He also emphasizes that it's not just what you eat, but what your microbiome can actually digest and metabolize that makes a difference in your well-being. In this episode, I had the pleasure of talking with Jason Prall, a health educator, practitioner, author, & filmmaker. We discuss the importance of a balanced brain and why the brain becomes neurologically stuck. We also talk about Cereset technology, what it is and how it is changing many lives by utilizing brain-echo technology. How can Cereset sound technology treat brain imbalances and create a relaxed and harmonious mental state? In this episode, Jason Prall and Andrew DeGregorio discuss how they learn about Cereset. They mention that they both faced health challenges that traditional medicine couldn't solve. They turned to alternative healing methods and eventually met, forming a deep bond. Together, they explored different healing approaches and decided to start Cereset, a place offering unique healing technologies to help others. Their goal is to make a positive difference in people's lives by easing suffering and promoting well-being. They were skeptical at first, but seeing Andrew's amazing results and hearing other success stories changed their minds. They explain deeper about Cereset which uses sensors to read brain activity and plays tones back to the person. This helps the brain recognize and fix any problems. They realized that many health issues come from stuck patterns in the body, and Cereset helps unstick them, letting the body heal itself naturally. Cereset is like a brain tune-up using sound. It relaxes the mind and creates new pathways for well-being. It helps with sleep problems, anxiety, PTSD, concussions, and other issues related to brain balance. Discover how Cereset focuses on overall brain harmony instead of targeting specific conditions, which can help with many different problems caused by brain imbalance. If you're listening to this podcast, it's likely that the topics of health and wellness are often on your mind. You probably keep an eye out for the latest superfood discoveries, health hacks and big "no-no" ingredients to avoid. You may even have tried a few of the life-changing products and tools that I use every day to support my energy and wellness. But how often do you contemplate aging and death? We generally avoid these topics in our culture due to the uncomfortable reminder that life is finite. In today's conversation, Jason Prall shares how he's sought out these realities head-on in attempts to understand how people around the world live, age and die. How you live now will determine how you live later, and though we DO all age (if we're lucky!) and die, there are proven ways to mature healthfully and gracefully, manage biological age, embrace discomfort and become clear on exactly what we are living for. Yes, Jason Prall is back on the show to teach us about the famous Blue Zones, hormetic stress and how to become a wise elder. Jason Prall delivers a sensational presentation in this episode on the fascinating topic of human longevity! Rarely have I interviewed such a powerhouse guest, so fasten your seatbelts because this guy brings the heat and you can hardly catch your breath as we cover a tremendous range of topics all centered around longevity. Jason is well-known for his documentary series called Human Longevity Project, and he also recently released a book called Beyond Longevity: A Human Plan For For Healing Faster, Feeling Better, and Thriving At Any Age. We cover so many other topics aside from the basics of eating healthy, exercise, and moderating stress, and Jason's work has led him to doing an incredible amount of research into these topics, which makes him an incredibly passionate and knowledge resource. We have a really practical and grounded conversation that also incorporates elements of appreciation, spirituality, aging gracefully, and according to Jason, “paying attention to all the energetic inputs to highlight the areas that provide the biggest opportunity for improvement.” QUOTES: “If we wish to thrive in the modern world, we must create a mental, emotional, physical, and energetic environment that is congruent with this natural lifecycle.” TIMESTAMPS: Jason brings to us all the latest information on longevity. [00:56] The Human Longevity Project came about from looking at combining all aspects of our current life as well as the spiritual concepts and a deeper understanding of biology. [03:30] What have we learned from the people in the Blue Zone? [07:50] Why do would we want to live to 100? [09:29] We have to concentrate on how we deal with the effects of today's lifestyle with technology and other things that trigger our nervous system. We have adapted to the environment that we're in. [21:26] We all have the capacity to change our mental and emotional framework. [27:03] Do the people in the Blue Zone naturally feel grateful and are they naturally able to manage their attention and priorities without a Google calendar? [28:30] In our culture there is actually an underlying stressor keeping our sympathetic system elevated on a chronic basis. [34:15] The foods that people eat in different cultures vary and they are not labeled bad or good. All foods are bad or good in the right context. Each person is different. [37:50] The people in the Blue Zones eat what is available. They can get away with eating more Starchy carbohydrates because they are on the move