Send us a textNew episode of Love&BLoved Podcast! #ChatwithLena series when I share spontaneous revelations and confessing them to you. My passion comes from my own journey—surviving human trafficking, addiction, PTSD, and trauma AND finding healing through faith in Christ. I know firsthand that transformation is possible, and that joy, love, peace, purpose, and passion CAN be restored after trauma. The road to healing long but so worth it. But there always will be moments like this one. tell me what do you think and what do you do after mistake? This situations are inevitable no matter how mature in Christ you are no matter race or age, we are all in the same both... humans, and our trauma, mental, physical, and emotional, and spiritual health when not healed will manifest in default modes and negative behaviour. But there is hope!!! You are loved and don't have to be perfect. God is wonderful counsellor and will lead you and guide you and walk beside you. I know this because He did this for me. Matthew 11:28-30 New International Version“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”Here is a meaning of word "yoke" just in case you think about an egg. Literal Meaning: A wooden bar or frame, known as a yoke, is used to join draft animals like oxen for pulling and working together because it distributes the weight evenly between the animals, making it easier for them to pull heavy loads and work as a unit. In the Bible, "yoke" metaphorically represents bondage, oppression, or the weight of a task or obligation, often used in the context of submission to authority, particularly in the context of religious or spiritual freedom. So that's what Jesus did for me .He partnered up with me to carry a heavy load of my trauma, grief and everyday struggles to give me peace and freedom. He did this for me He will do it for you! Personal development is supposed to help you grow, but what if it's actually keeping you stuck? In this episode, we break down the hidden traps of self-improvement—where growth turns into self-sabotage—and how to move forward. What We Cover: The “I Need More Information” Trap – Learning without action isn't progress. Execution is where real growth happens. Perfectionism Paralysis – Waiting for the “perfect” moment? It doesn't exist. Progress beats perfection every time. The “Healing” Excuse – Self-work is valuable, but don't use it as an excuse to avoid discomfort and real-world action. Chasing Motivation Instead of Discipline – Motivation fades. If you don't build habits, you'll stay stuck. Hustle vs. Inner Work Conflict – Too much grinding leads to burnout, too much “inner work” leads to inaction. Balance is key. The “I'm So Different” Syndrome – Overcomplicating your struggles keeps you from progress. Success leaves clues—follow them. How to Actually Use Personal Development the Right Way: Learn, but apply immediately. Take imperfect action—don't wait for the right moment. Be self-aware, but don't get stuck in endless healing. Stop chasing motivation—focus on habits. Balance hustle with self-reflection. This episode is all about breaking free from the self-improvement cycle that keeps you stuck and actually making progress. If this resonates, share it with someone who needs to hear it. What do you do after you crash & burn from burnout? I was talking with a girlfriend the other morning over coffee and we realized it's not “have you experienced burnout” it's “what did it look like?” When I look back at the time I've run into that issue I can point back to being either hurt, depleted of energy, giving more than I really had to give OR I'm giving something my all and things don't seem to be successful and I become apathetic, jaded, exhausted... So it's not only a question of "how did I get here?" It's also a question of "how do I get out of it? And how can I avoid this again in the future?" My guest for this episode was the author of a book that spurred on these questions for me as I read it alongside my mom book club recently. Debra Fileta wrote “Soul Care” and it's about finding life-giving rhythms, live restored, avoiding burnout and discovering unspeakable joy. Some of my favorite quotes from the book... “Burnout is the body's way of crying out for us to pay attention. It's the SOS signal from our nervous system telling us to stop and care for ourselves. But rather than see the signs of burnout as a signal to stop and fill up, so many people do the exact opposite - they try to push through” “Whether we're self-absorbed or self-neglecting, we will end up becoming the center of our own worlds.” “When you're drained, empty and depleted what do you run to? Most often our method is the thing we do as quickly as possible with whatever is available around us...But let me assure you that is the exact opposite of soul care, because soul care is intentional and thought out” Learn more about your ad choices. In episode 642, Megan chats to Bjork Ostrom about how to protect your time and mental well-being as a creator and business owner, so you can continue producing your best work and building the business you desire. Bjork loves to find ways to maximize potential - of people, of technology, of life. His wife Lindsay started a food blog a few years ago and they decided to do just that - maximize its potential. They hope to share what they've learned with other food bloggers here on Food Blogger Pro. Bjork is a terrible chef. In this episode, you'll discover effective strategies to organize your workday for maximum focus and reduced mental clutter, while also uncovering ways to find deeper fulfillment in your work. Key points discussed include: - Purpose prevents burnout: Clearly define the purpose and mission behind your work to stay motivated and avoid burnout. - Recognize "enough": Determine what "enough" looks like for your business and personal life, and set boundaries accordingly. - Implement effective systems: Develop repeatable processes to manage tasks, priorities, and projects, keeping your brain uncluttered. - Practice self-care: Prioritize your mental and physical health, as your brain is the primary tool for your creative work. - Embrace imperfection: Accept that you'll never be "done" and that some level of imperfection is inevitable - focus on continuous improvement. - Seek alignment: Ensure your daily work aligns with your deeper purpose and brings you a sense of flow and fulfillment. - Set boundaries: Establish clear boundaries around technology, work hours, and other commitments to protect your time and energy. - Reflect and adjust: Regularly reflect on what's working and what needs to change, then make small, incremental adjustments. - Leverage support systems: Build a team or community that can provide a "fallback" when you need it, reducing stress. Do It With Intention | Business & Marketing for Massage and Bodywork Therapists
Clarity is so important as you create your ideal massage or bodywork practice. In my years of coaching massage therapists on the business side of their practices, I've seen a lack of clarity about what you want your practice to look like hold so many wonderful practitioners back. In today's episode, I share two critical numbers for bodyworkers. Once you get clear on these numbers, you'll be on your way to building the practice of your dreams. “You can avoid burnout and earn even more income by paying attention to these 2 simple numbers. I want you to get clear on these and you'll be amazed at how much simpler and more straightforward and more clear your practice will become.” This Week on the Do It With Intention Podcast: Learn the difference between the numbers of clients you have and the numbers of sessions you have in a given timeframe (day, week, month, year). Find out how it's much easier to work with your existing clients — making their lives a touch better with the great work you do — than it is to scramble for new ones. And how burnout can affect us both physically and mentally — and lead to us not doing our best work.
