Today we're going to explore the idea of rediscovering meaning, joy, and purpose in our lives. It is easy to look at the state of your life and see every moment where things went wrong but this leads us to a place in our mind that is really negative. Let me show you how to fix that.
Last week we talked about burnout and how important it is for each one of us to take account of what our world looks like right now and how burnout might be impacting us. It's really important that we start to recognize the signs of burnout and we start to put interventions into place so we don't have to experience that. Today I am going to give you 9 tips and trick you can put into place to help you better manage stress and if you are in that place of burnout you can get yourself back in control.
Burnout is a state emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion when there is excessive and prolonged stress. We start to burnout when we feel overwhelmed - when we get emotionally drained. When it comes to dealing with burnout we have to… Recognize. Reverse. Resilience.
Today we are going to talk about boundaries. Now boundaries can be a bit of a confusing topic for some people. We've heard of having strict boundaries. Some people are on the extreme, they're like Camelot. On the other hand some boundaries look like a soccer field. No walls, there is just a person and a referee. People are running all over the place and it's chaotic because there are no boundaries. If I'm being honest we need to be more fluid then that. It doesn't have to be one or the other in fact your boundaries should look more like a house with a fence.
The quality of your thoughts and the expectations you have for yourself are going to continuously impact your moods, feelings and it really shifts a lot of behaviors and results in your life.
Self-care is a buzzword these days and it is really important to make sure we understand that self-care is not the same as being self-indulgent or being selfish. Self-care means taking care of yourself so that you can be healthy, you can be well, you can do your job, you can help and care for others, and you can do all the things you need to and want to accomplish in a day. Everyone must develop their own relationship with self-care. Yoga and stretching are great ways to start.
We are pulled in many directions based on all the demands we have in our lives some are from the world around us and some we put on ourselves. Day to day and moment to moment we have to decide what is going to happen. We choose how we spend our time. I have put together a list of time skills so that you can do an assessment on which skills you need to develop or which things you need to improve in order to better manage your time.
It seems like throughout time and history people have always wanted to "manage" time and the thing is is that we can't manage time. We all have the same exact amount of time available to us. But having an exceptional set of skills can really help us to navigate through that time that we do have available. Over the next two weeks, I'm going to talk about a few of these core skills that you can start to work on that will help you to better navigate through the time that you have available to you.
The world we live in is really chaotic right now and for a lot of us it doesn't matter what side we're on we are finding that we constantly feel like we're in a state of chaos. Today we are going to talk about some mindset shifts that we can make that will help us to shift out of that chaos mindset.
We are going to continue where we left off last week and continue talking about building confidence. You have to change your perspective and your mindset and you have to choose to be more confident which is much easier said then done!
It is so important that we are able to walk through life experiences and still maintain a level of confidence inside of us. When we're confident we are more likely to move forward rather then back away life's challenges. When things don't go right, confidence is that thing that allows us to step up and try again. It takes time and it's a process but by shifting shifting how you present yourself you can create confidence and that will propel you towards your goals. Change is not an event, change is a process. Tony Robbin says "It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives but what we to consistently" I often wonder why some people achieve so much success when there are other people who talk about working so hard and achieve much less. Why is that? What was the difference? One of the main factors that separates the successful people and the unsuccessful people is the power of consistency. A lot of the time we see someone who's successful and we think "they're more intelligent, more ambitious or more persistent" or maybe even "they're luckier than everyone else" and fair enough these are all really key factors to achieving success but consistency is really that main ingredient that goes above all the others. Consistency is so important when it comes to really making changes we want to see in our lives.
