Why Doctors Using AI Might Be Hazardous to Your Health

Does your doctor seem more focused on their screen than on you?  Two-thirds of physicians are now using AI for everything from billing to diagnosis - but here's the kicker - only 38% actually trust the technology. This brewing healthcare disaster isn't just about robots taking doctors' jobs; it's about who's accountable when AI makes a potentially life-altering mistake with your medical information, and why insurance companies are salivating at the thought of using algorithms to deny your claims even faster. Listen as Jeremy, Jason, and Zach dive into the alarming rise of AI in healthcare, how to find meaning in your fitness journey when depression makes everything feel pointless, and why sometimes treating your workout like wiping your ass is the perfect mental approach to consistency. Topics Discussed Why 66% of physicians are using AI despite only 38% trusting it - creating a dangerous accountability gap in healthcare How insurance companies will likely use AI to deny claims faster rather than improve patient care The potential for errors in medical records when AI is used to generate and update patient information The challenge of determining liability when AI contributes to medical errors Using workout data tracking to combat depression's lie that "nothing is working" How Jeremy discovered he'd doubled his strength despite feeling like he wasn't making progress The value of consistency over intensity when building healthy habits Why treating workouts like mundane necessities (like wiping your ass) helps with consistency Finding meaning in fitness when battling existential crises The importance of "showing up" rather than focusing solely on specific fitness goals Resources Research: American Medical Association report on AI adoption in healthcare ---- MORE FROM THE FIT MESS: Connect with us on Threads, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Tiktok Subscribe to The Fit Mess on Youtube Join our community in the Fit Mess Facebook group ---- LINKS TO OUR PARTNERS: Take control of how you'd like to feel with Apollo Neuro Explore the many benefits of cold therapy for your body with Nurecover Muse's Brain Sensing Headbands Improve Your Meditation Practice. Running a business is no easy task, but when you add depression into the mix, it can feel overwhelming. In this episode of the Craft to Career Podcast, I open up about my personal journey as an entrepreneur living with depression. Depression looks different for everyone, and I share what it looks like for me. I discuss why I decided to take medication, my experience trying to go off it, and ultimately why I've chosen to stay on depression and mood-stabilizing medication. Sharing such a personal and sensitive topic wasn't easy, and I questioned whether I should go this deep. But I know there are other business owners who have faced—or are currently facing—similar challenges. You are not alone. Coping with Depression as a Business Owner One of the key takeaways from this episode is that you can run a successful business, even while managing depression. I share practical tips that have helped me structure my business to accommodate those times when I feel low. These strategies include: Outsourcing tasks to lighten the load. Automating processes to keep things running smoothly. Prioritizing self-care, even when it feels like there's no time. By making adjustments to my workflow and mindset, I've found ways to navigate both the demands of entrepreneurship and the challenges of depression. Seeking Support I want to emphasize that I'm not a doctor, and this episode isn't about offering medical advice. Instead, it's a candid account of my personal experience. If you're dealing with depression or mood disorders, I encourage you to seek help from a qualified medical professional. This episode is for anyone who's ever felt the weight of running a business while managing their mental health. My hope is that it helps you feel seen, heard, and supported. Listen to the Episode Tune in to this week's episode of the Craft to Career Podcast for an honest conversation about managing depression while running a business. You are not alone. You can run a business—even with depression. Did this episode resonate with you? Share your thoughts and join the conversation by leaving a comment or review. Let's support each other on this journey of entrepreneurship and mental health.

Healing Scriptures and inspirational messages from the Holy Bible Shared by Eld

People are hurting. People are depressed, worried, troubled, grieving, and dying. If you're not careful, the ubiquitous presence of each of these matters can and will infect you and pull you down into a pit of despair, anxiety, and hopelessness. As believers, let us never forget the hope that we have in the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us never forget the dynamic power of prayer. Let us never forget to reach out and touch someone who is hurting. Do it today. You just might save a soul on the brink of giving up.❤️ I reminded of the song that my grandmother used to sing: “Throw out the lifeline. Somebody is sinking. ““ Oh God, have mercy!

