How can you raise kids who follow Christ in a world that constantly pulls them in other directions, and what does it look like to parent with grace, wisdom, and a long-term perspective? In this episode of Carpool Conversations, Amy and Sara sit down with Bible teacher and author Jen Wilkin to talk about the challenges and joys of raising kids who are formed by the gospel rather than the culture around them. Drawing from decades of parenting experience, Jen shares practical wisdom for navigating everything from discipline and boundaries to peer pressure and meaningful family conversations. Together, they discuss the importance of viewing children as image bearers, balancing rules and relationship, and keeping the long view in mind when making everyday parenting decisions. Jen offers encouraging reminders for parents in every stage, helping them trade performance-driven pressure for a deeper trust in God's faithful work in both their children and themselves. Whether you're in the toddler years, navigating the teen years, or somewhere in between, this conversation will encourage you to take a deep breath, hold on to what matters most, and trust that God's grace is at work in your parenting journey. How can something as simple as play help your child grow in their faith, and how can you make play a natural part of your family's everyday rhythms? In this episode of Carpool Conversations, Amy and Sara sit down with Brittany Compton to talk about the powerful purpose behind play. While play often comes naturally to kids, Brittany reminds parents that it is far more than just fun – it's how kids learn, grow, process emotions, build resilience, and connect with the world God made. Together, they discuss how simple, everyday moments of play can strengthen the parent-child bond, create space for meaningful faith conversations, and remind kids that they are loved, valued, and delighted in. From bath time and dinner games to backyard adventures and board games, this conversation is full of practical encouragement for parents who want to be more present and intentional. Whether play comes easily to you or feels like something you have to work at, this episode will encourage you to start small, have fun, and never underestimate what God can do through a few intentional moments with your kids. The sparkle is back on the podcast!  This week, Kelly is in full teacher appreciation mode as she puts together gifts for her kids' teachers. But who scheduled Nurse Appreciation Week and Teacher Appreciation week on the same week? Lizz is basking in the glow of the end of solo weekends with the kids, at least for the time being. Her final weekend without Matty taught her a big lesson for the future: the mall is a great place to entertain the kids! Panda Express, Barnes & Noble and a playground all in one indoor place? Yes please!   Drama erupted in the Stumpe household when Libby's ponytail suddenly appeared on the floor instead of on her head. Who cut it off? The answer will surprise you! At Lizz's house, she is in full potty training mode with James. So it's no surprise that the first items in her Last Three Transaction is all potty training related. Kelly, on the other hand, is experimenting with Amazon fashion finds.  In Industry News, Honda is pulling back on their EVs and relying on their tride and true models. Hmmmm... who could have told you that would happen? Finally in Ditch the Drive-Thru, Kelly is reminding you of some Carpool classics!

So how do parents talk honestly about hard things without overwhelming or frightening their kids? Drawing from her experience as a missionary, parent, and ministry leader, Beth shares practical, faith-filled wisdom for navigating tough conversations with confidence and compassion. Together, they discuss how to discern what to share (and what not to share), signs your child may be struggling even when they aren't saying much, simple ways to create safe spaces for emotional processing, and how families can remain rooted in hope when the world feels heavy. In the midst of tornado warnings, Kelly and Lizz are ready for a new episode of the Carpool. Kelly has been traveling extensively, leading to some new conclusions. The biggest one: be nicer to people! So this week they are encouraging you to be nice to a stranger. Buy a stranger a cup of coffee, offer a compliment or just acknowledge the random person sitting next to you.  Meanwhile in her travels over the weekend, Lizz listened to the decluttering book and realized it was not for her. But some kindness from a stranger made her feel seen. Speaking of books, Kelly has a book club update and a big reveal on the truth behind the exclusive club.  Two advice questions this week have to do with the proper time to trade in your car. Then there is a very interesting one from a mom and her best friend's wedding. Will her friend never forgive her if she skips the wedding for her kid's first day of kindergarten?  In Industry News Kelly has the worst selling cars of 2026 so far. Finally in Ditch the Drive-Thru, Kelly is making ground chicken pizza and Lizz has some roast drama.