Imagine preparing to climb a mountain. If you were going to climb a mountain tomorrow - how would you prepare? You might: - gather your snacks, water bottle, shoes, etc. - pack them in a bag and place it at the front door. - tidy up your house to make sure you aren't stressed about that in the morning - write yourself a "don't forget" list that you can check off before you drive away in the morning - set an alarm - go to bed early Think of each day as having a mountain of its own and what do you need to do to prepare. If you want to have a great day today - you need to prepare the night before
Today we are going to talk about mental health and how we can really support somebody who is walking through a challenge within their mental health. And this could be anybody in your life. It could be you yourself and how you need too help yourself, this could be your partner or your best friend, your mom, your dad or even a sibling. Our mental health is so so important and if you are somebody who struggles with mental health you know just how difficult it can be especially if you feel like you're dealing with it alone and you're not getting the support you need. Our mental health impacts our physical health as well as our environment and those around us. Join me in the journey extremexcellence.ca
Happiness is a matter of perspective. That might sound strange but the reality of that is that the level of joy, the amount of positivity, the happiness we experience in our world directly comes from inside of us. The belief systems that you have are going to determine what your world looks like. When you intentionally slow down or remove the noise and step out of the chaos and into the present moment, that is where you'll find joy. It's not out there, it's not beyond you, it's not something or someone in your world changing. It's a matter of right here, right now finding a joy within. They say that all's well end's well but all's well begins well too.
Our mind has these two main components these include our conscious thinking and our subconscious thinking. The conscious part of our mind is the part that we actively think with. This part of our mind has very limited resources available to us. Now our subconscious mind is enormous. It has huge amounts of resources available to us. When we want to start achieving more and seeing different results in our life. We have to get that ant to take control of our elephant. Join me to learn more

Humans are incredibly lazy beings so we tend to avoid a lot of things out of survival. We avoid as much as we possibly can as much emotional and physical stress as we can. We have all procrastinated at some point in our lives whether it's all the time or even sometimes WE ALL DO IT! Procrastination is more than just not wanting to do something there's an intention behind it. When we intentionally put something off whether its because of fear or worry whatever it was that was creating that procrastination

Have you thought about what you want to be doing in five years' time? Are you clear about what your main objective at work is at the moment? Do you know what you want to have achieved by the end of today? If you want to succeed, you need to set goals. Without goals you lack focus and direction. To accomplish your goals, however, you need to know how to set them. You can't simply say, "I want" and expect it to happen. Goal setting is a process that starts with careful consideration of what you want to achieve, and ends with a lot of hard work to actually do it.
Self-regulation is the ability to monitor and manage your energy states, emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in ways that produce positive results. Every single day there are going to be difficulties, trials, maybe some stress, and ups and downs that we find ourselves in. What we want to be able to do for ourselves is sort of shift and change ourselves depending on our circumstances. We want to be doing this to keep ourselves in a zone that allows us to get things accomplished, feel productive, and feel more connected with others.
We are all going through our own individual struggles. Take heed: your partner is not an exception to this rule. Sometimes, no matter what you do, they will struggle. When that is the case, resist the urge to blow up at them about how much effort you're putting in, etc., because I promise this will not get you the result you're looking for. Be warm, be helpful, offer them as much love as you can. Crucially, think about how they behave when you are feeling down — this is a good clue as to how you can help them.
Depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. It affects how you feel, think and behave and you may have trouble doing normal day-to-day activities. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major effect on our lives. Many of us are facing challenges that can be stressful, overwhelming, and cause strong emotions. In fact, the restrictions are causing increasing mental health issues by making us behave similarly to those with clinical depression and therefore more and more people are experiencing depression and anxiety. This is where self-care and action steps come in because during these times we sometimes forget how important it is. Free resource can be obtained at: http://eepurl.com/c4-cmf
What we focus on really determines the trajectory of our day, our week, and our world. Today we are going to take that same principle and talk to you about how what we focus on in our relationships is going to be critical to the health and well being of that relationship Join me in the journey extremexcellence.ca
Focus · to cause (something, such as attention) to be directed at something specific · We focus on the good things when we are happy. If you want to be happy do not dwell in the past, do not worry about the future, focus on living fully in the present. We can focus on the good by making ourselves happy. Many people have validated that we can make ourselves happy. “Happiness depends on ourselves.”
What are the secrets to success? Well, successful people work hard. But you work hard too, right? And if you keep working harder and harder you're just going to be miserable. So what's the answer? Successful people don't just work hard, they also work different. Extremely successful people make the impossible possible. And they do it by being resourceful. Creative.
