Kelsey had a life many would envy. She grew in a small, affluent town in Florida surrounded by plenty of love, resources and opportunities. After marrying her college sweetheart, Super Bowl Champion and 7 year NFL defensive tackle Nate Hobgood-Chittick, her life continued to be amazing. And then, on November 11, 2017, her healthy, strong and amazing husband died of a massive heart attack in front of their kids while playing with them on a Saturday morning. This is her story of surviving her worst nightmare, and how through this journey, she found gratitude and joy.
When October Gonzalez, now married to (All pro NFL tight end) Tony Gonzalez was a kid, her life did’t seem like it was going to end up as anything close to a fairytale. Growing up with two parents who were addicted to drugs, witnessing domestic violence, and never having the resources or love she needed, life was a challenge. This is the story of how she took those experiences, as well as the loss of her mother at age 15, and became the powerhouse she is today.