all day long. [43:57] There won't be Blue Zones like in the past because modern western influence has emerged. [47:31] It is important to pay attention to all the energetic inputs that provide biggest opportunities for improvement wherever you stand now. Pay attention to the circadian rhythm. [54:28] What did you see that was the impact of Western society as you were going back and forth between these primitive cultures and places like New York City? [01:01:26] The first seven years of one's life lays the groundwork for longevity. [01:07:48] The depth of knowledge and awareness that those centenarians Jason interviewed have, not only acknowledging about their culture and their life and the human experience from their perspective, but they also seem to understand it. [01:18:50] They have a community of safety. They trust that things are going to be fine. [01:21:36] Living a youthful life, hanging out with younger people and pets all help you keep up that youthful spirit. [01:28:44] You have an opportunity every day to establish a new way of being. Through his documentary film series, The Human Longevity Project, Jason Prall traveled to select regions around the world known for their long-lived, healthy populations. He sought to understand not only the longevity secrets of these societies but also the scientific basis underpinning their health wisdom. Through his travels, he came to the realization that while the pursuit of longevity is sexy, it's insufficient and hollow—what most of us really want is an extended life filled with vibrant health, meaning, and purpose. We want to thrive as we age. Life is a mysterious process with a natural development, order, and cycle. It is lent to us for a brief moment before the physical body is left behind. If we wish to thrive in the modern world, we must create a mental, emotional, physical, and energetic environment that is congruent with this natural lifecycle. Have you ever wondered what the biggest factor is in determining how long a person lives? Longevity is a topic that seems to be studied extensively, but there's still so much we don't know because we are limited by the lifespan of a human. What we do know is that there are several factors that contribute to a long, healthy life, and gratitude lies at the forefront of these. In this episode with Jason Prall, we dive into the topic of longevity and how you can live a long, healthy life. When it comes to gut health, bone broth is one of my go-to items I add to my diet. But, not all collagen is created equal. Many brands use poor-quality bones and heating methods that remove all of the potent benefits of collagen. And that is why I choose to use Paleovalley Bone Broth Protein Powder, you can get all the gut healing benefits without the mess from a company that uses only 100% grass-fed and finished cows and is not processed with high heat or extracted with harmful chemicals. There are no fillers, flow agents or added flavors. There is only ONE ingredient in this product and it's bovine bone broth protein. That's it. Are hidden toxins and stressors making you feel run down and tired? Are you worried about oxidative stress from exposure to EMF, 5G, heavy metals, chemicals, and processed foods? Toxic is the new normal in our modern world. Toxins in our body take on the role of free radicals, causing oxidative damage on a cellular level that can lead to premature aging and a lower quality of life. One of the most powerful antioxidants known to man is glutathione. It fights free radicals while repairing DNA. However, not all glutathione supplements are created equal. If you're taking it in capsule or tablet form, you're missing out on key nutrients that will pass through your body without being absorbed. Purality Health has a patented formula that utilizes Micelle Liposomal technology which delivers the glutathione nutrients into your bloodstream, which has been proven to be 800% more efficient. What are the key factors that impact how you age and your level of health as you get older? What do we need to be practicing on a day-to-day basis to have increased wellness, which tees us up for a long life? Longevity, aging, and the warning signs that you may not be aging correctly are today's hot topics that are being discussed by Dr. Jockers and Jason Prall. Jason Prall is the creator of ‘The Human Longevity Project'. He's interviewed centenarians (people who are 100 years or older), and visited ‘blue zone' communities where people are aging well. He is also the author of the book ‘Beyond Longevity'. He brings his wealth of experience in the field of longevity to this fascinating episode of Functional Nutrition. There's hope abundant in the form of human ingenuity, as we shape how we age. This is a deep dive into the very meaning of life as we seek to live long and prosper. “The discussion is: how long can we live? And: is aging a disease that needs to be sort of solved and cured? And I think these are very interesting conversations. Fundamentally I actually like the hope and this human ingenuity that we can do anything we want." -Jason Prall Subscribe to the podcast on: Apple Podcast Stitcher Spotify PodBean TuneIn Radio In This Episode: Introduction to longevity How we age, not if we age What's impacting how we are aging? Dose of Leadership with Richard Rierson | Authentic & Courageous Leadership Development