In this episode of Carpool Conversations, Amy and Marissa sit down with author, speaker, and podcast host Tara Sun to talk about something every parent feels but rarely escapes—overwhelm. Between packed schedules, constant noise, and the pressure to “do it all,” finding peace can feel out of reach. Drawing from her book Overbooked and Overwhelmed, Tara shares her personal story of hitting a turning point that revealed just how disconnected she had become—from God, from her purpose, and even from the present moments of motherhood. With honesty and encouragement, she reminds parents that peace isn't found in perfect systems or better time management, but in a deeper awareness of God's presence in the middle of everyday chaos. Together, they explore what it looks like to shift your mindset, slow down internally (even when life doesn't), and reconnect with what truly matters. Tara offers practical, grace-filled strategies for navigating overstimulation, cultivating self-awareness, and breaking free from the cycle of constant busyness. If you're feeling stretched thin, mentally exhausted, or just longing for a little more calm in your parenting journey, this conversation will meet you right where you are—and point you toward lasting peace. Aaron sits down with Glen Kunofsky, Founder and CEO of SURMOUNT, for a wide-ranging conversation on growing up in a middle-class New York household, buying his first investment property at 19, and spending three years in brokerage without a meaningful paycheck before finally cracking the code on net lease. Glen shares how a chance connection with Carol's Corp unlocked a career-defining pivot away from hotels, how his wife's KPMG salary kept the lights on during the lean years, and why relationships over transactions isn't just a hat on the wall — it's the operating system behind a firm that grew from 35 to 130 people in three years. From assuming mortgages at 13% interest to pioneering the private market for sale-leasebacks, this episode is packed with unfiltered lessons from one of the most unconventional paths to the top of commercial real estate.Key Takeaways:• The best operators build their book before they need it — relationships compound long before transactions do• 18 months of no closings isn't failure — it's the cost of entry for anyone without a playbook• Pivoting from hotels to net lease didn't happen by strategy; it happened by curiosity and a family phone call• Paying junior brokers a base salary — not just splits — is how you build loyalty, not just production• The smallest client today can be your largest referral source in 10 years• Scaling from 35 to 130 people in three years is a byproduct of culture, not a growth strategyKey Timestamps:(00:00:00) – Growing Up in Queens, New York: Teachers, Carpool, and Middle-Class Roots(00:02:09) – Undiagnosed ADHD, Learning by Listening, and Getting A's When It Mattered(00:03:40) – Paper Routes, Snow Shoveling, and Always Having a Work Project(00:04:30) – First Foray Into Real Estate: Construction Labor at 13(00:08:30) – First Investment Property at 19: Closing With $2,000 Down on a House(00:09:31) – Still in School: Acquiring 19 Houses Within a Mile of ASU(00:13:55) – Meeting His Wife — and His First Tenant — on Day Two in Arizona(00:18:30) – 18 Months Without a Closing — Then a Pivot That Changed Everything(00:20:30) – The Phone Call That Launched a Net Lease Career: Carol's Corp and the Burger King Listing(00:26:00) – How Glen Built His Team: Base Salaries, Long Tenures, and No Training Your Competition(00:31:00) – The Culture Behind the Growth: Open Brokerage, Relationships Over Transactions(00:33:35) – Biggest Curveball: Surviving Three Years Without Real Income(00:36:15) – Advice for Young Brokers: Start With the Guy Who Has One Property, Not a Hundred(00:38:36) – What Surmount Actually Does: Four Business Lines, Billions Under Management(00:44:04) – The Legacy Question: What Glen Wants the Story to SayKey Topics Discussed:Commercial Real Estate Podcast, Private Equity Podcast, Commercial Real Estate Investing, Net Lease Brokerage, Sale-Leaseback Strategy, Real Estate Private Equity, Franchise Real Estate, QSR Net Lease, Single Tenant Net Lease, Investment Real Estate, Breaking Into Commercial Real Estate, Brokerage Mentorship, Building a Brokerage Team, Mentor Mentee Relationships, Multi-Family Investing, Arizona Real Estate, Assumable Mortgages, Hotel Brokerage, Pivoting in Real Estate, Real Estate Culture, Relationships Over Transactions, Commercial Property Management, Team Building in Brokerage, Real Estate Portfolio, Early Real Estate Investing, Wealth Building Through Real Estate, CEO Interview Podcast, Limitless, Aaron Zucker, Glen Kunofsky, Surmount, Marcus and Millichap, Carol's Corp, Burger King Net Lease, Arby's Net Lease, Panera Bread, Institutional Brokerage, Private Capital, Advisory Real Estate, Construction Management, Balance Sheet Investing, Family Office Real Estate, NNN Properties, Freestanding Retail, Limitless Podcast, Aaron ZuckerMentions:Glen's LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/glen-kunofsky-55633216/More of Limitless:Web: zuckerinvestmentgroup.comLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/aaron-zucker-zig/IG: @zuckerinvestmentgroupX: @ZIG_CRE

The Carpool with Kelly and Lizz

Lizz is feeling MUCH better for today's podcast. She had a plan to get through the morning sickness and got her pep back in her step. Over at the Stumpe household, you might hear an extra voice coming through the microphone. Kelly has not mastered the art of the sneak-a-way and Fred will be making an appearance on the podcast!  This leads to a great Advice Question from a Carpool listener. She's headed back to work and needs help finding childcare. What are the best ways to find a nanny and how much do babysitters cost? Kelly and Lizz share their experiences and advice. Lizz needs some advice of her own as she can't seem to settle on a baby name for baby #3. She has a vibe she's going for. Any ideas?  One final Advice Question comes from an indecisive mom looking for a new family car. This illustrates that there is no single "best family car." It's all going to depend on that family's needs and how they plan on using it. What works for one family might not work for the next and Kelly explains why.

Big show today on the Carpool! Kicking it off with a recap of the Chicago auto show and spending time with Mama Knows Carseats. Kelly may have posted too many reels, but how could she not when there was so much content? It was a big auto show for parents as Britax became the first car seat company to ever reveal a new product at an auto show. Why aren't more carseat companies taking advantage of these shows? The good news is you'll be able to see plenty of them at the Car Mom Auto Show!  The other big story from over the weekend was, of course, the Super Bowl. The game itself was pretty boring, but Kelly and Lizz both enjoyed the halftime show. Plus, were there any standout commercials or was it all just 'meh'?  Lizz has some Low Lift Luxuries she's bringing to the table this week... literally. Kelly is getting ready to give up sugar for lent. Dare we say it will be her new micro-hobby? Then, Kelly and Lizz answer one of their most asked questions - how much does Lizz make?!?  Finally it is onto an interview with Madeline Custer, creator of the Moves app. She tells Kelly and Lizz the story behind the creation of the fitness app and how it has grown over the years.
