He's such a fun and Intelligent guy and I really enjoyed just hanging out with him and getting to know him more. We spoke about him teaching at the Appalachian Center for Crafts, his recent achievement of becoming a Journeyman Smith with the American Bladesmith Society and what it takes to accomplish that and the importance of being a part of the ABS, his passion for bladesmithing and why it means so much to him, and of course winning Forged In Fire and how that opportunity came about(as well a great behind the scenes story)!     In this Episode I get to speak with legendary actress Adrienne Barbeau! This is a conversation I wont ever forget and I'm so truly thankful that she took some time to speak with me. We talk about her appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, how and when she got into theater, her experience overseas as an actress and how it was an eye opening experience for her, going to New York and what her first year was like, playing Rizzo in the original production of Grease and if she related to the character. It was also so great hearing about her working with the great Bea Arthur and how she made an impression on her, why her character Ruthie in Carnivale was her favorite character to play and why it was so hard to let that character go, what she likes from a director, writing her memoir, what it means to be a mom and so much more! Finally Adrienne takes on my quick shortened version of My Questions of Torture and Awesomeness and we do a little Word Association game at the end with people and things from throughout her career. He told me about meeting Pope Francis and what was the thing he was most nervous about and also meeting President Obama twice and what that experience was like. We then talked about him being on The Amazing Race three times and what a crazy and fun experience that was and also about his partner on The Amazing Race and his longtime friend Nate "Big Easy" Lofton. We spoke about her solo album that was released this year digitally and how much fun it was to make and work with so many talented artists, her recent cover of the classic 'What The World Needs Now Is Love', the challenges of doing the audiobook for her bestselling auto-bio book Neon Angel: A Memoir of a Runaway, how she became a Chainsaw Carving Artist, a favorite moment of hers when she was lead singer of The Runaways, and how proud she is of her very talented son Jake Hays. I also loved hearing about her meeting David Bowie for the first time. Finally, Cherie takes on My Questions of Torture and Awesomeness!     In this Episode I speak with Putnam County(my hometown)Mayor Randy Porter! Im so thankful for Randy for taking the time to speak with me during such trying times for our community these past few months. Mr. Porter talks about his early career as a paramedic and then just three years later being promoted  as Emergency Services/911 Director and serving for 30 years. We also talk about what made him decide to run for mayor and what that first day was like for him and how important it is for him to have the support of his family. We then talk about the tornados that touched down here in Putnam County on March 3rd and what those first 48 hours were like for him both professionally and personally and the challenges he and the community faced but also how much it meant to have the support of local communities and counties come to our aid and how his background in emergency management helped him. Finally, Mayor Porter talks about the visit by the president and how much that meant for the community, dealing with a worldwide pandemic and the challenges that brings, the importance of all of the emergency workers,and his friendship with Cookeville city Mayor Ricky Shelton. I grew up as a kid watching Rudy do the sports on WSMV Channel 4 for years even until I was an adult and I always appreciated his kindness and passion as a sports newscaster and I always enjoyed watching him on tv. This was such an honor to hear his story and im so proud now that I can share it with you. We talk about how he has been enjoying retirement and what hes been doing during that time as well as coming over with his family as an immigrant at the age of 5 Germany and how he and his family adjusted to a new country. We then talk about how sports newscasting came about for him,his first job,,how he came to Nashville and got on on WSMV Channel 4,what it was like on set with Dan,Demetria,and Bill and the family like environment they shared. He also gives some advice to those thinking about getting into the news as well as why he started to wear sweaters on air. Chloe at 12 years old has already accomplished so much and has such an amazing personality and outlook on life and obstacles. We talk about her daily life of living with PCD and how important it is to be positive and also how it sometimes can be frustrating but also important to use that as motivation, we also talk about some of her fun experiences in the past 2 years....her experience on walking the runway at New York Fashion Week,her surfing and piano lessons,making her very first speech,signing her autograph on her very own book,and so much more!