“When it comes to health, it's more collective than individual. You become a product of your environment and it's very easy to be healthy in these Blue Zone areas because that's the way of their life. We have to look at the situation of these healthier places and understand that their culture and societal norms facilitate health. That's easier to do when it's a small society because in a village, everyone has a responsibility and everyone is relying on each other so it's more like a family unit. It's more difficult to be healthy in the USA because you have to do all of the work on your own. We've gone astray as a culture because we've lost our sense of community and societal values due to technology.” – Jason Prall https://www.linkedin.com/in/jasonprall/ At BriteVibe, we believe everyone deserves to be happy, but in today's world everywhere you turn there is division and negativity. When my flabby, foggy and fatigued symptoms started appearing, changing my lifestyle and paying for labs + supplements + practitioners was not in my budget.I was so scared that I'd get so sick, I couldn't work.It was intimidating to consider the investment that I would need to make to get my life back… On top of that, I lacked “people” resources. Finding doctors in Nashville who practiced outside the conventional medicine framework of “your labs are normal” was maddening. I felt overwhelmed and it was a challenge to find my power to step up and go all-in on retaining my quality of life. So I did what I've learned to do when reality seems overwhelming: I went on an inward journey and decided that not only did I need things to be different… I chose to KEEP THE FAITH that I could change the landscape of my life one decision, one step at a time. And one of the biggest a-has my journey has given me was around my own relationship with being supported by other people.Like … that wasn't a thing. I didn't need support from other people, right?………Wow, was my vulnerability around needing others to support me confronting. I was awkward and stiff around this realization for a couple of years, honestly. Needing the Universe to support me, needing to figure out how to financially manifest the resources I needed … It was all a POWERFUL part of my transformation journey. Over time, I started receiving the support I needed: financial resources to invest in my healing doctors and practitioners who were on board with helping me GO DEEP so I could figure out was really making me sick a loving partner who lightens my load and gives me the support I need Jedi tricks and strategies for healing that few have uncovered Amazing friends who hold a safe space for me to be real and honest and completely vulnerable … this has been probably the greatest gift of them all The resources you need can be so much more accessible… you can have more abundance in your life! In this interview with my friend Jason Prall, we unpack how you can begin opening yourself to receiving the amazing support you need to help you heal your body and your soul!
If I honor my sadness and I don't try to get away from it and I feel to the bottom of my sadness, there's really just gratitude that I even get to hold my son, hold my partner, and experience life. That is an extreme recipe for living life fucking well if I can just honor the sadness about that. That is living; honoring the sadness is living. You'll be able to have a more powerful divine connection. Everything will work better and when we first start out on this journey, getting the vitality of the body is super important, especially for the brain and nervous system for radical health transformation." - Dr. John Lieurance Unpacking Fear vs Anxiety "I notice that so many people use the words, 'fear' and 'anxiety' often interchangeably and when I first became sober, I used to just be so consumed with fear. However, as I started to unpack it, I realized that fear is when a wolf walks through the door and your life is in danger; a totally natural, healthy response is to be in fear and get away in that moment. Anxiety is if you're sitting here and there's no wolf on the property and you're obsessively thinking about what would happen if a wolf walked through the door right now. Fear is, in its truest sense for me, something that is immediate and righteous but anxiety is imaginary and always future-based that has no basis in reality. So, how can we uproot that anxiety and have greater open awareness that keeps us grounded in this present moment?" - Luke Storey The Wounded Healer's Magic "The magic really happens when you take yourself out of victimhood and take ownership of your life. When we play the victim, we're just at the world's mercy and totally powerless. Opposite of that, when you transform into the wounded healer, you are the one that carries the real medicine that you get to share with others." - Cal Callahan Botanic Tonics | Feel Free Save 40% on your Botanic Tonics Feel Free order with the code WELLNESS40 at wellnessforce.com/FeelFree A feel good wellness tonic of ancient plants from the South Pacificand Southeast Asia where they've been used socially and in wellness for centuries. Jason Prall joined Dr. Conners to discuss how to awaken the healer within us all. There is a lot you can do to support your body's natural ability to heal using nutrition, exercise, and other outward-in efforts. However, what is often missed is the emotional/mental trauma that can be plaguing us subconsciously, affecting our nervous system, and preventing our body from truly healing.

