-7 Mets. Micah Parsons was asked how it will feel when he sacks Dak this weekend. The Moment of The Day: Al has a new song, reminding Gio of marriage. In the final segment of the show, WFAN producer Brian Rascona checks in from the Ryder Cup.
The Big Dumper passes Mickey Mantle and ties Ken Griffey Jr.
Brock and Salk debate if Cal Raleigh's 2025 season is better than any singular season Ken Griffey Jr ever had, and they compare of the seasons between the two. After that, Joel Klatt of FOX Sports joins the show to discuss some of the latest trends in college football, UW and more.
Joe Ostrowski and Sam Panayotovich react to Cal Raleigh making history last night by tying Mickey Mantle and then leaping Ken Griffey Jr. for the most Home Runs ever in a single season by a switch hitter. Plus, what to make of more of the latest Quarterback injury news, with at least five starters status in jeopardy for Week #3.

Plus, what to make of more of the latest Quarterback injury news, with five Signal Caller's status in jeopardy for Week #3. Then, former NFL Pro Nate Collins of the Green Light Podcast stops by, to talk all things NFL, including his thoughts on the Tush Push and why, just how long will Russell Wilson be able to keep the Giants starting Quarterback job, and why are favorites continuing to have so much success? The hour wraps with more regarding the Tush Push and discuss just how vital it is to the Eagles success. Plus, what exactly the defending Super Bowl Champions would look like if the play was banned, following it being used in over 10% of their plays in Week #2.
NFL Week 1 is in the books, and Jesse Gibson and Mike Gioseffi are here to break down what it means for the hobby. They also touch on Justin Fields' card market, Fanatics Fest updates, and how Ken Griffey Jr. and Michael Jordan collectors are shaping the hobby as their disposable income grows. Later, Gordy Bonker joins to preview his new podcast, The Gordy Bonker Show, launching next week on the SCN Network.