Episode 263: Professor Scott Galloway: Why Following Your Passion is Only For The Rich

Habits and Hustle

Is following your passion really the way to go if you want to become rich?  In this episode of Habits and Hustle, I chat with Professor Scott Galloway, our esteemed guest on this episode, who turned a major disappointment – being turned away from UCLA tryouts – into a driving force that sparked profound personal growth and transformation. A renowned author and motivational speaker, Tony shares tales of his struggles and successes, unearthing invaluable insights about commitment, finding your niche, and embracing personal evolution. Professor Galloway explains how success isn't merely about intelligence. It's a complex blend of risk-taking, aggression, sales skills, seizing opportunities, and living life to the fullest. He also explains how it's not all about personal journeys - we also navigate the broader societal landscape, examining the profound impact technology has on relationships, dating, and socialization, as well as the loneliness epidemic that's silently wreaking havoc in our society. Scott Galloway is a Professor of Marketing at NYU Stern School of Business where he teaches Brand Strategy and Digital Marketing to MBA students and is the author of the Digital IQ Index ®, a global ranking of prestige brands' digital competence. In 2012, Professor Galloway was named "One of the World's 50 Best Business School Professors". What we discuss: (0:00:01) - Following Passion and Personal Growth (0:10:54) - The Correlation Between Intelligence and Success (0:15:12) - Moving to London and Life Experiences (0:26:50) - Evolution of Courses and Personal Reflections (0:31:16) - Technology's Impact on Human Relationships (0:44:04) - Challenges and Solutions for Young Men (0:51:10) - Technology's Impact on Relationships and Mental Health (1:03:36) - Social Media Impact, Fitness Importance (1:10:50) - Coping With Depression and Hollywood Frustrations (1:21:13) - Book Promotion and Appreciation Key takeaways: The truth about the common advice of “following your passion” is that the person giving you this advice is already rich. They also most likely made their billions in iron or smelting. Ideally, find something you like that has 90 plus percent employment rate, which things like acting, modeling, sports do not have. Then, commit to becoming great at it. So if you find something you're good at and you start making money at it, the passion will follow.  The correlation between intelligence and success exists, but it tops out. A person who's got a 120 IQ is much more likely to be successful than someone at 80. But above that, it flatlines. Plus, when you get really, really smart, it actually turns on you and that is because you become so thoughtful and see so many downsides to everything. One thing that entrepreneurs have is they're too stupid to know we're going to fail.  To learn more about Professor Scott: Website: https://www.profgalloway.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/profgalloway/ My links: Website: https://www.jennifercohen.com/ Instagram: @therealjencohen  Learn more about your ad choices. Today, we're exploring a variety of coping strategies and treatment options, and not all of them are textbook. We've both lived alongside depression for most of our lives and if we've learned anything it's that each person's relationship with depression is unique; coping strategies are not one-size-fits-all; and humor can go a long way toward healing. Whether is it impacting you or a loved one, depression can be difficult to discuss or even acknowledge. Empty Cauldrons explores the isolating influence it can have and why many people resist professional help. With contributions from Pagan clergy, depression sufferers, and therapists, author Terence P Ward creates a picture of depression that draws upon both science and religion. He also shares his own experiences with this common affliction and the spiritual methods he has used for relief.Discover how to draw off miasma, appeal to the gods of the wind, purify yourself with sound, and host a traditional Hellenic ancestor feast. Learn about conducting shadow work, tending a depression shrine, keeping a dream journal, and much more. Throughout the book, Ward compassionately presents dozens of simple strategies for developing a polytheistic relationship with depression, seeking comfort, and rekindling hope.

Unfortunately getting clean and finding recovery does not mean we are exempt from the ebbs and flows of life. When life gets lifey in recovery, I find myself in a dark place from time to time; the good thing is that I don't let myself stay there. In this episode I'll discuss my struggle over the past few months and how I have been able to get through it without picking up a drug or a drink. **As always, I am NOT a licensed therapist and this should not be substituted for therapy or taken as advice/suggestions** If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, help is available. Another conversation between kindred spirits, Tiana Bryant is a contagious light of gentleness, understanding, and genuine kindness. We have been following each other on socials for a while and we always felt called to each other's energy and spirit, as if we'd already known each other as good friends. This is our very first full conversation and I am so grateful for it and for Tiana's vulnerability to share her experience, her awareness, and her perspective. You may follow Tiana and her journey @tianabrynt on Instagram :)In this episode, we discuss topics including but not limited to: what is Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) and Tiana's experience with it, coping with depression and anxiety, overcoming intrusive thoughts and what they look like, ritualizing self-care, the importance of exploring your body and understanding your emotions, taking medicinal microdoses of psilocybin (shrooms), and more. I, myself, learned so much from this conversation and as I continue to listen to it over and over again, I am led to self-inquiry in gentle and expansive ways. I hope you are led to (self)discovery, as well. If you feel you are experiencing PMDD, I encourage you to dive into more research and consult with your doctor if you are able! If you are experiencing depression and/or anxiety, gentle reminder that you are not your thoughts and you are very much so loved and purposeful. Please try to seek out a safe space with a loved one and express yourself. All that is mentioned in this episode is rooted in personal experience. Consult a professional, as needed.