Sometimes, you don't get the results you want or deserve in life. Despite having a clear goal and plenty of ambition, it can seem like everything is going against you. If you're not getting the results you want that's okay. While it may feel like the end of the world, it's a part of your unique journey on this planet. The challenge is to avoid getting caught in the negativity of your current situation at the expense of action. The only way you can change your reality is by doing something about it. "Happiness makes you more successful than success makes you happy." The takeaway here is that re-aligning our mindset towards positivity is the first key to progress. While you haven't got the results you wanted yet, you can find a way to appreciate your journey rather than allowing the binary outcomes of success or failure to define you
Before you can quit your bad habits, you need to first identify what you're doing wrong. Once you recognize your bad habits, you need to make changes. You need to replace your bad habits with positive habits—make them a new way of life so you can be more successful. So use this as a reference to help you stop doing things that are holding you back from being successful.
When was the last time you gave 100% of your attention to, well, anything? Multitasking is a myth. Most surprisingly, multitasking studies show that when we think we're multitasking, we actually aren't multitasking. It's impossible for our brains to focus on two tasks at once it's actually rapidly switching between them. On the other hand, single-tasking is proven to help you get tasks done quicker and at a higher quality than trying to do multiple things at once.
A great meditation teacher once said there should be no difference between meditating in a cave or in the center of a city because peace is inside us and is not dependent on external circumstances. Chaos is natural if you look at the world, it's everywhere but to find your peace in the midst of chaos is something you have to deal with. Life is unpredictable and will bring about many different emotions and mind states that can be challenging and difficult, even unbearable at times. But beneath all the dramas, distractions, and problems, there is a still and calm place you can rest in.
Goal-setting is an essential tool for self-motivation and self-drivenness. It gives meaning to our actions and the purpose of achieving something higher. By setting goals, we get a roadmap of where we are heading to and what is the right way that would lead us there. Goals play a dominant role in shaping the way we see ourselves and others. A person who is focused and goal-oriented is likely to have a more positive approach towards life and perceive failures as temporary setbacks, rather than personal shortcomings.
Imagine a small rowboat. Your goals are like the rudder on the boat. They set the direction and determine where you go. If you commit to one goal, then the rudder stays put and you continue moving forward. If you flip-flop between goals, then the rudder moves all around and it is easy to find yourself rowing in circles.
We go about our lives steeped in one mindset or another, without the clear realization that whatever it is we think about or focus on consistently, we move towards. Not everyone believes in the power of their thoughts. They brush it off while dwelling on the past or fearing the future, not quite understanding that the very things that they are thinking about, they are inching closer towards. The mind is the most powerful computer in the world at the moment.
Building confidence is one of those things that's so important to how we live our lives. When we lack confidence we carry ourselves differently, we behave differently and that results in us thinking differently. Confidence isn't something that you have, confidence is something that you create. Let me help you create that confidence. Join me in the journey extremexcellence.ca
In most places were dealing with that second wave and I'm sure it feels like our whole world is being controlled. Which makes it feel like we don't get a lot of say in our lives. With the restrictions that have been put in place, our lives very much resemble the symptoms of depression so that is what a lot of us are experiencing. This feeling is overtaking us and stealing our joy. As we get closer to the end of this year, it's time for us to stop and reflect. We need to reflect on what we want the future to look like for us. Even if they don't feel possible for us right now. Join me in the journey extremexcellence.ca

That's where making quality decisions comes in. Making quality decisions will create this creativity, this excitement that builds up inside of us. That will allow you to start to strive towards something better eventually leading to you feeling more accomplished.
In the anxiety series, what you tell yourself matters. In this pandemic, in this time of trial, tribulation, challenge, anxiety, stress, and overwhelm, it is critical that we get ahold of our thoughts. What you focus on, you feel. The thoughts we allow ourselves to hold on to impact our outcomes, our results, our successes and our failures. Join me in the journey extremexcellence.ca

There really is no better time than now to do something or try something different. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not guaranteed so you need to take action with the only time that you are sure of. When you take action, you set the wheels in motion and you increase the number of things that you can do or have done. Also, the number of options available to you begin to increase exponentially. Procrastination is the enemy of action. You know you need to take action, but for some reason, you just can't seem to get yourself to do the things you know you need to be doing. In this video, I am going to talk to you about why we don't seem to take action and a couple of ways that you can work on to start becoming a person of action.