Today we had Jason Prall on the show from The Human Longevity Film and we were going to talk about longevity and the immune system but we ended up talking a lot about the spiritual, emotional and psychological traumas that prevent us from aging in the best way possible. We talked about recall healing, family constellation therapy and dealing with past traumas in order to prevent them from staying "stuck" in our tissues and organs. Much like eating food, being involved in any kind of trauma must be "digested" by our soul and nervous system. If we allow these emotions and traumas to "flow through" us by using a variety of techniques we can prevent them from being stored in our organs. When these stressors get stored in our tissues and organs, they can restrict blood flow and oxygen to these tissues and therefore stagnation. We all know that stagnation ie lack of movement contributes to disease factors. We talked about all these issues and more with Jason Prall. I hope you enjoy this show! On Last Thing! Jason Prall joined us from the Human Longevity Project and we had a really great time talking about everything he's learned while making, filming and producing his hit documentary, the aforementioned Human Longevity Project. What were the charactistics that allowed people in different cultures to live a long healthy disease free life? What diet did they follow? What foods or lifestyle practices did they eat and engage in? What did these people avoid? Is it possible to live to you're 150 years old in a strong, flexible healthy energetic body? Is that even something to strive for? Would you even want to have that long of a lifespan? How does the idea of having a life purpose change the length of your life? In this show we don't just talk about antiaging (some call it "pro youthing) but we talk about living a full rich and fulfilling life no matter how long that is. Jason Prall shared many of his ideas about longevity and how happiness plays a role in our lifespan. I hope you enjoy this show with mr. Jason Prall from the Human Longevity Project. Please share! We Have Arrived If you’ve been listening to Wellness Force for a while, or if you’ve been with us since the beginning, you know by now that great things tend to take us time, effort, and the hardest one of them all - trusting the process - especially when it comes to our wellness. For episode 200, we spotlight 10 of our favorite moments over the past 200+ interviews, to pull the gems of wisdom, moments of laughter, and the real-life action steps that I've learned to both trust and believe in. I want to share my truth: This entrepreneurial and podcast path has not been 100% rainbows. Even since early childhood, I have known, deep down, that I march to the beat of a different drummer. Maybe you feel that too, and that’s why you’re here. I’ve faced inner and outer demons I wouldn’t wish on anyone, and since I woke up in 2011, I’ve done some really, really, hard work to let go of old stories about genetics, beliefs, and the people and things that don't serve my wellness. But yet as hard as this has been, I’ve also learned that when you operate from a place of love and service to others, and if you really want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it. This podcast has been my home, my work, and my life for 3 years now, and today, I get to give thanks to YOU. Top 10 Wellness Force Guests Aubrey Marcus In episode 196, CEO of Onnit and the author of Own The Day, Own Your Life, Aubrey Marcus, reminds us that we have the power to move on from the past. Film-maker Jason Prall traveled the world to see how vibrant centenarians (100-year-olds) eat, live and go about their lives. In today’s show he discusses what he found. Check out The Human Longevity Project: http://bit.ly/hlpfilm This episode is brought to you by: ➢ Health IQ, a life insurance company that helps health conscious people like nose-breathers, weightlifters, cyclist and keto dieters get lower rates on their life insurance. ➢ Get a Free Quote and see if you qualify: http://healthiq.com/HIH Back to Today's Show... Watch the interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9N56XE8bu8 So why longevity? Well...slowing down the aging process is top of mind for many nowadays. From Botox to surgery, calorie-restricted diets and stem-cells, many people are trying to bring back the past version of themselves. But do these practices help us live happier, longer and more meaningful lives? Film-maker Jason Prall traveled the world to see how vibrant centenarians (100-year-olds) eat, live and go about their lives. (Not surprisingly, Juvederm, Botox and growth hormone weren’t used by any of the 100-year-olds he caught on camera.) In this chat you’ll learn more about: - Common food and dietary patterns amongst centenarians throughout the globe - Why high-carb Costa Ricans stay lean and vibrant into their late 90s - The top non-nutrition factors (light exposure, social connections, etc) that affect longevity -------------------------------------- Key Timestamps---------------------------------- 03:52 An anti-ageing strategy views ageing as a problem. There is a lot of good that comes from ageing. 04:39 Longevity is a mechanism for preserving and prolonging health. 07:27 The centenarians interviewed were not focused at all upon their ageing appearance. They had a deeper appreciation of ageing. 10:06 Our lifestyles are detrimental to longevity. 12:43 Eat organic, local, real, whole foods. 14:01 Find your purpose. It is almost always bigger than yourself. A church or spiritual practice gets you together with like-minded people in community. 15:55 Our social environment results in epigenetic switches/changes. 16:17 Your body is a community of organisms working together. You are the host. 18:41 The centenarians in the film make their own alcohol and consume it with friends and family. Wine was used for digestive purposes. 20:38 Research results are context dependent. Research works best at understanding mechanisms, not in judging the value of things for our lives. 22:03 Eating fruit turns on/off our genes and is different from eating fructose. Your body does not know what to do with fructose creations. 27:43 MicroRNA from food causes a change in our genes. 29:13 Our microbiota throughout our body talk to our mitochondria, which talks to genes. Our microbiota talk directly to genes. Genetic information from our food talks to our genes and mitochondria. Food is also a mechanism of action. 30:31 It may not matter what bacteria are in your gut, it may matter which of their genes are being turned on. 33:46 We have gut yeasts, viruses and parasites that play roles in our health. 42:06 In the long-lived cultures, they ate together. Food preparation required that everyone work together. 45:18 Participants lived a long time because they listened to their bodies, they did what was natural, did what made sense for them and did what was taught to them. 47:45 All of the centenarians had gardens or farms. 53:21 The caffeine in coffee may be doing more damage than the benefits of polyphenols in the coffee. 55:27 Take breaks from certain things or cycle them, 58:31 Before electricity, people went to bed when the sun went down or told stories around a lamp. 01:04:22 It used to be that our minds were calm and our bodies. Now our minds are busy and our bodies are calm. 01:14:24 Birthing, pregnancy and breastfeeding are missing in longevity thinking and planning. 01:15:05 Trauma from childhood or inherited impact our behavior and our biology. 01:16:12 The Centenarian Morning Routine 01:18:15 Different botanicals were prized by centenarians around the world. 01:23:03 Our health comes from the earth. The microbiota of the earth needs to be intact and healthy. 01:26:00 Jason's elevator pitch: Meditate to gain insight and connect with yourself.
To increase lifespan and longevity, practitioners as well as patients need to identify what they are doing incorrectly with their health practices and lifestyles. Jason Prall believes that the biggest component to the destruction of our health is the error in our ways of using technology, our bodies taking in toxins from food production, and even emotional traumas. He teaches people the mental framework of a healthy lifestyle and the emotional components of health, where it comes from and how we can incorporate them in our lives. When it comes to health, it's more collective than individual. We've gone astray as a culture because we've lost our sense of community and societal values due to technology. - Jason Prall What do other cultures have that the USA doesn't as far as increased human health, love, interaction, and longevity? The Human Longevity Project is an upcoming documentary film series that will take you on an exciting journey around the globe, on a mission to discover the secrets of the longest-lived and healthiest populations on Earth. Filmed over 2 years, in over 50 locations, in 9 countries, on 3 continents, this film will uncover the key lifestyle, environmental, and physiological components to avoid chronic disease, increase health span, and put the brakes on aging in our modern world. Featuring interviews from premier scientists, physicians, healers, and health experts – along with real-world footage from around the globe, we examined the daily routines and lifestyle practices that range from preconception to geriatrics, with much more observational and scientific scrutiny than ever before. We will scientifically demonstrate the recipe of a long, healthy life – and how to apply these lessons in our modern environment. At a time when populations of industrialized societies are seeing collective health, quality of life, and the health of the environment decline rapidly, the scientific information and lifestyle practices highlighted in this documentary are absolutely essential to reversing these recent trends and shifting the entire paradigm of chronic disease and destruction of the environment. Power Quotes From The Show [tweetthis]"People are going on these digital detox retreats to try to get back to a normal state of mind. We've gone so far off track that we've forgotten what it's like to connect and technology has propelled us in that direction." - @JasonPrall of @LongeviTFilm http://bit.ly/wfpodcast[/tweetthis] "We fear a future that hasn't even happened yet and we don't know what the outcome is going to be like. Literally, what you do, think, and feel today is what's going to create that fear. So, the longer you sit with that fear, there's a higher chance that those emotions are going to manifest within you and you'll become them. Just reflecting and becoming aware of your emotions will allow you to let go of your fears and let you see how silly they are really are." - Jason Prall "We've created a culture where we're constantly criticizing, comparing, and judging one another. When we look at Facebook and Instagram, who feels confident anymore? Not many people because we're constantly being compared to everybody else and criticized through social media and the Internet. I think we've lost a lot of confidence in who we are and we don't know how to find out who we are because we've lost meaning in our society and culture. We're looking for meaning in the wrong places." - Jason Prall "At the end of the day, these regions and Blue Zones don't matter. Regions don't create longevity; it's what people are doing that builds a healthy lifestyle and we have to learn these same qualities. These places that are known for their longevity aren't going to be known for that 20 years from now. They're going downhill fast and there's a reason that has nothing to do with where they live; there's nothing special about it other than the humans that live there and the decisions they make to live their life." - Jason Prall "Health is innate and it's built within you. Your body is meant to be healthy and we have to start to facilitate that function. We have to allow that to occur and get out of the way a little bit. We have to get out of this mindset that health is all about results and we can only be happy when we reach a goal. If we are constantly focused on the end product and the results in order to feel fulfilled and happy, we're going to run into trouble. First, you have to accept that you decide your happiness; not anybody else. It's literally your decision and if you're not happy right now, that's your choice. " - Jason Prall "Being healthy is very simple, but we make it complex. The process can be difficult to get there, but the answers are easy. We just have to let our guard down and get out of our own way so we're not making being healthily complicated for ourselves. There aren't any shortcuts to getting healthy either. Every time we take a shortcut, we're missing an opportunity. A quick fix sounds amazing, but most people end up broken again and they still end up being unhappy.
